Went there for breakfast, but unfortunately they don't serve hot food. Good coffee though and great location.

This is a very unique cafe but also amazingly spacious inside. Went in here because of the quirkiness and was not disappointed with my choice of cake. Very clean and good service

Amazing. An old public toilet now a coffee shop! Very quirky. Friendly staff serving . You just have to see it for yourselves. So unusual to be sitting having coffee where the urinals used to be!

Me and two of my friends enjoyed having some delicious homemade cakes, freshly made juices, specialty coffee and some pastries.

I had an espresso takeaway and it was delicious 👌🏽

Sensacional, era un antiguo baño público, cuenta con wifi, de 2 plantas la de abajo tiene mesas altas y para pedir, no tiene opciones sin gluten, sirve solo tartas (deliciosa la de zanahoria) y un café excepcional, en la planta de arriba estan los baños que en su día eran los de las mujeres y cuenta con un apartado con mesa con una ventana a la calle donde se está muy agusto. Muy recomendable para ir en pareja o grupo pequeño de amigos, máximo 4

Relaxed, calm interesting building

Decent coffee, hot chocolate and tray bakes. Service could have been a bit friendlier. Nice historical aspect to the building. Our dog was allowed to sit in which was nice.

For a former public toilet it’s anything but. I enjoyed the nice atmosphere, and great coffee. The girl behind the till was quick and helpful. Would definitely go again.

Excellent cafe with an awesome interior. Ordered a latte and a breakfast tea to drink in. Both tasted great! The latte was nice and creamy and for the tea they used a big infusion bag. Great service too.

Converted public toilet! Worth a visit for that alone. Make sure to look upstairs. Good coffee.

The 2 stars only for the building if you like gimmicks ( toilet transform to cafe or retro feel). 1. Cold, unfriendly girl, seems like I disturb her reading. When I say hello, no response and I feel odd to order. Of course, she would not say thank you. 2. There’s no price on the menu? 3. £3.50 normal price for cappuccino in city centre, however my coffee is blend, tasteless. I asked for cinnamon powder, but this is the first time I got the coffee full layer of cinnamon in my whole life, it’s bitter and you can’t see any coffee art. Based on the quality and taste, it not worth to. 4. It’s lovely to see picture if you sit outside. The fact that it is only a very narrow path, face to conjunction of the road , noisy, polluted air…… Anyway, no return. There’s a lot of nice cafe and coffee kiosks around Bristol city centre.

Nice little coffee shop made out of a former public toilet. Has little side rooms as well as an outside. Nice coffee. Dog friendly.

Have visited the cloakrooms cafe many times and always enjoyed the atmosphere in there, the lady working provided great service and a great coffee would highly recommend.

I came in to the cloakroom cafe last week and had a lovely time, it’s great for stopping over between Gloucester Road area and Clifton if you’re a tourist. The girl in there was polite and welcoming, the drinks were nice and a fair value for money. I recommend the hot chocolates!

A unique space with a calm and relaxing (but not too relaxing, given the context!) atmosphere. Love the sympathetic heritage restoration. Good coffee too!

I’ve been a regular here for a while now, and I am in love with this cafe. The staff have been so welcoming and accommodating the year i’ve been coming here. Coffee is consistent and hit the spot, music and the decor are something else. 10/10

Great coffee, lovely ambience and the nicest staff!

I wanted to visit this place for a while as I remember it when it was actually public toilets. I read the reviews and thought it sounded well worth a go. The experience of visiting something as a cafe that you remember as public toilets was interesting and well worth it. However, I was disappointed with the selection of food. Firstly only full fat milk to go with tea, so I drank it black. The only savoury vegetarian option was one vegetable tart, which was heated up in a microwave, thereby making the pastry soggy. I didn't rate the banana/peanut butter/honey/turmeric/almond milk milk shake either, although it was called a smoothie. I had thought smoothies were thicker than the one I experienced, which was more like a milk shake. Food and drink leave a lot to be desired. Way too expensive as well. One member of staff, who was nice and friendly, and a valuable experience re visiting an old building. I doubt very much I will return.

A lovely little place (that used to be a toilet 🫢🤭 shhhhhhh). Very quiet, we were the only customers, but a great friendly person served us great coffee & moist, fresh, delicious cake.

