Great place, great music, great food and great service! You will not be disappointed!

Atmosphere was incredible, cake was incredible, water was incredible, rice and peas was incredible, waiter was incredible

food was excellent, restirant was very clean and had a nice ambiance, waiter was a kind respectable young man called tylan edwards

Drove an hour to eat here at 6pm on Monday. Doors shut, closed. Please update your hours! Rang the number and can see through the window a lady at the counter, she just hung up the phone without answering. We tried calling ahead of time too and assume she did same thing. Would have saved us a wasted trip and parking fee if she actually answered. Pretty disappointing. EDIT: To the response from owner (appreciate a response), however we called a couple of times on route and Open sign was not on, I even knocked on door. Looked closed and watched her hang up the phone she was just sitting at the desk. No other details, so we went somewhere else.

Excellent food and service. We went on a Sunday early evening (group of 7 of us). We ordered a range of dishes and enjoyed all of them. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. Would recommend and return to try more vegan Caribbean food.

Delicious vegan Carribbean food. Friendly service. So tasty my partner ordered a second of what we had for takeaway to have for lunch the next day! Great portion sizes too.

Wasn't impressed when reading the menu.. But MY GOD! So damn tasty. Legit. Best thing I've eaten in months. Jerk Tofu, dumplings, steak strips. I don't like kale, but they way they did it. De-fk-licious

Wow! What an absolute gem of a place! The food was amazing and the staff were great. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. So much flavour. Can't recommend enough! Perfect, we will be back for more.

Visited last evening and this was my first time eating Caribbean food. What a treat! Four of us ordered 4 different dishes to share and they were all absolutely delicious. Thank you Real Fi for an excellent supper and when at the wardrobe theatre I shall definitely drop in again.

My friend and I tried the Jamaican Curry Chunks, the Okras and Butter Beans, the BBQ Veggie Mince and the Jerk Tofu with Spicy Kale. All of it was incredible. Just jam packed with flavours and great textures. I get a lot of takeaways but I rarely come on line especially the next day to write a review! Give your tastebuds a treat! 😂

We ADORE Fi Real. Not a bad item on the menu. Fi Real is our go to take away and we are always excited to share it when we have guests. 10/10.

This has been my go to place to get vegan Caribbean Food in Bristol for years now. In fact I think it is unique in that respect. I don't know of such an eatery in Birmingham. so yeah, go Bristol! The food was up to its usual high standard, the service was great and the banana cake -scrumptious. My personal favourite is the lemon and blueberry cake, but, unfortunately, there was none available on that day. One slight criticism is that the room felt cold and could have been warmer. Other than that 5 star all the way.

This is a Vegan/Vegetarian food, non-alcoholic drinks are on sale. They offer take away service and large groups like us are catered for, the only problem was that our reservation was mixed so we had to eat quickly and leave so others could be accommodated.

Loved this restaurant. The food was so very tasty. We went on a Wednesday, so we’re able to get a table easily. The menu choice isn’t vast, but everything you could wish for is on there. Soft drinks only, for those who may like a beer or wine. But I really think you don’t need it. The food was so delicious :)

Yummy! One of my Bristol favourites.

Jerk tofu is a dish I literally dream about and can't not order it every time I go to Fi Real. However a friend had chickpea curry last night. That may have to be my choice next trip. The food is divine !

Very tasty food at really good prices. The staff are nice and I enjoyed my stay. I had the pepper strips and fried plantains.

Had the chickpea curry with rice and peas and partner had tofu jerk with spicy kale. Both delicious. The curry is a very reasonable portion. Everything was delicious and flavoursome. Super friendly staff.

What delicious food. The balance of spices was perfect. If I lived in Bristol I'd be sure to visit often which made it all the more of a shame that it was nearly empty on a Sunday. Friendly staff.

I cannot overstate how much I love Fi Real, their food is amazing, the portions are generous and the staff are great. We get takeaway from them on a regular basis, and have never been disappointed.

I didn't wait long at all for my food, curry soya chunks recommendation was delicious, hearty and a great portion. Lemon and blueberry cake was so moist too! Super friendly staff, can't wait to revisit and try other dishes they didn't have available.

This place is so delicious! And it's incredible that everything is vegan. Living in New York, I have had some very good vegan food, but this was seriously some of the best! The peppered strips and the spicy kale with tofu were some of my favorite dishes.

Fi Real is AMAZING! We ordered 3 dishes plus the rice and peas and plantain… everything was delicious! We had the Ackee and tofu which was delicious; such good flavours and lovely textures. We also had the jerk tofu with spicy kale- the tofu was done beautifully and had amazing flavour. We also had the barbecue vegimince which was sooo flavourful and lovely. The rice and peas were lovely and moist and the plantain was good too. The vibe inside the restaurant was great too with candles on each table and beautiful art and good music. All in all, amazing vegan Caribbean food!

