Lovely food, great staff and spectacular view.

Beautiful location overlooking the beach and dog friendly. One of the nicest cream teas with the best scones ever that were so soft and fluffy. I highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant and bar. Excellent varied menu. Party of 4 we shared tapas dishes every one of them delicious. Staff friendly and accommodating provided good information about the food and drinks available. Highly recommend.

Too many places rely on the view to deliver below average food and service. Not here! The Beach Cafe has it all. Spectacular setting but delivers exceptional food the youngsters in front of house are delightful and professional. Particular thanks to Amy who looked after us on Friday and Milly today (Wed). We love St Ives and the Brach Cafe was the icing on the cake (kids surfing while we hydrated!!!). Thank you!

Snacks on the beach. What's not to like!

Build your own breakfast is interesting. Eggs were very well poached. Good bacon and bread. Mushrooms, hashbrown could have been better in taste. (Still, well presented) the sausage was tasty. They kept the doors open to operate more efficiently, however it is the 3rd of February and the cold breeze kept coming in. The dish became cold quickly. The pancackes with banana, strawberry etc were good looking and very tasty. Cappuccino is average, the tea idk, honestly I would say also average. The view is amazing. They asked immediately what we wanted to drink. Besides the loud noise the breakfast was good. Would come back, the price is on the higher range.

Just back from weekend in St Ives. Visited the cafe twice for breakfast after a recommendation. Food and service brilliant and the location overlooking the beach would be hard to beat. Decent value for money too. Best breakfast for quite a while. Wished we lived closer!

Incredibly executed food - 'simple tapas' - were turned into a firework of flavors, complemented by an amazing view and very attentive service.

We were fortunate to get a table on New Year's Eve for lunch in this perfect spot to dine. I had the hake, prawn and mussel bouillabaisse and my wife had the chick pea dahl. Both were absolutely delicious. Staff were very well organised and attentive. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Lovely food and service was excellent. Two minor drawbacks, firstly unfortunately the dog area is open to the elements a bit and second service charge added to bill without any notification. I actually offered the waitress a tip as a way of saying thank you, kindly she informed me of the charge I had already paid. I do have to say we ate all week in St Ives and this was by far the best food we had! so all in all worth every penny and I definitely will be going back.

Great location, super nice staff but the coffee (flat white) is weak and disappointing. (On two occasions).

Don't visit with dogs on winday days as only dog friendly in covered outside area which was closed.

What an amazing setting to eat. The food was fantastic and i highly recommend a visit. Tapas was superb and as you can see from the pic, the dessert was a delight.

Returned after a 9 year break but still excellent. Yes, the location is stunning, but 3 things made the experience outstanding. 1. Attentive staff. 2. Then swift service and 3. The Tapas was consistently delicious. I recommend the chips with Aioli, but we had scallops, squid, hummus, and halloumi. The organic sicilian white was best value. If you aren't full, a second plate of the chips does it. Overall, it was one of the best in St. Ives against tough competition.

Dog people be WARNED- you may sit down and they may kick you out if they deem there’s “too many dogs in” so you cannot stay (with your two small dogs) we got kicked out as there were too many dogs already in a “dog friendly” place

Definitely the best meal we had in St Ives. The food was delicious, so so good as was the wine. Staff were friendly and attentive and the setting is just brilliant. Would highly recommend this place if you're in, or near to, St Ives. It's worth the journey !!

Horrible food at the downstairs cafe. Specifically asked if they have fresh crab sandwich and they served us a stale ones. The taste was very bad. My gf and I barely ate it and still got stomach ache after it. Wouldn’t recommend, tourist trap.

Really great food, when you first walk up there is a slight worry you're about to be pulled into a tourist trap (white pvc double glazing over-looking the beach) but this is anything but. Amazing menu, great service and an incredible view.

