Lovely boozer located right next to a Banksy painting (flower in mousetrap or it could be called rat trap not sure) served me some lovely ale and it was my first pub on my first visit to Bristol which was a great first impression.. the music set a lovely tone and the decor was great too. Would definitely recommend and return

Unfortunate as it was shut when we visited. However wanted to see it as my great, great grandparents, then great grandfather owned it in the 1880,s when it was the Maison,s arms. George and Margaret Rudman, then George Rudman junior. i do know George senior, a maison was declared bank crupted then his wife Margaret took on the tenancy and after their son George, a carver, guilder before he moved to the London area.

Went to the quiz tonight (Monday) with my wife and daughter, really enjoyed it, doesn't serve food but let's you order in ,lovely pub

This pub shares a wall with my husband’s childhood home, so it’s always a nostalgic stop on the tour when we come to Bristol to visit family. Really love what they’ve done with the place, lots of good decorations and a fun vibe.

Great pub, visited this place to see the sea shanty band had a great atmosphere and the pub was really packed out, but the staff handled it well 👍 only down side is with all those people in there it got extremely hot 🔥

Was a decent pub with a good beer and cider selection also had a good atmosphere ... Down sides I have was it was so hot even for a cold night proper Betty swallocks and the toilets were pretty manky!!!

Pub on Kingsdown with the nicest selection of beers (craft and traditional) and chilled out, open and airy feel. Has really kicked on with the new landlord, with great, occasional live music.

such a delightful pub! the interior is very welcoming and there’s something interesting to look at in every corner. really reasonably priced (£3.30 for a pint of Bullion ale) and great location.

I highly recommend visiting this place, I have never been disappointed. Always with changing local craft beers, good music and amazing vibes and they're roast dinners are to die for, I highly recommend getting one if your near by! (Trust me they have the best roast this side of Bristol) When I leave reviews they're normally because I'm upset at a service however after visiting this amazing space over the last few years I can honestly say if you haven't visited before, your missing out! Great Pub, Great Staff, Great owners, Affordable prices and a all round great space to visit when in Kingsdown and stokes croft.

Staff whenever I visit are friendly and welcoming. Has a great selection of international/ local beers on tap and in the fridges.

Lovely Bristol pub with a relaxed atmosphere. We came here for Sunday roast and booked on the day which was v convenient! I would happily come again - I only docked a star because the veggie wellington was a bit cold but still tasted good 👍

What a gorgeous pub! We were visiting Bristol for 2 days and went here for a pub quiz. Brilliant evening and the barman was friendly and welcoming. Loved the decor and the whole atmosphere.

Went here for Sunday lunch it was lovely chicken dinner and pudding and a pint can't go wrong. Lovely atmosphere as well. This is one cool pub.

Its a pub no doubt! Very 'real ales and cider' place. The dj was playing northern soul on vinyls and I'm not gonna lie, I had a cracking evening. Will be back.

Came here for the sea shanty night. The pub it self is great. Nice selection of beer and music but once the sea shanty night started the pub became overcrowded to the point you couldn't join in with the shanties let alone order a drink so we decided to leave. We I'll be back to the pub just not for the sea shanty night as it feels too clostrophobic in such a small venue

An old-school pub up behind a huge tower block, this is a haven for young arty people with a taste for modern brews and eccentric music. We loved it.

The most revolting smelling pub toilets I have ever had the misfortune to visit in my life. What in the name of god is going on with that?! Why would you put your customers through that? The horror.

This was the first pub I went to in Bristol, it was well worth her walk. There’s a fabulous craft beer selection and the music was excellent. The only reason I’m taking a star away is because the pub was very cold.

Very nice pub, great atmosphere, great local beers and ales and imo one of the greatest ciders out There! Really friendly staff with a very warm welcoming attitude, would highly recommend, I haven't tried the food from kansei kitchen yet but if what I've already experienced is anything to go by it would also be a must. I shall try on my next visit.

The hare on the hill has been mine and my partners local for over a year. Great atmosphere selection of alcohol and customer service.
