Thaikhun Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

Worth a trip to see decor but rest needs a little attention to detail and effort to make it an experience worth visiting. Also Little expensive

We went to thaikhun in Bath as we’re familiar with the brand as we visit the one in Southampton regularly. The service was top notch, the food was excellent, arrived quickly and was nice and hot. Would recommend going here.

One of our favourite restaurants that we keep coming back to. Food is always incredible, quick and brilliant value. An amazing authentic vibe, great for all the family!

Thaikhun (Bath): our favourite place which never disappoints. We went for the Pinto for 3 consisting of Thai Chicken Stir Fry (garlic & black pepper), Chicken massaman and Beef street noodles. The food was delicious and plentiful, would definitely recommend. The service was incredible, thank you Sea!! You are a credit to the team. Until next time!

Terrible service, the supervisor dumped the bill on us without saying anything, and it's unbelievable that you use whole pork instead of minced pork for your pad kra pao.

Well themed restaurant with tasty food. However, It was busy, and the noise made it hard to hear. The service time and quality also suffered. Food is good though and there is a take-out option.

Absolutely loved this place! We had come here while it was pouring outside and we were drenched . The kitchen was about to close and the staff was kind enough to quickly take the order. Tom yum soup was too good and the tamarind based pad Thai noodles was lovely as well. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal!

Best Thai restaurant I have tried in the UK. Fav dishes: Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice, which were excellent and very authentic, the first as good as the one I tried in Thailand! The tea was surprisingly good too! Great environment and kind and attentive service. Highly recommend :)

The food is delicious and the service is quick, but it is a bit expensive. Chicken is halal this is what they said.

After a full day of going around Bath, I wanted to have a hearty Thai meal and found just that at Thaikun. The portion size of a curry and jasmine rice was reasonably large for one person. I ordered a Thai green curry with prawn and jasmine rice. Both the curry and rice were aromatic and delicious. I would definitely pay another visit to try out their other dishes. The staff were very courteous. I faced some issues with my card and they were quite patient with it.

Great menu, plenty of clearly labelled vegan options. Food was good, staff were great and decor is fun.

Absolutely loved this place, funky decor and great laid back atmosphere. The staff are are really friendly and the service was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, I had a duck dish from their specials which was so good, my wife really enjoyed her dish as well, singha on draught was so refreshing, ice cold, you can order it by the stein or even bigger. Brilliant quirky place, highly recommended. Patty who served us was fantastic.

We spotted this during a trip to Bath and went back for dinner. The staff are really polite and attentive without being too in your face (Milly) The food was fresh and the wait wasn’t too long. It was also very authentic and the cocktails were a great bit of fun too. The look and theme of the place was also great as was the atmosphere, like being I a little corner of Thailand. Highly recommend to everyone

Amazing authentic Thai experience, the service, decor and food really takes you back to being in the incredible Thailand. Sea looked after us and throughout of visit she was engaging, fun and friendly. We had many dishes between 4 of us and all were so delicious! Plenty of options for vegetarians and delicious cocktails too. If you love everything about Thailand I highly recommend a visit here!

This was such a cool place and all staff wore amazing funky shirts! The food was great, rich flavours and really tasty. The interior of this restaurant is fantastic as well. Staff brilliant and the atmosphere was excellent. I look forward to visiting Bath again soon and coming back to eat here 100%

This was our second time. Last time we visited was in 2019. The only difference felt was the hospitality. The interior takes you back to old Thailand. The quirk in the environment will wow you at the very first glance. The food is amazingly authentic. We ordered: - Crispy Calamari, prawn tempura, Tom yum goong and papaya salad for starters - spicy basil rice with minced chicken, southern style chicken stir fry, chicken katsu curry and jasmine rice for mains - Mango sticky rice, and coconut ice cream The food were simple yet bursting with flavours. The coconut ice cream needed some shredded coconut and toasted peanuts. Other than that the food was absolutely spot on. Waiting Staff could have been a little bit warm and welcoming. I’d highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Note: Only the Chicken served at the restaurant is Halal. However, they sell alcohol.

We visited as a family of four—two adults and two kids—and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming from start to finish. The hosts were unwelcoming and borderline rude, which made us feel uncomfortable right away. Service felt rushed, impersonal, and completely lacking in warmth, which was especially disappointing for a family visit. The food was standard, low-quality chain restaurant fare—bland, forgettable, and not worth the pric. Staff were definitely the most lacking factor, closely followed by the poor quality of the food. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

As a Thai person, I highly recommend this restaurant. The flavors are authentic, just like eating in Thailand. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a traditional Thai style. The staff are attentive and provide great recommendations, and the food arrives quickly. The food is very delicious. It's like you're not eating in England. And most importantly, I really like the decoration of the shop. The staff gave good advice. This meal is extremely delicious.