Good place for a good breakfast, you can see the beach and the sea (very nice). The food had a good quality and you have the option to build your own breakfast combo. Addition information you can choose a kid menu. Recommended

The sun was out, so the views were amazing. Staff are friendly and prompt. We were a group of 8 and it wasn't a problem. Recommend booking a table as this place gets very popular.

Thoroughly recommend eating here but make sure to book. Service is excellent. We booked a table on the covered terrace and were nearest the beach; just stunning views!! As the rain started they closed the terrace side but can still enjoy the view. We arrived really early but they were happy to see us and get us sat down and also patient when we were waiting for one of our party to get parked. All the food was amazing.. I loved my crab/prawn brioche and squid was exceptional. We love the tapas approach to lunch so were all really happy. If there were ice cream sundaes on the menu we would have had dessert but just didn't fancy any this time.

The views are undeniably stunning, the service is a weird one felt a bit unwelcome and like they are doing me a favour, even though I booked in advance and the food was ok, had the breakfast and well it hit the spot but nothing to write home about. Honestly speaking save yourself some money and hit the cafe below, it has a wider range of food and the coffee is excellent, this is the 2nd time I've been here and it's just a bit meh so won't be visiting there again.

Dropped in for lunch without a reservation and was accommodated. The staff are all friendly and provide an attentive and speedy service. The food was really good. I ordered the Chipotle chicken taco which is lovely. The prices are slightly high but worth it for the quality of food and service.

Outstanding seafood. All the dishes were excellent.

Wow, what a perfect evening! We visited last with my husband and son. We had booked months in advance for here. We were 10 minutes early, but our table was ready, and we had a warm welcome. Our view from our table was amazing! All of the inside tables are by the window. Wine was lovely, kids menu good. My 5-year-old had sausage and chips and beans with some milk. We went for the tapas! The hake! The prawns! Basically, everything was devine. Food arrived within 15 minutes, which was fab! Chocolate tart was also delicious. Everything was fantastic, service, food, atmosphere, and evening. This is the best meal we have had on holiday this week. It wasn't cheap, but well worth the treat. Perfect!

Our favourite restaurant in st ives! The food here is always amazing - we come every year. One tip is to book as far in advance as you can as tables get booked up quickly. We always opt for the tapas over the main dishes as it’s just our preference but they always look great. The tapas is delicious and they often change the menu so there are different bits to try. A few favourites are the squid, prawns and the Aranchini which is one of the best we’ve ever eaten. It’s a pretty casual setting even in the evening which gives it a nice relaxed feel. The service is warm and friendly and they always have lots of staff on which means it’s quick too! There’s a good choice of drinks including local wines and a small cocktail menu. We will be back next year!

We had a lovely experience here and the food was simply amazing! Some of the best Arancini I have ever eaten and the service was so quick, friendly and welcoming. We have visited here several times before and will certainly go back again <3 the massive plus is the fantastic view of the beach you get to enjoy whilst eating

The Porthmeor Beach Café is a very nice higher end Cafe that provides some very nice food. They have indoor, balcony (that is under cover if raining) and some funky pods that are great for a family of 6 or under (they are open to the elements at one end). The Café takes walk-ins and bookings (to avoid disappointment my tip would be to book as it is very popular). Sadly with it being right on the beach side with a road behind there is no parking but there is a small public car park just up from it, but with it being the main surfing beach it is nearly always full. Hope this helps.

Absolutely lovely great food ,very clean and helpful staff . gets busy so may have to wait a very short time for a table well worth it .

