The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Stunning. Simply stunning. One of the finest meals I’ve ever had. And they serve Hawkstone cider on top. Do not hesitate to eat here. I can’t wait to go back.

We chose the Kings Arms for a get together and lunch with my cousins and two puppies. We booked a table in advance for Sunday Lunch for 9 of us. We were greeted by the friendly bar staff when we arrived ordered some drinks and were shown to our table in a private dining room (The Abbey Room). The menu choices were perfect for us and also included a vegetarian option. Our order was soon taken and it wasn’t long before Lunch was served. Everyone was very pleased with what they had ordered and the beef was absolutely perfect. The Dessert menu had something for everyone, including my wife who is dairy intolerant. In summary:- Fantastic Lunch, venue and service. Thank you to all the staff for making our get together memorable, and for all the right reasons 👏

Delicious food, mid-range price wise. Staff went above and beyond, made us feel very welcome - very dog-friendly so definitely worth a visit if you are staying on or close to Devon Hills Holiday Park.

Me and my husband came to visit Bibury for the day. We found this restaurant in Google. It's very close from the Awkward Hill. We love the service, the food and the décor. Highly recommended.

Good food and a lovely atmosphere

The coffee was great but the almond cake I ordered so very underwhelming. It tasted almost watery. The atmosphere was lacking also. The place was full but it felt cold and uncomfortable.

When it’s open it’s ok. Seems to be run as a hobby though because the opening times are haphazard at best. Rubbish wine choice. Only a few beers available. God knows when the CAMRA award was given. No chance now. Avoid this pub and go elsewhere.

Vine con un grupo de 10 amigos que reservaron esto hace un tiempo. No estaba seguro de cómo sería ya que algunas de las críticas son duras, pero esta fue una experiencia encantadora para nosotros. Habíamos ordenado de antemano, ya que estábamos en una conferencia y solo tenía tiempo limitado. Nos sentamos a esta mesa con las vistas gloriosas debajo de nosotros y nuestra comida llegó rápidamente. Tomé la terrina de jamón con pepinillo de piña y tostadas de masa madre. Deliciosa y generosa en tamaño. Otros disfrutaron de la sopa y el plato de langostinos de nuevo fue tan generoso que el destinatario estaba compartiendo alrededor! Mi brocheta de cordero era maravillosa tan tierna y sabrosa y de nuevo, una porción muy generosa. A eso se le sumó una salchicha merguez con cuscús y crema agria. Disfruté de cada bocado. Tuvimos una camarera amable y amable que nos atendió bien. Fue un gran almuerzo

This is NOT a restaurant but a self catering unit

It's a nice looking cafe, the coffee was good, the staff were friendly and kept apologising for how busy it was. Really enjoyed going there and would come back. It now seems we are also going to buy a lamp which was not something I planned when I came in.

There seems to be a bit of crossover here. There is The Lamb in Devizes and there is The Lamb in Urchfont. There are comments on here that mention both Lambs.

Not the first time I have been for lunch at the Pelican and it won't be the last. This pub is amazing and the menu choice has something for everyone. I've visited several times with friends and family and have always had a really good meal here. The staff are really helpful and if you are a dog owner this pub is dog friendly.

Thanks to all the staff at the Red Lion last Friday evening. They were absolutely rammed, but managed to fit the four of us in. My favourite pub in Weymouth, give it a go.

Great Sunday lunch for our group of 15. Nothing was too much trouble. Christie and her team were brilliant!! Highly recommend.
