Brilliant all round can’t fault anything at all brilliant value for money

I recently had a Sunday roast at the Square Club and couldn't recommend it enough to others. The food was delicious, the service was super friendly, and the overall atmosphere was lovely. I will definitely be going again in the future.

Went recently for the Sunday roast after a recommendation from a friend. Did not disappoint and the service was great.

This is my favourite place to eat however I have had no choice to downgrade it due to my experience with the Jan offer. Two of our party of 7 had the rib-eye and it was the worst price of steak I’ve ever had. We both had to fight our way around white gristle. Sorry Square Club I do still think your Sunday lunch is amazing

Had 2 dinners for our club here for x50 people. The service and food are always excellent.

Christmas meal ushered into a over crowed room couldn't move or even get a drink meal was upstairs rows of people just enough room to squeeze by sat to eat at 9 pm finished meal at 11.45 was so slow getting food courses out you just got fed up in the end I would say getting the money in was more important than your experience it was never worth 40 pounds couldn't even eat properly my elbows were squashed against people sat next to me never again

Had a student Christmas party here. Service and food were both absolutely amazing !! Good atmosphere, me and my group had a great time! Would definitely recommend for Christmas parties and their student deal is a great price :)

Best Sunday lunch I’ve had for a while. The beef was perfectly cooked. The sides were really tasty, especially the cauliflower cheese. We also loved the tarragon gravy. We will definitely go again.

Went to New Year's Eve at The Square and it was literally so much fun - great value, free booze all night, and the staff made it feel so special. Will def get tickets again next year, had such a good time

We went to the Square Club for a family Sunday lunch and the food was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere is relaxed, calm, and the service is second to none. Beth and Charlie were so lovely and really made us feel welcome, anticipating anything we could possibly need. We are getting married here in August and have been back several times for lunch/dinner; each time the whole experience is exceptional and we are so excited to spend our special day here!

We had the most magical day at The Square Club for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was perfect, making the day perfect, it was the exact vibe we wanted. Chill but fun!! A huge thank you to Niamh and Jasmine for their exceptional organization and communication throughout the entire process. They ensured every detail was taken care of, even following up after the wedding to make sure everything went as we wanted. The colorful decor added a vibrant touch, creating a beautiful and joyful atmosphere. The venue is so well decorated there really was no need for much extra added. The food was incredible, everyone was well fed - even the fussy eaters and children! We also had plenty of space to enjoy our wedding with over 70 guests with ease, ensuring everyone was comfortable and had a fantastic time. We have received so many compliments about the venue, it really is unique and the terrace/secret garden offers a great space for summer evenings! A special thanks to Taylor for his incredible bar skills, adding an extra touch to our celebration. Thank you, The Square Club, for making our wedding day so perfect!

Fabulous venue for a 50th birthday party with friends and family of all ages! We had just over 50 guests and loved the versatile space - outdoors in the sunshine and also under cover if it rained, and then a brilliant bar and dance floor downstairs. The Square Club staff were amazing - welcoming, efficient and went out of their way to support us getting everything ready and clearing up at the end of the night. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back for another event!

We held our end of season presentation at the venue and it was fantastic. The venue has a good sized area for people to gather with a raised stage for the presentation. It also has a food area and terrace allowing people to get some fresh air and chill out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The club is in a great location. We will definitely return in the future.

I have been a member of The Square Club now for over a year. I always feel so welcomed when arriving in the club and my dog gets lots of attention and treats from the lovely team. Shout out to Sophie who always has time for a chat. Lovely community.

An update to my last review.... It's been a while but everything was perfect as expected. Love the cocktails! Charlie you are a star. You look after us so well - whether it's dinner or lunch. Food never disappoints. Sunday roast was fabulous. Cooked perfectly and so filling we had to get take away boxes! The starter was so original and very tasty. Veggie and meat options. Thank you Charlie and your fab team for looking after us. I'm still full!

Recently had dinner here for my 21st birthday celebration. The food was amazing and of good portion size. Charlie, in particular, provided us with lovely service. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Getting married at The Square Club in the summer, I’ve been a couple times and each time it gets better. The food & service is always so fantastic. Recently we explored their bar, which was amazing. Taylor is knowledgeable & fun bar manager, his attention to details on the cocktails were incredible. I would highly recommend this hidden gem for the best cocktails in Bristol.

