Wonderful place for drinks, going back for dinner tomorrow, by far the best Espresso Martini I have ever had and a wonderful setting 😀🍸🍺

This could be an amazing restaurant considering its location. But unfortunately it is dirty with sticky tables and floors. Waiting staff were non attentive and unfortunately the owners had decided to apprehend a waiter infront of us which just killed the atmosphere. Wish someone else would buy this venue and turn it around. I would definitely visit again if they cleaned the restaurant and acted more professional infront of customers

A warm welcome on arrival. Vibrant and friendly feeling. Good menu with generous portions and very reasonable. Live music too!

We came out for a family lunch for my daughter’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to celebrate. Thank you to the lakeside team!!

I’m shocked this place gets good reviews. The food was fine, not fabulous and the service was ‘ok’, they were kinda helpful but not overly enthusiastic. The worst part was how dirty it was. Sticky tables. Really dirty bar area. My shoes stuck to the floor! So sticky! The place was empty so there was no excuse not to give it all a clean. I didn’t go into the toilets… scores on the doors was a 4. I think it would be lower if visited today. Such a shame because could be a nice venue, over looking the lake. Obviously owners only interested in money and not cleaning.

We were staying at a property on Spring Lake and decided to try the Lakeside on our first evening. The food exceeded our expectations - it was fantastic. We had the fajitas and the chilli, both of which were very tasty. We enjoyed it so...

My husband and I had lunch here and it was very nice. The service was good and the food was tasty. Sadly the weather was awful so we couldn’t enjoy the view which was a real shame but just one of those things.

Yesterday we visited this restaurant as a group of 10 (table for 4 and for 6), for breakfast. We had booked the tables the previous week and were expecting to eat under the "Eat out to help out" scheme. The restaurant is registered as offering the scheme on the government website, which we checked last week.When I came to pay, the restaurant claimed they were not offering the scheme as they had not got their computer systems set up, nor did they promote it on their website. Despite much argument from myself, when I pointed out that had I known I would have taken out party of 10 elsewhere for breakfast. The manager was quite adamant that they could not offer 50% discount, but the maximum he would give was 20%. As there were 4 young children amongst the party, I had no choice but to accept. The manager claimed that they were not offering the scheme to anyone that had booked the previous week. As far as I am concerned this is fraudulent trading in that they promote themselves on the government website and then don't give the customer the expected discount. When it comes to claim money back from the government they may well claim 50% of my bill and pocket the difference themselves. As well as putting this review on Tripadvisor, I will also be reporting it to HMRC with their fraud hotline.

Had a lovely family gathering sitting in the garden. Very accommodating, food delicious, never left waiting for anything! Organised a birthday sparkler dessert at short notice. I had the chilli which was amazing chunks of beef instead of mince!

Habíamos visto el Lakeside Brasserie al llegar a nuestra casa, pero pensamos que íbamos al área local. Este es un lugar encantador y hemos visitado varias veces. Obviamente es popular y las mesas exteriores con vista al lago se reservan. Sin embargo, ahora hemos visitado varias veces y, incluso cuando las mesas no están reservadas, nos han hecho sentirnos incómodos por el simple hecho de pedirnos sentarse y tomar una copa durante media hora. Visitamos el día de hoy y el personal dejó en claro que era demasiado para nosotros sentarnos en la mesa a las 5. 15 hs. Que no se había reservado hasta las 7. 15 . La bienvenida poco amistosa es consistente en nuestra experiencia, y nos fuimos sin tomar bebidas y mordiscos como habíamos planeado. My family and I had dinner with a stunning view and a warm and friendly welcome by the staff. Good biers but scarse variety of food and actually its standars are closer to medium-low level pub. However the environment is warm and the venue really attractive. May be more food initiatives would result in one of the best restaurant in the Cotswould

What a lovely setting smack on the lake. Waitress was really nice and helpful, we had a lovely table outside. Food was perfect so keep up the good work Lakeside and hopefully we will be back next year.

Another excellent meal at Lakeside. The spare ribs and pizzas are all freshly cooked and served really nicely. We always have good service here, thank you.

This is a stunning location and has beautiful views from the restaurant but the food was below average we had two pizzas some onions rings and some chips the pizzas were really bland and the onion rings were soggy. The venue has such potential especially with its location but I think the menue needs a huge overhaul as it doesnt do the location or the lovely staff any justice.

A wonderful afternoon celebrating my birthday with friends. Very impressed with the extensive menu and vegetarian/vegan options. I had the most amazing coconut Dahl. Presentation was stunning, food was full of flavour and outstanding quality. Pudding was the best Banoffe Pie I have ever tasted!!! The staff were extremely efficient, friendly & tentative. We all enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon with stunning views from the restaurant which was spotlessly clean light and airy. Highly recommend The Lakeside. We all agreed we shall be returning very soon. Thank you to the amazing chef and staff for a very pleasant experience indeed.

We have eaten at Lakeside several times and the food is very good, however, today is was particularly slow service, and all restaurants take note, PLEASE serve hungry children fast and first!

