Cosy restaurant under a busy street in bath. It is well decorated on the inside. The staff were polite and happy to talk us through items on their menu. The food and portion sizes were very good, and I liked how aromatic it was.

A very good place. The first time we ate Nepalese and it was very good. The waitress had to choose two starters as we were short on time and she chose just the right one for us. The main courses were a good size and I am now in love with tomato chutney. Recommend their Prohibition punch. Food that fills and tastes and where you can choose the strength.

Insanely good food! Loved the cocktails, recommend the Jasmine ghost. Lots of great vegetarian food. Overall lovely place and thoughtful staff.

We arrived early Friday evening and the hosts happily accommodated us. The food was delicious especially the Pumpkin and Black Chana dish and the Yak Yeti Yak lamb was succulent. The spice level can be notched up but the medium level should be spicy enough for the average palate. Jungle Fire cocktail was a hit with one of the diner as was the spicy coffee which was loaded with cinnamon. We found the Gajjar Halwa tart overly sweet and a bit wet and cold. The restaurant was cold and could do with a bit of warming up. The service was exceptional and we had a great evening.

I can't believe we have lived in Bath for over 20 years and only got round to going a couple of weeks ago! The food was incredible in every way. Our friends are vegan and weren't just impressed over the choice, but the food too. Aubergine is a favourite of mine, and I'm still dreaming of my main dish, the Brinjal ra Bhatmas - such a wonderful, delicious dish, and the flavour of the rift, smoky aubergines was nothing short of divine. And those crunchy soya beans... We'll be back very soon. Thank you for a lovely meal with exceptional service!

Best food in all of the UK! Needs a bigger sign so people know to come here!

Quite an experience, crocuhed on chusions over a low table eating food with your fingers (our choice) in a very rustic setting. It is definitely one to have on your list of things to do in bath. Not so much for the food, unless you are in to chickpeas but more the aurheric Nepalese experience. They do have table seats but the cushions and low tables are much more fun and surprisingly comfy. On to the food. Nothing really wrong but it seems fairly samey. Perhaps it was as they all had the same yellow chickpea sauce and the flavours of out meals was not very strong. They also run out of deserts towards the evening. Pleasant enough, choose your dishes wisely and go mix and match to vary your protein and sauces and don't book a table, call for a cushion.

Food is incredible. So tasty and really authentic Nepalese cuisine. Healthy too! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of options for those with dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, etc.). Can’t recommend this place enough. We go every time we visit Bath and we are never disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Top tier - no complaints. On top of all that it’s good value too!

Visiting Bath with friends and they booked this restaurant. The food was exceptional, we ordered a selection of mains, meat and vegetables with a few side dishes, my favourite was the slow roasted pork and the aubergine dishes but they were all so flavourful and different. Would definitely visit again and recommend highly.

I'd only heard good things about this place and wanted to try it for ages, and when I finally did, it fully met my expectations. Best restaurant I've yet been to in Bath. The food was unique, full of flavour, delicious, and generous portions. Don't skip on the lamb skewer starter and it's well worth leaving a tiny bit of space in your stomach for pudding - all three courses are must-haves. Would particularly recommend trying the fresh mint chutney. Lovely, down to earth and homely atmosphere with great service and good value for money too. Couldn't recommend enough!

Booked a week before our visit to Bath - although the online booking system wasn’t working too well we rang and explained and they managed to fit us in as a table of four on Valentines evening. Really friendly staff, food was AMAZING and really flavoursome with different levels of heat dependent on personal tastes. Would definitely highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants we went to during our stay in Bath over Christmas. The food was delicious and the service was also excellent. We felt like we were in the home of the owners and felt so welcome. The food tasted like a home cooked meal.

The most delicious food. Every dish tasted unique and every dish was fantastic. We had a starter each, a main, a side dish, and shared a portion of rice, and a dessert, and we are stuffed. Took home the leftoves. Will be coming back for sure. Super friendly and warm service. Great atmosphere too, with the floor seating.

What a wonderful restaurant! Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly: delicious food! The slow-cooked pork saag aloo was our favourite and I would also highly recommend trying their carrot-cinnamon tartlet for an original dessert. Can't wait to try and recreate it at home. We'll be back for sure!

I have visited Yak Yeti Yak on multiple occasions with both family and friends and have thoroughly enjoyed it on every visit. What seems a very authentic Nepalese restaurant and with delicious food (the chicken chilli is very spicy but worth it!). The floor-type seating is a comfortable and unique experience!

