When it’s open it’s ok. Seems to be run as a hobby though because the opening times are haphazard at best. Rubbish wine choice. Only a few beers available. God knows when the CAMRA award was given. No chance now. Avoid this pub and go elsewhere.

Possibly the best pie I've ever had. Lovely, friendly staff and owners. A relaxed atmosphere and a great choice of drinks. We'll definitely be back. Thank you 😊

Stopped in for pies for Sunday lunch. Reasonably quiet, but food (seven pies) took more than an hour to arrive. Had to order at the bar, which was not always easy when the same woman serving there was also delivering food from the kitchen, so quite often a reasonable wait to even order, and a queue would suddenly build up when patrons saw her appear. Food was very good when it did finally appear, but allow plenty of time for a visit here. Note: The venue will respond to facebook messages, but only if you send a second message after the automatic response to the first message.

What a fantastic pub and welcome, stopped here for lunch while out walking with friends. The food was great and the landlord was so friendly, we were sorry that we had to continue with our walk. The pub had such a lovely feeling, and cannot wait to go back.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. The 3 Shu pie comes strongly recommended it was absolutely delightful. My wife and daughter had the ham, egg and chips and really enjoyed it. A real pleasure to have such lovely ham rather than the plastic type ham you often get. The pub is very dog friendly and as a result was quite busy as the other pub in the village does not allow dogs. Will definitely return.

We live local and took friends there. Great service but prepared for a wait for your meals Had a great meal at local pub, with 2 friends. Sho pie and wine for 4 £74. 3 Horseshoes Frampton meals are fresh and cooked while you wait ( worth the wait) have a drink and enjoy the company. 4 of us had various delicious Sho pie lovely meal w ith a nice pastry top, and wine all in £74 for 4 . Friendly staff , comfortable dining area, in a lovely area. Too full for desert and definitely going again

The reviews, to put it mildly are very generous. I know the pub trade has had a tough time,,, But this pub needs help. On entry, a tired pub, with a basic selection of beers. The food menu, is grim reading, Food a teenager could whip up, warm up real easy. The best selection we made wasthe Cheesy nachos served with homemade salsa, guacamole and sour cream dip A good one to share and tasty. £7.95 My main, The unique, home-cooked 3 Shu Pie is made up of 3 different sections. In the first is bubbling cauliflower/broccoli cheese, the middle is made of creamy mashed potato with vegetables folded in and the final section is a choice of one of our delicious fillings In this case steak and Kidney all topped with a soggy Filo Pastry lid In reality, This ranks as the WORST PUB pie i have EVER been served. A 2 in one pie can work, 3 in one, No way ever. In this case, after lifting the naff filo lid, there is nothinf=g but stodge, The cauliuflower section is poor, The mash basic, and the bit you go for a meat pie, in this case steak and Kidney, total rip off, Maybe .50p of meat at most, Because its now less than a 1/3rd of the pie, it need to be damned good, the gravy runny and bland, The steak tiny sugar cude sized bits, ie i=f you took a decent sized chunk, cut it up, there would be enough for 2 pies i'd say. What brings this home was last week i was in Scarborough, And stopped at a petrol staion, Where i bought a £2 Steak pie to die for, It had 4 times the meat, And was a million times better than this £13.45 version. Sorry if sounding like a mad man, But steak and ale pies have to be right, its the law ! Our other meal was the Frozen beer battered haddock, 4/10 The Kitchen was ULTRA Slow, So if planning a get together, bring a party game or something

was served by a very rude young lady believe her name was Zoe, she was short tempered, blunt and made us feel very uncomfortable.this used to be our favourite local go to pub, however i will not be returning after my recent encounter with this horrible young lady.

We arranged an after wedding party here May 20th. We were absolutely blown away by the food and service w received. We cannot thank Jes, James and the team for looking after us. BTW the beer and Shu pies are pretty amazing too!