Had an amazing night full of delicious cocktails! The downstairs cocktail bar has an excellent feel, it’s intimate, cosy and classy. Taylor working behind the bar made exceptional cocktails tailored to each of us. Couldn’t recommend getting a drink here more! A hidden gem in the heart of Bristol.

Keegan made us amazing cocktails in the bar followed by first class food in the restaurant served by Beth and her colleague whose name we didn’t get but they were so attentive and friendly - we eat out a lot and this was second to none. Aidan the chef produced some incredible dishes - we will be back as soon as we can - thank you for a wonderful evening 👏

I hired the Square Club recently for a Birthday party. Everything went according to plan and the staff were all great - friendly, helpful and organised . We all had a blast and lots of the guests commented on how great the venue is . There is so much space inside and out .Thoroughly recommend !

One of the best roasts in the city! Everything is cooked to perfection. Great blend of classic dishes and original specialities. Big portions to. A true hidden gem that you don't want to miss. Nadia and the team were very friendly.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to exhibit my art at the Square Club. The club is beautifully furnished and decorated and it was an absolute pleasure to see my work in the space. Sophie the club manager couldn’t have been more helpful, with swift and efficient organisation of everything including a wonderful preview event. The logistics involved in installing 30 large paintings was handled with ease. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Incredible roast for an affordable price with friendly, attentive service! The best roast I have had in Bristol, completely recommend you try it yourself! The roast beef was perfectly cooked and so much thought has clearly been put into every item. Will be back soon :)

This place and the team are very special! It's so much more than a club. A great place to work from, meet clients, network, attend great talks, party and simply relax. As part of The Square Club family the team look after members in a fantastic way - nothing is too much trouble.

I have been a member at the square club for a year now, and have been visiting as a guest since 2019. Square is an incredible place to host an event with great atmosphere and decor, as well to work. I love the inside space but the outdoor space at the back in the summer is just absolutely amazing. A great little sun trap with strong cocktails! I have met wonderful people through being a member and their social events are brilliant! Special shout out to Sophie the membership manager who throughout the years I have been coming, has always greeted with a smile and makes everyone feel so welcome. She’ll always stop to have a chat with you and to see how you are. She’s a gem and there’s definitely nothing else in Bristol that compares. Chef’s kiss from me!

I've been using The Square Club regularly for the last 6 or so years and can't fault the venue or the service! Over this time, I've used The Square for lunches (for c.20 people), for evening networking drinks (50-100 people) and also business workshops (20-30 people). The lounge is also a great space for me to use to catch up on work in between meetings. The food at The Square is first class and I'd highly recommend it for any business or social meetings. Sophie Yardley is the person to contact if you want looking after - she's simply brilliant; nothing is ever too much trouble!

We hosted a private company event here recently. The Square Club were really accommodating and communicative throughout the process. The quality of food for serving 45+ guests was really exceptional. I would recommend.

Food perfect …. Plenty of veg and gravy .. Staff attentive and helpful.. I would definitely return as food great value .

Lovely young staff and fabulous food. Sadly the bar could not cope with serving for an event plus us two diners in the restaurant and had no alcohol free drinks (during a dry january promotion!). Also no coffee after our meal because the machine had been switched off. A real shame as we had been looking forward to this return visit and special meal together.

Fantastic Sunday Roast. Generous portion with good selection of veg and condiments. Rump isn't my favourite cut of beef(think the online sample menu advertised Sirloin) but I understand the menu changes weekly and it was still tasty. Attentive service from the waitresses. Recommended

My partner and I are getting married at the Square in August so we wanted to come and try the food, and I have to say we are even more excited for our wedding, having been! The service was impeccable, both Charlie and Nadia were welcoming, smiley and couldn't do enough for us! And then the food was delicious, came quickly and hot, and also was reasonable priced. We would recommend the square to anyone, and can't wait to go back, so much so we are already booked in for February!

My friend and I came for a Sunday roast this afternoon and what an incredible experience we had. The main event being the most tender, bursting with flavour beef, served with crispy roasties, juicy veg and decadent cauliflower cheese. Bonus points for the hidden surprise found in the Yorkshire pudding, a mound of melt-in-the-mouth feather blade led on a sweet chutney bed. When I thought it couldn’t get any better, I was introduced to the raspberry and Armagnac brûlée. This is the best creme brûlée I’ve ever had, sweet but not sickly, crunchy top with the smoothest, most buttery delight underneath. All in all, a fabulous treat to end the week, with a lovely atmosphere inside and extremely welcoming, tentative staff. Cannot recommend enough, I’ll be back soon… Special thanks to Jim, Buba, jeorge and kassim in the kitchen who crafted this culinary delight not to be forgotten.

