The best restaurants in South West

We came for lunch today and all four of us in the party enjoyed everything we had - we have been on numerous occasions and will continue to do so. Food was wonderful and the service was really good, very attentive but not ‘in your face’. Thoroughly recommend it.

Wonderful place for drinks, going back for dinner tomorrow, by far the best Espresso Martini I have ever had and a wonderful setting 😀🍸🍺

Called in for breakfast earlier in the week. We had a really great cooked to order breakfast, with good sized portions and nice fresh produce. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice place in which to eat. Even took cakes away for later. Was most certainly the best breakfast we had during our stay in Bournemouth.

Came here as I’d read some great reviews and it looks really inviting from the outside. Staff were friendly. Sadly the food was very lacking in taste and flavour and I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants living in London. My curry was bland and tasted like a jar of curry sauce. The onion bhajis and the garlic nan were the only tasty part. We ordered a mixed grill which came out as just tandoori chicken which was fine but quite dry. Overall just really disappointed. I hope it was just a bad night and it would be better next time but unsure!

I compete with my dogs all around the country . So last week my wife and I found this lovely place !! Then by chance a week later we were not far from this gold mine . So we stayed again . Lovely rooms , stunning food and hospitality. Ive stayed in some nice places with poor food & visa versa . This I can say is just brilliant and more .

We called in here while we was staying in the area.They was me my partner and my cousin and her husband.My partner cousin and her husband all had fish and chips and I had fish and chips that was gluten free as I am wheat/gluten intolerance.All the fish and chips was lovely we will all be back when we are on holiday again next year.

Fabulous roast dinner, amazing friendly and happy staff. The landlords gave such a warm welcome the minute we walked in. What a fantastic chef, very tasty food. Highly recommend. Great value

Came here with our niece who lives in Bude & the service & food were excellent.. Reasonable prices & the food was definitely worth the visit. What a gem of a place , will definitely be coming here again. Mr & Mrs Millington..

Have been here for food before but it has a greater variety of food rather than just pub food when we last visited a few years ago . They were using up their food as it was nearing their winter opening times but still a good choice of food. Didn’t need to book as went when food service started. Locals and people working on the island also came later so it made it feel cosy . Very helpful & friendly staff & good food

Great Pub and fab… food. The best sausage and red onion baguettes probably on the planet from the bar menus. Main menu equally tasty - all at readable prices. Polly was a perfect host and Alex in the engine room 💕