I just eat at Fi Real and it was lovely. I had the jerk tofu with spicy kale, rice and beans and steamed veg. Everything was delicious. A special mention to the steamed veg, which was so tasty. I wish I knew how they did it so I could eat it every day. I a world where so many vegan places are all junk food, this was some different. Wholesome, healthy, and tasty food that made me feel so happy. I will be back, next time I am in Bristol.

Had high hopes for this place but they were not met. The food was reasonably nice but just very basic. Like the kind of thing you'd cook for yourself. To reply to the owner: there are some meals that are hearty and delicious and eschew the pretentiousness of fancy presentation. That's a valid category of eating out, but it's not what I meant. I mean when I pay to go out to eat, I expect something more than what I'd quickly rustle up without making an effort, particularly if the portion is small.

Loved it!!! I had the more tasty and warming soup/stew dish here, okras and butter beans is the name. And then I had some fried plantain. The cook and the waiter were very friendly and the environment is nice. The music choice is also great and the volume is just perfect. The decoration of the place is lovely. I will definitely come back! Thank you

Absolutely awful company I don't know how they get away with it! I'm glad to see all the bad reviews on Trustpilot all saying the same thing as I no longer feel alone, and obviously will not be getting my refund no matter how hard a try. I bought a gift card which would not add to my account. I contacted via live chat MULTIPLE times, and they were completely useless everytime. Said they will escalated query to the escalations team and will email back, which the first 3 times I did not receive any email regarding the matter to them, then on the 4th attempt I had a reply saying they're going to terminate my account!! I am so confused as to why they've come to this decision. They're also refusing to give me a refund for this money I've wasted on a gift card with them. I swear it's a set up...and it is so difficult to get a reply from them. On live chat also they'll transfer you to a manager where they will just say the same robotic thing over and over again, avoid your question then end the chat. Seriously, stay away from this awful company!! By far the worst customer service I've ever had from anywhere. I'm in absolute disgust.

The jerk tofu was great and the plantains were delicious (tho the serving was a bit small). But the lentil stew and other veges were pretty bland and there’s not much going on in the way of decor or vibe

Fantastic Vegan Caribbean Restaurant, Good food, friendly atmosphere.

Arrived at the restaurant and saw my friend was in distress. The drink he bought contained nuts, of which he is allergic to. There was no signs pointing out what did or did not contain nuts, no signs showing the ingredients that were used to create the dishes. The drinks had no labels on them to direct people who may have these issues. When brought up to the lady who was taking orders she was cold and didn’t care. Acting like it wasn’t an issue they caused a serious allergic reaction. They also said to us “well this hasn’t been a problem before”, disgraceful. I recommend implementing changes to your food standards and safety in future. Re-Edit: After a further response I am happy with how management have acted in response to the issues my friend has faced. I have asked him to respond on instagram in regards to this. I can understand my review may come across as angry or upset, which I was at the time. I do think this place is lovely and would never recommend someone to not eat here. I hope in future this doesn't happen to anyone else and I am happy to come back in and have a meal. I have removed my previous response as I did not feel it represented my attitudes and was not a respectful review to provide. I have changed my review to be more respectful of this and in future may change it again to be higher. All the best,

Fi real's always a top notch go to high quality choice

Ordered from here on Deliveroo, the driver never delivered it so I rang and the staff were very helpful, remade and sent it again and even threw in a soft drink. Food was speedy and delicious, can’t recommend enough.

Absolutely delicious soul food, it’s a real gem to have this place. It’s music to my vegan belly as their dishes are so tasty and moreish. The side dishes are not to be missed, the texture of the dumplings was spot on. Definitely recommend.

Recommended restaurant to my daughter and her fiancé. I live in Derbyshire and saw Come Dine with Me featuring this restaurant which won! It is a vegetarian restaurant and as my daughter and her partner are vegetarians recently having moved to Bristol I encouraged them to try the food which they did last night. They absolutely loved everything about the food, declaring it to be amazing and delicious!!!!!! Five stars !!!!! Plus a lot more!!

Tastiest takeaway I’ve ever had! Bursting with flavours, I was in vegan heaven.

Traveled to Bristol for day trip came across vegan Caribbean restaurant fi real and WOW AAAAAAAMAZING food ended up staying extra 2 days and wow perfect food cooked to perfection everytime tofu perfect. And the Banana cake tasted like home grandma's special. Definitely going back very soon and staff were polite and very knowledgeable and helpful and atmosphere like home so a big bigup to FI REAL for a taste I'll never forget. Really good independent vegan restaurant. The jerk tofu was brilliant full of flavour. I had a main and two sides and was really full. The food is full of flavour and I really appreciate that it’s a full vegan restaurant. Would deffo go again!

