I was so excited to try these macaroons as I have an obsession with them. From previous reviews I was prepared for the expense and macaroons tend to be pricey anyways but I was disappointed with how dry they were. There were a variety of flavours and colours were beautiful but I was shocked with how dry and flavourless they were. I’ve had macaroons from many places and can say these are sadly the worst.
The lady was very welcoming, bacon role was nice but, order was wrong. The bill was wrong. Apart from that it was good. The only person working needs some training.
Lovely surroundings, reasonable but not exceptional cakes but slow service and the price is extortionate. They don't show prices either so you get quite a shock when it's time to pay.
Incredible food, with a high price tag and awful customer service.
The food is really good. Well made and interesting flavours, without giving too many of those fast food side effects. But it's also expensive, way too expensive for what is essentially still fast food.
The service was awful. I ordered online directly, and the food was ready when I got there. All they had to do was hand me the food and wish me well. Instead, the guy who came out seemed somehow inconvenienced by my presence, sulking off to grab the only good on the counter, dropping the bag on the table in front of me, and saying "is this yours?" without bothering to read it himself. He then walked out the restaurant to chat with someone else without another word. What a joke.
A wonderful experience from start to finish! Very friendly staff and fantastic food! One of the only places in the U.K. which was able to make an unsweetened iced tea for my husband. Definitely a must try!
The prices were quite steap but what you’d expect for the centre of bath, food was nice, however took a while to come. Toilets were clean but a mission to get too, but nicely sign posted to tell you where to go. Service at the bar was slow only had 1 person behind the bar and he was busy making cocktails for table service had to wait ten minutes to be served. Would go again but not very often as it’s quite expensive
I loved Robun when it first opened. It was unlike anything else in Bath, and the food and service were both on point.
Sadly, for the last couple of years it has been on the decline and what remains is a soulless restaurant where the food and service are average at best.
Four of us went there last night and whilst some of the dishes were okay they had run out of Tuna (for the tartare), Campari (for the negronis), and served the white wine at room temp.
The £27 black cod is now half the size it used to be and the food comes out so quickly that it surely can’t be freshly prepared, can it?
Worst of all, the service is unrefined and simply not good enough at this price point, e.g. c£75 a head.
Amazing pizza and cocktails but the staff top it all! Happened to mention my aunty was having a birthday and lovely Libby had a beautiful birthday dessert sent to our table. Just wonderful!