A quaint, traditional pub on the village green. It's style and rustic charm looks unchanged since the 70's. This is what makes it attractive. Serving 'home-cooked' pies rather than the usual 'chain-pub' affairs, is certainly a welcome. We ordered a couple of beers (1.5x pints), 2x pies and 1x chips. £37. Sadly, the 'charm' soon wore off. The pies took literally 1hr to arrive. They are nice, large and with a rustic top crust (no-sides). I believe these are called 'pot-pies'. Sadly, the pie is made up of three-quarters, mash-potato and so not really THAT good value. The remaining quarter, we had the veggie-haggis and the mushroom / leek versions, was very tasty. Had there been more of this filling then I would certainly recommend and re-visit. The small bar was 'manned' by just the one staff member and so again, took an age to be served and later, to pay. Obvs what they do seems to work on a business level but I think a fair few people would come away disappointed.

Relatively short menu but most people come for the pies. We enjoyed ours although a touch disappointed by the quantity of meat in the large size. We would certainly return to try a different version. A couple of things to improve which are not deal-breakers. The lounge was quite cold, with no fire lit. Don't mind ordering at the bar, but nobody showed up to serve for 10 minutes: surprising as the pub was no more than half full.

To me, the best way to find out how good a pub or restaurant’s food is, is to have a pie. I’ve had pies in Dorset, Hampshire & now across Gloucester. Their signature ‘3 Shu Pie’ is easily the best country meal I’ve ever eaten. The cauliflower/broccoli cheese inside was so perfect, I won’t be telling anyone before Christmas just so it doesn’t ruin the bar for any home-made recipes! The mash potato and veg section was lovely & complimented my option of the added well cooked & seasoned Game (pheasant, rabbit & duck) topped by the perfectly balanced crisp & fluffy pie lid. Very much worth the reasonably short cooking wait & incredibly reasonable price. I am now nervous about eating my next meal elsewhere knowing it’ll negate my current palate. Topping this off with a glass of seasonal mulled wine & a warm welcome plus entertaining conversation with Erica made a memorable day especially so close to Christmas. Can’t wait to visit again soon & I’ll be bringing more people :)

Just finished our trip to the Three Horseshoes Pub. What can I say….. it was amazing. The three shoe pies are AMAZING - great choice, quality & quantity. The team are so welcoming and friendly. Although it takes us an hour to get here, we always do & never regret it!! The bar area is very cosy (especially when the fire is lit) and pooch friendly. All the locals make you feel very welcome and will chat for hours. I honestly cannot say a bad word.

Very unfriendly barmaid l have lived in the village for 22 years and have visited the pub very often but today l found the barmaid very unfriendly throwing bottles into the bin not saying hello and no smile, would not be visiting again soon.

We were able to pre-order. The pies were full of flavour and my all time favorite treacle sponge and custard were delicious and the barman was brilliant, highly recommend.

A fabulous location. The staff are wonderfully welcoming. We sat in their surprisingly large garden. With under cover or open seating. Boule pitch and beautiful planting. The food was delicious, everything fresh and cooked to perfection. Guest beers are offered, but this is the West Country, so we had the local cider, .Lovely. Frampton on Severn is a beautiful quintessential English village. Thatched cottages and cricket on the green. Couldn’t ask for more

Warm welcome although it's been a while since in the area again. Prompt service with established menu in refurbished area adjusted to Covid precautions. Delicious very hot food, dishes we have not seen elsewhere.

Este fue nuestro primer almuerzo en un pub en muchos meses y al principio nos impresionaron las estrictas medidas de seguridad de Covid que se estaban aplicando estrictamente. Esto no distrajo de ninguna manera la agradable experiencia de visitar este encantador pub y el tipo que nos atendió nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Siempre buscando lugares fuera de la M 5 cuando el tráfico es malo y vi Frampton en el Green. Parece un largo camino, pero está a solo 5 minutos en coche desde la salida 13 de la M 5. The Three Horseshoes es un lugar amigable y se siguen las reglas de Covid - 19, por lo que nos sentimos bastante seguros. Sus pasteles especiales son encantadores, pero solo pida el tamaño estándar a menos que tenga mucha hambre. El plato de tarta se rellena con una deliciosa salsa de patatas, verduras y queso por un lado y una opción por el otro. Se remata con una costra de hojaldre muy ligera. Las otras comidas eran igual de buenas y recién hechas. Precioso jardín en la parte trasera. El estacionamiento puede ser un poco complicado, pero está bien. El pueblo de los alrededores es muy bonito. Justo al final de la calle hay un vivero de plantas raras Pan Global si te gustan ese tipo de cosas. Te recomendaría este pub y no es caro. Curiosamente, había pudín de Navidad para el postre a mediados de septiembre, pero bueno, no puedes tener suficiente de algo bueno.