The tase is great. Authentic Thai food with a little bit modification to suit British taste. Papaya Salad is the best. Pinto sharing feast consists a lot of great dishes. อร่อยครับ ส้มตำอร่อยมาก เผ็ดใช้ได้

Authentic Thai food experience. The staff was polite and helpful. The ambience was great and the decor was quite extraordinary. Extensive food menu. We had ordered for seafood pad thai, duck with jasmine rice. All the items were delicious. Dessert with mango sticky rice brought back Thailand trip memories. Highly recommended place.

This is the 3rd time I've been to Thaikhun and honestly it's one of the best thai food I've had in the UK - their mango stikcy rice is to die for! Patty was super helpful and gave great suggestions on portions. Would defo re-visit if I'm ever in town again.

I love the spicy thai fried rice with pork belly

Went for lunch quite busy we ordered many dishes but still got foods quite quick. Which is I’m happy Well done chefs 👍. Most of food are tasty but I’m sorry have to point out its only one dish too salty. Staff are polite good service.

Enjoyed a delicious Thai meal here, having enjoyed the Oxford branch previously. We had a few small plates to share as well as a main dish each. Coconut prawns were nice, tamarind chicken was delicious, chicken and prawn toast was lovely too. We were looked after by Sea, she gave us great service. The only reason this isn’t a five star review is that the Pad Thai dish was a little bland and had much less tamarind flavour than the same dish in Oxford. But otherwise, great!

Absolutely amazing food- we ordered the pineapple fried rice and seafood udon- exceptionally amazing pineapple fried rice- loved the flavour and the pineapple surprisingly complemented the rice! The seafood in the udon was very fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend- it exceeded our expectations 👍

Thaikhun is my favourite Thai restaurant in Bath. I just had a fantastic birthday meal with my family, a real variety of food and strong flavours. Our waitress Sea was lovely as well. I would definitely recommend going here!

If i could give this an extra star i would, As a teenager wanting a nice lunch with my friends i recommend this place 100%!! The service is fast and they go out of their way to give you what they want, The staff I would like to say Sea who served me has done a great job and gave me and my friends a amazing time and I think she should get recognised for her outstanding attitude to working.

I recently visited Thaikun and had an amazing dining experience, largely thanks to our lovely server, Pi Sea. She was incredibly charming and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. Pi Sea’s excellent service truly enhanced our experience at Thaikun. Highly recommend visiting and asking for her – she’s fantastic!

Food and drink were both incredible, with loads of options for people with dietary requirements.

Food we ordered we sadly didn’t enjoy, others may have liked it but it really wasn’t tasty for us. Last time we came food was outstanding that said they squeezed us in today whilst very busy which we appreciated. The chair was uncomfortable and table was small, they were very lovely staff as always but food wasn’t at all enjoyable.

Always stop by here for lunch when in Bath. Not the cheapest but it's the best! Recommended.

loved this spot and left a 5 star review the first time i came. however came back recently and was disappointed by their inconsistency. all of us ordered the tom yam soup which i raved about. however some bowls came with more milk than others and all of the bowls tasted different? i’ve attached two pictures of the supposed same dish and look at the colour difference! also avoid the egg fried rice because it was absolutely tasteless. in fact i could almost taste a raw eggy taste and it was not appetising

Food was authentic, although it’s a bit too sweet for me but overall it’s delicious. The staff were really nice too, a very good start for 2025.

A woeful meal. The platter was ok, but the main meal was void of any flavour in any of the dishes. The sticky rice was a disaster - it comes in plastic bags like it is straight out of the microwave and cooked to still be raw. It's more like a hard bouncy ball than anything edible. When our plates were collected, the server was supr9ised at how much food we left, and we said it was unacceptable, but we still were given a bill for 97.00.

I ordered food and it was never delivered. They called me to say another rider had taken the food but they refused to make me another meal. Nor would they refund me. Incredibly poor service.

I had dinner here with a group of 10 family members. The staff were very helpful in getting us a table together, and the atmosphere felt quirky and quite authentic. There was some delay before we were asked for our drinks order, and the waitress didn't hide her impatience while some members of our party asked questions and took a while making their minds up. The food was very tasty however, and my wife and I will certainly be giving it another try in the future. All in all a fun place for good food - slightly let down by rather poor service.

