Two freshly cooked toasties (tuna and ham/cheese) - hot and delicious with two lovely coffees to go with them (much better than the coffees we had earlier at The Watershed). Very friendly guys who were running this little cafe. Good value for money.

Travelling from Canada, and some colleagues brought me one of their rolls. After that I was back everyday. Incredibly friendly staff, the kitchen is spotless, and of course the food was fantastic. Will make a point of coming here whenever I'm back in Bristol!

16 years ago I used to live 100 metres down the road and it was reliable for greasy breakfasts and burgers when needed. It still is... I really think this place is the secret of Bristol city centre.. from the outside it's a dingy burger kisok... And largely it's the same inside... But the burgers are fantastic...

such a hidden gem if you’re by Harbourside! despite the humble exterior, this place is a must for a breakfast/lunch on the go. we had the Halloumi burger which was packed with fried egg, avocado and a hash brown!! unreal and only £5.80. the guy serving us was also lovely, letting us watch the football whilst we waited for our delicious burgers. genuinely haven’t stopped thinking about how tasty our lunch was all day.

Quick bite to eat before a day of uni, incredible value for money and the guys are always super lovely & helpful. Yum!

Stopped here on a recent trip to Bristol, really glad I did. Had burger and chips, proper burger pattie with real cheese on top and for only £8 a real bargain. Will be stopping here again in the future.

My and my friend are regular visitors of Princes pantry. I order the veggie breakfast bap and it’s delicious, generous portions too. It’s a really nice location with nice outside seating by the harbour. Perfect hangover cure in the sun

I'm only leaving this review because I hope the owner sees it and gives the guy who served me some training in hospitality - because he didn't give a sh!t. This is the second time in a row he has served me and got the order wrong. This time I ordered a BLT with hash browns. He got forgot the hash browns. Last time he forgot the lettuce. I was the only person there so there is no reason to get it wrong. He also gave me just one thin slice of tomato - and it was the end with the root on - the part you normally throw away. To give me that part of the tomato and nothing else shows that he doesn't give a crap about this business or the customers. The fact this was prime time in the morning before work on the most beautiful day of the year so far, with hundreds of people walking past and not a single person was here, gives the impression it has gone down hill. I'll give it another go at some point because I used to love this place but not for a while. Maybe the signage and chairs inside the takeaway part might have been better set up outside on such a glorious day - just another thought. He was probably too lazy though. Right or wrong that's just the impression you get from this bloke. Here's hoping it gets back to its amazing best.

This gem of a place was our go to place to grab a bit of breakfast / brunch before we headed out for the day. Lovely breakfast rolls and plenty of filling at a great price.

Cheerful little outlet where we had a couple of coffees which were ok, a reasonable sandwich and a bottle of flavoured water in an interesting location watching the swing bridge and not too pricy.

Found this place while setting off to explore Bristol early morning. Nice outdoor seating overlooking boats. I ordered a sausage bap. Decent size but unfortunately a taste of burn fat. Coffee was good though

On a nice sunny day all you need is a bacon or sausage bap and a great cup of tea for breakfast. Get yourself down to this little hut and sit outside and watch the world go by. Its good basic food cooked well.

5 years since we last visited Bristol and we headed straight for Princes Pantry again. So pleased it's still producing the most succulent and tasty burgers. A great flat white too. Great to see it still thriving. Highly recommended.

Was a busy Saturday, we waited patiently in que. 2 men serving including owner. He chatted to one woman only who selfishly stayed in side while they cooked. (Its a 1 in and 1 out) while they were cooking her food. Owner ignored everyone waiting outside and simply made his mates food, chatted to her and and left!??? still leaving said woman inside and a huge que. We must have waited 35 to 40 minutes!! 1. She should have been asked to wait outside, so they could have served others in meantime. 2. Owner talking about setting up a second pantry in Bedminster, but with such disregard for those waiting on this occasion, and most having left, along with fact, him leaving his worker on his own, is some of the worst customer service iv ever seen. 3. People left in disgust. We waited stupidly and when we did finally get to order, we had to wait as another order had been forgotten and had to be done first!? 4. We finally got order but he had forgotten chips. I asked for refund but he assured me was ready. We had to wait again. 5. When we finally recieved food, and opened breakfast baps, they were disgusting. SUPER fatty salty cheap bacon on Dry brown rolls no butter nothing and soggy chips in non eco friendly polystyrene. We threw all of the food in the bin in utter disgust. Save your money and find elsewhere.

I hadn't been here since the place was taken over, but when I went here the Friday before Christmas on a bacon butty run, I was glad I did. The baps are superb (fnar fnar) with a choice of bread. I thoroughly recommend the Full Hog. My mate said the New Yorker burger was great as well. This place is busy, so best to ring s ahead.

Got served really quick, my egg sandwich was a meal and the location is great for water lovers and boaties.

They don't pay their suppliers and try to avoid all contact with them. Avoid!!!!

Best burger I had in ages! Hand made just in front of you with fresh, high quality ingredients. On top of that, friendly owner, fast service and good prices. Only thing I could ask to make it better is to have some cooked onions on my burger :)

I've been coming here for the past 5 years. The staff have changed but what remains the same is the quality of burger. Reggae music playing in the background, super chilled atmosphere. I had the New Yorker last week and it was amazing. The large patty was pressed out right in front of me. I went medium rare as the meat is so fresh. Topped with pastrami, cheese, pickles,fresh cut salad and sauce (I went classic ketchup and American mustard on the chefs recommendation) stacked into a toasted brioche bun. It was a mouthful of beefy heaven. If you are in Bristol and you want a great, no frills quality burger on the go then in my opinion you won't go far wrong and with its £5.50 price tag you will still have plenty of cash left over. Try out these guys you won't be disappointed. I won't go anywhere else now.

