Great Pub and fab… food. The best sausage and red onion baguettes probably on the planet from the bar menus. Main menu equally tasty - all at readable prices. Polly was a perfect host and Alex in the engine room 💕

We were visiting the area and happened to stumble across this pub so we thought we would pop in. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pub itself is lovely, big, and has a great outdoor seating area with stunning views . Good drinks selection and good service. The food was reasonably priced and tasted delicious! We felt that the portions were just right and we very much enjoyed our meal and visit to this lovely pub. We would certainly recommend and we will be visiting again! 😊

This is the second time in 4 weeks that I have had Sunday roast here and both times were really really nice. On both occasions we were 4 kids and 4 adults. The staff were super accommodating and helpful. We had beef brisket and the kids had fish and chips. Nothing seemed to be too much for the waiter serving with us who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He even went off to find something for my fussy lad who wanted chocolate sauce rather than caramel which wasn't even on the menu! We shall be going again! Also to top it off they have a really gorgeous sunny beer garden with fabulous valley views.

Easter Saturday Lunch and we had a stupendous meal at the Lamb from 12.30 onwards. The eight of us had a long table each and my wife and I arrived early. We were promptly served and as I was not driving had 4 different beers: Old ale, porter, best bitter and Armada ale. My main course was a superbly tasty lamb burger. It was lovely lunch for the eight of us and the bill with service charge came to £157 or roughy £20 each. Thank you.

A friendly pub with a warm welcome, good food and atmosphere The bar on one side full of friendly locals and the restaurant/bar on the other for dining. I had the fish and chips, it was outstanding, the fish was fresh with a light crispy coating (not thick stogy batter which one often gets) and the chips again were light and crispy (not triple cooked soggy and full of fat) peas were great too. My husband enjoyed the steak and ale pie. Will definitely visit again soon.

Lovely pub. Very welcoming and helpful staff. We were here for a snack and drinks. We had the bar snacks and drinks which we all nice. The weather was awful and we had walked there and couldn’t get hold of a taxi. The staff were really helpful in trying to get us another taxi and Chris the bar manager gave us a lift in the end to save us getting soaked. We really appreciated his kindness.

Such a shame - wonderful location but sadly the food was terrible, served fish and chips and the fish had definitely seen better days. None of us could eat it. Slow service and not offered another drink or puddings. They did knock it off the bill as an apology but we definitely won’t be returning.

What a shame! I had such high hopes about lunch with a dear friend in a pub in a beautiful setting on a fabulously sunny day! I was greatly disappointed - fish finger and tartare sandwiches with chips and salad - all OK, if a little over priced - a brown bap - not a sandwich. Very, very mediocre as the bread was dry and the final bite, on inspection, had spots of green mould. It was bought and paid for and almost all eaten when it was noticed. I told the barman who said he would tell the kitchen - and that was it! Sadly, nobody else apologised or offered any reassurance or any suggestion of reimbursement. I shall not be returning. There are many other fabulous pubs with excellent food around Stroud - this isn’t one of them! If you are looking for good food at reasonable prices in a lovely setting, I suggest you look elsewhere!

We recently had a meal here with our 6 and 4 year old. After our main meal, our son’s tooth came out and he was very distressed. However, our fantastic waitress Ellie came to his rescue and saved the day by asking if ice cream would help with the pain. He rapidly recovered and it allowed us to stay for dessert instead of rushing off home! Thanks Ellie! We didn’t have cash to leave a tip but please know how much we appreciated your brilliant service. I should also mention that the food and the views were fabulous.

