Food was good but some of the portion were small

We oerdered spicy wada pav,momos and dabeli. Taste was awsome, i recomended person who loves to eat spicy food

The food was unexpected the staff is not supportive the food is not expected I ordered Ragda Patties so dry i would never suggest to try anyone not worth the money

Oh my goodness. I’d been told the food and vibe was great, and holy moly I was in for a delicious surprise! I ordered takeaway of the Schezwan Vada Pav and Dhabeli. I wasn’t going to eat it all because it felt like a lot but I just couldn’t resist! 😄 Totally in love. Will be back for a sit down meal because the music, decor and staff are right up my street. Authentic Maharashtrian taste. All the food we have ordered was very tasty. Vada pan, misal pav, thali as per Maharashtra taste buds. Highly recommended for those who are truly looking for good taste. "Maharashtra cha maan rakhla rao tumhi"

If you want to try real Indian desi food in the UK, this is right place for you. Must try vada pav, momos, aloo tikki chaat, chicken Tikka. I must say that everyone must try this without any doubt. Staff is also amazing. Will come back for sure.

Such wonderful and delicious food, they covered almost every state food from north to south, West to east.

It was great eating pani puri here, the place is nice with full Indian vibes because of Bollywood/cricket theme painted walls. The panipuris were tasty will try other things soon.

Not very often one gets to taste the authentic Indian food in UK which is value for money. After Crispy Dosa Bristol, we're so glad to have found another in Thikanaa. As mentioned in other reviews, their staff has left no stone unturned to cater Indian street food the way it should be. In particular, their vada pav can't be missed on any visit to this restaurant. The veg hakka noodles were delicious as well. Looking forward to try other items from their menu on our subsequent visits. Seriously hoping they maintain the standards they've set out so far.

To be honest i placed my order on uber eats when they are available but after 1.5 hour of long wait i got my food in that time i can fly to Europe and come back guys very poor time management please do something about it..

The most amazing Indian cafe in Bristol. Has the best Vada Pav and Chai. Absolutely heartwarming food. Don't forget to try the Aloo tikki chat also cause it just made my day. But the highlight for me was the Dal Makhani and the Butter Garlic Naan. My god is it sensational. I felt like I was back in India. Best hangout spot with your friends and family. They even play Indian and Punjabi music and the decor adds up to a classic desi dhaaba ambience.

Recently ordered chilli chicken and asked for it to come with a little gravy (proper Indo Chinese style) as was really keen to have this. I was really disappointed it did not come with any gravy inspite of specifically asking for it. Portion was really tiny and was served with some lettuce which was completely unnecessary.

Wherever I eat here I feel like I'm in India. I love painting and atmosphere. Food price is affordable as well as the test is delicious. I just don't like the order and pay system, it does not feel like a restaurant, I feel like I'm at street area.

One of Most Authentic Indian food I ever tasted in the England in last 18 years. Not only taste is authentic but Quantity is generous & price is reasonable. Thikanna Bristol is just simply wow. Finally found a restaurant which serves authentic Indian food, generous quantity, super yummy food and service is world class. We can’t wait to be back to try more dishes.

Ive been here few times and its always been an amazing experience. Really good food and atmosphere 👌.

If I could give minus stars I would. We paid £8.50 for three pieces of chicken. Myself and my partner paid for two of these which came to £17 in total. It came with one portion of salad which consisted of one tomato, a sliced bit of cucumber and one pot of sauce between us. The biriyani had barely any chicken in also which was disappointing. Don't bother ordering from here as it is a complete waste of money in regards to the portion sizes. Absolutely disgusting. Here I am making myself dinner because I am incredibly hungry after my three pieces of chicken.

Just had a cup of Indian tea with my friends but it didn't taste good (was sweet )

They have a Large selection of Vegetarian options. Mahaarashra and North Indian themed restaurant. Good seating capacity and courteous service. We had veg grilled sandwiches, Hakka noodles, Samosa Chat , Misal Paav and tea. All items are definitely worth a try Will definitely visit again to try other items on the menu. 2nd Visit - had Thali and Kulicha- Chole, both were really good. Only Gobi Manchurian was not up to the mark. It was more of raw Gobi sauteed with some spices and onions.

Friendly, casual dining with a range of Indian snacks and light meals, plus some Thai dishes. The food is simple and tasty, including dishes suitable for people unfamiliar with Indian food. A very nice place for a quick snack or an informal meal.

Every thing was nice and testy service also very good but I am not going to visit agin because all Heroes and Heroines pictures are there but missing Maheshbabu and Rasmika mandana That’s why I am not visiting again

The overall experience was good. The ambience was nice 👍, a friendly customer experience by the staff.

Really lovely atmosphere, bright, with nice pictures on the walls and good music. We really loved the mango lassi and especially the Pani Puri - it was all delicious and very authentic. Our server, Raj, was excellent, and even told us how to eat the Pani Puri!