Great food and great service just can get a bit busy at times, meaning you may have to wait. However in it's defence it's a tiny building!

Very slow service, almost like they don't want the business, if busy they just say call back. Call often with a large order, and despite being opposite refuse to deliver. If you want customer service, you wont find it here.

Just had a sausage and egg roll from here. It was horrible. The sausages were burnt and I seemed to have only half an egg. Next time I'll keep walking and go to Brunels Buttery.

Stopped for an American burger, it was fantastic. Come back every week now as it’s great value, friendly service and incredible food. Best beef pattie I’ve had. Also have a water bowl out for dogs. 😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

A great feast can be had here - takeaway the beast of all breakfasts. Well priced and freshly cooked this is a good way to start the day.

We called in for lunch and had a bacon and egg sandwich. The service was quick and fairly friendly but the bacon was re-heated having been pre-cooked, and it was black, not burnt but it had picked lots of black bits off the grill, and that was quite unpleasant, without the egg yolk on it I don't think I could have eaten it.

Really good, solid breakfast baps, nicely cooked and very reasonably priced. Go early if you want something on the spur of the moment otherwise there can be a bit of a wait because it's so popular. Top tip is you can phone through orders and collect when ready.

So goddamn delicious, I almost wept. The bun was light and fresh, the burger was juicy and meaty. It was sensational.

This is a breakfast and burger van and is the best place to visit on a hangover. Massive bacon rolls for £2.30 which are delicious. Nice little outside area too.

Best place to grab lunch in town if you eat meat. If you're veggie and don't mind shared grill space then get their veggie breakfast bap for £3

Myself and my friends visit here, mostly during work. I've only ever had the breakfast baps and they're pretty good. Some occasions we visit and the staff are friendly and helpful, other times, when other members of staff serve its a completely different experience. Unhelpful and rude. Everything seems like two much trouble (we don't ask a lot we literally just order off the menu on display). A basic "can't be assed", "I'd rather be elsewhere" attitude. We all have days like that at work but don't make it massively obvious especially when you're in a customer facing role. As mentioned this is not all staff. But it's also not the first time this have happened and we've left with a bad taste in our mouth, it even came into conversation with other people we know hours later (we hadn't even brought the subject up!) we might return and give it another go. There's a lot of competition around the city. Why take a gamble when you have consistancy elsewhere.

Best food I have had in Bristol!!!

A friend and I had a burger and a bacon sandwich there a week ago and we both still have stomach pains.Since this experience I have heard of several similar incidences from here.

The food here is simply awesome. Had the Mexicana burger and it was spot on. We do our office weekly bacon sarnie run here as well, we have sampled quite a few places and these Bacon Sarnies are the best we have come across by far. Guys in there are always very polite and friendly too and seem very passionate about their business.

This place is INSANELY good. I mean, really, as close to perfect as you can get, if you're looking for a British breakfast bap full of gooey egg, crispy bacon and all the other good stuff, for an incredible price. Extra lovely on a chilly sunny morning.

This used to be rather good, but the quality of ingredients has gone down, they only serve instant coffee nowadays, bread on a Sunday a little stale. I had a bacon baguette, which was rather dry and not very tasty

A great little sandwich shop. They'll cook your bacon and egg to your liking, the tea is proper builders tea and it's just a nice place to sit and enjoy watching life go by. Time it carefully - popular with all the workies getting early lunch so you can get stuck behind an order for "12 bacon sarnies".

I like to think I've travelled a fair bit , eaten at high end restaurants , tasted all types of food and also worked within the food industry for many years. So I like to think I know my food.The classic British burger can really let you down!! Not on this very momentous occasion!!The New Yorker from princes pantry is by far the best burger I've had the privilege to taste. The bun can get very soggy very quickly with most burgers but this bun holds up perfectly. Perfect size with seeds and very light is an absolute must and this bun delivers!!The locally sourced meat is succulent , seasoned perfectly and cooked to your liking. Recommend medium rare. Again , the puck itself holds together perfectly like the bun it sits in. This bad boy doesn't crumble and oozes taste.As everyone ( should ) know that pastrami is the ingredient to makes it the all American taste. The thick Cut slices add depth and compliment the puck perfectly.The gherkins feel like they have been pickled for years adding a great zing and a certain freshness to the burger.To cap this amazing burger off is the Cajun Mayo sauce. This is homemade with free range locally sourced eggs and a perfect compliment of Cajun spice to add a little heat to every single succulent bite. You can go to New York ( which I have 3 times ) and get a burger from any restaurant which tastes nice. However , this outstrips anything I've tasted over the other side of the pond! I cannot rave enough about this burger!! Matt ( who I think is the owner ) happily discussed his passion for locally sourced product / produce. Very friendly staff, always up for a chat whilst you wait. Good quality ingredients making a whole range of breakfast sarnies (not just bacon and egg!). A range of roles, baps and sticks to pick from. And a lunch time menu also.

Great guys, very welcoming, excellent breakfast in a roll. Always take a little detour to pick up something in the mornings. And they're open 7 days a week! Definitely a loyal customer!

Is this the best joint in Bristol? It's outstanding, if I wouldn't get fat I'd eat there everyday. The breakfast bap is fantastic value, tiger bread with a runny egg, what's not to love.
