Took a little longer than expected for the food to be ready but delivery was very speedy once the food was cooked - was delicious though

The ordering process was simple and effective. The only down side is that the pizza arrived barely warm 🙁

Food took over an hour to be delivered with delivery time constantly changing. When food was delivered it was stone cold.

A poorly run pizza restaurant. No organisation and customers turned away at the door even though all that was required was the used tables to be cleaned and reset. Also extremely expensive for what it is.

Not good food. Go Bath Pizza Co for actually good pizza. This is most colonised British pizza on the planet- absolute trash. Staff were amazing, atmosphere is as expected, quite nice.

Pizza express has always been one I’ve absolutely loved. However the experience I had today Is massively taking back positive thoughts I had on the place. We were visiting bath and decided to go to pizza express for lunch for there 50% deal. We were served by a older women who had a stinking and appalling attitude- we were asking her questions and she had so much attitude that after we ordered, we was so shocked that we actually cancelled the order and got up and left. Didn’t catch her name unfortunately but I wouldn’t have hesitated now looking back and asking for it as I want to take this further. Considering how old this lady was I expect a lot more optimism and experience in customer service.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and I had pre-booked as it does get extremely busy especially on a rugby weekend. Host was friendly and showed us to the table straight away. Our order was taken quickly and there wasn't a long wait for food. I'm coeliac so I needed a specific menu. This was gone through with me by the host. My food came out with a different colour pizza cutter. The noise was the only thing that I could complain about. We struggled to have a proper conversation due to it being so noisy. There was a kids party going on so that will always bring the noise level up. It was understandable being a busy Saturday afternoon. Wouldn't put me off visiting again and it didn't affect the service. Didn't use the toilet facilities so can't comment on those.

went for a evening meal here but the service was very slow ,quick to take the order ,which was garlic mushrooms to start and a margarita pizza for the mains. it was an hour before the starters arrived, and they were lukewarm at best we told,the waitress who explained that she had been telling the cooks repeatedly about the food being sent out but nothing was done ,and they were doing their best. then the pizza arrived it too was only warm and was best described as tomato flat bread as the cheese on it was sparce. we complained but this was just met with a wry smile and a comment of we've had a bad day today.overall this place is bad they prioritise the delivery drivers more than the diner's eating in the restaurant. do not sit at any tables near the entrance as the delivery driver's lean on the table's and place their bags on all the cutlery not good.

Was a very busy half term Sunday, but service was great with excellent food and a great kids eat free offer. Will be back again and again.

Small pizza express. Children eat free over half term, which is lovely. Calzone with chicken was disappointing. Far too much spinach instead and lots of cheese made it not very nice. The chicken used was either thigh or leg meat.

Pizza was great, not quite perfect but good enough for an Italian like myself to enjoy it. As we arrived, the place was empty but we followed the sign and waited to be seated, which took too long. That was mainly my partner and myself waiting for the waiters to finish chatting, even after noticing us, for a couple of minutes. Finally a waiter came to us and proceeded to take us to a terrible table, even though the place was empty, which we declined and asked to be moved to a window. As we arrived at the window table, the waiter asked if we minded not seating at the window table because it was dirty, even though it clearly was not. At this point we gave up and sat elsewhere to eat due to hunger.

Always eat at Pizza Express as their choice of pizza are better than anyone else's. My wife who doesn't normally eat pizza thoroughly enjoyed her BBQ Chicken.

We were a party of many children and Abbi who looked after us was absolutely superb. The pizza was excellent, however I must commend Abbi for her absolutely superb customer service. A lovely place to go for a children’s party. Thank you Abbi. 👍😀

Waited 20 mins just oder ended up finding someone to put it through then waited a farther 10/15 for my drink to come. Stater came out 5 mins later it took 30 minutes after I had finished my starter for my main to come walked in at 6:35 and got out at 8:10. It was the worst service I've had. Edit. I've had slow service more than once. I don't know if that is because I'm on my own. I came after a 9 hour shift. I know it can get busy but waiting 20 minutes is unacceptable. I think I will find somewhere else. Used to be a favorite place after work used to come almost every day but not anymore I know there's been a change of management but standards should be the same.

It's Pizza Express, so you know what you're going to get. However, service was very attentive about allergies, which matters a lot. Food reliaby good quality, even if paying around a fiver for a pot of slaw seems pretty stiff even by today's standards. Ground floor accommodation OK, not sure I'd fancy the basement.

