Dried out , overcooked rubbish. Served meat to my veggie companion which he accidentally ate as they covered it in gravy. I emailed a complaint and the manager asked me to describe the serving staff member so they could sack them. What the actual heck?! So unprofessional. Won't eat here again.

Surprisingly pleasant experience. Food was imaginative and of a good standard. Service warm and friendly. Price slightly higher but on balance value for money. Would go again.

Visited this evening. Really slow service, long wait between courses. Food was nice and staff were very friendly. Waited ages to pay after receiving the bill!

Wonderful pub! I've had a delicious steak with garlic butter sauce here as well as a lovely butternut squash risotto. Service is sometimes busy but always nice and friendly. They drag nights are amazingly fun too !

Our go to local and not just coz it's close. The atmosphere is always great at the weekends, the food is always delicious, the beer garden is fantastic for the long summer days and it's dog friendly which is a big draw for us. Staff always friendly and accommodating, and they have a really good selection of beers!

We were really excited for the roast from reviews, but sadly it didn't deliver. Dry meat (pork), food swimming in gravy, and potatoes not crunchy. Our highlight was the Yorkshire pudding. Balanced out by friendly staff and a nice place inside.

Wow. Just had Thursday night special - Steak and Ale pie with chips and a pint for £15. Delicious. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. Will definitely go back

The coq au vin pie was so delicious! And amazing with the pie and pint deal. Atmosphere is always so nice, a great mix of locals.

Really nice looking bar with a decent selection. There isn't designated parking so if you're not a local, you need to find street parking nearby but luckily there is plenty. Just had drinks when we visited but given 5 stars for food as it looked and smelt delicious when we saw tables nearby getting food. We visited on a Tuesday evening and it had a quiet, chill vibe with plenty of seating available

Overrated. Recommended this place by some friends for a roast. Pork loin was overcooked, dry, no crackling Roast potatoes hard, pretty disappointing for £18 pp

Food was average quality and came burnt. They changed the burnt buns and bad lettuce leaves, but for £16 you expect a little more and not to have to send the food back. Dogs sitting right next to us whilst we dined, not nice. Surprisingly, the place was packed at 17h and had to wait some time for a table to get available. Food arrived in timely manner.

This place is a gem. Great drinks, food and staff. The beer garden is a good size and the bar always has a lovely atmosphere. Cannot praise the roasts enough!

Nice pub for food & drinks ,but one thing like other pubs let it down is dogs, I was a dog owner so don't mind them but I think they should be in one part of the pub. Because not all people are dog lovers.

Went for Sunday lunch with partner, very surprised at the dinning room which is tucked away from the bar area. (Positive) Menu is limited, very disappointed with the vegetables. 1 small parsnip, 2 slices of carrot, and some curly kale. As for the roast potatoes, these were just like new/salad potatoes but roasted. Meat and Yorkshire pudding good. After service poor, as soon as we had finished the main, we were asked if we would like dessert. We replied not at the moment, but then we were given the bill even though we had not requested it. On 3 occasions, we were asked if we would like to settle up even though we were still finishing our drinks. On checking the bill, I noticed that we had been overcharged, which was quickly rectified.

Good selection of beer and wine .It was nice they had my favourite gluten-free non-alcohol lager clear head on tap . Pour a good Guinness, Service was good ,atmosphere nice and decor welcoming. I been told the food good but I yet to try it , on my to do list. Update from my last visit. Tonight, the atmosphere was as good as before a real buzz, and the drag act amazing , great beer and service as always Still yet to try the food .

Lovely big sunny garden which has recently been refurbished along with the pub. Drinks aren't cheap but it's a great choice.

Really lovely roast dinner, the pub is beautifully designed with a city center feel. The staff were absolutely lovely. My baby needed feeding as soon as our food arrived. The waitress Ellie offered to hold him and give him his bottle while we ate.it was such a kind gesture. We will definitely be back!

Just got home from having the most delightful Sunday lunch so so tasty pprk so tender and the Yorkshire pudding was so crispy and light will definitely be going again te staff were very friendly and service quick

Meet up and food with four friends, food was top quality with friendly and helpful staff. They had ‘Clear Head’ ipa/lager on tap which was so great to see. Modern, Clean , Fresh surroundings. Absolutely fab

Been here a few times recently, and will be again soon. It is truly my local pub of choice now. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Great roasts on Sundays too!

