One of the most endearing features of the Masons Arms is the trio of British bulldogs owned by the pub's proprietors. These lovable dogs meander through the pub and grounds in their own out-of-breath, leisurely way, adding a cozy and homely feel to the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there eating crisps (chips for you expats) and would recommend it for a casual and friendly outing. Note: parking is pretty much non existent!

It was one of the most amazing pubs we ever visited in England. The service is so good, the bartenders are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was absolutely incredible: we didn't expect DJ and karaoke night but we had it. The customers are also very nice and friendly. If we ever come back to Bristol, we will visit the Masons Arms again.

Nice small pub. Definitely a local pub, in the nest way possible - everyone seems to know everyone. Decently priced drinks as well as karaoke on offer, and a few dogs wandering around the place!

Only popped in for a pint whilst walking past. So glad I did. I met the resident bulldog "Eric". A couple of locals introduced themselves and praised the local pub and said how great it was. I intend to make this my local.

Came in on a Friday for a couple of pints with the Mrs. The beer garden in this place is amazing! It’s huge. Draught beers tasted nice and got to sit in the sun so it was a win win.

Last time I was in there the pint was excellent & I had a crusty cob with a thick wedge of cheddar & onion in it. Very comfortable & welcoming pub. Great staff & friendly locals.

My first visit to this pub and brought my walking group , dont know why I hadn't visited this place before , good meals , great atmosphere ,pleasent staff ,good decor on both bars and 3 friendly resident dogs , next time we are at snuff mills we will revisit this pub

Fantastic outside area and beer garden, nicely maintained and spacious - maybe one of the best in Bristol. Friendly staff. The slightly uninspiring selection of beers is the only thing that stops this place getting top marks.

Great on a sunny day to sit out in the large beer garden, they've obviously made a big effort here. Makes up for the very dated decoration inside. Shame about the caged parrot too. Good selection and prices at the bar though.

Wonderful pub! Stopped in by chance after walking round Snuff Mills a few weekends ago and it was a lovely place to pass the afternoon. Great ciders, friendly staff, loved the terrace out back.

Lovely pub, small inside but has multicoloured tables and benches undercover outside too, and a separate indoor area called 'The Barn' which is cosy and chilled. Would definitely like to go there again.

Amazing pub tucked away in Stapleton. Driven past it loads of times and thought it was a standard boozer on the main road until I dropped in for a "killing an hour" pint one day..Its got the most amazing outside space. Covered terrace with lots of interesting antique signage leading to a large terraced garden area with a covered section. Good beer and good service

Only second time here, although my son and his girlfriend go quite often. Wasn't planning on eating but they are now doing food, which turned out to be very nice. Friendly locals, landlady, and landlord, too. Nice drop of real ale to wash it all down with. A very pleasant visit.

Edit: Reviewed when card machine was broken, they’ve fixed this and I’ve been back since it’s now one of the best pubs in the area. Come here for sure.

A proper, old-fashioned Country pub which is just what I like! My Partner and I enjoy sitting with Friends in the pub garden in the Summer with drinks and scampy fries crisps! I also like the resident Parrot :)

Proper Pub, good beer at very cheap prices, friendly staff and a parrot! The rolls were also very good. First visit but not the last.

I didn't like it. It was like every back street boozer in say Birmingham 40 years ago. But with TV, fruit machine and juke box, all of which I hate in a pub, plus they allow dogs. I gave it four stars, because if you like that sort of thing, it is excellent. It was crowded, so obviously many people do.

What a great find after a lovely walk through Stoke Park estate. Great beer and Cider selection for all tastes and good prices too. Lovely big beer garden full of summer colour and character, really friendly welcome from the staff and regulars. A proper decent boozer. Had the feel of a great country pub even though only 5 mins from City centre.

Haven't visited for over a year but always loved it and the locals were great. Sadly didn't go back because some of the staff were very rude and always miserable but since then I have heard great things about the pub. We will be back to enjoy this proper English pub and the jukebox. Recently popped in and had a great time with the locals and the music was great. Highly Recommend