The young girl serving was super lovely!!! Taste of coffee was great and the overall atmosphere is really bubbly will definitely be coming back !!

Cold, unfriendly service from the girl at the counter as soon as I entered and throughout, she was busy chatting to the young clientele she had a personal relationship with outside of work, very unprofessional. No pricelist on the drinks board, I settled on an apple, cucumber celery and lemon juice for 4.25. The cucumber was brown on the inside, she didn't bother washing it, I tasted no apple or celery, plenty of sour lemon zest though :( Very disappointing for such an interesting building, AVOID AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ENERGY.

Love this cafe - the coffee and cakes always taste good, plus the building inside is quirky. I sometimes come here on a Sunday when all the over coffee shops are rammed on nearby Park Street. Always found the staff to be friendly too - highly recommend 👌🏻

Very nice café usually, but today, I found the girl serving to be quite unfriendly. I said 'thank you, cheers' at the end after I made sure I had already paid and she didn't even respond. This is a shame, as usually it's a lovely café with great service, but after this, I will think twice about coming back. There's a lovely Greek café just down the road.

chai latte here is god sent and heavenly. yum. plus they have sockets. plus its 2 minutes from wills, MVB and fry. who needs a so*rce cafe coffee water when u can have delicious chai and coffee and cake here?

A gem of a cafe in an old Victorian public convenience. It is quite quirky with tables made from washbasins and wood panelled walls. Two of the toilets have been left for customer use and have the old chain flush. The coffee is excellent and there is a selection of cakes and sandwiches, including vegetarian. There is WiFi and lots of little nooks if you're looking for a quiet space to use a laptop.

Excellent coffee, tasty cakes, Great atmosohere and lovely lady running it! PS got coffee beans for home they also great quality. Highly recommended!

Had driven passed this little place a few times and always wanted to stop and take a look. I had the chance to do so earlier today and was really impressed with the coffee quality, which was perfectly smooth and I would place in the top 5 places I've tried in Bristol. The decor inside is wonderfully unique and I loved the relaxed atmosphere of this place. A real hidden little gem! I can't wait to go back again. Thank you.

Lovely and quaint little cafe. Great choice of hot drinks and cakes, all at good prices. Plenty of places to sit considering the size of the establishment. The cake I chose however isn't the best I have tasted, and the drink was good but had better. But all in all I would return if in the area.

Top 3 in Bristol. This coffee shop has the best atmosphere and character in all of Bristol. Such lovely drinks served with an exceptional aestheic. This converted school cloakroom is a fantastic, must try coffee experience. Upstairs seating is always busy but when there's space it adds so much charm.

The Cloakroom is a wonderful little independent cafe with very welcoming staff and delicious coffee. I often come here to work for the morning as the atmosphere is perfect - beautiful aesthetic, small but spacious, and lovely and quiet with a gentle backdrop of folk music. The cakes are excellent too : )

Phenomenal coffee shop in an extraordinary space - our favorite in Bristol. Consistently great coffee, pleasant staff, and a wide array of yummy pastries. Worth seeking out.

The place is looking great, however my experience wasn’t great. The girl who was at the till was very flat and serious as if she disliked me ~ it made me feel uncomfortable ordering. The berry smoothie was delicious but really really small for 3,95 (check photo).

The building and inside decoration is really nice, but it could be great to have some information on a wall with the story behind of the building (sorry if I missed that somewhere!). My cortado was pretty bitter + without pleasure texture. My partner's latte was just alright. Nothing above average.

It was a bitterly cold day and I was struggling walking home after a hospital appointment. I needed a hot drink and a sit down. Very kind young man found me a Covid safe seat and served me a lovely double-shot cappuccino. doublr

Got latte and flat white which were both really lovely! The staff member was so kind and gave us the history of the toilet to cafe conversion story which was really fascinating. He also gave us suggestions on cakes and we got the cheese cake and the home made almond and plum cake that was really lovely too. He also described the coffee beans to us and knew the profile very well including the decaffeinated options :)! Would love to come back again and try more other coffee options as well :)

This is such a georgous little building and it's been brilliantly reimagined as a coffee shop. We only had a tea and coffee but my husband (who is a proper coffee fan) said it was one of the best coffees he has had.

Beautiful cafe with wonderful food and drinks to be enjoyed in a unique and aesthetic environment. Would highly recommend visiting for breakfast.
