What a shambles... Our service was slow, inattentive and rude. We believe her name was Sea. Our starter arrived at the same time as our main, which was only a slight inconvenience. In general the food was average and over priced. The TK crispy style chicken didn't come with sweet chilli sauce as stated and the chicken was very dry and flavourless. The best part about the dish was the chips! This was our first and last time dining here. Would not recommend to anyone!

On a quick visit to Bath I was recommended to try this place by a friend. Fabulous food with lots of choice. The cocktails were great too. Loved everything about it. Only wished I lived nearer to go there more regularly. If you like Thai food you won’t go wrong with this lovely restaurant.

I love Thai food, but eating at this place was very unpleasant and disappointing in many ways. We ordered chicken Thai green curry, a prone stir fry dish with two jasmine rice a glass of wine and Thai green tea drink. The food came a bit late, but we were served the drinks quickly. My green tea drink was very tasteless served in a big jar full of ice pieces almost more than half of the jar was ice which made me think how much drink have I got for a (£6). The Thai green curry was also very bad quality, it was as if they just mixed some raw sliced vegetables with some pre cooked thin sliced of chicken in hot green curry sauce and served to us without cooking! I am a cook and have cooked Thai food and Thai curries is one of my favourite. So I know what I am talking about. I complained about the drink to the waitress, I told her I had this drink in other restaurants with much better quality and authenticity. She said I know, but this is how they do it here. I also told her to report our feed back to her manager that the curry was tasteless and the meet was too chewy. The manager did the bill and said she took the drinks off. After we paid I realised that she charged us an “optional” service charge. How it can be optional if it is included in the bill without asking us whether we would like to pay or not? I left the restaurant frustrated. That was not a place to feed you but to rip you off with hidden charges and as much little food as they can!

This is en edit of my previous review. From 4 stars to 1!!! Their quality has gone down a lot. A LOT!!! All the food are made with the same broth or something, 18 £ seafood noodles contains only 2 mussels, 3 prawns, and 3 squid pieces!!! Chicken was under-cooked as well. Price has gone up too. Wow!!! We won't come here again.

Ordered Pad Thai and mango sticky rice, pad Thai was okay, nothing great. I ordered mango sticky rice because I really liked it when I bought it from another Thai restaurant. But Thaikhuns mango sticky rice WAS BADDDDD. It wasn’t even cooked, let alone sticky and the rice was dry to its core. I got seated after 5 minutes . But after sitting, it took me ages to get the staff to notice me, to take my order ofc. I ordered for the dessert to be brought after my meal. But then I had to wait another 10-15 minutes to get it. Next one is the billing shenanigans. Tried a bit to get their attention and then One of the staff noticed , she stopped for a second, before I could speak, she just went to talk to another male staff. The lady staff(with 🧕) was nice. That’s all I can remember. I’m normally ok in keeping service charge, if the staff is nice or if I think the service is okay at the least. This was really bad, so I asked one of the staff to remove it. And then paid for my food and left asap.

The restaurant looks great inside, lots of space so people aren't crowded together. The service was fairly slow to take your order, but once ordered the food comes out lightning fast. The food was decent but not special, a bit expensive for the quality.

On a 23rd of February at around 5pm to 6pm, we went to visit Thai restaurant with my family as we normally do, But tonight we had a disgusting experience with one of the staff! I believe she was the manager, My daughter who is 1 year old was screaming and someone apparently complained and one of the senior staff came up to us very rudely, Her exact words was (SOMEONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR SCREAMING CHILD AND WALKED OFF) Customer service in this restaurant is shocking, the only respectful one is called Ling, who I have spoke to after we’ve been treated wrongly!!

Very tasty. Recommend the spicy seafood noodles, Thai ice tea, Grill Fork Collar strips , barbecue pork on rice and prawn Tom yum

Food was really great! We had the Pinto Sharing Feast where we picked one dish from each section to share between the 2 of us. Was very filling and delicious. Although, would have been nice if there was more rice seeing as one of the dishes was a curry and the other was a stir fry, so one bowl of rice was not enough. The waiters were all lovely and friendly. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated. Definitely gave Thailand vibes. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing Thai food love atmostphere

Staff are THE BEST but food was poor to middling. This chain was great early on but has got really lazy with the dishes. Loss of summer rolls says alot. Quality taking a back seat.