Incredible and delicious food. Last night we visited the place a little late to celebrate one of my friends' birthday around 9:15 PM. The staff didn't hesitate or pushed us to order food fast and didn't felt us that restaurant was getting closed by 10. We enjoyed it till 10:30 PM even later.Cheers to them. The food at this place is really great. The vada pav schejwan vada pav truly freshened my memory of Mumbai vada pav.The gobi manchury, veg manchury, veg noodles, and especially makhani Dal was wonderful. I can say the taste is one of the best in the area.

Great street Indian food restaurant. So many choices on their menu at such affordable prices. loved their Vada pav and their pani puri. The one thing I wish they have on their menu is Dosas.

I feel so glad to have discovered this Indian restaurant. Its authentic to the point that l will never go to any other Indian restaurant in Bristol. I tried Chole Kulche and I was bowled over. Fantastic meal out at Thikanaa last night. The food was utterly exceptional! Couldn't fault it! Proper street food at reasonable prices rather than trendy inflated prices. 5 star, when they offer at the price, probably no one in Bristol can offer. When Asians looking to wake up their sleeping taste buds , this is where you should venture. From momos to Mumbai street food, they have it all covered.

We saw this new restaurant open recently and had to try it because of the reviews and it didn't disappoint! Food was incredible, portions were good and every single dish tasted completely different. Hopefully this is the start of more restaurants to come on Southmead Road!

It's the best desi/Indian street food restaurant in Bristol. Before thikana, there were so many things that we craved but had to travel to London or Birmingham for them. I haven't tried all of the items on your menu but I surely intend to do so one one by. All the items that I have tried so far are just amazing. Vada pao at £2 is such an amazing deal and taste is 100 percent authentic. My other favourites are ragda patees, misal Pao and Haka noodles. Must must must visit. It's such a huge value for money.

Update- The taste is not consistent at all.The taste of misal or vada pav varied since i tried the first time. It was a great treat. The taste was same as we get back home in india. I tried misal pav, vada pav and papdi chat. The quantity was also good of one misal pav enough for two people.Overall Assal marathi taste.

Visited the restaurant twice and delicious food every time. The Pani Puri is absolutely authentic and delicious. The chole bhature were delicious. Rajma chawal absolutely amazing. Raja has been very courteous and welcoming. 100% recommend to visit.

I have no words to express my experience which I have had in this place. If I talk about food of this restaurant that is amazing, even charts, samosas and paneer vegetable is my favourite. All and all I want to say my overall experience was wonderful which I ever had in my life.

I love the food here and we try and come as often as we’re able to. I have been in the Indian food industry for many years and I can say this is one of the best I’ve had. What make this place even better than others is that the charge a reasonable price for food and not try to rip you off. I would suggest that the music is turned down a touch as the place is small and lots of atmosphere is created by other diners. Otherwise top notch.

Came with a group of friends to try a new to us local restaurant. We tried a range of starters and mains, and they didn’t disappoint! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will be back again! No photos this time because we enjoyed it so much!

Worse customer service experience. They are not good in treating the customer. Waited for more than 45 minutes for a food. They told the food is not ready, but they served the food for the customers after me. I’ve raised the complaint.Really feel bad 😞 I never had an experience like this. Need to improve Thikanaa team.

Love hakka / Indo-Chinese food so was really looking to trying out Thikanaa, and it didn't disappoint. Every dish we had was a taste sensation, made even better by the green chilli chutneys! Can recommend the Chilli Chicken, Chilli Paneer, Veg Noodles, and Gobi Manchurian from the Hakka menu, and Aloo Tikka Chaat, Butter Tikka Massala, and Lamb Rogan Josh from the rest of the menu. Unfortunately had to deduct a star as the service was a little slow due to being busy with both restaurant and delivery customers however, the staff there were really friendly and I'm sure that with another pair of hands for busier times that would be easily fixed. The only other improvement I can suggest for the future is to increase the Hakka options to dishes like Kung Pao Potato, Thai Pai Paneer / Chicken, Garlic Chilli Chicken, Pepper Chilli Paneer, and Burnt Ginger Rice. Hakka food is so hard to come by it's so good to see somewhere that's doing it, and so far doing it right! Keep it up!

I came here thinking of it as a restaurant, so I found it quite strange when I was asked to pay for the starters upfront rather than at the end, after I had ordered my mains and dessert which is how restaurants usually operate. And when you forget to order 1 item, be prepared to swipe that card again for a couple quid! If you are as random as me, you will end up walking to that till and swipe that card 4 to 5 times. Inefficient and unnecessary distraction, in my view, from spending a nice evening out with friends. The food was good. Everything we ordered was nice. The service was fairly quick too. So quick, that the gentleman on the till was a bit too keen on clearing our table while we were eating. Food was good. Service could be better.

We turned up on a Thursday evening and were seated quickly. We were a bit excited about all the dishes they offered and ended up ordering too much food! The food was amazing and they gave us some takeaway containers so we could take the rest of it home.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is amazing and the owners/staff are absolutely lovely.We didn't know what to order so asked the lovely man there to recommend some dishes and it was all a taste sensation. The prices are good and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Would highly recommend, can't wait to go back.
