Great place for a coffee and a toastie

I am editing my review to reflect to reflect my latest experience here. I leave below my previous review, in which I gave the place 5 stars. I have re-visited Little Victories and it was very unlike what I found a year ago. The coffee was mediocre at best, and the cake they had was stale. The last time I came here, the coffee I had was one of the best I had ever tried, so it's a real shame to see the decline in quality. One thing, however, has stayed the same: The staff here is rude. They aren't friendly, they mumble, and they rush you to make a decision. They seem to lack any knowledge at all about the shop they're running, because they were not able to answer any questions about the coffee options they had. Most specialty coffee shops are staffed by people that like coffee and like talking about it, but Little Victories is run more akin a Costa: place your order and leave with as few questions as possible. The service I've received has put me off returning anytime soon. ----- Previous review below I visited this coffee shop recently and I had what I think is the best coffee I've ever tried. The have a house espresso, which is a more traditional espresso blend, but also a guest coffee, which changes occasionally. I had the guest coffee and it was so sweet, it was more like a cup of grape juice than coffee! It was unbelievably good, unlike any other coffee I've ever tried! I strongly recommend you try it if you like coffee. As for the rest, the space is nice. There are only a few tables, but they are well spaced out and the interior is well lit. They have some good cakes, although the portion sizes are small. The staff weren't very friendly and seemed like they were rushing customers to make decisions.

Terrible coffee, terrible service. No pride in making the coffee. And the lady making the coffee was miserable as sin. Such a shame.

Lovely place and very nice coffee, probably the best I've had around the harbour. I somehow managed to avoid making eye contact with the cakes and pastries, but looking at pictures from other reviews, next time I visit I certainly won't be.

Really nice place with minimalist decor. The staff are so kind and helpful! The only issue is that the soft drinks are a bit expensive- £2.80 for a can.

A must stop spot on spike island and the jewel of Wapping wharf

Delicious coffee (I had a classy cortado) and toasted banana bread with chocolate chips, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and I really like the design and feel of the cafe. I'll be visiting again soon.

Delightful coffee and cake but furniture did not encourage cosy sitting and reflecting

lovely scrummy cakes. its like a dog show pon arrival. i actually saw a shiba mixed with a corgi! that made my day. also eva serves with a smile. my weekend has been made. it was a nice visit after an evening session of watching twilight new moon.

I am on a mission at the moment as I am finding more and more, that good customer service provided by people with a smiley face and a cheerful disposition is sadly lacking in Bristol and other Cities cafe's and restaurants at the moment and it needs to be called out. I used to love this place and prior to the pandemic, it was staffed by really friendly people. Now, you would struggle to get a smile from any of the staff here. I am afraid most times, it is usually the younger generation who have a limited grasp of how to provide a welcoming, friendly customer service. The lack of training, not wanting to be there, and probaly more comfortable on social media than engaging with a human being appears to be the obvious issues in my view. Moreover, on the last two occasions, you are waiting a significant amount of time for your coffee. My advice, walk 50 metres and go to New Cut Coffee, friendly service, coffee is great and a pleasure to go in there. Little Victories......What a shame..... I used to like it here, I won't be back.

The atmosphere is good, high ceiling indoor seat, outdoor seat with Wapping wharf harbour view. Wide variety food and drinks for your selection. Welcome and warm service. The coffee is nice but to be honest, it is not up to the professional artisans level. But it is better then almost cafe in Bristol.

One of my go-to coffee spots in Bristol. Always great service and great coffee.

Nice spot to sit and relax. Coffees were nice and I enjoyed the bacon sandwich though it was maybe a bit dry.

What a lovely place, super friendly, coffee was amazing!! Great place to sit for a while. We tried sourdough bacon toast & a millionaire shortcake which were both delicious. Give this place a visit!

I was there earlier today and everything about it was perfect: The food tasted amazing (Drinks too), service was quick and the whole shop was extremely clean alongside the toilets. Even the design of the building was good looking. It was also almost 30 Degrees outside and the building was well air conditioned so we barely felt it.

Great coffee shop with a good selection of coffees, teas and food. Location is good as well. Being right next to the water front and cargo there is plenty to see and do. Well worth a visit.

Best coffee shop in Wapping Wharf

Had a lovely visit to little victories, which serve fantastic coffee, with the choice of a lovely house espresso, with a rotating guest which is perfect for coffee fanatics. On my visit they had 2 choices for filter coffee, which is always great to see, as not enough coffee shops have filter/batch brew options. The man who served us was very friendly and had a short chat with us which was nice! The cinnamon slice we had was delicious and we were offered another slice (which wasn't good enough quality to be sold) on the house, which was a win for us and the planet!

