Service was lacking and not attentive to our needs. No server remained with the birthday party, so additional service water and drinks took a while. Send more effort put into the takeaway service than the eat-in

I’m no master chef 😎😎but that was excellent had the fish goat curry dumplings soup plantain ..I’ve eaten a lot of Caribbean food over the years this is possibly the best that’s a big statement. We’ve mentioned that the business is so successful you guys should consider opening other branches throughout Bristol! One thing that I would say though is in the future it would be good to remodel the shop and make it a bit more modern as over time it has its wear and tear but apart from that thank you for always blessing us with Great food !

Looking forward to trying out Jamaican food in Bristol and wasn’t disappointed! Very tasty jerk chicken and rice and peas. Festivals were nice but a tad bit too oily. Waiting time wasn’t too bad. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Also don’t expect everything on the menu to be available past 6pm haha!

So I ordered 2 XL meals 2 festivals 2lots of plantain waited 30mins (which I don’t mind because usually worth the wait) to then get given 1 XL meal which looked like a standard large and only 1 festival and no plantain for £15, then when asked if they could give me the correct order was told I’d have to wait an additional 20mins….. as a regular customer spending at least 100 a month im very disappointed!

I absolutely love the food here and give it a 5 star rating. However, the wait for your food can be very long. There is nowhere to stand/sit and wait, so you often have to come outside to allow others to come inside to order as the place is so small. Secondly, you MUST check your order before you leave. They are prone to getting orders wrong, either giving you something you didn't order and/or forgetting parts of your order. Lastly, I feel staff need customer training. People in the community love the food, but when you have to wait over half an hour for takeaway food, get home, and then realise your order is wrong, staff have no concern. They refuse to apologise or refund. It's a regular problem at this establishment, which is a shame. The small number of staff aren't able to handle the high number of orders in a timely and efficient manner.

This one is a certified CLASSIC If you live in Bristol and you don’t eat here, I don’t know what to say to you, apart from “I’m sorry”. When you come here, you are in for the best Jamaican food I’ve had in the UK and it’s truly authentic, cooked with love and there are no concessions made for anyone’s taste apart from those of the chefs here. The curry goat is powerfully flavoured, rich and spiced; the jerk chicken is smoky and beautiful and adds new layers onto an established classic. The cost is irrelevant when the flavours are this good, but it’s a bargain. Portions are massive and you will be eating soul food which will revive, nourish and bless you with the sort of feelings you can’t make at home without a lifetime of knowledge and culture. Stunning - 10/10, it must be visited.

Friendly service and super tasty food with good choices. I got the jerk chicken with rice and peas and a pineapple soda which was so good. I will say this, the rice and peas with curry goat and plantain with vegetables was spot on...the waiting time can be extremely long...so you better take a reading book with you while you sit on those very uncomfortable chairs with hardly any space to move once there are 4 or more people in the restaurant....they don't accept cash only card payment, and the card machine can take its time processing your payment...one more thing I forgot to mention they only do 2 sizes large and extra large and I'm not sure why they don't do a small meal also... I find it very costly....based on the prices of the food I only visit once a month but its worth the visit....enjoy and nuff respect to the rice and ting crew...

I was so hungry expecting something totally authentic, but was so disappointed with my meal and the presentation of it. The half cooked rice n peas was melted in the stero foam box which came out in clumps 🤢🤢, the Jerk chicken tasted nothing like jerk the chicken was under cooked and cold, I asked for leg I got breast. I was as surprised as anyone at how good the food here was. Very few hotel restaurants fall into the category of places I’d want to eat again - this is one of them. 🙌🏻 This is the restaurant at The Holiday Inn, which is in the former council buildings opposite the back of the former Debenhams. Bristol is a place of former things. Unassuming, in the manner of hotels, you’d expect something more ordinary, full of angry travelling sales-people. Inside though, despite a typical hotel layout restaurant with lots of space and large bar, this place rises above expectations. The bar sells Löwenbräu; German lager as it should be. A nice touch and a good start. The food is a mix of typical hotel and some specialities- to start I had arancini, which were tasty, followed by a sizzling kebab platter. Well cooked. Of the latter; wow, such meat. A massive platter of chicken and lamb sheekh with bread and sauce. So very good and so very unexpected. They have a decent chef here. Very well done. There were puddings, but I had no room 😆 Good service and a decent meal. What more could you want if you’re in a hotel. Two paws up 🙌🏻

I have eaten from here in the past and it has been good. Unfortunately, not enough care is taken to remove the bones from the chicken for the jerk wraps. The mishap resulted in a dental problem for me; a painful tooth from unassumingly biting into the wrap and hitting bone. I would probably have forgone leaving a negative review (things like this can happen) but it has been some weeks since the incident and I am still experiencing pain. Message for the owner: please take more care with the removal of bones.