This is a gem of a traditional local with outstanding '3 shu pies', - choux pastry from the 3 horseshoes. The pies are second to none with a massive range of flavours from veggie to steak, complete in themselves with fabulous vegetables and a lair of cauliflower cheese. Two of us had the fish pies and one a steak. No room for desserts, so we finished with a coffee.

The landlady was friendly and helpful. Lovely pub with great food and drink. Cosy front bar and back bar to suit larger groups.

Una vez que logramos estacionar nuestro automóvil lo más cerca que pudimos ir al pub (con amigos con problemas de movilidad) no fue culpa del pub, sino de un mal estacionamiento en el área, recibimos una cálida bienvenida. Buena selección de cervezas y otras bebidas y un menú acogedor. Un lugar realmente amigable, todos los que vinieron nos hablaron. Sin duda volveremos.

Llamado el viernes a mediodía a la 1 pm. Esperaba una multitud habitual de los viernes a la hora del almuerzo, pero estaba vacía aparte de una pareja con un perro. Dos caballeros llegaron detrás de nosotros. Ellos y nosotros pedimos comida, 3 tartas Shu y una tortilla. La comida tardó 50 minutos en ser servida. Me dieron una cuchara para mi pastel. Una corteza de hojaldre decente, recién horneada no solo se colocó en la parte superior, tal vez eso representó los 50 minutos, sino que el relleno con puré y queso fue líquido, se derritió en la salsa, de ahí la cuchara, supongo, y el filete y el riñón fueron mínimos. . Estaba sabroso pero no era demasiado. La tortilla de mi esposa estaba tan seca que dejó los extremos. Decepcionante. Como pub de CAMRA del año, pensé que podría ser mejor.

Todo perfectamente preparado en una sabrosa salsa de queso. Simplemente delicioso y diferente. La elección de los rellenos fue bastante extensa y tal vez probaremos el pastel de haggis a continuación.Si está buscando una excelente comida sabrosa a un buen precio, no se sentirá decepcionado.No puedo esperar para volver y trabajar en la lista.

Excellent friendly pub on the edge of Frampton's famous green. Lovely cosy front bar with a warming fire, friendly dogs and their owners, local real ales, local musicians and wholesome filling food. Great on a chilly autumn evening and well worth the longish walk from our boat mooring on the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. A great place for lovers of traditional pubs.

The menu says "Three shus pie". I went with 8 friends and we had no idea what this might be.But it turns out that this is a puff-pastry-topped pie with three fillings - a meat, mashed potatoes and fresh veg in a cheese sauce.I had the small haggis pie. It was really quite big and was delicious. There were also chicken and steak versions AND a bigger pie for those with a keen hunger.Outside there are 2 boules pitches along with all the kit for a game. We played whilst they cooked our food.Lovely. I will definitely return.

Went yesterday with my son and husband. Mainly went for the 3 Shu pie. We had a veggie (Quorn), chicken and leek and steak and kidney. The veggie and chicken where both really enjoyed at the pub, very tasty.

We had a wonderful time here. We were a crowd of 14, with different wants and needs. We'd booked in advance, and all the food we'd ordered arrived as planned and on time. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The pub even catered for me at the last minute as I'd forgotten to bring my own soup (I have a very limited diet following mouth cancer treatment).

We have been back many times and are slowly working our way through their pie menu.

Had a surprise birthday lunch buffet for my husband and they laid on a fantastic spread. The pub is quaint and friendly and Eileen and her daughter are really helpful.

We recently visited the Three Horseshoes in Frampton on Severn. We booked for a lunch. We ate in the small restaurant behind the main bar area. The menu had a good selection of meals. Two of us ordered the same meal whilst the other two tried out the pubs renowned triple filled pies. We were asked if we wanted the normal or large. We ordered the normal size and struggled to eat the whole meal. I hate to think what the large one was like. It was delicious and very good value for money. Service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. Will definitely return.