I have been coming to Pizza Express Southgate for years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Menu is full of great choices, everyone can find something they like. Great for pizza lovers. Recommend it for party bookings and romantic dine for two. Manager, Josh always welcome everyone with smile and professionalism.

Ordered at 18.40 and food arrived at 21.00. Original delivery estimate was 19.20-30. Food was cold.

We were a party of four adults and three children. Two of these were ordering from the children's menus. There were then four pizzas and two salad bowls. I had to chase up the children's pizzas to keep them entertained and noticed the salad bowls had been standing on the counter for quite a while before we were served our pizzas. I was less than impressed with the standard of service as in all, I had to remind them about our food three times.

Generally we’ve had good food in the past . On this day the man doing the seating ignored us for 5min, eventually he acknowledged us, walked off and didn’t come back. There were 4 other staff members leaning around in various places doing nothing. With a big queue growing we walked away. Went to Zizzi instead and the service was so much better!

Waited 50 minutes for food and had to chase it. One party has partial deafness and the acoustics are unforgiving and echo-y. Niçoise Salad had no egg or capers or anchovies which lead to no flavour at all. The waitress was very pushy about the app. Vegan pizza, although advertising a vegan cheese alternative, had barely any cheese on it. The coated chicken was burnt at the edges and the coating in the middle was a little soggy. Food did not feel fresh. Waitress was not empathetic to our issues. For a lunch that cost £67, we would have been better going next door to sainsburies and buying 4 meal deals.

Absolutely awful experience from Southgate Pizza Express. Ordered food for collection to be ignored by several members of staff for at least 15 minutes. I am gluten intolerant so struggle to find nice places to eat and was shocked by my pizza. My gluten free Margaharita had next to no mozzarella on, it was just a base and tomato puree. My partner had a normal Margaharita and it had 2 pizza bases, indicating they aren't freshly prepared bases they're premade. The normal dough balls had not been cooked properly and the gluten free dough balls came without a gluten free butter dip. The meal came to over £50 and the quality of food was not worth that money, it was also cold even though it had not been prepared and was sat waiting to be collected. Will never ever be ordering food from here, or eating out here ever again. Staff were rude, witnessed them drop another others food on the floor and the person picked it up and put it back in the bag, food quality was poor and overall experience was disgusting.

Ordered a classic pizza but served a romana. Waiter apologised but pizza was not enjoyable. Beer in a bottle was not cold. Wouldn't recommend going on a Saturday evening as under staffed and you'll wait a long time for food!

Simply avoid. Tried to eat in here today, were sat on a table for 2 (there were 3 of us). We asked to move which eventually happened with no politeness at all. Waited for 20 minutes and nobody even took a drinks order, walked out as only had a few hours of parking and didn't want to spend it all in a pizza express!! Massively under resourced and dirty tables everywhere. Avoid and will not be back.

Lots for words! Service SO poor at our visit today. We booked in advance for 5.30pm. Myself and my two teenage children. We were waiting at the door for 10 minutes. Several staff members saw us but made no comment or a "bare with us". After getting to the table, we waited another 20 minutes to be served, and another 30 minutes after that for our pizza! Pizza was nice; shame the service let the experience down!!

Came here with my granddaughter’s as a treat (their choice) arrived early but shown to our table One of my granddaughters is veggie she asked for extras on her pizza everything came as requested Loved the way even the youngest member of our group was spoken to directly and checked that every thing was to her taste too we all felt very well looked after. We ordered Vegan options but they brought Prawns by mistake!!! Service wasn’t that excellent May b due to lack of staff!! And even with this mistake they didn’t offer any of the wavering of any penny!!! Atmosphere is really great, venue is big and comfortable and good location!!!👍🏻👍🏻

Pizza was rubbish, dough wasn't cooked, completely raw, 2 dough balls were just carelessly smashed together to form one large pizza, the bbq chicken pizza barely had any chicken, staff was nice and courteous.

Came at a really busy time, had to wait 5 mins for a table but the drinks came out quickly and the food was delicious. For how busy it was the staff were still so friendly and attentive.

Had lunch with friends in the Southgate Centre Pizza Express. The restaurant was cozy and staff was friendly. After ordering my firends got their pastas but I did not get my pizza and I had to ask about it. Well it eventyally arrived with apoligies and no charge. The pizza was OK but the service relating to my "lost" order was very good. I'd go again,

my experience was amazing. the waiter sam bundy was so good looking and attentive to our needs couldn’t of asked for a better time. leo in the kitchen was also superb with the food and cooked us up a storm. can’t recommend enough.

