Absolutely amazing food and service. Something unique and nothing like this in London or Hertfordshire where we live. Totally awesome. Thank you!!!

The food was SPOT ON, this is the most favourite food out of all cuisine that I have tried this was my first time eating Nepalese and I can tell you that it was tasty and I could eat this everyday.. thank you for the staff that let us come in for late dinner at nearly 22:30pm on Saturday night too, served us with patient and kindness.

We’ve been coming to Yak Yeti Yak in Bath for years, and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible—the quality and flavors are on another level, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend it! Dining here feels like a little escape to Nepal. The atmosphere is amazing—you can sit at regular tables or relax on cushions on the floor (our personal favorite!). The dishes served on copper plates are packed with authentic, perfectly balanced flavors that just melt in your mouth. The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is always so warm and welcoming. Yeti Yak is one of the oldest family-run spots in Bath, and it’s clear why it’s been around for so long. A true gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Food was mostly amazing, however black Dal was slightly burnt.

I went there with my family and also because it is Nepali restaurant but I felt they distinguished us. They provide complimentary to other dinning not to us. It might be a simple thing but genuinely I felt really bad that we are treated differently. We are Nepali and when we go to Nepali restaurant went there emotionally and excitedly . All customers should be equal and treated nicely.

If I should choose one restaurant to visit in Bath, Yak Yeti Yak would be the one. I went there twice and based on my two experiences, Sag Aloo is the best and Yak Yeti Yak Lamb is mind-blowing (coming from someone who doesn’t like lamb!) Portion is quite big, my husband and I ordered 2 portions of the mix and match, and 1 rice. We’re happily full! Good value for money for UK standard. Easily one of the best restaurants in Bath 💕

Lovely birthday meal here, booked ahead and booked the flooring seating which was very different! Food was amazing, really authentic and great they ask what heat you'd like (medium was perfect). We chose two different starters and set meals to share - amazing!

Good. Not like a typical curry house. Get it one of the set meals for a great experience. They're not really set meals. More like a thali.

The service is friendly without being obtrusive. The ambiance is quirky- a little off the wall- but absolutely in keeping. The food is beautifully balanced, but be warned: if you’re looking for the “Traditional English curry with a twist” experience available from other Nepalese restaurants, this may not be for you. Every ingredient counts, down to the extent each has been cooked, and the textures of each are carefully measured. The starters are gorgeous, especially the lamb skewers (consistently delicious over my 13 years of visits). A main, dal and rice is a must to properly understand where they’re going with the menu. Desserts are uncomplicated but inventive and satisfying. Still my favourite restaurant and still a tough act to improve upon: if you’re looking for something genuinely different from what you’re used to to, I can’t recommend YYY more highly.

Absolute gem of a restaurant! A party of 5, we were sat at a low table ensconced in traditional cushions (we selected this option when booking) with lots of space between our table and the other three - I believe that the main dining room has western tables and chairs and greater capacity. Beautifully decorated with Nepalese fabrics, flags and climbing equipment we were transported to the Himalayas, a feeling reinforced by the Nepalese team who were so charming and diligent. The food was fantastic, served in traditional brass pots, the flavours were both subtle and exquisite….and spicy (know your limits before selecting between mild, medium and hot). At around £35 a head I thought it more than reasonable and if we didn’t live in France I would dine there frequently!

My girlfriend and I regularly come here and it is always a delight. I would go far as to say, it isn’t just my favourite Nepalese restaurant but my most favourite restaurant of all time. The owner is nice a such guy and they also allow well behaved dogs. We love the fact we can take our little toy poodle with us. The floor seating area is a vibe as well, not often available at other restaurants. This place has a real unique feel and it’s the first place I think to go for special occasions. We live an hour and a half away but it’s worth the travel. I fancy some right now!!!

Fantastic food and service, strongly recommend

I wasn't expecting lamb heart, but I really enjoyed it. The dumplings weren't as nice as I hoped, but overall the food was really good and authentic. The restaurant has a traditional vibe. I would definitely recommend.