This pub is in a beautiful spot but its food service standards let it down. This evening’s dining experience was a case in point: there was a chipped water glass on the table; some of the cutlery was missing; our drinks came with a selection of miss-matched wine glasses because the matching ones had just come out of the dishwasher and were too hot to use (it doesn’t take a degree in rocket science to know that running them under a cold tap would have done the trick!); when the main courses arrived it was obvious the fish dish I’d ordered had been sitting under a warmer for too long and I had to wait for it to be re-done; when the fresh version eventually arrived it too looked like it had been under a warmer for a while, and whatever was on the top didn’t look or taste like the pesto that was supposed to be there - it was more like a tasteless, mushy broccoli purée; no one asked how we found our meals; our plates weren’t cleared before the bill arrived; the bill came before we asked for it; there was no concession for the mishap with my meal; and the young lady serving us didn’t seem to have much idea about customer care. On top of this, our table seemed to be at eye level with the floor of the bar and close to the glass bottle recycling bin, and the wall area next to my chair was clearly in need of maintenance. This pub is one of my locals and I’m keen to support these. Sadly, tonight’s sort of experience wasn’t a one off.

A nice location with great views- when it's not misty- but we were generally disappointed. It was lacking atmosphere but maybe because there were few customers when we visited. Had to wait a long time to get served and got served out of turn- perhaps an error. We were told in no uncertain terms that there was no food. We might have considered eating but the prices were steep (West End levels) so it was not an issue. The main gripe was lack of welcome. When we left there was only one couple left in the premises but the barmaid didn't say anything. No "Thanks for coming, hope to see you again" so quite clearly, she won't.

We had the most amazing experience in this tiny little quaint community. It was in June and around 7:30 pm when we finally arrived. We came to Eastcombe to seek out my Grandmother's residence that she lived in while growing up called Gladstone Cottage. The people that now owned this residence were more than hospitable. They allowed us to come in and see the place showing us books about the community dating back to the early 1900's which was the timeline that my Grandmother lived there. We had reservations at the Lambs Inn for supper that night and the owners of the house had to call up to the Lambs Inn before the kitchen closed to order our meals for us. They took our orders over the phone and by the time we got up there, and were seated it wasn't even 10 minutes before we were served our food. The food was delicious and the service exceptional! This little community was absolutely lovely! I can't wait to go back one day and be able to spend more time there.

Friendly pub. Had the scampi with chips and onion rings on the side. Scampi was ok but the chips could be much better. A basic pub dish but disappointing. Maybe they are focusing on other dishes more expensive? I don't know. The onion rings were blunt and hard so lots of salt and vinegar were used. Expected from the reviews a great pub food place but such a typical pub dish should be one of their greatest in my opinion. Pinot grigio was decent and their wine list seemed very good. Prices were good, staff were very accommodating and helpful (girls at the bar could do with a smile though, especially if people are waiting) and the atmosphere was great. Parking spaces a bit on the narrow side.

Came back after last year's meal when we heard the Lamb had been taken over by new people. My mother and I went for the special starter of pan-fried scallops with butternut squash puree, black pudding crumb and pancetta shards while my friend enjoyed the feta, tomato and courgette quiche. My mother really appreciated that certain main courses come with 'smaller' options so she was able to enjoy her mushroom risotto without leaving anything on the plate. My friend raved about the steak and red wine pie, which was filled to the pastry brim. I would recommend the steak, which is the most expensive dish on the menu but does come with a full plate of food. We can also recommend the cheese board but advise that it should be shared between two people or more. The views of the valley in the late evening sunshine were spectacular and really contributed to the atmosphere.

I highly recommend the picnic feast. Blue lemonade, massive slice of home made scotch egg, hog burger, onion rings, chips my eight year old son could barely contain his excitement when he saw it all. As there was strawberries to dip in chocolate sauce, Eton mess, lemon posset, chocolate brownie, and a raspberry pudding to follow he was in heaven and struggled to try and fit it all in. Amazing value for money at £15 he declared it the best meal he’d ever had in his life. Served by the nicest bar staff in Gloucestershire.

Had Sunday Lunch with Family. Had the Roast Beef ( cooked perfectly to each of our preferences !). Plenty of meat served up ( so different from London Portions !), veggies great as well; spuds roasted nicely and fluffy inside ! Didn't have room for a pudding as Main Course filled us all. The One Vegetarian in our Party very satisfied as well. Thoroughly recommend Sunday Lunch here ( other options available as well). Nicely situated as well.