Brilliant service from Lauren. For a large party she handled everyone’s orders very well. She was very fast to process our orders, accommodating additional requests, always making sure our drinks were full. Above and beyond, thank you for making our visit a really pleasant one!

It was a party of 16, we had some pre-orders with amendments on the listed meal but they we weren't delivered as ordered. However we were served by Lauren, she was amazing, very attentive, helpful and accommodating. There was nothing that was too much to ask.

Didn’t have high hopes but when I came in the restaurant was very very nice the hostess was very friendly. They have a lot of different pizza Roma style and classic. I couldn’t decide in a pizza so our waiter(Aldo) suggested a pizza and I LOVED IT. Aldo was very helpful and knowledgeable and recommended some dishes. He made my experience 100x better, he knows what’s on the menu because he’s tried it himself so he was able to describe it too. Very cool atmosphere. Prices are fair considering how good the food is. The pizza dough was AMAZING and delicious, we got 2 pizzas and 2 starters and they were enough for 2 people I enjoyed every bit of the meals we had. I will definitely be coming again next time I’m in Bath hopefully Aldo will serve us again because he was the best server we had in Bath. I recommend this place if you’re craving Italian food.

Service was great friendly staff. The food was also good except from the grand chicken caesar salad as th anchovies, gran Milano cheese and Caesar dressing were missing (in the photo below u can see how bad it even looks compared to whats advertised on the website).Couldn’t eat it all was so bland worst caesar salad I've had. However doughballs, dough sticks and pizza were delicious 😋.

Saturday afternoon visit. Was quite full, but fast service and food arrived at a good pace. Great service, excellent food.

I have visited Pete express many times before however I am finding that as each year goes by the prices increase way too much. The pizzas can range between £17-£22 which frankly for a chain of this calibre is crazy. It definitely does not reflect the quality of the pizza sadly. I would much rather support an independent pizzeria.

They have a sign out front that says in big letters that their classic pizzas are £8.95 but when you get the bill it’s full price because you have to download an app, create an account and go get an offer to get that price, which is just so convenient for tourtist. Sign lies to get you in and then rip you off for a £15 pizza that tastes the same as a £5

You really can’t fault this chain. It has to be your go to on any trip for a satisfying meal. Always a pleasant experience in Pizza Express. We ate at the Theatre Royal restaurant and found it great

Not a pizza lover, had won a voucher towards a meal. Went with my family who do like pizza. In total we were 4 adults and 2 children. I had downloaded and booked via the app. We arrived about 30 minutes early, but as the place was almost empty we were seated straight away. Waitress was friendly and helpful. One of our party has an unusual problem with citrus and she was able to check with the kitchen to make sure not used in anything she ordered. Not many alternatives to pizza, haven't been for several years but thought more options last time. Didn't particularly enjoy the pasta dish I had. It was definitely not to my taste. Others enjoyed their pizzas and as we were going elsewhere for ice-cream after they boxed the children's desert to take away. It was part of the set meal they had. I was disappointed not able to use my Blue Light discount - not able to if a Bank Holiday, which it was. Or if using the app.

Came in on Friday for dinner and served by a waitress called Kat who was very attentive. It was busy but food came fairly quickly and was very tasty.

Was ignored by the waiters, waited at the entrance and no one bothered to seat us, and were ill prepared for a bank holiday, on an obvious busy day they were out of dough by 8pm.. went in twice both were terrible experiences. I think their motto is to ignore their customers.

I always take my boys here when we're out and about in Bath. It's always a quick and friendly service and the boys love the pizzas. I think the children's menu is really good value.

First time I had ordered from here, they had forgotton 2 of the 3 pizzas I ordered. The second time, the delivery driver never turned up and had marked the order as "Delivered".

I had the vegetarian pizza and it was hot and packed with lots of vegetables. You can have the choice of vegan or dairy cheese. It was incredibly tasty. The place is spacious and comfortable.

It was fantastic and professional service! We were a large group of 5 adults and 3 kids, one of us was seriously allergic to apples. The manager took extremely professional and caring service around that, making sure everything was safe for the concerned person. Well done, manager and your smiling team! It was an absolute 5* experience.

The restaurant accommodated our group of 15 really well on a busy Saturday, even though most of us arrived more than 30 minutes late for the booking. Our server, Monty, deserves special mention putting up with all the chaos. We will return.

Tasteless pizza and rude service My Calzone with vegetables (new on their menu) was tasteless and without spices. Looks like they are trying to save ££ on a proper chef. The service chap forgot about us and didn’t place the order with kitchen on time so we had to wait a long time and when asked where our pizzas were he acted funny and made me regret we went there. Never again.

