Mega Bite in Bath and North East Somerset

When I first moved to bath I’d order megabite all the time but recently I’ve had a few bad orders but tonight was the last straw. Took an hour to come, all the chicken was pink through, I won’t order from here again I feel sick already from eating from here. I don’t know what’s happened to this place but I’d expect a refund for what I’ve received tonight.

I keep forgetting that this take away has a TERRIBLE reputation..... that's the second time now I've ordered from them via Just Eat.... and the order has been refused. Just don't bother.. go elsewhere.

The food is disgusting as well as the staff over the phone. curry sauce is solid, pizza undercooked, hardly any chips on the box. The state of it is embarrassing. When calling the so called restaurant to complain the man called me thick. appalling. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Horrendous! We received our order nearly 1 hour late and got it wrong. They didn't contact us to tell us that it was here and they also left some of our order out of it , for the price we paid we got near to no food and everything was soggy and greasy. 2x lots of jumbo sausage and chips came to £7 and we received about 10 chips each- also when we rang back we were called 'thick' for asking for a refund on a £30 order.

Unfortunately they got the order wrong 2 nights in a row. It wasn't enjoyed but cost over £50. No chances left

Maybe I just don't like kebab. I'd been driving for 3hours picking on bits of junkfood & I being dark I'd be hungry enough to eat anything, but I'm afraid I felt like I was eating horse meat so I threw away at least half of it. However, my son didn't have any issues with it and ate it all up. It was probably fine - I haven't had a kebab in years

Oh wow I have not ever had a quality kebab like this before.. the meat is just super, nice fresh salad.. the owner takes pride which shows !

Promised kids a takeout,paid online,Waited over two hours,nothing arrived,kids feel asleep hungry,money gone no food, I don’t recommend this place

Absolutely avoid. Staff thought I was someone else and ushered me out the door. Only came to visit for the weekend and have never been there before. One of the staff yelled expletives at me and my girlfriend. Absolutely awful. Never going back. I would suggest everyone avoid.

As visitors to Bath on a Hen do, we were craving some food after a dance. I was attracted to the 5 star food hygiene rating, and could see that the rating was deserved. The owner was helpful and had a great sense of humour. The kebabs were exactly what we needed to end the night. Would go back again.

Ordered large mix kebab and recieved wrong order phoned them up to correct the order and they sent mix kebab with no pitta bread and small portion instead of large and charged me extra 6 pounds, bang out of order!

Never would we EVER order from this toxic place. When trying to communicate website issues to their phone girl, she tried to talk down and belittle us and tried to insinuate we were too basic to use their dodgy website. She clearly doesn't know about customer service and even tried to argue with us when we were trying to add more to our order, as if our custom was below her... on the phone... guessing she isn't the owner. Disgustingly rude. Demanded a refund immediately. We used to order from them regularly out of ease but the disgusting woman on the phone with no customer support skills who should quite frankly be fired means that the 6 neighbours over will no longer use MegaBites and we will translate this to everyone in our area when asked "Wheres good for pizza" the owners need to rethink her position because if the service is that disgusting, what does it reflect on the food? And I work in PR, I know what I'm talking about. Bye & Sharing!

Searched this place out and it’s reviews very mixed. We walked from Bath centre pleasant evening stroll on a Sunday as arrived in the city not knowing the area or its restaurants. Both of us are carnivores and a lot of restaurants don’t know how to cater for our needs so looked for a kebab place on takeaway. Was not disappointed even after a 10-15 mins wait as both the doner and lamb shish was cooked fresh. Meat very tasty and absolutely no heartburn or gut issues so great result all round. Chap who served us very friendly and welcoming.

Don’t get delivery, TAKEAWAY! I’ve ordered for delivery a from these guys a couple of times before and instead of a wrap was given a box of loose, lukewarm meat. So that’s why only 3 stars. HOWEVER! Tonight I decided to take one last punt on their food because I really wanted shawarma, so I decided to walk to the store and get it myself. Made my order and was told cash only so I walked to the nearby Morrison’s and got the cash. When I got back he couldn’t give exact change so gave me a pound off, saying he’d add it to my next order (which is fair enough), and immediately packed and handed me my food in a flash. And this time not one was it an actual WRAP, but it was hot, and tasted like all of my taste buds were climaxing simultaneously. Next time I’m just going to tell them to keep the change, it was that good. But yes, a word of caution - TAKEAWAY NOT DELIVERY!

If I could give 0 star I would. I placed my order and after waiting for 58 minutes, I got a text to say that my order was cancelled and I haven't been able to get through to them since. So now its late and I've got no food. I can't go out as I'm on my own with a child who's in bed. Absolute idiots!

Ordered 2 items and when i realised i made a mistake not even 2 minutes after we ordered, i rang up and was told it was done and i couldn’t change it. the food was disgusting and the chilli sauce was like spicy ketchup.

