St Nicholas Market is the traditional Marketing Hub of Bristol. Commonly known as St Nicks, The market is situated in the centre of Bristol. Its market buildings are home to the largest collection of independent retailers in Bristol. Divided into three sections; the Glass Arcade, Covered Market and the Exchange. The market is full of unique items. The buildings and streets nearby host a range of other markets including a weekly farmers market. It is filled with shops and food stalls. The market is a rabbit warren of fun things to look at and a great place to buy souvenirs.

St. Nicholas Market is undoubtedly one of Bristol's highlights for its historic character and architecture. Strolling the surrounding cobblestone streets and enjoying the variety of products is an experience that many residents and visitors appreciate. However, there are certain aspects that could be improved to enhance its appeal. One of the points that draws attention is the cleanliness of the market. In some areas, you can notice that hygiene is not up to what one would expect in such a busy place. The presence of garbage or dirt can affect the general perception of the environment and detract from its value. An extra effort in daily maintenance could make a big difference. In addition, empty premises are a sign of a lack of activity that could be worrying. Occupying these spaces would not only contribute to a more vibrant environment, but could also offer visitors a greater variety of options to explore and enjoy. Perhaps initiatives to encourage new entrepreneurs or artisans to establish themselves in the market could help revitalize these areas. As for the decoration, it is true that it seems to lack regulation or a cohesive approach. A more planned and harmonious decoration would not only beautify the space, but could also reinforce the market's identity as an attractive destination for tourists and locals. Creating a theme or style that reflects local culture could make the market feel more welcoming and organized.

Pleasant surprise on a Saturday tourist walk about. Nice selection of stalls, from vintage and second hand clothes to craftwork to antique stuff like books and prints. Found a stall with witty lapel pins and bags. The prices are fair. Even though it looks and feels posh: the stall hosts are super friendly and up for a chat regardless of whether you buy or just browse.

This Victorian covered market showcases a vibrant array of independent traders. Visitors can browse stalls filled with allsorts, from unique clothing to exquisite jewelery, and intriguing curios that make great gifts. There's even an old-fashioned sweet shop that adds a nostalgic touch, and for those that want something more substantial, the bustling daytime food hall offers a tempting selection of hot lunch options from over a dozen vendors. St Nicholas' Market and The Corn Exchange kinda blend into one, although the former is mostly food and the latter mostly arts, crafts, jewellery and such like. I went on a Friday lunch time and it was so busy! So many different stalls and booths selling everything from Syrian to Himalayan to Victoria Sponge. Many places had no seating (or what little they had was already full). Cool place to wander, explore and eat though.