Delicious and authentic Nepalese food! We had the Yak Yeti Yak chicken plates with fresh veggies on the side and a mango lassi. The chicken was tender, we ordered it Hot so it was spicy and rich. The rice and veggies were also filling. The mango lassi was sweet and refreshing, perfect to cool down the spices and round up the flavours. Next time we're in Bath, we'll definitely visit again ❤️ A must try!

A beautiful Nepalese restaurant with delicious food and great service. We really enjoyed the wide selection of plant based dishes and the chocolate kulfi dessert was so yummy! Would love to visit again.

Took four attempts to get a table however it was worth it! Lovely service, great atmosphere, wonderfully prepared well priced food. Everyone I met with was super although shout out to Kalli for a nice chat and Gurung who sorted my booking!

Lovely underground restaurant! We didn't make a reservation however there was space in the yard or at the low tables, we sat outside and it was very tranquil. The food was delicious. One lamb set and one vegetarian set with the new potatoes in (you get rice, dhal and pickles with your dish) very flavoursome. You can choose your heat level medium is probably hot enough for most, I got hot and it was like a vindaloo level. There is a very hot option as well if you are mental. Sets are around £18. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the decor was lovely. I would eat there again!

We had ordered food for takeaway, chicken momos and chilli chicken. Upon eating the food we noticed the chicken inside the momos was raw and uncooked and the chilli chicken was not looking like the right one or even tasting like a chilli chicken. i do not usually leave review however we had travelled from london for my birthday and this meal disappointed us.

Everything was good until I felt some really tiny pieces of rock in my teeth while eating ‘Pork sag aaloo’. I felt like I am eating pieces of rock every time I eat.

Had the pork bhutuwa and it was perfect. Some of the best restaurant food I've ever had the chance to eat in the UK. Edit: so good I had to come back two more times that week before I left town. The chilli chicken, brinjal and black dal are all also outstanding dishes.

This is coming from a returning customer that visits every weekend. Recently, the staff who answers the call has been extremely rude I called to book a table today and the guy straight up said we can’t, we are fully booked. Despite me asking politely if maybe a walk in is possible, we can wait. He was rude and said the same thing last weekend, yet when we walked in that day we got a table in 5 mins. So I don’t understand why this particular staff (who usually answers the phone calls) acts like he owns the place. Thanks for the terrible attitude, you lost a loyal customer and will be losing many more as none of my friends or family will ever visit

What a great hidden gem in Bath! If your in the area then this is a must try. Food was delicious, service was great and the beer was good. We will definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

Went here for dinner looking for something different and spicy. I ordered my meal very hot and told them to not pump the brakes. It turns out that this place takes their spices seriously and I got exactly what I ordered. The food was phenomenal. The dessert I ordered was one of the best things I've ever tasted and served as a nice way of cooling off the heat from the main meal. Absolutely terrific service, food and location! 5/5!

Incredibly delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere. The brinjal (aubergine) dish, the black daal and the vegetarian momos are absolute winners. You must visit here if you are in Bath!

Amazing meal! Five is not enough stars. Best meal we’ve had in two weeks traveling around Britain. We had the dumplings (which they advise take 30 minutes to prepare asks steam but are worth it), papadum and raita, and three set meals: yak yeti yak chicken and lamb, and butternut squash and black chick peas. All were heavenly. There was much moaning in pleasure at our table. I definitely recommend the set meals so you get rice and lentils, which you need to make the authentic meal. Service was great and atmosphere is fine and interesting. Don’t book the Everest room unless you’re comfortable sitting cross-legged and at least half your party can handle sitting without something to lean on. Don’t miss this memorable place!

Very exotic environment, super nice staff, and the food is just amazing! A tip: I enjoyed a lot of the hot flavour, but if you can’t really eat spicy, just try the medium- hot means HOT

Pleasant place with excellent cuisine

Excellent food. It was my first time trying g Nepalese food and I loved it. The great thing is that you can adjust the level of spiciness. Cocktails are very good as well. Simple but strong.