Completely and utterly rude people! Been a customer for years and used to find them fantastic until recently when they changed hands. I ordered from them a few weeks ago, the delivery guy couldn’t find my address and rather than tell me that, he was absolutely rude for no reason. I stood in the freezing cold waiting for him and when he did finally turn up, there was no apology. Instead, he huffed about the fact that he had to give £5 change. Tonight I went to reorder from them and they REFUSED to deliver to me because apparently I was rude last time and they tried to claim I kept swearing at them too!! I tried to explain it was the driver not me but they wouldn’t have any of it. My partner then tried on his phone and had the same response. He told them he had been a customer for 25+ years and we were even prepared to show our key worker badges. They still refused and were very rude. Absolutely disgraceful. Highly advise avoiding their company. The old owners would be ashamed to hear what has happened.

Good value. Decent quality. Loved the mixed kebab for 2.comes in a metal tray & delivered hot ready to be filled as you like it.

Absolutely abysmal customer service - I've genuinely never experienced anything like it. I've ordered from here many times before, the only annoyance being that their delivery times could vary wildly from 30 minutes to 1 and a half hours. Ordered earlier tonight, waited 1 hour, then 2 hours. Nothing. Was pretty annoyed but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as I'd had deliveries from them arrive 1 and a half hours late before. It was a Saturday night - I thought they were busy. So I call up the store after 2 hours and let them know that I hadn't received my order. They call me back shortly and insist that it had been delivered. I politely tell them again that I had not received anything. I can hear the delivery driver in the background of the phone call - who supposedly was claiming to the manager that they had properly delivered my food - saying that I'd ordered "over 2 hours ago" and it had been delivered in the usual 45 minutes. The manager then interrogates me as to why I waited so long to call them, and I reply by telling them I had waited almost this long before and didn't think much of it. He then gets audibly angry at me, claiming I had actually received my food and was just trying to scam them out of more. At this point I realised I wasn't going to get my food or a refund, so I give up and just let them end the call. I was polite throughout and kept telling them again and again that I did not in fact receive my order - but they weren't having it. A part of me wonders what the hell happened? Did they deliver it to the wrong house? Did they just give up and not make it at all? I have no idea. In any case I got scammed out of £20. Safe to say I won't be ordering from this place again. Shame, I really liked their food.

Had a large order placed, the payment was confirmed but delivery never arrived. Tried to call multiple times for them to hang up or pick up and say that its on its way. Nothing arrived and the money had been taken out. Avoid this scummy place at all costs.

I would leave a review on the food except I never received my £30 order. I placed my order at 1:30 am after a few drinks (drunken kebab cravings) and was told it was a1 hour wait which I was fine with but after an hour and still no sign of the food. At 2:45 am I proceeded to ring up and check, the man on the phone read back my order to me and assured me it was on its way out to me...Despite having given up, I stayed up until 4am worried that the delivery driver would knock...they didn’t. I never did received my order.

They never delivered my food cos they said they couldn't find my address then when I called to tell them where it was he started swearing and shouting at me. I never received my food and he refused to give me a refund

Awful AWFUL SERVICE, DO NOT GO HERE. Never delivered my food, when I called to ask where the food was they said they could not find my address. I offered to explain and asked if the food would arrive. They started shouting and swearing at me saying how rude I was and said they would not deliver my food because of how rude I was being and then I asked for a refund and he refused. So I never got the food or a refund

Was trying to order food over the phone. Ended up having the phone put down on me because my house doesn't have a number... I told him my full address, Its not my fault I don't have a house number. Don't be rude to me.

Very good chicken shish wrap and double lamb shish! Crispy potatoe wedges. Kebabs very good. Very soft and tender. I would recommend!

When I first ordered from here, I had no problems, the food was alright. Second time, full of problems. There was hair in the chicken, not just one or two, but a whole set of hair. Was the cook shaving his head over the chicken? Very disgusting. I was very disappointed. Will not be ordering from here again!

Food is amazing, delivery is fast and the staff is very friendly. Can’t complain anything . We buy from them almost every week and didn’t had any issues.

We ordered on line and when it arrived the order was wrong. We phoned up The restaurant to query the order, due to the difference in the language barrier the conversation got heated, the gentleman in question kept talking over me and generally quiet obnoxious, we generally don’t have any issues with them but when you do it’s sloped shouldered.

Amazing food, excellent service, always fresh and tasty would highly recommend, without a doubt best kebab in bath. By a long way!

As my usual kebab shop had shut down I decided to go here as quite easy to park on main road. I'd aways looked down my well educated nose a mega bite as a very low brow establishment but actually I was pleasantly surprised. Tender meat and fresh salad with a fiery chilli sauce. As good a kebab as I'd ever had.

I am not happy at all with megabite. I ordered food for me and my daughter and it was stone cold.