I had an amazing experience at Thaikhun for a work Christmas meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, making it a great experience for our large group. Amazingly, all the food and drinks arrived so quickly despite the size of our party. Very impressive! For starters, I had the satay chicken, and for the main course, I tried the chilli & Thai basil stir fry. It was delicious and had the right level of spiciness (was scared it might be TOO spicy) What I loved most was the creative presentation – nothing is just on a standard plates here, everything is served in a quirky and unique way. I also love the interior decor of the restaurant is fascinating, very creative and unique. A different thing caught my eye every time I looked around. Also the open kitchen is nice so you can watch the chefs preparing all the dishes. This was my first visit here, but I'm definitely planning to return with friends and family in the future. Thaikhun offers not only delicious authentic Thai cuisine but also a memorable and creatively presented dining experience!!

Ordered fish cakes, pork skewers and squid for a late lunch along with Thai tea and sticky rice with mango to go. It all came to just over £40 which is very expensive. The food itself was fine but the portions were very small. The pork skewers were the highlight. Sticky rice could have done with more mango. I would go back but it's not somewhere I would recommend or visit often because the price doesn't justify it.

I made a last minute booking on a Saturday night when I had originally booked into a place with a not very good vibe. I am SO glad I ended up eating here instead! The food was absolutely AMAZING, the menu had so much choice, the staff were so lovely and were great at making recommendations. Lots of nice cocktails on the menu too although I didn’t try any unfortunately. I had chicken cashew stir fry with egg fried rice and my partner had prawn pad Thai, both meals were so tasty and the portion sizes were amazing. Will definitely be back next time I visit Bath!

We had the Thaikhun sharing platter to start followed by the pinto sharing feast of: Chicken and cashew nut stir-fry Thai red curry Street noodles Jasmine rice Excellent flavours, excellent portions, superb service. I'd eat here again.

Booked table for 13 people, very accommodating staff, someone dedicated to our table for our needs at all times, thankyou Sea and Dan. They made our night more enjoyable than just eating out. Booked table 3 weeks in advance.

This place never disappoint me. The food is so good and fresh, the service is very attentive and gentle, accommodating and very knowledgeable. The decor is funa md happy. A great dinner out and highly recommend it.

food was quite small in size for a shared platter but decently cooked and flavoured. staff were prompt but not pleasant and approachable.

My partner and I had the cinema booked after work so were tight on time to get some dinner first. We both wanted Thai food and conveniently walked past Thaikhun on our way towards the cinema. Despite being very busy, the staff happily seated us and the service was so quick that we made our movie in good time! The food was also very nice and fairly priced and we were pleasantly surprised to see they serve a plant based chicken option for their dishes as we are both vegetarian. We will definitely be returning another day when we have more time to stay longer!

Ordered the shared platter with Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, Chilli and Basil stir fry, and Rice. The food came out really quickly and was absolutely delicious and beyond expectations. Also cocktails were insanely “lush” Would definitely come here again. Highly recommended for the weary traveller :)

The meal was nice, although I think £8 for 3 spring rolls is expensive and why not give 4 🤷🏼‍♂️ I'd paid for the chicken ones but they didn't taste of chicken and the texture showed no signs of meat so may as well have had the veg ones which are slightly cheaper. The main was nice and tasty but again over priced £13 for a chicken Thai red curry and an extra £4.50 for the Jasmine boiled rice so £17.50, dessert I had the cheese cake it was nice but small (£6.50) overall I enjoyed the meal and the service was fast and efficient. The main reason for my low score is....... I asked for my bill, I was given it, I glanced at everything i had eaten it all there and looked ok so I paid, thanked the person who served me and left. It was only later when I looked at the receipt again I saw I'd been charged an ' Optional 10% service charge' £5.10 on a meal costing £39 (excluding 2 drinks pints of cider costing £6 something each) how is this optional if I was never asked or even informed it had been added when handed the bill. So look out for this, I've never encountered this before when eating out but will be checking from now on......tips should be given if felt deserved and they weren't on this occasion, I got standard service and the food was ok & nice but you paid for it.

