It's a nice looking cafe, the coffee was good, the staff were friendly and kept apologising for how busy it was. Really enjoyed going there and would come back. It now seems we are also going to buy a lamp which was not something I planned when I came in.

Really upset and disappointed with what has become of Bristol Guild. I went in with my daughter and bought four boxes of chocolate as gifts for friends. Each was £7.50 for a box of 9 chocolates - a price I was willing to pay at the iconic Bristol Guild. My experience went quickly downhill as I approached the tills to pay - having been directed to the downstairs tills by another member of staff who informed me that they had green tissue wrapping paper. After paying, they refused to wrap the boxes arguing 'they don't do that for non-fragile items' and said they didn't have any green tissue paper even though it was clearly visible to both of us. They even seemed unwilling to take off the price tags when I asked if that were possible. They further argued that they didn't have time to gift wrap although there was only one other customer present in the store. I do hope this was an exception in terms of customer service otherwise it is hard to see how Bristol Guild will survive on the high street in the current climate. Rudest customer service staff I have encountered in years - sincerely disappointing.

Service just not good. Inflexible when they could not provide exactly what I wanted, even when alternatives were available. Then a hint of anger when I made suggestions for which I was prepared to pay extra. Shades of Basil Fawlty. No wonder we go to Amazon.

Service not good. Inflexible when they could not provide exactly what I wanted, even when alternatives were available. Then a hint of anger when I made polite suggestions for other options for which I was prepared to pay extra. Shades of Basil Fawlty. No wonder we go to Amazon. [ Two days later, this still angers me. The perfect birthday present in the shop window. But they have a slightly different item for sale at the counter, only it's just not quite right. It's the simplest thing to swap. AND I offer to pay more. Obstinate refusal, bordering on anger. We're always told to patronise local stores as they are struggling. I'm sorry, CUSTOMERS JUST WON'T. With service like this. we'll go to Amazon. ]

as it used to be. It is just for cake or snack now and when we went there were srill building problems. It probably reopened too soon. The restroom is better than before tho.

The Bristol Guild Café is currently closed - undergoing refurbishment It says it is scheduled to open in Autumn 2022 - but was closed on 24th October and there was still work going on. I am eagerly awaiting its reopening as it used to be a great place for coffee and to meet friends.

Precios razonables. ¿Qué más podrías querer?

Bristol Guild is a well-known and long established shop on Park Street, towards the top of the hill on the right. As well as their range of gifts, furnishings and luxury products they have an upstairs café, with a veranda, serving tasty light snacks and wholesome cakes. Usually quite light and airy, and a quiet spot to recover from the rigours of shopping in the vicinity.

The guild does really good and simple lunches. Our small group had soup, frittata and salad, and pie & salad. All were extremely good. The drinks were also good. Service extremely friendly.

Popped into the cafe whilst exploring the wonderful shop. We didn't have too much but the coffee was excellent and the cakes were pretty good as well.

Visited Bristol and had a splendid time at Guild, so many unique and quirky items to buy. Staff were helpful and approachable. Lots of ideas for gifts as well as for my home. I bought a fun greetings card, and 2 individual scarfs for me. Would have spent more but family keen to move onto the cafe. We had cake and coffee which was lovely and again staff were helpful and polite. The service was fine and we sat outside in the courtyard type garden. The gravel makes the tables/chairs a little wobbly but that just makes it different. The cafe and shop are very suitable for young, older, families or on your own. I will go back for sure

Had a lovely lunch at The Bristol Guild, as always, despite us getting there after the lunch rush and some items having sold out. The food is always fresh and tasty with good salad options, and portions are generous. The menu is simple and the food and cakes always popular. My only negative comment on this occasion was that we wiped the table with a serviette and it was black after, so the tables could do with a good wipe, even though they look clean generally.

I visited this café about a year ago and gave it a lukewarm review. I popped in to the Guild get a few presents and thought I would give it another try. The food is fine but the service was a bit chaotic and not really competent. There was a good selection of cakes. The soup had run out at 2pm even though they only opened at noon so the people in front of me were disappointed. Getting more bread and tomato salad from the kitchen seemed an adventure. There was a backlog for drinks and it all took far too long. I had had my scone when I paid but eventually had to go up and ask for my tea as I was running out of time to actually drink it. I think they have enough staff but they are not very organised. The staff are lovely but watching them operate is a bit painful – and not a relaxing experience. On the plus side there are toilets, plenty of room for larger groups and children and the cakes are a good size.

