Had friends from London to join us for an Easter meal which sadly did not meet our expectations.
All the meals were disappointing regarding taste, the (flavours of India shepherds pie was very bland with an almost non existent taste of India present. Next was the overpriced (Harissa chicken skewers) with a bland cous cous pitta bread and plain yoghurt, this once again had no taste and very much lacking that Harissa flavour.
The (long man beer battered cod) had very oily batter and finally the from the specials board the (chicken pie) arrived with a burnt crust and lacked flavour.
Overall we were very disappointed and feel the price charged does not reflect on the poor quality of food served up on this occasion.
We expected more.

Great little cafe! Does a great breakfast, and the staff are very friendly and VERY helpful: We got unexpectedly called out while waiting for our breakfast to be dished up, had to run and leave our drinks and everything. But they were really kind and gave us a fresh breakfast and drinks on our eventual return, all gratis. We were so grateful.
Will definitely be back again!
Absolutely stunning food! Might be one of the best Turkish restaurants we’ve tried.
Every dish was delicious and the quality was incredible.
Also the service was exceptional, really friendly and helpful staff.
Can’t wait to go back!
Reservado con una mujer tonta en el teléfono solo para descubrir que el lugar se quemó! El pub sabe más. Por suerte hablamos con un lugareño que nos informó del incendio de lo contrario hemos viajado por nada.
Just an average meal to be honest. Decent 'pub grub'- just a little run down and chaotic, hopefully this can be addressed at some point.
Would possibly return as the views were beautiful, it's just the pub itself wasn't amazing- and the lady serving behind the bar was extremely abrupt and rude.
We stopped here on a weekend visit to the Isle of Wight. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. It was lunch time. The ambience was
Just so perfectly right.
There were many folk having lunch. We had a pot of tea and hot chocolate. They have delicious treats on display. The muffin we had was simply heavenly. They do know how to treat their clients most royally.
Another exceptional Wedding Anniversary meal. We had pre requested the Chateaubriand and was as always exquisite which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner Ranka and all of the staff are always so welcoming and the service is always top quality. Many thanks also to head chef Jamie and his team for producing the finest quality food.
We've stopped here for a drink before but came back yesterday (26/04) for lunch with some friends. Parking is not easy but I guess that's because it's so popular. We had a lovely seat in the garden with great views, but the absolute joy was the waiter who served us in the garden, there wasn't anything that was to much of a problem for him and his attention to detail was excellent, friendly, cheerful and very knowledgable about any questions we asked about the food. He's a real asset to the pub and I hope they ahold onto him.
Everything about our visit today was superb! Stunning view of Sandown Bay helped by glorious weather. Both of my friends had accessibility needs and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, nothing was too much trouble and genuinely friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Am already planning my next visit. Go there, you won't be disappointed!
