The lady was very welcoming, bacon role was nice but, order was wrong. The bill was wrong. Apart from that it was good. The only person working needs some training.

Went with a dear friend for lunch as this new pop up pie restaurant on Walcot Street. It is advertised as only open for January as it is seeking crowd funding. The space has been tastefully decorated. The staff were super friendly. We both ordered pie, mash and gravy for £6. I had the chicken and mushroom and my friend the steak and ale. Both pies were cooked to perfection and absolutely crammed full of a most delicious filling. The mash and gravy were perfect accompaniments for the pies. Fantastic lunch and really hope they are still there in February.

Wanted to watch the last Bristol City match of the season. They kindly put it on when requested at the bar. Screens everywhere, they even put another game on a different screen towards the end of the 90 minutes as crucial fixtures elsewhere. Great selection of ciders. No food, but you can order in. Would definitely go back.

We arrived at around 1.30 with an almost empty carpark. No one sat in the pub garden. So went in to get a few menus to be told they need to speak to the chef to see if he was able to accommodate us. For a restaurant this size and hardly anyone in it was quite suprising. Got some menus and sat outside. We all decided what we were having and ordered pritty quickly. All good no problem. 4 meals 2 children 2 adults came to £75. About average price for going out these days. Food arrived with in 20 mins. all pipping hot, chips were lovely, the children enjoyed there meals. Me and my partner both had burgers, and what a disappointment. It looked amazing but unfortunately there was no sweet chilli sauce and the burger pattys were mainly pork. which was a disappointment they were dry and flavourless. looking at reviews and pictures online and wanting to try this place for a while it was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. There is so much that can be done with this restaurant with loads of local produce available. Can do better.

We stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids 10 and 22) on a Friday night in a family room (quad room). The room was lovely - nicely decorated and bigger than expected. Beds were comfortable (super king bed and 2 singles) . Great tea/coffee station with plenty of teabags and milk. I was worried about the potential for noise from the pub, and while we could hear the bass from the music, it wasn't loud enough to stop the kids sleeping and it stopped at 11.30pm. We would definitely stay again