We had a lovely Mothers Day meal for 4 last night, naturally the restaurant was busy but very efficient and the food was great. Our waitress Maggie was very attentive and great at her job, a real asset to the restaurant.

Good service. You can always rely on this branch of pizza express to serve your favourite pizza! Family food usually arrives at the same time. Friendly staff. Always clean in the restaurant. The ladies toilets could be kept cleaner though.

Freezing cold waited over an hour

We were looking forward to our meal before a show at the Forum, after waiting about 25 minutes for our food, we were disappointed that it was cold /luke warm, we returned our pizza and pasta, and it came back after a few minutes only very slightly warmer, we returned it again and it came back still not hot enough ! We were running out of time to return it again, so just had to eat it, the waiter was very nice and took the price off the pasta dish, but I’d rather have paid the full price and enjoyed my meal, we had been looking forward to a dessert but were reluctant to spend even more money and be disappointed, at one point the chef served food to an adjoining table, so the kitchen must have been in chaos, such a shame as we were really looking forward to eating at Pizza Express, we will think twice before booking again

Been a while since we visited a Pizza Express and initial impressions were good. We arrived a few minutes early for a booked table and were quickly checked in on the system and shown to our table and in fact offered a choice of a nicer table if we preferred. Our order was taken after a few minutes and we ordered our drinks, starters and main course pizzas. Drinks arrived and then the starters and pizzas all arrived at the same time. When we said we wanted the starters and then the pizzas in a short while we were told “the ticket says they are all together”. The server reluctantly took the pizzas away and returned with them a few minutes later (we had finished our starters but nothing had been cleared) and it soon became obvious that the same pizzas had just been kept warm and therefore were dry. Not something that was immediately obvious. Not the best. Greeter and main server were very pleasant but system fell over somewhere.

Very cosy store, good music. Staff are amazing and pizza is awesome as usual. Would recommend the American Hot . Although please have a look at the men’s bathroom. Water is very cold and the drier blows cold . But other than that. Nothing much !

They have two branches. This branch has a good style and their service as well. The second branch has a racist manager. The pizza is very good. The calamari is delicious and crunchy and the mushrooms are also delicious. Ask several times, the chicken is halal, not always, so check with the service provider. The prices are average.

We had a lovely lunchtime meal, the service from the host and Sharon, who served us, was fantastic. Food came quickly and was great, it's somewhere we'll come back to when thinking for a meal out in Bath. Super friendly, lovely atmosphere, definitely recommend!

Having been to the Theatre, we popped in for dinner. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious We were escorted to our table and asked if the music was not too loud for us. The waitress was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The manager checked that everything was in order. All in all, we had exceptional and friendly service and would definitely visit again

I ordered food from pizza express though uber eats and because the driver had to cancel the order they pizza express didn't give me my money back and trying to tell me that it automatically goes back to my account, I checked my bank account and transactios and it says that they charged me. It's ridiculous.

We were here in a large group for a work Christmas do. I'm sure everyone is trying to do their best but... we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and then sat for 45 minutes with just glasses of water and no drinks. We could see a wine fridge but were told the wine had to chill first and was coming from downstairs. We were way past caring if it was chilled. They didn't have enough glasses and we had to go down and get some brandy glasses for our wine. When the food came it was delicious but 3 of our party got their pizzas 10 minutes after everyone else. There just weren't enough staff on to serve three large groups upstairs and all the downstairs customers. When we asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill a senior waitress came and argued with us, asking us why and explaining that they would lose their tips. No sense of the customer being right.

It was great! Our server Morgan gave us the childs menu which i thoroughly enjoyed, drawing the snowglobe was my personal favourite part. Unfortunately, there was a pitiful amount of doughballs, with only 4 in a portion.

10/10. Morgan had an excellent haircut which really put the dining experience over the top. Only four dough balls though.

The service was brilliant, with a wonderful waitress called Katrina. She gave personal attention and attended to us well . I would definitely go there again. The food was good, got well presented and came quickly after the order. Katrina very kindly went out of her way to charge my phone which I needed for tickets for our next destination. It certainly makes a difference to be in the receiving end of going the extra mile! Thank you!

Came here for my sons birthday yesterday, lovely friendly staff, they even offered to turn music down as my son has autism and doesn't like loud sounds. Lovely food and atmosphere. Will definitely return again

Possibly the worst service ive ever recieved. The man with the mohawk didnt make eye contact with us once while serving us. Seemingly thinking of us as not worthy for it? So strange. Will not be coming back here again