Stopped for a light bite after cycling in from Nailsea towing my 3-year old in a trailer. Service was just what I like to see: polite and cheery with a sense of humour! Coffee: They are using Clifton Coffee Roasters at the moment and are clearly well practised at producing a great result. Food: Cheese and chutney toasty - good size, well executed and very tasty. Cakes: OMG - cakes!!! I burn a lot of calories towing my son around so please excuse my enthusiasm... The banana bread - scrumptious. The Lemon and pistachio slice - nice and light. The pecan pie - delectable. But the salted caramel brownie... best I've ever had - so soft and moist. Would have scored a six if it had a little double cream to temper the sweetness! All in all, a real gem if you are looking for something light and very decent pricing too. Keep up the great work guys - wish I'd left a bigger tip - you deserve it!

This is a great little cafe. The coffee & toasted sandwiches are really good. It’s in a good location & it can get busy.

Very nice place for both coffee and beer. Once a staff member told me I wasn’t allowed to put oat milk in my cold brew which I found weird. I get that it had to do with the tasting notes, but I also know how I like my coffee. I ended up having to get oat milk on the side and put it in myself, the whole exchange was quite strange. But it was good coffee!

Nice atmosphere. Limited range of toasted sandwiches and cakes. Reasonable range of teas. Not a place to work from - very limited power sockets and no wifi, so it seems they would prefer you take your laptop somewhere else. Signal is poor on O2.

Chilled out little place, fantastic, friendly service and great coffee. Nice selection of cakes and pastries (locally made) but my personal favourite is the toasted banana bread which comes with oodles of melted butter. Delicious!

It was just the best coffee I have had for a while, and fabulously located close to the city centre. Nice, modern, and chic. The place to be, and be seen.

Very good coffee with lots of flavour. Dogs are welcome. Great bacon sandwiches too 😋. There are seats inside and outside as well as lavatories. There are power sockets under some of the seats so you can use your laptop. The staff are friendly and it has a good relaxing atmosphere - especially if you like dogs.

This was my second visit to Little Victories and while I didn't get any food this time I have previously, as well as beans to take home, both were excellent. My coffee (flat white) this time was just as good as my first visit and if you are lucky enough to be local to Little Victories, enjoy it. A wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable little coffee shop offering a good range of drinks.

Great coffee nice Pain-au-chocolat....

Good hot drinks. Food selection is very limited. Clearly not suitable if you wish to work there. No wifi and only two power sockets available for customers.

What an adorable coffee shop. The only problem I had was being too short... I couldn't reach the table my giant sized brother in law chose! Really had to hike on up there. Lol, I have given it 5 stars because that's what it deserved. I had a chai latte with coconut milk -YUM. Then toasted banana bread with vegan spread! Even more YUM. Such s queer friendly place too, me and my girlfriend will be coming back again!! Big love guys, keep brewing your amazing coffee.

Intimate, yet warm and welcoming with lovely, lovely handmade coffees. Modern decour, water tap for easy refills, clean toilet. Pretty expensive, but a nice place for a date.

Friendly and attentive staff which they have taken care to listen to what I actually wanted. The place it was buzzing with families and group of friends. I have enjoyed my cheese and ham toastied and coffee. There are plenty seating areas inside and outside.

Lovely little place. Popped in with friends for a drink and cake. The most delicious cinnamon cake and lemonade. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great place to stop off and sit outside.

We only had a couple of coffees here, but the food did look very good and if We’d have wanted a sandwich we’d definitely have eaten lunch here also the cakes looked good. This area is certainly up and coming

What delicious coffee and the vegan member of our party was delighted with the Vegan options. Very yummy. Impressed by the help yourself free water as well.

Waited for 15minutes for a latte for take away no coffee art just poured it in seem to prioritize the people sitting inside I guess they pay more! I think something as basic as a design for your 3.00 small coffee should be a thing! Better coffee places in the city won't be going back.

Fantastic coffee with a few basic pastries. Great for a takeaway drink. Avoid the queues at peak times (weekend late morning/lunch) if you don’t like waiting..

Came across this place after finding the place we used to go, Brunel Buttery, has changed their menu. We had a DELICIOUS toasted bacon sandwich made with lovely sourdough bread and thick tasty bacon. Nice cheery people and clean tidy seating.

I'm sorry to say that it did not live up to its expectations. Coffee tasted OK but no attempt at latte art made by the barista - I watched him steam the milk before just tipping into each cup. At £6 for two oat milk flat whites in what presented itself as a speciality coffee shop, not what I would expect. Disappointing as there are numerous pictures both here and on their Instagram of well-presented coffees. Nothing special and premium price (especially outside of London!) for poor service, in our case.

Today I happened to stop here for a quick coffee - a flat white, whilst cycling around the Harbourside. I did comment that £2:80 for a small flat white was expensive but it was explained that their aim was quality rather than quantity. Having drank the coffee I am now more than happy to agree, the coffee was very good indeed, one of the best I’ve ever had! Don’t be put off by the prices, it’s the quality that counts - and is delivered 😁.

Quick and delicious coffee. Love that they have a window to order from instead of having to go inside.
