Delivery was very disappointing. 1/3 to 1/2 less quantity of food than they serve in the restaurant dining-in. Less than half the meat they normally serve in-house (approx 50g). Curry was mostly liquid with so much leftover since there was so little veg and meat, ended up pouring it out. I was quite surprised, actually, and I didn't expect that when I chose delivery from them. I do recommend eating in, good food and good portions when you're face to face, but NOT getting delivery from them.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with a view of the sea. It has a friendly feel with nearly all the staff saying hello and smiling. Everyone was keen to answer any queries we had. The bedroom was spacious and clean with a large balcony and chairs to sit and take in the view. The spa facilities are very good, we both had a massage which was expertly done. We enjoyed the outdoor pool, it has plenty of sun loungers and a nice bar. The food in both the restaurant and the pub was excellent, we will definitely visit again.

I have visited the restaurant, caffe/deli and ‘take away’ several times. Last night I visited the ‘take away’ trailer ordering a small cod and chips. On returning to the car to eat a good looking portion of ‘nesting ’ fish I detected a chemical taint to the fish and a whiff of what seemed to be ammonia. I returned to the trailer and expressed my disappointment to the chef who said that is what cod smelled liked. Well not the cod I eat. No refund was forthcoming so I asked if there was a bin and deposited the remainder in the bin. I can however report that 18 hours later I suffered no ill effect.

We visited on Sunday with family we’ve not seen in a long time, as you can imagine we were looking forward to it and had heard some great reviews! Sadly it was not what we were hoping….. A beautiful venue with table service, however the table service did not extend to the drinks. Food was allowed to be ordered at the table only but drinks orders were refused and we were sent to the bar. Ordering our food was most difficult as we had 1 menu between 5 of us, when asking a waitress if we could have some more she proceeded to say no because we’re saving costs on printing, she then decided we could borrow one from the neighbouring table providing it was put back before the guests arrived. We then asked if it would possible to get an extra Yorkshire pudding as not all of the roasts come with them, we were most happy to pay extra however the server told us she would ask the kitchen but can’t guarantee anything, and then said you will know when your plate arrives as to whether you can have one, followed by I’ve done too many steps today so I’m telling you I can’t guarantee it now as she clearly didn’t not want to return. Most disappointed in our visit, we will not be returning and we will of course be sharing our experience with others who will no doubt not wish to visit your establishment either.

Good chefs are hard to come by and unfortunately, the Crafty Egg has this very issue. We were so disappointed. First thing to say is the service was very friendly, efficient and that we couldn’t really fault. With regards to the food, I don’t really know where to begin because there was nothing good about it whatsoever. I ordered the Chorizo potato hash. The menu description was “Roasted potatoes and kale with gochujang chilli relish, pickled cucumber, lime crème fraiche, fried egg, fresh herbs and sesame seeds. It seemed really promising when the waitress asked how I would like my egg cooked. I asked for over easy. The egg was extremely well done and not over easy. Over easy should still have a runny yolk and once flipped, should just literally have a flash in the pan to just quickly finish cooking the white. The potatoes were certainly not roasted. They had no colour or texture of what a roasted potato should be and just tossed through some sort of sauce which I’m assuming was the gochujang chilli relish. They were soggy and lacked flavour. The lime crème fraiche was very bland and the pickled cucumber just tasted on pure vinegar. No pickling spices were used as far as I could taste. The most disappointing part was the chef doesn’t use the two most important ingredients in the kitchen. That’s salt and pepper. My partner’s food was just as disappointing but to be honest, there’s no point in going through it because I’ve just arrived home and I’m starving as we both left the majority of our food. This place has some serious issues. The dining area needs a bloody good clean and the chefs need some basic training. I’ve been a Chef for over 40 years and we were so looking forward to this experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. However, The Crafty Egg has massive potential and in the right hands, it could be the go to place not just in Fishponds but Bristol itself. I really hope this is just a hiccup and at some point you can figure and iron out the issues because it could be incredible

I have never ever given the three W rating before on a review. This stands for: Walking in. Walk round. Walk out. My wife and I were given room 12 the room had a good view of the moors but that was it. The furniture was dated, the bed sloped towards the wall, and the shower had black mould on the shower tray. The whole hotel was shabby not only on the outside but also on the inside, the carpets are one step away from being thread bare, it does really needs revamping all over. If you read the reviews on this hotel they seem to recommend it and say what value for money it is, I honestly believe that this is not true the people who wrote the reviews must have stayed in some rubbish hotels prior to staying here. I would not recommend this hotel.

Charming wee place by the stream that flows down to the harbour. Well, Polperro is a charming wee place in itself. Probably heaving in high season. We sat outside on the terrace. Charming wee waitress came by to take our order. Bacon baguette, carrot and coriander soup, cheese ploughman's. Mine was the ploughman's lunch, served with a selection of cheese rather than the usual chunk of cheddar.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed with a dining experience. This restaurant is absolutely tiny on the left side, and on arrival we were shoved up almost sitting with a table of two. They could hear everything we were saying and vice versa. Super uncomfortable. This place was full of locals who appeared to know the owner and staff. The waiters were rude, leaning over people to put stuff on the table. On two occasions staff touched my son on the shoulder which oversteps the mark in personal space. The food itself was super bland and tasteless. We left a lot of it. The only good things were the peshwari naan and the cobra, everything else was awful. There was a random black thing in my son’s chips. I could’ve chosen a million better places to eat and I would not recommend this place to anyone with tastebuds. If you want bland frozen samosas, tomato soup flavoured base camp curry, vile chicken tuk tuk and absolutely tasteless shashlik, this is the place for you.
