One of just a few real pubs left in the city, A place where you can quickly talk to strangers, I say quickly because within minutes, they are no longer strangers. Many places used to be like that, sadly less and less these days. A real warm atmosphere. Thank you. Nuff said.

Have been visiting this pub on and off for 45 years when in the area. They serve an excellent, reasonably priced Butcombe real ale, the atmosphere is great and everything is clean and well maintained. A really good local pub, so rare these days.

What a great pub. So many friends. Lanndlord & Landlady so so friendly. Come In for a classic Clarks pie or pastie with a great pint of beer. Cheap & Cheerful.

Proper pub. Great prices. No loud tv blasting out sport but good choice of tunes on jukebox. No unruly children running around. Perfect place to have a chill and beer

A proper old school local pub, no fuss, just good booze at great prices in a very friendly atmosphere. An excellent selection of bags of "tapas" if you're hungry! The toilets are always clean. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a drink in a proper pub and not some poncey wine bar!

Cheapest beer in Bristol. And a nice pub atmosphere.

Decent place to watch a game, with so many tvs around. Bonus for the cheap drinks. Nice people around xx

If you have children don’t bother going here. Me and my 1 yr old son went to visit my dad here today at 1pm and got told to leave because they don’t allow children in a “public house” You’re not a pub if the public are not allow in… Also all the old farts dog you up as soon as you go in as if to say you’re not welcome. Worst pub experience in Bristol by a mile

Better atmosphere In greggs at 6.30am .cheap booze is flat

Drinking Blackthorn today, but the Real Ale (Butcombe) is 10/10 and as it should be (Flat). I can’t see how anyone can post bad reviews about this place unless they work at/for the nearby competitors!

Unbeatable atmosphere here! The staff are just as sweet as the prices. The outdoor area is spacious and a proper sun trap. The pool table is also cracking value for money. Whitehall Tapas is a true delicacy to try!

Food - just check out the menu, incredible to be honest, I've never seen anything like it! Service- Mandy and the staff there are friendly and kind and they have made the space feel that way too, which brings me onto the next point - Atmos- people are drinking in a place where the people that run the pub really care, so they're relaxed in comfort. What a great little bar. Designed and catering for the drinking man and woman. Great staff clean lines so a good pint of beer. Stewy's alright as well. Good selection of nibbles and homemade rolls. Reasonably priced.

Great tavern/pub with reasonably priced pints. They have the football on and you can play darts or pool, over seen people playing poker in there. Dukebox for the bangers too.

Really lovely local pub. All the staff were very friendly and you're quick to get served here. The atmosphere is lovely with nice decor, theres also a pool table and an outside area. I should also mention, the prices for drinks are great! I ordered two pints and it came to ~£5. Look no further to wet your whistle.

Great little tavern on the outskirts of Easton. Good mix of punters and locals. Nice team running the place. Cheap as chips. 2 pints and 2 bags of crisps. Change from a £10. What's not to like about that!

Met for a karaoke session with a few people. Old fashion set up very friendly staff who were kept busy. Everyone were enjoying the chosen songs by singing along.. Prices were reasonable. Varying ages attended. Good night for an early night. Definitely worth a look.