We came for Sunday lunch at the square club, and it felt like a real treat. I was warmly welcomed by Nadia and Charlie who did a great job waiting on us. With food of such quality, the size of the portions was generous. Would recommend!

Highly recommend for private dining. Me and my partner decided to have our post registry office meal here with our family. Jasmine and Niamh were very helpful with all the planning and organisation, they were also very quick to respond to any queries etc ! Dan and his service team on the night were very friendly and helpful and ensured a smooth evening for us all. The head chef and his team made the best food with very hearty portions ! It was very tasty and everyone enjoyed all there meals ! Thanks again to all at square club !

I don't think they very respectfully or maturely deal with complaints. After one of his (Dan, writes the responses for SC) staff members Kez was called out in a 1 star review simply with the words 'dam right rude', he proceeded to leave a lovely long corporate reply, using his pretty long words to please the consumer. The less ignorant among us will notice that his response when his staff member is simply called out for being rude, he says in reference to her comments, that they do not accept rude behaviour towards their staff. The customer stated the staff member was rude, that in itself is not rude, implying it is is gaslighting, turning it back on the customer is gaslighting. It isn't rude to be honest about staff members. Yes you need to protect them from online abuse, but reviews exist for a reason and there's a difference between someone's honest account of what happened and someone just being rude. If your company really has the spirit of improvement, surely you'll take this on board.

Food was great, had the place to ourselves, could've done with an extra pig in blanket, Charlie's service was top class, give her a bonus so she can buy more Christmas earrings

We booked the Berkley Square Hotel for our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary Meal. The events team Niamh and Jasmine responded quickly to emails and telephone calls to help with the planning. On the day Erin, Hannah and two other staff (sorry I do not know their names) were so helpful to ensure that the restaurant was laid out beautifully, genuinely interested and caring, making sure the dinner and afternoon went well. The food was delicious and everyone served at the same time. Everyone was made welcome including our younger guests who were well looked after, everyone went home very happy. Thank you

The Square Club was a lovely setting for dinner. We had a group of 23 which they managed very well. The food came out quickly and the staff were very kind and helpful. All the food was delicious. Great value for money.

My son and new wife held a wedding celebration party here for friends and family who couldn't attend the actual wedding ceremony. I found the venue a little difficult to locate from West End car park) no signage) But ., once located, found it to be very easy to enter down some fairly steep steps.The atmosphere inside the bar room was warm and welcoming. The Toilets were well signposted and clean and very welcome after after a fairly lengthy journey. The bar staff were pleasant' polite and helpful .It was nice to be able to use other rooms including the garden area where we met up with friends and other family members in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.I think were lucky that the weather was dry and mild. The garden may not have been so pleasant otherwise. The barbequed food was lovely - good choices including vegitarian and vegan it was all hot enough - not always the case with a barbeque!.It looked and tasted well cooked and there was plenty for everyone. Everything looked appetising and the serving area wasclean and tidy. I was impressed once again with the staff who couldn''t have been more pleasant, polite and helpful. The empty plates were cleared quickly and efficiently once we had eaten but I didn't feel rushed. There were several childrethere Nice to see that they were allere well behaved and this was due in no small measure to the calm and relaxed atmosphere in the seating area and to the ready availability of pick and mix sweets provided by the bride and groom. We loved the music that was played in the bar area after we had eaten and the plentiful seating in and around the area was welcomed by everyone , including the older family members and those people who couldn't stand for long periods. A great venue for a family party. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you for any family orientated event.

What can I say, I organised a re-union lunch for 20 of my old school friends and I can only say WOW... everything about the lunch was wonderful. Everyone made us feel welcome, we were never rushed, the service was excellent and the food AMAZING. We a had a fabulous time, thank you Square Club 5⭐+.

The Square is a perfect place for a mid-size or intimate wedding. Everyone we worked with was patient, lovely, and made our day. It was a pleasure working with everyone!