Our first but definitely not last visit to the lamb inn. We came across this country pub whilst walking and had the most delicious lunch. But what topped it off for us was the attentiveness of the staff. We were welcomed warmly and had the best dining experience by far. So much so we have booked to come back on Sunday for their famous roast.

Popped into The Lamb for lunch on a rainy afternoon. We have always enjoyed visiting the pub in the past. Today the pub was empty and we sat alone in the restaurant overlooking the fantastic view of Lypiatt and the Cotswold countryside. The only other people in the restaurant and bar area were 3 staff members sat together having a chat.

Ive only given it a 4 because we found out that the current owners are moving out and the pub is up for sale. Its a shame as the food was excellent and good value for money. Not sure how long they will be around

Before the current Landlord and Landlady took control of the worst pub in a large area it was at the top of any sensible person's list to be avoided like the PLAGUE!

We have eaten there quite a lot and it is always good. Service is friendly and helpful; food is good and portions are generous. Drink costs are not too bad either. The views from the restaurant are good, especially on a nice day.

Had lunch again at The Lamb this Friday. Lovely warm welcome and calm atmosphere, I plumped for the smaller menu cod loin and chips with a side of garlic bread and the biggest, crunchiest onion rings. My wife had the veg chilli. The food came speedily and was delicious - washed down with a lovely red Merlot and shandy. The waitress, as ever, was a credit to the place and always makes a visit to The Lamb a fantastic experience.

A rather lovely little pub tucked away in Eastcombe, near Stroud. The menu is varied and interesting enough. The service was exemplary and the food at our lunchtime visit was glorious (roulade of belly pork and steak and Doombar ale pie with thin herb suet crust). Throw in the brilliant views from the airy restaurant area and you really start to wish this could be your local. They even have live music nights and a big garden for better weather shenanigans. See you soon.

We found The Lamb by googling for walks in the area, downloaded one, drove there, dropped off the car (having booked a table) and had an excellent lunch and pint when we’d finished.

The Lamb is a very cosy pub. We had Sunday lunch after a hike in the valley on a cold morning and sat next to the fire. Food is excellent, staff are friendly and accommodating, views across the valley from the restaurant are lovely. We’ve booked to have a pre-Christmas meal with family at the weekend which should be great. Very highly recommended.

We had a gathering of 13 friends this week meeting for dinner, and we all thoroughly enjoyed catching up. The atmosphere was great and the food very good. The Lamb is situated in a picturesque village location overlooking the Toadsmoor valley. Well worth a visit. Thank you all at the Lamb.

It is unfortunate I have to write this review after being one of Tomari G’s biggest fans previously. We arrived Friday evening to extremely bad service and without half the menu available. The waitress basically ignored us for 20 minutes. When she arrived they had no Rose wine. When we went to order they had no sushi ! One of the main reasons we visit!! We then asked for Salmon Poke Bowl, this was not available, We asked what was available the answer was just Ramen. I have also had a few friends visit who expressed there concern on the lack of menu available recently. I understand that this has happened since they have been taken over. We visited when it was the previous owners and it was amazing. My advice, try somewhere different. Nagomi in Cheltenham is amazing so we will be visiting that restaurant instead In future.

Last time visited “ small Americana “ was 1.95. Then 2.10. Today……2.60. No reason despite costs…..to elevate to this price… There are unfortunately not a lot of “ good coffee shops in Dursley” could do with “Costa” or Coffee1 “ Wake up call……for these stupid prices…..if you want to “ stay open” I’d review all your prices/ ….or you soon will be “ gone” No one wants to fell “ conned” last visit for me!!

Stayed at the Frocester George and ate in the dining room whilst walking the Cotswolds way. My room was lovely- room 12, relatively recently done I think with everything you could want. Spacious room, organic tea and coffee, small fridge with fresh milk in it (yay!!!!) lovely bathroom. The meal was delicious, and the breakfast great, including a wonderful selection of fresh fruit. Would happily return for another stay if I am in the area.