We had a very good time at Yak Yeti Yak. Tried our luck by walking in as their website didn’t have any available slots at 6:30pm. Thankfully, we got a spot! The service was top notch and our spot was very cozy. Food was great. Definitely a must try when you visit Bath

Characterful basement restaurant with friendly staff and fantastically flavoursome food. Best meal I've had in a long time. Would highly recommend.

This great restaurant is tucked away in the basement of a building just off the city centre. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but don’t let that put you off. Once you go down the steps and get inside, it’s fantastic. They have created a great atmosphere and the food is out of this world. Some of the dishes are on the spicy side, but they do ask you how hot you want your main course. My pakora starter and lamb main were sublime, as was my wife’s potato salad starter, which was spicy but delicious, and her squash and lentil curry also hit the mark. Very attentive staff and fantastic food. Go find this place. You won’t regret it. Highly recommended

The most divine food that I have had in some time. Tops my fave meals of all time beating Dishoom (Indian) in London by a small margin. In love with the atmosphere and how it’s so tucked away - feels like a real hidden gem in Bath!

Just delicious! - Really a treat for the senses - I have never tasted food quite like this before. Really delicate and subtle layers of flavour as well as robust spiciness. Deserts equally good and the chai. Thoroughly recommend. Only problem was bit grumpy from of house, all the other waiters/waitresses were friendly and very prompt.

LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST, IF NOT *THE BEST* RESTAURANTS IN BATH. Highly recommend the yak yeti yak lamb and pork sag aloo as well as the brinjal ra bhatmas. The pork momos were also very nice. We also had the spiced carrot tart and it was alright. This place is affordable and provides high value for money.

Showed up on a Friday evening with no booking, they managed to squeeze us in. Wow the food, I will be dreaming about. So much flavour and fresh. Lovely service, so kind and polite you don’t seem to get that level of friendliness anywhere anymore. Even without the booking we were made to feel so welcome. I think this is my new favourite restaurant in Bath!

What a wonderful restaurant - we took our daughter and her college roommates out for dinner at Yak Yeti Yak - as they were in Bath for a study abroad program and we were visiting from the US. We chose to sit at a traditional table (on the floor) and it just added to festive feel of the evening. The entire staff at the restaurant was so accommodating and provided great recommendations for our meal. I tend to over order when feeding a group and the waiter actually took the time to make some suggestions of items we could eliminate or change to a 1/2 order verses overselling us - much appreciated. A fun evening getting to know our daughter's new friends and the perfect pick for a memorable dinner.

Very different to the other Nepalese restaurants I have visited...Perhaps this is more authentic / rustic, but I didn't enjoy the food.

Loved the thaali style plate I got. As an Indian, I like to eat with a combination of flavours on my plate. This didn't disappoint. Delicious meat- I went for the pork in the waiters recommendation. The daal, rice and cucumbers were a great addition. Lovely setting too.

Although from the outside it doesn’t look much. Food and service excellent. Always busy which is a good sign. Definitely worth booking to avoid disappointment

Quite basic, think student restaurant and you will get the idea. Food is interesting ingredients and cooked well, but lacking any real cooking skill or presentation skills. However, service was great and we enjoyed ourselves overall.

My sister and I booked a table for when the restaurant opened at 5 o’clock because we wanted to have an early meal before our evening plans. The rate at which the restaurant filled up is testament to how popular this place is! Within half an hour the place was buzzing with people (in a lovely way). The mocktails were IN-CRED-I-BLE - as any other teetotallers out there will appreciate - it’s really hard to get a really decent mocktail. I had an apple fizz drink and my sister had a mango based one (apologies I can’t remember the names of the drinks) - they were so refreshing and stylishly/thoughtfully presented. The food was hot and delicious! We were asked how much heat I would like and our food was cooked exactly to our taste. Thank you for a lovely meal!