Highest rating in the area and you can see why. Very pleasant little pub with great customer service and a delicious specialty, the 3 Shu pie: a huge portion and great value for money - tastiest pie I’ve ever eaten. Great for a Sunday lunch!

Just spent a couple of hours here after dinner but my husband could have spent the day. Just a nice place to be.

Nos recomendaron visitar, así que cuando tuvimos amigos especiales que lo visitamos, lo intentamos, y ¡guau! La recomendación fue correcta, deliciosa, muy abundante y cubierta con un maravilloso y ligero hojaldre. Todos teníamos diferentes variedades y todos excelentes. La cerveza y la sidra también eran buenas, pero luego son ganadores de los Premios CAMRA varios años seguidos. Pueblo encantador, realzado por esta joya.

Cuatro de nosotros llegamos sin previo aviso, a mitad de semana para el almuerzo. Tan tranquilo como uno podría esperar a principios de abril, aunque había algunos bebedores en el bar. Entramos en el pequeño salón en la parte trasera del pub. Selección de cervezas, sidras y vinos. Seleccionamos una buena variedad del menú disponible: jalfrazi, ensalada de queso, huevos de jamón y papas fritas, y un pastel de 3 zapatos. Todos muy contentos con su comida. El servicio era amable y alegre. Buen valor para el dinero.

Well what can I say about this beauty, we moved to one of the neighbouring villages on the island, ventured to this old looking village pub which is tucked away from the village green, great selection of Ales and ciders, staff all very friendly. You can’t go to The Three Horseshoes without trying the pies, amazing.

Have been to The Three Horseshoes many times and the food is absolutely superb every time. Everything is cooked to order and is worth waiting for. On our latest visit we ordered The 3 Shoes Steak and Landlord Pie, which is exceptional, and Ham, Egg and Chips which was delicious. The ham is the thickest slice I've ever seen with beautiful flavour. Amazing.

Just returned from a revisit to Frampton part of which was lunch at a pub new to us the 3 Shus. Very small and very old place at the far end of the Frampton Green. Parking is at a premium.

Visited the horseshoes today for the first time and we’ll definitely be back. Delicious homemade pies and other food. Good value for money and friendly welcome. Vegetarian options available as well. Pub has just been voted camra rural pub of the year for the second time.

Stayed at a local B&B; and walked across to the pub on a wet dark night. Received a warm welcome an sat by a lovely coal fire in the bar. We ordered Shu pies and these both arrived piping hot in a few minutes. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. It’s a CAMRA pub so washed the pie down with real ale and my wife had G&T; from a good selection. Was a rough and ready local pub, locals friendly.

January is supposed to be the blues within the calendar, when all is glum…….. and boring, so after a number of rescheduled dates we finally got to the Three Horse shoes in full gallop In mid-January, to disperse such nonsense……….

We visited this lovely pub in the summer by boat when it was 30+ degrees C we were unable to stay for a meal so we promised ourselves we would come back by car on a wet Saturday afternoon to try their famous Shu Pies. Well it was certainly worth the wait, we all had different Shu Pies. How splendid they were too, filled to the brim with superb chicken and mushroom, with creamy mash and very cheesy cauliflower cheese. Got to come back! We didn’t really want to leave. Nice to see so many dogs too, was a great atmosphere indeed. Will defiantly recommend to anyone a stop over here, thank you guys, see you again.

Had the Chicken, mushroom and pepper sauce 3 Shu Pie and it definitely lived up to the reputation, simply delicious! Beware the large is LARGE.

The minted lamb pie was stunning! I absolutely loved every mouthful! Real good home cooked food that was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! It’s a propper boozer too which if you’re a bit pompous go somewhere else! This place is one of the greatest finds I’ve ever had. I’ve cycled past it loads but chose to eat at other places that looked a bit nicer from the outside, how wrong could I be! With food like this that was a big mistake, their pies are so yummy you won’t be disappointed! If you are you’re very dumb and snobby.

It was our first time of entering this establishment, a little local village public house. We were very hungry, so although the carpet in the lounge was not inviting, due to a lot of crumbs on the floor at 12 noon we ordered food. Well the food made up for the environment. The pies we ordered were excellent, very tasty and hot.