POSITIVES: 1. Great location on Park Street 2. Quiet with plenty of seating 3. Good range of desserts 4. Quick and polite service. 5. Browsing the associated shop (gourmet food, design furniture, jewellery) NEGATIVE: 1. Given the selection of gourmet food for sale in the main shop, the cafe display cabinets looked empty. Need more effort to make them more enticing. Would definitely go back.

Came here for a light lunch on a Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was - what a gem! Menu on first inspection was quite limited, however everything on the menu was of a great quality. Our main annoyance was the salt was refined and next to the till, not on the table.

Having not been to the Bristol Guild terrace cafe for many years, what a pleasant surprise to find a contemporary light airy space with simple clean lines. The outside tables and seating were kept very clean and the plants and trees well tended.

I was appalled at the service I recieved yesterday. I asked for the food to be warmed and I was served it stone cold. The place was filthy with waitresses and waiter looking hungover. I was so diappointed that I've written a letter to the manager. The food and hygienw standrds agency shoul be informed. The waitresses are usually really friendly but the usual ones weren't there. I will give it one more chance to redeem itself.

Disappointing – The Guild has a nice eating area and does some really good cakes. We popped in last Saturday. It was nearly 3pm and I acknowledge it was a bit late for lunch. I ordered soup and after a bit of time we discovered they had run out of soup. We then ordered the salad plate with bread. The server gave us the plate of salad but then said they had run out of bread. Both the servers were a bit hapless and neither offered any alternative – we just decided to find a better stocked restaurant. Get there earlier in the day !

I like to visit the cafe once a month for lunch. I love browsing the Guild for presents and for additions to my home such as art work. The menu is simple; wholesome; home made; super tasty. Delicious salads: wonderful pies and quiches; super yummy cakes. Excellent selection of refreshments. Next time you are shopping or meeting friends pop in.

My wife and I were visiting Bristol, and looking for a local cafe for a light lunch. We were browsing in the window of Guild, which is a very nice shop, and noticed they also had a cafe. We went upstairs and were really surprised at the seating options. You can sit outside, in the conservatory or fully indoors so it careers for all tastes and is a really nice location. My wife had the chicken and ham pie with salad which was well presented and a good sized portion. Only negative was they had been busy at lunchtime and run out of hot pies but no big issue. I had a cream tea which was very good - nice light scone. We would certainly go back

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon but all was calm inside. There are three seating areas: a conservatory, with plants, a secluded gravelled courtyard open to the sky, and lovely light-filled space inside, which we chose because it was the coolest on a hot day. The style of the café reflects the clean Scandi-modern style of the shop itself, from the oak wood-plank floor to the smart white melamine tables, the white matchboard ceiling and the sleek industrial lighting. We had a spring onion quiche which was delicious, more like a savoury cheesecake, a slice of tangy lemon syrup cake, and two pots of tea, Earl Gray and Lapsang, both served in generous stainless steel pots with spotless white cups. If we'd wanted coffee we could have had a choice of several different blends. There were some nice salads, too and of course, soup. It's a really lovely place.

The bristol guild cafe is truly a hidden treasure. Not a big menu, (excellent soup) with a good variety of salads, quiche and dessert items. Seating is available inside, but if it's sunny there is a lovely little quiet outside terrace which is perfect on a warm day. A delightful location for coffees and lunches,

We’re very fond of Beerd pizzas as a family. We ordered takeaway via Uber. Our order failed to arrive on two occasions. Language barrier and no local knowledge. On the third order, this time placed directly and collected by me the generous people at Beerd wouldn’t let me pay and gave us free tiramisu for desert. They hadn’t made any mistake at all themselves but just wanted to look after us as customers. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Bless you.

I was warned about the food here.. Needless to say, it was abysmal. Tough tiny scallop the size of your fingernail for £12! A joke. We had to send the schnitzel back, fully soggy, swimming in grease and tough. They apologised and took it off the bill. They forgot one of the dishes but we were happy because didn’t want anymore horrible food. Tiny portions and just everything was bad. So expensive for crap food. No wonder people don’t return.Main server was nice but quite pushy, pushing us to buy more & more. Didn’t like it. Won’t return
