Have been coming here for years with my partners parents, food has always been excellent but sadly when we visited in December the food was terrible and the service slow which was understandable as they were packed, it may have been better to not have so many covers. My scallops were cold and swimming on a bed of peas which were not hot, worst scallops I have ever had, also looking at the reviews i'm not the only one. The chicken was dry and the potatoes were cold and almost inedible. The fish dish was also dry and tasteless, all in all a terrible meal and if it hadn't been for my Mother in Law I would have sent it all back. My partners steak was excellent though and our waiter was lovely. I have since been offered a bottle of Crement when we next visit, won't be taking that offer up!
If you love steak, and great service, then it's hard to find better. Our party of 6 all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was friendly and prompt.
Couple that with some fair priced wine and you have the markings of a great evening.
Can't fault it.
Had a quick stop for some dinner on the way home. As is Sunday a carvary was on the menu which seemed great.
However, food was bland. The gravy is out on for you on the plate before you are allowed to put your vegetables on.
I asked politely if I could have it on after my vegetables had been put on my plate and was swiftly told I could but would have to go to the back of the queue again!
Why is it they can't offer small just of gravy if it's such an inconvenience to have him put it on after?
To be honest it's like water with crumbs of meat in so not worth the drama anyway.
I have eaten many carvery's in the local area and this is by far the worse i've had by far.
The waitress was really helpful with my extremely indecisive friend. The food and drink were also excellent. It was very quiet when we went (12:30 Sunday)

Food was nice, if overpriced. Wasn't able to finish my £29.95 main course. Asked if I could have a box to take it home, which is something I have done before. They no longer offer boxes, but cardboard gift bags for £1. Not really helpful for a meal with a sauce. Our waiter was excellent but the awful, loud, tinny music spoilt the atmosphere.
The service is fantastic! The staff are so friendly and a pleasure to be around. But the food... I don't think I've ever eaten something so perfectly cooked! It was perfect in every way possible! - Chunky chips were crispy and fluffy, bacon and sausages were succulent and juicy.
I cannot rate this place high enough!
∞/10. Absolutely divine!
My sister and I had the Cauliflower Shawarma Flatbread which was new to the menu. As we don’t eat meat this was a great veggie alternative. It was really delicious, bursting with lots of amazing flavours. We would definitely have that again next time! The staff were really friendly too and we sent our compliments to the chef. Bravo Boston Tea Party for a great lunch experience! Pippa & Sally
ordered £120 meal at 17:21 via ubereats, due at 18:20, then delayed and delayed and delayed until cancelled at 19:30. 2 hours waiting for food and then a cancelled order. what a joke
Fabulous Sunday lunch, very tasty pork and beef, and very generous portions. Service was excellent and we were thoroughly well looked after by Phil. Highly recommend.