We stopped here on a walk from Slimbridge to Frampton, after trying and failing to eat at the pub in Slimbridge but ALL their tables were reserved. We are SO glad we held out for food. We stepped in and felt welcome, it had a burning log fire and a good selection of drinks. We had the chicken jalfrezi and a pie - oh what a pie! It's the best pie I have ever eat. I chose game pie. The meat was falling apart inside, lots of veggies and mash and creamy cheesy cauliflower and broccoli. I NEED to go back again to work my way through the menu of pies, which apparently they are famed for!

This pub is so cute and has amazing pies, fire was lit, very attentive helpful staff who were more than happy to explain the local area to us. Local beers on tap, great food and I can't wait to return again!!

The 3 Shu pies are awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, there are no fries with the pie but you don't need them they're massive! The selection of drinks isn't extensive but does the job. Loved our trip here!

Popped in for a lunchtime pint on our 12 mile walk. Decided (wrongly) to go to the other pub, The Bell for lunch. Huge, huge mistake!!! The menu looked good. We will come back, honest.

Es una mezcla de experiencias, solo he tenido visitas tranquilas de adultos, pero también da la bienvenida a los niños, algunos tienen comidas y algunos juegos de computadora en el salón, una caja de juke y un televisor que, supongo, se enciende para el deporte. eventos. El salón en la parte posterior tiene una chimenea abierta con un área de tipo cómodo en frente y una variedad de mesas más atrás. Una advertencia: las sillas en el salón son las más incómodas en las que me he sentado, son muy cortas en el asiento. El personal es amable y acogedor. He probado la cerveza local, Uley, y es fabuloso. No estoy familiarizado con CAMRA pero hubiera pensado que habría más cervezas de barril en oferta si el pub tiene un premio de ellos. Los perros son bienvenidos en el área del bar y hay un perro de pub que está feliz de haber recogido la comida pero que no busca nada. Seguiré volviendo después de haber comprado recientemente un barco en la zona.

Qué agradable velada sentada junto al fuego metiendo las espléndidas 3 tartas Shu. Las tartas son una combinación deliciosa de tres rellenos abundantes, perfectos para una buena comida. La repostería es excelente, ligera y de gran sabor.

Visited the pub twice in a week as we were staying in the area. Main disappointment was the beer, they advertise as having been in the CAMRA guide for the past 6 years, not sure how, beer was very mediocre, not off but not clear! We also took the dog we were looking after into the pub and one of the locals decided it was OK to let his dog off the lead to wander round the pub not caring that our dog was not keen on other dogs and we kept her on the lead as all digs should be in pubs. Not considerate at all and would suggest the Landlord/lady politely request that dogs are kept on leads as not all dogs get on with each other, similar to human beings!!

Consiste en queso de coliflor, puré de papas con una variedad de verduras y, en mi caso, bistec y riñón, todo bajo una corteza de hojaldre. Mi esposa tenía cerdo y manzana. Hay al menos 8 otros rellenos de carne. Es una pena que vivamos a más de 200 kilómetros de distancia, ya que me encantaría probarlos todos.

What a summer! So to celebrate, the Shu Pie Club visited the three horse shoe pub in Frampton on Severnfor the late summer season, the sun always seems to shine on this village and where the sun rays beams downon this pub, to guide the hungry and thirsty punters….

We ordered three pies and after 1 hour and fifteen minutes waiting without a word from the staff we got our money back and went down the chip shop. Waited 10 minutes for freshly cooked fish and ate like kings. The place is understaffed and disorganised, shame really as we quite like the place. CAMRA rated. Good real ale.

Visited today on the way back to Gloucester the best pie I have had well done all lots of different pies to try in a very unique way of serving a meal in a pie

Great little pub, no nonsense, dog friendly, good drinks selection and the pie is amazing! Many different fillings to choose from and it never fails to impress, just requires a nap afterwards to digest!

We arrived on a rainy day with 5 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler and our dog. We arrived as soon as the pub opened at 1130 and ordered coffees and hot chocolate. We were served our drinks with a packet of chocolate biscuits as a welcome and free treat!