Came here for my Mother's Birthday meal, and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. There was plenty of space, and the food was delicious. The spice grading system was especially useful for a table that had varying preferences. The meat was cooked perfectly (something I'm admittedly fussy about), and there was a great vegetarian selection. The kulfi ice cream was amazing, as was the masala coffee, which has now become a new favourite. Very reasonable prices, too, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Absolutely love this restaurant. I've been going here for years. The food is excellent. I particularly like that they offer different spice levels, which is great when you're taking family who have varying spice tolerances. Everything I've eaten there has been amazing! I have been going to this restaurant for a number of years with friends and have always been served by the owners and wonderful, friendly and polite members of staff. We have unfortunately come away feeling completely let down by the rude and inconsiderate manner of the man who was in charge this time whom we haven’t seen before. He made it clear that he didn’t care less about the reputation that the owners have built up over the years at this usually excellent restaurant. He certainly doesn’t care less about customers new or old or if they return again. After many amazing visits our experience of Yak Yeti Yak has been severely tarnished this time by this man who I assume was the manager. I hope very much that the wonderful, friendly running of the restaurant will return at some point in the future to how it has always been in the past and which the owners have worked so hard to achieve and this man does not have an opportunity to ruin it any further than he has already done.

Dejó en claro que no le importaba menos la reputación que los dueños han construido a lo largo de los años en este restaurante generalmente excelente. Ciertamente no le importan menos los clientes nuevos o antiguos o si vuelven de nuevo. Después de muchas visitas increíbles, nuestra experiencia de Yak Yeti Yak se ha visto gravemente empañada esta vez por este hombre que supongo que era el gerente. Espero mucho que la maravillosa y amable gestión del restaurante vuelva en algún momento en el futuro a como siempre ha sido en el pasado y que los propietarios han trabajado tan duro para lograr y este hombre no tiene la oportunidad de arruinarlo más de lo que ya lo ha hecho.

Tuve el placer de cenar en este restaurante nepalés, y fue una experiencia absolutamente encantadora! La comida era increíble, con sabores increíbles que estaban perfectamente equilibrados, no demasiado picantes pero ricos y satisfactorios. Para mí, destacaron sus bebidas de menta, una de las mejores que he probado. Refrescante, vibrante y con el nivel justo de dulzor, complementó la comida maravillosamente. El servicio fue otro punto culminante. Cada miembro del equipo fue increíblemente amable, atento y acogedor, todo mientras trabajaba con una sonrisa genuina. Su calidez y profesionalidad añadieron un toque especial a la velada. Este lugar es una joya, y no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente. Sin duda volveré por más de su increíble comida y maravillosa hospitalidad!

The food was SPOT ON, this is the most favourite food out of all cuisine that I have tried this was my first time eating Nepalese and I can tell you that it was tasty and I could eat this everyday.. thank you for the staff that let us come in for late dinner at nearly 22:30pm on Saturday night too, served us with patient and kindness.

We’ve been coming to Yak Yeti Yak in Bath for years, and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible—the quality and flavors are on another level, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend it! Dining here feels like a little escape to Nepal. The atmosphere is amazing—you can sit at regular tables or relax on cushions on the floor (our personal favorite!). The dishes served on copper plates are packed with authentic, perfectly balanced flavors that just melt in your mouth. The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is always so warm and welcoming. Yeti Yak is one of the oldest family-run spots in Bath, and it’s clear why it’s been around for so long. A true gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Excelente menú que atendía a todos con la opción de elegir el nivel de “caliente!” Elegimos Medium pero me pareció un poco demasiado caliente, mis amigos están hechos de cosas más severas, pero también encontró uno de los platos ligeramente demasiado caliente para terminar. Con retrospectiva podría haber pedido un poco de yogur o similar y estoy seguro de que el personal habría agradecido. Fue un poco difícil de encontrar, ya que está bajando escaleras a un sótano, pero ahora sabemos dónde está, ¡será fácil!

I went there with my family and also because it is Nepali restaurant but I felt they distinguished us. They provide complimentary to other dinning not to us. It might be a simple thing but genuinely I felt really bad that we are treated differently. We are Nepali and when we go to Nepali restaurant went there emotionally and excitedly . All customers should be equal and treated nicely.