Fantastic visit here. We loved the setting and the service. Food quality was stunning. I had the special which was homemade pork pie with mushroom and butter beans, it was simply delicious. Highly recommended

Brought some friends here for breakfast on a beautiful sunny Sunday. It was quite busy probably due to the sunny weather so we had a little wait but the food more than made up for it. Brilliant full English would definitely recommend.

Popped in for lunch yesterday with a group of all ages including children. Loads of choice on the menu even on a Sunday. Food was great (especially the desserts!) service fantastic and we all enjoyed the lovely setting. Back again very soon.

Really good, very accommodating as we couldn’t get a suitable reservation at our hotel nearby. Good food and good value . Ribs were lovely and chicken burger very tasty . £39 included two mains , round of drinks and tip. Staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was chilled . No matches so TV was off so that may have contributed to the relaxed night. Dog friendly so nice to see a retriever napping whilst we sipped cider and chatted about our fur brat at home . Beautiful setting so definitely planning to come back on a summers night x

Nice spot on the side of the waterskiing lake, fabulous in the summer and snuggly warm in the winter. They welcome all inc dogs. Friendly staff and the breakfast selection and menu is very good. The bacon and sausages are excellent.

We had Sunday Lunch at The Lakeside Brasserie on 27th January for the first time , while staying at our holiday lodge nearby .. A lovely warm welcome ,it was amazing value + the Roast was absolutely delicious !!! The meat was ‘melt in the mouth’ and accompanied by a wonderful selection of fresh vegetables.. we were so impressed and can’t wait for our next opportunity to visit !! Thank you all so much !!

Basándonos en críticas anteriores, fuimos para el almuerzo del domingo el 7 de octubre. La calidad de la comida era promedio aparte del queso coliflor que era muy bueno. Hay muy poco ambiente en el restaurante, que está dominado por varias pantallas de televisión grandes. No puedo entender por qué las críticas anteriores son tan buenas.

Éramos un grupo de 5 amigos, alojados en albergues cercanos. Una bienvenida encantadora, solo tuvimos que esperar a que limpiaran nuestra mesa y la prepararan para nosotros, el momento perfecto para pedir bebidas. Una gran variedad de comida en el menú, fui por la especial Piggy - Back Burger (en la foto). La ubicación impresionante, y la comida encantadora significan encantador un almuerzo muy relajado.

We visited as a group of 4 friends staying at one of the lodges on the lake by the brasserie. It was a Saturday night and fairly busy but the service was great. Great friendly staff. The food was lovely and very large portions. Would recommend one of the burgers for sure. Food and drink was reasonably priced, fab location set on the river and nice staff. All 4 of us enjoyed it and would recommend a visit. Thanks

We have had several meals and take aways from this excellent restaurant. We are staying at a lodge here in Spring Lake and have been very impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the Brasserie Staff. They are constantly accommodating and helpful. The food is excellent with truly generous portions. Delighted to bring guests here and assured of good service and excellent food.

A group of six of us went for breakfast. Negative points out of the way first- we weren't greeted very pleasantly by the owner (at least I think he's the owner) and one of the waitresses seemed to have an attitude problem which wasn't a great start. We also had to wait over 45 minutes for our food despite it being pretty quiet. However they made up for it with the food itself, we all really enjoyed it, everyone's breakfast was great. Big portions and a fair price. Also, a couple of the other waitresses were lovely (one of the younger girls who brought out our drinks and the lady with glasses who showed us to our table (sorry we didn't get your names) and it was them who made us feel welcome so thank you. Beautiful location and great to watch the watersports. Would be great on a sunny day to sit outside.

Amazing place. Found on a search for places to eat near where we are staying and booked, and what a great find. Great choice of food, friendly staff, fab portions, all while watching the water sports on the lake. Great choice for the kids too. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We were staying locally and came across the Lakeside Brasserie on Trip. It's clearly popular and has a great spot on the lake. We had a table by the window, which meant the kids could watch the water skiers.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, ondanks het feit dat we niet gereserveerd hadden werd er toch een tafel voor ons geregeld. Vlotte bediening, heerlijk gegeten. Eten is simpel maar goed.

Lovely restaurant with stunning views over the lake. We sat watching the water skiers while we ate as the sun went down. Great Vegan options as well. Make sure you book before you go as it is very popular.

The food at Lakeside did not disappoint. The menu has more vegetarian and vegan option than before. The vegan platter was so good one of the best vegan meals I’ve had. Our friends had the ribs and really enjoyed them too.

We were in South Cerney for a mini-break and stopped in mid-week for lunch. We had booked a table, but on arrival the staff couldn't find our booking and struggled to find a table for four as we had requested not to be in the direct sunlight as it was a very hot day. After the initial confusion, we were seated right by the river, where we watched a very talented water-skiier, which gave a nice atmosphere. There was a variety of different options on the menu from sandwiches and baguettes to pizza's and fajitas. The food was delicious and very fresh and high quality, we did feel for a lunch menu the food was quite pricey compared to other similar eateries in the area, however we were happy to pay this as the food was so nice. We also ordered desserts and had the banoffee pie and a white chocolate cheesecake. The portion sizes were very generous and could easily be shared between two people, which was again represented in the price. Overall we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but felt the prices were slightly higher than the average.