We hired a room for a private function. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet food was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Two of us went for dinner on a Friday night a few weeks ago (mid April 2024) and sat in the dining room at the back. Really nice atmosphere and food was good quality gadtro food, great value and good beer to boot. Service was mostly good but unfortunately one of the servers kept asking us if we were finished (e.g. when her colleague had just brought us a new round of drinks) and eventually brought us the bill anyway explaining the kitchen was closing (which is fine, we just didn't know we needed to settle up before 9/9.30pm) and continued to bustle about, irritated, I assume she just wanted to get home. It would be great if either diners were warned about this policy or another way of managing outstanding bills could be organised so diners don't feel like they're inconveniencing staff? We will still revisit but thought worth mentioning assuming management will read this. Thanks.

Double celebration gathering for large party of cousins ! Warm and friendly greeting , excellent atmosphere , lovely food,v and service was top - notch ! Historically , this pub was a favourite location for many of our families , going back to 2nd World War era . We all felt a real " connection " with this building !! Thankyou !!

Such a wonderful pub. The staff make you feel so welcome, beer and wine selection is top and the food is locally sourced and tasty. We will be very sad to move away from such a banging local, it's a rare find. Dog and toddler friendly too!

We enjoyed an outstanding Sunday lunch sat by the fire, then stayed the remainder of the evening enjoying a live cabaret show in the rear function room. A perfect end to a busy week was had and highly recommended.

I moved to the area just over a year ago... And the local pubs were a little bit unwelcoming so I was stuck with a 20 minute walk to either Redfield or the Lyons Den in Kingswood... However in June the rose and crown opened and what a great little spot it is... Great beer garden in the summer and a snug with a wood burner for those cold winter evenings... Beer is well kept and the staff are welcoming... Food is perfect for a local pub... Not pretentious but nice enough to make it worth while...

Regularly attend for Sunday lunch as we love it so much! Staff are brilliant special shout out to waitress Ellie, gutted as we found out she is leaving as she has always been so fantastic to us and made us feel like valued customers.

Very lively pub. My second visit, well kept beer, reasonably priced beer. Staff very friendly. Haven't tried the food yet but will be booking Sunday lunch very soon.

First visit last night will definitely be returning. Staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was lovely, be warned they do not skimp on portion size! I had a few small plates and especially liked the patatas bravas and the halloumi fries. Would advise booking a table as at 6.30 on a Saturday night they were already very busy. Really good atmosphere aswell.

Had our Christmas works party here! It was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Catered for over 30 of us along with dietary requirements with no issues. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere, great food. The restaurant area is good for families including older folk as no loud music blaring . Pricing is reasonable too.

The food was fabulous and the bar staff were friendly. Nice and clean with quite a bit of space. Even had board games on the shelves that you could play

The second that you walk into the Rose and Crown you know that you are in somewhere special. The decor is bright and tasteful but the real star is the restaurant at the back! A place where the owners and staff care about your experience- a truly vanguard business for Kingswood. Delicious home cooked food in lovely, clean surroundings. The offer is also very good value for money with a wide range of well kept draught beers and a great wine-list. If you're local, be sure to support it, if you are from further afield this is a geat destination for a business lunch or family dinner. They have an interesting and varied set of events with a wine dinner every couple of months.

First time. Tastefully decorated. Felt like a high end pub. Lots of choice of drinks, spirits especially. Liked the snug area. Lovely long comfy sofas. Strange that there was no mirror in the toilet? Never come across that before. The pub offers themed nights which we might return to try out.

Visited the pub a few times. Really nice atmosphere, very clean inside. They have a big garden, which is great in the summer. We had a burger the other day and it was ok but I did love halloumi fries.

Went for Sunday lunch (although nobody in the party had roast meat so can't comment on that) but the vegan Wellington, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and veggies were all great. Kids enjoyed their meals too. Decent beers on tap, reasonable prices, good service. Won't hesitate to visit again.

What a massive difference! someone with a little effort can turn a rock into a diamond. This pub it light and bright now, good outside space. Lovely food and drink selection and have great nights planned like a mo they drag act. All are welcome. Nothing like the place it was before. Bravo!!!