Food was as expected, nothing fancy but filled a hole 😉 unfortunately the delivery driver couldn’t quite make it to my door, and “apparently” was calling me over and over on the phone. After not being able to get through he finally got out his car and managed to knock on my door. CONGRATULATIONS He then tried to have a go at me saying that I should of come to his car to get it rather than him bringing it to me...? Delivery driver ? Food still all warm and was not to bad

Waiting for food 3hours is ridiculous!! I needed call four times restaurant. In the end even when I paid by account before I needed go for cash, because my order been cancelled and I needed pay cash. Never again!!! Just loosing time!

Had food delivered. Pizza was average, can of drink wasn't cold and curry "sauce" is false advertising. It had the same consistency as mash potato. Not nice.

Super cheap and tasty food yet again, if only I could get food this good in the city for a tenner. Obviously not gourmet stuff, but it came quickly and was very good. Chicken was sensational.

So i have ordered and received burnt food with no taste. It has been replaced but on the phone i was told that the food was cooked well. No refund was offered which was disappointing because i went out so at the end when they have sent me the new order i had to go out. See the pictures and tell me if that is not burned !! May be change your oil more often or invest in oil filtering machine !!

I had takeaway dinner from this place and I was really satisfied. I had pork,lamp and pizza. Everything was really nice! It might be a gebab ship but they do great pizzas too.

He sido cliente desde hace algunos años. He usado la entrega en numerosas ocasiones y me he quedado callado por algunas ahora, pero estoy harto de que me entreguen lo que quieren que coma. Mi esposa no puede comer ciertos artículos que esto no hace. No les moleste que envíen lo que creen que deberíamos comer. No creo que vuelva a usar mega bites. Es una pena, especialmente en este mercado muy reducido, ¿no presta atención a los detalles? O tal vez, simplemente no les importa, no les impresiona, ya que no es de esperar que usted deba pararse sobre el equipo que prepara su comida.

First time I have used Mega Bites takeaway. Came on time, really tasty, very friendly delivery driver. Magherita pizza was gorgeous.

I am new in bath and this is one of the best kebab shop so far, PIZZA DOUGH tastes amazingly fresh !! Kebabs, salad’s looks/tastes wonderdull, staff is friendly and the most important thing is the chef’s know what their doing, i would highly recommend this place to everyone especially for family. Just one problem delivery comes a bit late but thats because they are busy every day of the week so your better of ordering 1 hour before

Ordered a straight forward Margherita pizza for me and my partner to share, both of us ended up with food poisoning. No meat etc on the pizza, so can only put it down to poor hygiene practice in the kitchen. Absolutely disgusting, avoid like the plague!

Food came early. it was warm and fresh. Pizza was one of the best. well stuffed toppings. chicken was fresh and wings were excellent. keep up the standard and will definitely order again!

Megabite has been my local take-away shop for years now, it’s very rare that they get it wrong, they have a team of delivery drivers, great food, especially chicken and donner wrap, chips is better but they are perfectly fine anyway. A must try for anyone in the area, especially students. And it’s open til after 3am, which is the cherry on top

I love Megabite and use them about once a week now. I usually get a small mexican pizza and some wine. As I am quite often awake late into the night, this place is excellent because it will deliver me food and booze until 3am. Quick service, drivers very nice, not had anything bad yet. Their pizzas are really tasty and good value, I much prefer them to any of the big pizza chains.

Decent food & nice staff but EXTREMELY busy. Order an hour or two in advance to avoid disappointment.

Comida ordenada anoche para la familia con un costo de 34. 70. La comida llegó tarde 2 horas después de que ordené. Para mi sorpresa la comida estaba fría y quemada. Chips quemados y una de mis pizzas era tan malo que era negro. Nunca volverá a ordenar de Mega Bites.

Food is ok but the delivery service is always late. My last 3 orders has been delayed 40minutes! Unacceptable.

All i ordered was so cheesy chips and the cheese wasn't even melted it was still cubed up. I didnt pay £3.80 for half a tray of chips and cubed unmelted cheese. Not a happy customer will not be using again.

Fish and scampi were overcooked, but cold on delivery. Other food only just warm Chips were also cold, too expensive for a poor service

Sensational pizzas, great kebabs and fried chicken, delivered to your door with booze until 3am, great service and friendly staff.

Th chicken kebab was juicy and somewhat spicy, exactly what the doctor ordered at 2.30am. The gentleman who served me cousin was from Basildon so we had that in common too.

Ordered a lamb kebab wrap, was dry, nearly cold, can tell the meat has been cooked over and over again as there were crusty bits all in it. The wrap was hard! Early next morning I had diorreha and hot sweats, felt sick, felt absolutely terrible, must have had food poisoning! Never eating there again!! Wouldn’t even give it 1 star

Eating the food from this joint felt like the equivalent of ingesting the phrase "suck your mum" 10/10 would not eat here again

Unhelpful disrespectful manager answered the phone and refused to do our original order no manners totally unprofessional just lost thereself s a very loyal customer!

I had takeaway falafel and it was pretty good. There was a lot of food for the amount of money. Someone else I was eating with had a kebab which wasn't as nice. Also, if you call ahead and go to collect, please note they only take cash.
