Bit of a disappointment to be honest. The decor lacks character and ambience, which is replaced by the generic sterility of a standard gastro pub. Kind of like a Whetherspoons, but with normal priced drinks, so worse. On the subject of drinks, I was offered a loyalty card on my first purchase in the pub, which states “buy 10 beers get one free”. We bought four beers while here and only had two stamps acquired on the card, which makes me feel a little ripped off. It seems that the whole Easton area somewhat agreed with me this night too, as where all other pubs in the area had a queue out the door this evening (the first pay weekend of 2025), there were barely six people in the queens head the whole time we were there. BS5 pubs have always had a quirky and interesting spin on them, which is what keeps them popular and their patrons loyal. The refurb of the Queens Head (and I assume new ownership) has entirely removed all semblance a unique, fun and intimate environment and replaced it with a generic, standardised use of a space. Such a shame to see this one change, take a leaf from other pubs in the area and give yourself some character!

This place is both monumentally good, and under used & valued. Service: bar staff are great, always friendly and accommodating. Music – Jukebox: great variety of music from all genres. Music – various live music nights, not least Duvet Vous which runs once a month or so. Pool: Newly refurbished pool table which is a delight to play on however, pool cues are not so much – bring your own to enjoy the benefits of a great table. Food - I've eaten here a few times - everything on the Menu is fantastic – I’ve not eaten a bad meal. There's not many people that can cook this good, but each and every meal is banging. A steak should be a simple food to cook however, it’s unbelievably rare to find someone who can cook steak well: Colin, the owner and chef does so consistently – try rare (go on), at most medium-rare, and you’ll be sold ….Vegans not so much () – but great vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Sunday roast is excellent with well cooked roast and great vegetables and a wide selection of condiments and sauces. All food is phenomenally well priced. Drinks – pumps cleaned – rarely a bad pint – and when one is, there’s a no quibble policy about changing it. Ales: Camden and Arbour are the mainstay, as well as occasional guest ales. Lager: reasonable variety including Moretti Zyder: Thatchers, Inches and ‘Natch’ Spirits – well stocked top shelf with lots of varieties of each type. Teas, Coffees and hot chocolate – never a problem. Summary: great location not far out of town, friendly staff, tasty food and drinks with good choice of music, great pool table and rear garden for those that like to set themselves alight – gather round and get warm. P.s., I’m a punter – don’t work here – just think it’s an underused but great friendly pub.

Not a bad venue, the elecronic musical events are usually really good here. The neighborhood is a bit on the rough edge, but I never had any issues. The service is good, the prices are fair. Check out the musical events!

Lovely roast (please don’t be put off by 5 stars, I’m a northerner down south and hard to please) great selection of drinks and the staff are absolutely lovely

I normally go when duvet vous is on and it's a great party with a great music and a good atmosphere , usually feel right at home as know lots of people that go and it's a great place to catch up. Staff are nice, never had any issues.

There are plenty of options for lagers, ales & ciders. The staff are lovely & helpful, and there’s plenty of seating options indoors & outdoors in the garden. Not everywhere is wheelchair accessible but there are spaces that will accommodate one. The food is good, but they have limited kitchen hours. I love the events that they host & that’s the best bit about this place

A rough end town pub full of different and beautiful people. A warm welcome and engaging conversation with some of life's "different " people, was made to feel welcome. Good foods and ales.

Was in the Queens Head on Thursday night, they had an open mic night which was great and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Food is also served with some great offers, including 2 for 1 on main meals on a Monday. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place with a friend, family or a group.

Went there for a Duvet Vous event. What a good night!

Quick stop but always worthwhile

Unsure if it’s the evening we went but this place was so unhinged. The outdoor space lacks atmosphere and so did the side room which we had to sit in because the main pub didn’t have space to seat us as a larger party. The food was very mediocre and left a few of us feeling unwell. They have a decent range of beers on tap, though. The guy behind the bar served us nicely and handled the fight that broke out calmly.

Heard about the Sunday roast and came to check out on way home from a meal Friendly barstaff with a very good selection of beers and ciders Will return for a food recce soon Cheers 🍻

Had lunch with 5 other friends, the food was delicious and all came together. Was great value and excellent produce. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Would highly recommend to anyone that may be interested in a family or group meal.

Had lunch today at The Queens Head, and the new food menu was a lovely surprise. The food was presented beautifully, tasted amazing and was very responsibly priced. Has a friendly atmosphere, family’s are welcome. Would highly recommend.

Great Sunday lunch, fresh veg, lots of meat, lovely roast potatoes and proper Yorkshire pudding, and all for less than £10, you can’t go wrong! Lovely home made lemon sponge cake for dessert too, such good value, all served with speed and courtesy. Will definitely return!

On recent visit by I welcomed on entrance by a very friendly gent, who served me a quality pint and during my visited another gent , who I since found out was landlord, was very welcoming, a pub of character and very well looked after by the gents I met that day

Like I said before there's a couple a little beauties fora drink in Easton. Queens is right up there. Shame outdoor fire couldn't be blazing but never mind.

Sunday Roast is Fabulous and the bar snacks menu will fill the biggest of holes. Absolutely excellent service and standard of food.

Great pub! Pool table, dance floor, great selection at the bar. Theres also a nice smoking area with a big fire chimney outside. And apparently they do a banging roast on a Sunday! Looking forward to checking that out soon 😋

Visited the queens head today for lunch with friends, the menu is reasonably new, so wanted to try. Outstanding food, extremely reasonably priced. Service and staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Last of the original pubs withe the authentic English pubs ways. Drinks are cheap and is a large space with a backroom as a function room. A rarity to have a pub full of loyal locals and youngers who are all relaxed. Not every pub needs to play Lady Gaga and sell pints for £6!
