Forget the great View, forget the amazing food. It was very refreshing to actually feel wanted at this place. Not a hassle for the staff, not a stupid tourist they will never see again. Which is what we have seen a lot. The standard of service at this place exceeded any expectations I had. What a friendly team, always smiling no matter how busy they were, nothing was too much hassle.
Thank you for making us feel like our custom was appreciated ❤️
We had breakfast twice, which was amazing. The pancakes were delicious. We were only here for two days but would have come back everyday if we where staying longer.
Thank you to everyone for your efforts.

Wow, if you’re near, this is a must. The cod is battered to perfection. The servers felt our sizes were too small and so brought us some extra portions at no extra cost. We also ordered whitebait, they accidentally gave us three portions instead of two. Everything was brilliant, and the prices are also so reasonable.
If you’re wondering what to order, we felt the cod meal, which includes a side and drink. The squid tasted very fresh, so that is also recommended. The curry sauce is also a must, I’m sure the sauce is the same as the sauce used in the fish curry they offer as a main, and it is divine. Go for that too.
All in all, I’d highly recommend 🙂👍🏻
Arrived for our reservation to be told that the fryers were it hot enough and there would be a 20 minute delay before they were able to serve food. Not an issue. Then tried to seat imus in a cold terrace - we rejected their table and were found another one. One hour in and still no food. We then said we would be leaving but would pay for drink to which they tried to apply a service charge - can you believe it. We of course declined their offer to pay a service charge. Come on - if what is essential a very expensive fish and chips shop can’t get the oil hot enough they are in deep trouble. I’m a Bath resident and would never consider returning.
An amazing pub. Fantastic food - and what huge portions! Great Ales too, friendly service and the perfect venue for a stop off whether you’re staying locally, walking from here over the Moors, or just a short drive from the start of the Camel Trail. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Tried this place 2xs as reviews where outstanding and we thought it was just a bad night the first time.
Worst curry house I have ever tried.
Food was bland and what they think is indian food is definitely not what I would call indian food.
Food was warm but that was it the second lot of food we couldn't even eat as it was so bad.
Never order again I was so sick after the last order
It is great to have a pizza venue that really goes out of their way to cater for food intolerances. They have a variety of gluten free bases, which is great for me. They do try to keep everything separate, but obviously its still prepared in the same area, so your level of sensitivity may effect if you'd want to go. But they did advise they use separate utensils and trays, and wash surfaces, hands etc.
The pizza itself was great. Way too much for one person really, but too good to leave any. I ended up absolutely stuffed. The pizza looks and tasted great.
Staff were all friendly and were constantly on hand to help if needed but weren't intrusive.
Easily the only serious restaurant in Bath committed to authenticity. It takes dedication not to fall into the trap of complacency in an environment where you can probably get away with a significantly less than average effort (as is the case with most restaurants in Bath). They don't go easy on the spice either! There's no whitewashing of their dishes whatsoever. Enjoy!
Been golngs to gays creamery, past five years. Went today very disappointed. Have narrowed down display shelf in window. Not so much choice on cakes and ples. Seems to concentrate on more toys souvenirs.
Our journey home to Birmingham from Newquay led us to Al-Farid in Exeter, a restaurant we'd chosen based on its strong online reputation as a top halal establishment. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
Upon arrival, despite having a booked table, we were told to wait for our seat. While the waiting area was pleasant, it was an unexpected delay. We were eventually taken upstairs to our table.
We ordered the set menu, selection for 2, specifically asking if it would be enough for the four of us (2 adults, and boys aged 7 & 9), and were assured it would be. The starter didn’t take long to arrive, and it both looked amazing and tasted very good, giving us a genuinely pleasant surprise.
However, the main course, a mixed grill, was a massive letdown. It looked amazing like the starters, but its taste was awful. The potatoes were undercooked, and all the meat was overcooked and tasted burnt, as if it had been grilled for far too long. We hardly finished the main, marking it as a total disappointment.
We found it difficult to get a server's attention to highlight this issue. When we finally spoke to the manager, he was very apologetic, but he didn’t offer to replace the mains. Even if he had, we likely wouldn't have accepted, as the meal was taking longer than we expected. We simply asked for our Baklava, which was part of the set menu, and ordered a couple of coffees.
When the bill arrived, we were expecting a percentage would be taken off due to the inedible main course. Instead, only the coffee we ordered was taken off the bill, which was a little disappointing. The total bill was £86, a sum we felt wasn’t worth what we ate.
Regarding the restaurant's ambiance, the deco was very authentic, although it felt a tad tacky. The tables were very close together, making us feel slightly uncomfortable with other diners very close to each other.
Overall, our visit was a disappointing experience for a place that was recommended highly online. We found it to be overpriced, overhyped, and overrated.
