The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Ordered meatball subway and got 2 pieces of pepperoni and salami and some cheese

Went for drinks in the evening in the winter. Was nice and cosy, and I'd like to go back to try the food and also see what it's like in the warmer, lighter months. Staff were friendly.

Excellent setting with many interesting features. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout. We went for the Sunday roasts which didn’t disappoint although we needed more gravy! Great atmosphere and tasty food.

Went to a Christmas meal in the week. No table decorations, I remember a few years ago a table cloth, crackers, napkins. Now nothing, vegetables and potatos frozen. Very disappointed. My friend whose vegetarian paying same price as full Christmas dinner, was only given a pie and peas and a few potatoes. Very disappointed. Good parking facilities. Friendly staff

As far as spoons go I think this one is fairly decent

A really good old fashioned pub. The menu is old school pub fair, "nowt poncy" just well made. The background music was proper vinyl on a turntable, with the whole album played. Our dog was given a treat before settling down to sleep in front of the fire 🔥😊.

Cracking pint , alas too late to have food , proper pub , well done 👏

I would just like to thank each and everyone of the staff at this amazing pub , they went above and beyond for my daughters 15th birthday, complementary starters which was a nice surprise , food was amazing big shout out to the chefs for an amazing meal , front of house service excellent, Thankyou Chrissy and her lovely team , went above and beyond I can’t Thank each and everyone of you enough for making my little girls birthday extra special, big shout out do Shawn absolute legend, much love ❤️❤️❤️

Great location and good price. Room was a little dated but had plenty of storage. Headboard on bed was badly stained (clean it with steam or change it) Staff that we dealt with was Ok. Did not have food or drinks here. A little noisy if you plan to go to bed early.

Fantastic food. Great service. Large portions. Would like to eat there every day if I could 😊

Family meal get together prior to Christmas We ordered two beef and one turkey roasts, Service was good considering how busy they were Drinks were and starters were brought out promptly and were very good, after a slight delay the mains were served sadly the beef was tough maybe the knives were a little blunt but even after requesting steak knives it was just not good, the flavour of all meals was supperb with large well cooked Yorkshire puds and crisp roast potatoes, good seasonal veg and flavoursome gravy Our server Carlie was attentive and very helpful We will be visiting again

Great setting and enjoyed the art gallery but disappointed with Roth Bar. Staff were disorganised so ordered at the bar in the end despite it being table service as nobody came. Food was expensive for what we received, the oil definitely needed changing for the fries!