This has got to be one of tastiest food experiences I've had in Bristol. Its got a good reputation for its for roast dinners, so naturally wanted to try it out. The truffle cauliflower cheese was absolutely delicious. Red wine gravy went well with the beef, Yorkshire pudding with pulled beef was nice together. The swordfish starter was so damn tasty. Service was friendly and welcoming, prices were amazing for what I got. Strongly recommend it.

My son took over the whole club for the evening for his pre-wedding party and ice breaker before his wedding the next day Elsewhere. Brilliant idea and venue.

Communication was 10/10 from my first enquiry to the date of the event. All went as planned, everyone enjoyed themselves and so many expressed how lovely the venue is. I had such a great time at the square club with friends this week. We were particularly impressed with the drinks. I dont recall her name, but the bar manager was really engaging and made us feel well looked after, even making some delicious off-menu bespoke cocktails. The food was fantastic, the staff a delight, and the atmosphere was perfect, its a definite venue for any special event or a work night out.

Had our wedding here , great food however many issues that shouldn't of been a issue. -food great Issues .... - staff unable to tell me where they put our gift postbox after the evening had finished and advised to sort this in the morning, we had to insist it's sorted immediately. - venue posting pictures of my wedding dress and husband before I even had with out my permission and posting pictures again a few weeks later in which they asked my photographer for but did not ask my permission. These photos were photos I hadn't shared with anyone - despite being told I could charge a drink to my room should I need one on the wedding day I was told no unless you have a card or cash you can't have a drink despite paying nearly 12k. Bar lady very rude - told they will not provide limes for the corona as this isn't something they can accommodate and lime is only used for there social media pictures ! This would mean the bride to bring them on the morning of her wedding! Venue Finally provided them after i informed them this is ridiculous and I wish to speak to the manager. - many other issues however not enough space to write. In Response to your reply Dan, if the post box is always locked away safe please ensure all staff are aware as no one seemed to no where this was On the evening which was worrying and caused frustrating and concern -the bride not able to charge a drink to her room, if this is the case then the day before my wedding I shouldn't have been told this was possible and it was dam right rude of the bar women kez to say to me unless you have cash or a card you can't have a drink when I paid 12k for the venue and was told I could. As a bride I was gobsmacked it was just me asking for one drink for myself ! I wanted to pay ! -limes I offered to bring a closed kilner jar , it was just made difficult when it didnt need to. The list could go on, I have never met such a dificult venue over such simple tasks, when other venues cannot do enough for you. Even down to announcing the bride and groom into dinner which is carried out at every wedding I've ever attended , I was told this cannot be done and we should ask a guest to do it !!!! Eventually after a intense discussion it was ok’d but it felt like I was committing a crime to even ask ! This is a simple task yet again made difficult ,Mind baffling

A good friend of mine got married here and spent a huge amount on there special day to be told they wernt allowed to pick what drinks they wanted. The venue itself is very nice and a great location but it felt that the staff went out of there way to be difficult. I was sent to collect drink vouchers for the wedding and spent 30 minutes waiting to collect something that should of been ready. It then became apparent they were printing them whilst we waited so they didn't look great. The staff did make it obvious they thought we were a pain when asking simple questions about the running of the day. The staff all seem very young and inexperienced when it comes to event planning. The food was great but not much choice. Overall I wouldn't recommend getting married at this venue as they are very restrictive when it comes to what you want compared to other venues who couldn't do enough for you.

Held our work summer party here for the university of bristol and it was brilliant. Staff were responsive and attentive throughout the process, on the day were really helpful. I had a tour of the venue before booking which was really useful and they answered my many many questions with great patience! I specifically liaised mostly with Maddie and Niamh. Thank you both! Would so recommend to anyone looking for a staff party the secret terrace is lovely.

The team made sure the evening ran smoothly and according to plan, and were just so friendly, I highly recommend them!!

We've booked the Lower Deck twice now and have been really impressed with the service and space. The team were very accommodating, helping our DJ set up and showing us how to use the projector. It's a great space with access to their lovely terrace. Thanks to Niamh & Maddie who were our Square Club point of contacts and very helpful throughout.

I was in the private bar downstairs. Very nice atmosphere, a wonderful variety of drinks behind the bar at a not so ridiculous price. Nice aesthetic in decor and background music. Plus, it's always nice to have nice smelling, good quality handcream in the loos..