Booked here as we could not get into another local restaurant. Very much a 'club house' eatery/bar with a good view of the lake. Very young female waitresses, all very helpful. Quite a good menu and reasonable prices. My Burger was excellent (local butcher) but though it was advertised with 'home fries' it came with skinny french fries which got cold very quickly. The desert menu looked ok, but we thought serving ice cream in tubs from the supermarket/supplier a bit down market. At least though the price was ok.The bill, went it came, was incorrect and it took the staff 3 goes to get it right. But overall, not bad and we will return.

Maybe it is because we arrived near the end of the sitting but....this place is over staffed yet nobody really “owned” us. We waited so long to be seated that in the end we just sat at a dirty table. Then we had to go to the bar to try and order food because nobody came to take our order. We gave up on desserts because nobody came back to take our order...and the food is decidedly average, which makes it expensive for what it is. Our kids left theirs as it wasn’t very palatable (skin on fries for kids? And the fish fingers did not taste good). I guess kids are fussier. Lots of rave reviews. If you want to drink beer and watch the Grand Prix then this place is for you. Terrible service; average food.

I was really keen to get the family of 6 in for a late lunch on a really busy and hot day. As ever the guys bent over backwards to make it happen.

We chose to visit Lakeside as it was on the Coeliac Society website as a venue for gluten free menus. Nothing was marked on the menu as GF and the young waitress was slightly vague when asked about the menu. We suggested she checked with the chef which she did and all was well.

Stopped by for a drink just after arriving at the Cotswold water park, sat outside on the veranda, watching people have water ski sessions. Drinks reasonably prices, staff friendly and helpful. Didn’t have anything to eat so cannot comment on menu.

We arrived with no booking on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait long for a table. The view onto the lake was lovely. There was a very relaxed atmosphere. We had nachos to start and the portion was huge. So much so we both struggled to eat the main. Food was good. Service was good. Decent value.

We've been going to the Lakeside Brasserie for years. It's in a unique spot on a waterski lake, with a fabulous view and great food. The menu is a good mix of light bites and mains and seating is either inside or on the terrace, which hangs over the lake. On a sunny day there is a definite holiday feel about the place, particularly when the waterskiing is in full swing, and they also offer donut boat rides for children so it's an ideal place for a family day out. It gets busy, particularly at weekends, so it's worth booking a table. Do not confuse the Lakeside with the Old Boat House, which is part of the De Vere Hotel nearby - also a lakeside location, but without the atmosphere or the good food!

For the past 17 years the Lakeside Brasserie on Station Road, South Cerney, has always been our 'go to' place with friends and family for informal dining because you can always guarantee a great meal whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. it is child friendly and nothing is too much trouble - keep it up guys!! - oh and the Guinness is the best around.

Regularly visit this great and fun place. Food is exceptional, fajitas to die for. Best Sunday lunch in the area. Super relaxed and lovely people. You can sit on the terrace in the sun by the lake. Not your regular place! More than a bit special. Highly recommend.

It’s like being on holiday! Glass of wine, gorgeous food and watching the wake boarding. We are locals and love coming here for lunch. Friendly staff and excellent service.

As always a fab lunch in a lovely and friendly location. Thoroughly recommended. Great place to eat any time of year especially in spring and summer when you can sit on the terrace and watch the water skiing.

Lovely hotel restaurant. Great service especially Charlotte. The garlic mushroom and soup starters were good. The de vere burger was great. My husband had the Piri Piri chicken, it was a bit dry and presentation could be improved.

We had a good quality meal. Plenty of choice. There was a vegan menu which had good choice of food. The restaurant overlooks a lake so view outside is very pleasant. The restaurant is a separate area by a sports bar. This wasn't a problem. The waitresses were very attentive.

We own a couple of holiday homes in the area and always love going to The Brasserie for breakfast when we stay and will always recommend it to our guests.

The food is of good quality, well-presented and plentiful. The only thing lacking (on a cold winter's evening), is atmosphere, as it resembles a sports bar. I imagine it would be a different and better experience on a summer's evening, with views over the lake.

Came here for dinner as group of 4 on 30th Dec and were surprised how quiet it was. It was terrible weather so that probably put people off going out.

Place doesn't look to appealing from outside, but the setting on the lake is great, inside the environment is warm, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was consistently good. I would recommend visiting this place.

Had a great mid afternoon meal over looking the ski lake. Great customer service, & good food at a reasonable price. Party of eight of us & normally service levels drop when numbers increase, not the case here. Great for families & children too

Cosy and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and good service. I went at lunchtime when food is served from 12-2.30pm. The menu is quite extensive, offering sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes etc. and a specials board. I had jacket potato with beans and salad. My friend had a chicken burger. We finished with a latte each. All good. Would definitely go back as certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

It's a perfect place to enjoy the lake view and have a good food. We did miss the good old fish&chips;, which unfortunately is not in the menu. But the rest of the menu is very good, generous portion and if you lucky enough to have anyone in your group to have the tartar sauce (which comes with the scampi), that sauce it to die for! Service is excellent. Will definitely come back.