No crab sandwiches anymore, which is such a shame as it brought me and my family back every year for nearly 7 years but apart from that it’s a good restaurant with good food, great views and nice staff. There is a kind of prawn and crab brioche number but wouldn’t recommend it. The garlicky prawns are good and the salty squid and Padron peppers were really good. Always worth a visit but not for me anymore - will need to look elsewhere for a crab sandwich 😢

Amazing experience! The cafe is next to the beach where the view is stunning. We were greeted very warmly as soon as we walked in. Our server was super nice, helpful, and very attentive. The food was excellent. Very fresh, very tasty, and presented amazingly! The seabass was cooked to perfection. It's very tasty, juicy, and seared nicely for texture. The pork had a really nice crackling and very tasty. The aubergine was very nice. I just hoped there's more aubergine and a bit less chickpea mix, but it was still very delicious. The Hummus was to die for and complimented with a nice warm bread. The rosemary chips were very nice, and the aioli really went well with it. They dont have mocktails, but they went above and beyond by making me one! Highly recommended!

We visited the place as it was recommended to us and the reviews were good. We had a very frosty reception for a lady with curly long black hair. I've never seen anyone less friendly in my entire life and esp NOT in Cornwall. She prob hates her job. She sent us to our table and handed us over to yet another unfriendly waitress with pigtails and glasses. Our drinks were wrong, our starters took ages to arrive (no apologies and zero care about us in general as we waited for like an hour for food), the starters tasted OK but the mains were a disaster just cremated chicken instead of a chicken snitzel. It was so bad we had trouble cutting it. Again waited for like half an hour for more drinks and by that time we gave up. Zero interest for our pup we had to ask for water as we were there for hours in the sun. I've never seen staff so miserable so bored and so slow ever before. The quality and presentation of food could be better too for the prices they charge. They base all their business on the great views and location but that is no merit of their own. You can find much better places and restaurants in Cornwall/ St Ives where you are treated like a respected paying customer and much better and you feel your custom is being valued. I won't recommend this place at all. We spent a small fortune amd couldn't wait to pay and go!!

Just perfect. We were a party of 9 for a birthday dinner and had nearly every dish on the menu. Favourites were the Thai prawn curry, the hummous, and the crispy fried sea bass. The service was friendly and super efficient. Nice to be able to bring the dog along too. We'll be back soon.

We had a fantastic lunch and drinks in the sun overlooking the beach. Food was so delicious - prawn and aubergine dishes in particular! Really good service. Would love to go back!

We ate here twice in June and both nights were memorable. The location, the food and staff make this place really special. On the first night we celebrated a birthday and the staff went out of the way to make it special - they even helped us to decorate our booth (special mention to Chloe who was just amazing). We have been coming now for years and never get tired of this lovely restaurant.

What a gem. Great tapas, order three or four which is enough for two. Nice desserts too. I have an allergy to scallops which they were very careful about (along with any other allergies you might have). All at a very reasonable price and with a great view.

Great early evening dinner overlooking the beach. Tapas selection was fabulous and whilst it is easy to make scallops, pork belly or sea bass taste great, the highlight was an aubergine and chickpea dish, so much flavour from humble ingredients!

We booked a pod for our 20th wedding anniversary, though a couple of weeks late as St Ives was rammed with tourist on the half term week our anniversary actually fell. (Happily we only live 400m away.) From start to finish the evening was excellent. The food was all outstanding & there wasn't a dish we ordered that we didn't enjoy. (Hard to choose from the menu & we'd have liked to try everything.) The staff looked after us really really well all evening & were knowledgeable, friendly & professional. We were almost the last to leave. Thoroughly recommended any time, but for us a memorable anniversary meal. The sunset helped (though we're luck enough to see that most days of the year) but it was the staff & the food that made it a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone on the team who looked after us so well. Our first meal here in far too long, but definitely not our last.

Arrived 10 minutes early for our booked table ( Sunday 18/6/23) and was greeted by a rather officious, dark pony tail clad, brittle smiled female member of staff who let us stay to one side to wait but then forgot about us! The food was fantastic with great sea views. Local fish and pumpkin, broccoli and feta frittata. Good sized portions of food. It would be a more relaxing atmosphere if some of the staff didn’t crash the crockery and glassware down onto the tables.Most staff were very friendly and polite. Very busy at weekends so booking ahead is definitely recommended - very easy to do in their online booking system. Overall this was a great experience.