I’ve come here very often, basically once a week, or whenever I’m in bath. I absolutely love the look of the place as much as the food! I’d definitely recommend the pork skewers as a starter as they are the MOST DELICIOUS thing I’ve ever had and the chicken Katsu is equally a good main course. Service has always been very reliable and efficient and the food has always been delicious. I’d definitely recommend anyone to try this place out!

Amazing flavours, lots of choices and sharing dishes. The staff was wonderful and everyone gladly took any request with a smile and lots of energy. Would definitely recommend and if you’re going with more than one person then the sharing feast is worth it.

Came here for the first time with friends at 5:30pm. The place was buzzy and felt like you were in Thailand with those Thai-inspired decor. The atmosphere was vibrant. Generally, the food was good and flavours were authentic. My only critique is that portions were relatively small.

Can't fault the food but the service left something to be desired to say the least. We were stood for 10 mins waiting to be seated then once we were it took ages to be served, even when we did it was very rushed and abrupt. No one came to take further drinks orders, or to check how the food was then it was quickly gather up and get out sort of vibe. Wouldn't go back based on that, appreciate the place was busy but there should be more staff on if that's the case.

food is great. the staff are friendly. we made a booking ahead of time, but arrived 1hr earlier due to the pouring rain, staff managed to give us a table within 5min. the food is very authentic, especially love the Tom Yum soup and beef jerky. sadly they don't have mango sticker rice, we got lemon tart instead, which was really yummy- it came with vanilla ice-cream! plus their spring sale for 30% off make it even better. would recommend this place

Gorgeous Thai food in the centre of Bath. Was lush to get away from the chaos of the christmas markets and enjoy a sit down meal in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. All the food was cooked fresh in the open kitchen and delicious! We had the Thaikhjn platter with few additional sides and it was plentiful and hot. The chilli squid and the ribs were to die for! We will be back to try more dishes next time.

Just great, never heard of them before. Were greeted well, good and drinks came so so quick, perfect for just before a theatre show.

The service was excellent and the ambience was really good. However, the food didn't live up to the expectations. Basil chicken rice came out as fried rice, lacked the flavours and was bit too much oily than authentic Thai basil chicken.

The cooking level was basic, portion small, just a few pieces of vegetables, cut in big pieces and stir fried. Rice was not included, costed 4 pounds. Egg plant was half raw. Wont visit again. The interior is really cool though,but the food is even below canteen level.

This is a restaurant that doesn't respect its guests. There was a mandatory 10% service charge, but I was laughed at by the waitress after I said the wrong word and apologized. I was furious because I thought they were racist. The 10% service charge was refunded after negotiation, but the refunded service charge was not received.

A great atmosphere, authentic food and great service. Our waiter was Nop, who was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Nop has served us before and his standards are always high. A highly recommended Thai restaurant with a level of service others can only aspire to.

Great service, lovely food. We had lunch in this lovely and lively little restaurant. Chicken wings, vegetable platter to start were fresh and delicious. Generous portions of Singapore noodles, phadthai, chicken massaman with the stickiest rice were excellent.

Everything we ordered was overly sweet. The Legendary KSG noodles I ordered must have been the worst noodles I've eaten anywhere in the world.

A very warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you turn up. The waiters do not rush you and the food that turned up was amazing.

The food was great. It isn’t cheap and we were herded out unceremoniously at 10, but I guess the staff were keen to go. Overall, worth a visit for the quality of the food.

Great spot. Had a negative experience at a Korean place up the road and ended up here unexpectedly. Food was great! Chicken satay appetizer was delicious and generous, special KSG noodle soup/curry was excellent (I LOVE Khao Soi and it’s not often on menus so was delighted to see it). We visited the place since we heard the food was great. Can't disagree with that. However, the service was beyond pathetic. The staff (Nuch Thaikkun) was impolite and arrogant, clearly didn't want to be there. Every table was served with a frown and the waiters just turned their back on every table mid sentences. We waited for almost an hour and a half for our food and the waiter refused to even bother coming to the table to inform us. All in all, there maybe better Thai restaurants to visit in Bath. Avoid this one or order in!