Throughly satisfied my craving for thai food, a delicious bowl of tom yum, served quickly by courteous staff. The place looks amazing too and the atmosphere is great. We'll be stopping here again very soon!

The waitress was probably going home so she wasn't too interested in serving. Food very expensive for the quality offered. You can eat it, but don't expect a riot of flavors and aromas

Pathetic service, we waited for 30 minutes for our food, which included only 2 simple items. Upon enquiring, They said there is some mixup with the order and mentioned that the order is just on the way. We waited for 10 more minutes and we see that the customer who came 25 minutes after us are being served, but our order is not in sight. When we started leaving the lady behaved so rudely and lying about lots of customers and this is a usual waiting time. It is pathetic how they treat the customers.

Second visit 24.12.24 and still no better.... The pork dish was very dry and the chicken dish had the rice fried with the meat rather than separate with white rice and finally the pudding of mango sticky rice. The mango was old and brown. Absolutely terrible today...... 2923.....I ordered Papaya Salad/Somtam.... It arrived on a small metal tea tray which was grubby and chipped so the first thing I had to do was ask for a bowl to eat it from..... Then the tomatoes and the beans had not been crushed. So whoever pertained to make it didn't know what they were doing.... In addition, this was marked in the menu as 4 chilies so I was expecting at least 4 chillies when I got was one chili split in two so it was very very weak and a tiny portion....Better alternatives close by....

Only noodle menu was good part of the restaurant. Egg fried rice was not tasty, and especially the amount of pork belly was too little.

we are family of 9 and had a nice time at Thaikun Bath. the food is really nice and we had a free crackers too! Also, Sea and Jane were really lovely and helpful to serve us food and answer all our questions! thank you, we had a great time here. We will come to visit some time again for sure.

Friendly prompt service, delicious food served in big portions and a cool interior design with a lovely atmosphere. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our late lunch/dinner very much!

Nop was our waiter and was absolutely incredible so lovely and charming!!! The food was amazing had the king prawn pineapple and the chicken street noodles plus more!!! My family and I had the best time at Thaikhun. We are definitely coming back!!

Really nice food and good service too. My wife is gluten intolerant and when she mentioned this they produced a separate menu for her which had a really good selection of food, not just a few. The food we had was very good, decent size portions and nice and hot, (I know that should be a given but isn’t always). The pork strips were excellent. All of the staff we spoke to were very pleasant as well.

I came here a few weeks ago with my teenage son. We needed a meal quite quickly because we had to catch the bus to the park-and-ride. We mentioned this to ‘Sea’ on arrival and she said it would be no problem at all. The meal was served really quickly and as always it tasted delicious. We always come to this restaurant on a visit to Bath, I would definitely recommend.

For a city centre restaurant this was OK. Dish prices were reasonable, service was quick and the food was hot. I watched it being prepared in front of me. The Tom Yum was very very oily, essentially Tom Yum paste with added water. Drinkable but far from the best. The stir fry was very edible but again very heavy on soy sauce. It was busy with several groups so clearly popular

One of the best Thai Green Curry I've ever had. The rice was so light and fluffy also. My partner had the pork belly and said it was great too.

You won't want to skip this if you enjoy Asian cuisine. It's absolutely delicious and there are many dishes to choose from. The lovely receptionist is very warm and patient.

This was an outstanding meal. We had the pad Thai and a chicken katsu. The restaurant was wheelchair accessible, and the staff were considerate and accommodating around allergies. It was the best pad Thai I've ever had and I would highly recommend to anyone that they come here.

My first meal at Bath was amazing! The environment is perfect for a date, and Miss Pomme provided excellent service. She asked about our preferences and recommended dishes that suited us perfectly!

Walked in at 5.30 pm for early dinner and got shown the way to a table. When we were just ready to order, staff asked whether we could vacate the table by 6.15 pm, which I had much doubt and therefore left. Not a big problem for a Friday night, but only if they could inform me before I was seated.

Arrived. Stood at the front for five minutes, three waiters walked past me. No service. Walked out. Poor.

This restaurant in Bath is very authentic with the whole place decked out in Thai bits and bobs on the walls ceiling & everywhere you look! An open kitchen produces wonderful tasty food from the greater Thai region. Service was prompt & the menu simple to navigate. We had the full sharer for three. The dishes were delicious & plentiful & what we didn’t eat my daughter had it put up 4a takeaway. A great place to eat in my opinion