If I should choose one restaurant to visit in Bath, Yak Yeti Yak would be the one. I went there twice and based on my two experiences, Sag Aloo is the best and Yak Yeti Yak Lamb is mind-blowing (coming from someone who doesn’t like lamb!) Portion is quite big, my husband and I ordered 2 portions of the mix and match, and 1 rice. We’re happily full! Good value for money for UK standard. Easily one of the best restaurants in Bath 💕

The service is friendly without being obtrusive. The ambiance is quirky- a little off the wall- but absolutely in keeping. The food is beautifully balanced, but be warned: if you’re looking for the “Traditional English curry with a twist” experience available from other Nepalese restaurants, this may not be for you. Every ingredient counts, down to the extent each has been cooked, and the textures of each are carefully measured. The starters are gorgeous, especially the lamb skewers (consistently delicious over my 13 years of visits). A main, dal and rice is a must to properly understand where they’re going with the menu. Desserts are uncomplicated but inventive and satisfying. Still my favourite restaurant and still a tough act to improve upon: if you’re looking for something genuinely different from what you’re used to to, I can’t recommend YYY more highly.

Absolute gem of a restaurant! A party of 5, we were sat at a low table ensconced in traditional cushions (we selected this option when booking) with lots of space between our table and the other three - I believe that the main dining room has western tables and chairs and greater capacity. Beautifully decorated with Nepalese fabrics, flags and climbing equipment we were transported to the Himalayas, a feeling reinforced by the Nepalese team who were so charming and diligent. The food was fantastic, served in traditional brass pots, the flavours were both subtle and exquisite….and spicy (know your limits before selecting between mild, medium and hot). At around £35 a head I thought it more than reasonable and if we didn’t live in France I would dine there frequently!

My girlfriend and I regularly come here and it is always a delight. I would go far as to say, it isn’t just my favourite Nepalese restaurant but my most favourite restaurant of all time. The owner is nice a such guy and they also allow well behaved dogs. We love the fact we can take our little toy poodle with us. The floor seating area is a vibe as well, not often available at other restaurants. This place has a real unique feel and it’s the first place I think to go for special occasions. We live an hour and a half away but it’s worth the travel. I fancy some right now!!!

Fantastic food and service, strongly recommend

Delicious and authentic Nepalese food! We had the Yak Yeti Yak chicken plates with fresh veggies on the side and a mango lassi. The chicken was tender, we ordered it Hot so it was spicy and rich. The rice and veggies were also filling. The mango lassi was sweet and refreshing, perfect to cool down the spices and round up the flavours. Next time we're in Bath, we'll definitely visit again ❤️ A must try!

I wasn't expecting lamb heart, but I really enjoyed it. The dumplings weren't as nice as I hoped, but overall the food was really good and authentic. The restaurant has a traditional vibe. I would definitely recommend.

We had ordered food for takeaway, chicken momos and chilli chicken. Upon eating the food we noticed the chicken inside the momos was raw and uncooked and the chilli chicken was not looking like the right one or even tasting like a chilli chicken. i do not usually leave review however we had travelled from london for my birthday and this meal disappointed us.

Lovely underground restaurant! We didn't make a reservation however there was space in the yard or at the low tables, we sat outside and it was very tranquil. The food was delicious. One lamb set and one vegetarian set with the new potatoes in (you get rice, dhal and pickles with your dish) very flavoursome. You can choose your heat level medium is probably hot enough for most, I got hot and it was like a vindaloo level. There is a very hot option as well if you are mental. Sets are around £18. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the decor was lovely. I would eat there again!

Had the pork bhutuwa and it was perfect. Some of the best restaurant food I've ever had the chance to eat in the UK. Edit: so good I had to come back two more times that week before I left town. The chilli chicken, brinjal and black dal are all also outstanding dishes.

This is coming from a returning customer that visits every weekend. Recently, the staff who answers the call has been extremely rude I called to book a table today and the guy straight up said we can’t, we are fully booked. Despite me asking politely if maybe a walk in is possible, we can wait. He was rude and said the same thing last weekend, yet when we walked in that day we got a table in 5 mins. So I don’t understand why this particular staff (who usually answers the phone calls) acts like he owns the place. Thanks for the terrible attitude, you lost a loyal customer and will be losing many more as none of my friends or family will ever visit

What a great hidden gem in Bath! If your in the area then this is a must try. Food was delicious, service was great and the beer was good. We will definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

Went here for dinner looking for something different and spicy. I ordered my meal very hot and told them to not pump the brakes. It turns out that this place takes their spices seriously and I got exactly what I ordered. The food was phenomenal. The dessert I ordered was one of the best things I've ever tasted and served as a nice way of cooling off the heat from the main meal. Absolutely terrific service, food and location! 5/5!