The food here is delicious and the homemade watermelon juice is really good, definitely my go too for a nice healthy takeaway.

Really delicious, and filling, they were big portions but I ate every bit of it! I got the jerk tofu, rice and peas and fried plantains. I'm definitely going back.

First time we tried but I can say it was a Delicious Jamaican vegan food in good size of portions. We tried three different meals and shared with each other. The skpicy ginger, cinnamon and curry flavour was perfectly balanced. I loved the crispy dumplings. So basic but so delicious. All food was perfect without any kind of meat. The Fi Real ginger- pineapple during was nice, too.

Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately transported away from the squalor of Old Market and pleasantly greeted by a well-balanced sound system, spatious interiors that are furnished with soothing original artworks. The staff are professional yet friendly. I ordered Barbeque Vegemince, Rice and Peas, and Fi Real's Sorrel drink. Ordinarily Vegemince is a difficult dish to flavour well, but the chef(s) here achieve an authentic spicy Jamaican flavour explosion that is perfectly balanced by the Rice and Peas - very well done! The Sorrel was something special - sweet, sour, and spicy! Although I grabbed the food to go, the portion sizes were very generous so well worth the money! Will definitely visit here again!

I was surprise the main isn’t served with rice and peas and plantain, you add them as extras but it was a very generous plate of food. The jerk tofu was delicious. A nice quaint and quiet place to eat and catch up with a friend. Good selection of soft drink cans, although pretty expensive. Unfortunately there were some really delicious sounded meals that were crossed of the menu, good for them if they’ve been busy and ran out though I guess

Ordered home delivery. My first time eating African food. Very happy I did. We ordered ackee, okra stew and vegan jerk chicken with rice and beans... All were very nice. If you're Indian, it will feel like you're eating home cooked food ! Very satisfying.

This is by far the best & tastiest Vegan Caribbean food tasted in Bristol, wish we had discovered this gem when we first arrived. I had the Okra & Butter bean stew with fried dumplings and plate of plaintain 🥰

One of my absolute favourite places in bristol to go for a quick bite. My faves is the veggie strips and the juices are so refreshing.

Food was tasty however it would be good if the portion size could be larger to match the amount you pay.

Honestly some of the best food I've ever eaten, and at a really reasonable price too. We had the jerk tofu with spicy kale, the Jamaican curry, rice and peas, and some fried dumplings. Everything was cooked beautifully. We will definitely be visiting again. You'll be missing out if you don't give this place a go!

Probably the best vegan Jamaican food in Bristol! Portions are massive I can't always eat it all in one, tried nearly every main on menu by now and would say my faves are the chickpea curry, sweet and sour strips and the Jamaican curry chunks! I always get a rice with the main and some sides, all the sides are delicious and every portion size is generous. The juices are great as well especially love the ginger and pineapple! Can't wait to go back again.

Amazing tasty Jamaican food than is also vegan... What is not to love! The dumplings were large and crisp, rice and peas flavourful and cooked right, and the peppered strips left me full but wanting to try everything else on the menu. Homemade drinks, chill music, vibe, and people. Definitely would come back to Bristol just for this restaurant!

My only complaint would be that there wasn't much left on the menu when we were there, but what we did have was really good. Definately coming back!

Fantastic food! Cafe style service where ypu order at the till and grab a drink from the fridge. The staff were friendly, they don't hover around the tables so you need to get their attention if you want something, but very helpful. The food was phenomenal! There were three of us so we shared our dishes and I wanted all of them. Really rich beautiful flavours, generous portions and everything tasted really fresh. It was cooked beautifully and I'll definitely be back. I spent £19 for jerk tofu, spicy kale, callalloo (this is a must!), rice and peas and a jamaican drink. I highly recommend the chunk curry and the plantain too which was delicious.

I have eaten here many times now. This place is excellent. I have had the jerk tofu, the 'goat' curry, the dumplings, the banana bread... It was all delicious. Such a treat and a real asset for vegans (or anyone) in Bristol

Amazing!!! Delicious meal shared with friends post workout, so good, had plantain, dumplings and jerk tofu which was too good to put into words. Props for being an all vegan business too! One suggestion would be to update the online menu to match the deliveroo prices since they are a fair bit higher.

Excellent food great staff tbh I'd give it six stars if there was can't recommend it enough if you have eaten here you must for the quantity and quality it's far to cheap even there in house drinks are second to none I love meat and I didn't miss it one bit
