Zorba Meze Grill in Tunbridge Wells

This was the most amazing lunch out I had in years. Incredible food and actually very affordable for the amount and quality. Service was very good and fast and a small order mistake was rectified immediately. It probably helped that we went at 4pm on a weekday when it wasn't busy at all. This place is a real gem in Tunbridge Wells.

We had a family meal here with young children included. One was three and had birthday balloons 🎈 and cake, so a special occasion. The staff made it special too. Lovely on all levels, and we would highly recommend it. I love this food because it is healthy and you always have such ample portions!

Love this food. The mixed starters are a great way to try a bit of everything and the wine is also lovely. I go here everytime I'm in T Wells!

Went for an impromptu lunch and had a fabulous meal. Incredible flavours and textures and generous servings so we had plenty to take home. Try the massive sharing platter but be warned that it is massive! The staff are lovely too. What's not to like?

Food was actually not so bad but portions like Michelin restaurant , overpriced too. Everywhere food on floor due to micro plates, atmosphere -fireplace on tv wall lol I wouldn't really back Unless drunk 😉

Amazing food! We stayed nearby in a hotel and didn’t fancy the hotel food, we ordered a set menu for 2. Best takeaway I’ve had! Food came quickly and was very hot, extremely tasty especially the mixed kebab, couldn’t recommend enough.

A restaurant we went to by chance. Definitely the best Mediterranean restaurant in Virginia, the food was delicious. It was a family run business and I liked it very much, both the smiling face and the attention. I highly recommend

Gave this place 5 stars just 3 months ago. Returned and had a completely different experience. My plate was taken away before I had finished my starter. For the mains to be put down immediately. This is not how you serve customers. Will not return however good the food is

Most delicious food. We were a party of 14 for my stepson’s 18th. The staff were efficient and accommodating in every way. Food arrived quickly and was divine. Everyone on the table enjoyed their food. Staff were friendly and attentive with my children and let us bring our own cake and eat it too! We shall be returning and bringing our friends in the near future!

Just been to Zorba tonight. A very pleasant meal in lovely surroundings. The staff were very helpful and it was very clean. It was also wonderfully warm on a very chilly night.

Amazing find! We visited TW for a few nights and randomly found this on google. Normally we see 5 star reviews and end up being disappointed but they’re completely true. We got a mixed grill (for two) and the chicken shish was the most moist, delicious chicken we’d EVER had! The cocktails were amazing and really fairly priced. The staff were attentive and friendly. The only negative was we felt the rice portion in the mixed grill was small for two people. Nevertheless, if we lived closer, we would be regulars!

If you go in a large group you have to pay a £10 deposit each up front. This “deposit” seems to be forgotten about on the night you visit because most of our group were charged the full price for their meal - what happened to the deposit??? Also, they don’t seem to be able to accommodate small groups within a large group wanting to pay separately. We tried explaining this to the waiter at the beginning but he could barely understand English so had to get the manager. He said we can sort it all out at the end. Everyone paid at the end (most with the “forgotten” deposit and then the person whose birthday it was, was approached by the manager and asked to pay an additional £56. We still can’t work out what that was for! The door I ordered was awful. I had Moussaka which was ok in itself but unfortunately it came swimming in the most awful tomato sauce so I couldn’t eat it. I ended up having a few chips that one of the children left. I tried to explain to the waiter that I would like another Moussaka, this time without half a gallon of tomato sauce all over it but again it seemed basic English escaped him and he took my plate away never to be seen again. I appreciate the restaurant was busy but a simple request of splitting a bill really shouldn’t be too much of a problem for any restaurant, I don’t care how busy they are. But to approach the person whose birthday it was and ask for MORE money when already our guests had been fleeced for their deposit is unforgivable.

Fabulous! The lamb ribs + mezze were perfect. We were visiting the town and were delighted to pick this restaurant for a late lunch. Thank you for the wonderful service and food!

This place is absolutely amazing. If you are in the area you have to try it. The restaurant has a lovely location in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. Mediterranean cuisine is about great taste and healthy food. If you step in the decorations and lights are making you feel calm and welcomed. The staff are lovely and eager to help. The place is very clean and tidy. The food is excellent made from fresh ingredients. Portions are considerable. Also Sunday they serve Sunday roast. We are looking forward to visiting this place again.

Excellent lunch today for over 20 member of Tunbridge Wells Wellbeing Walks group. Everyone enjoyed their food choices with generous portions, service was prompt, efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

It was nice. Had the chicken wing platter with Adana köfte aswell. Other Turkish restaurants give you free starters like unlimited bread, cacık and hummus which you have to pay here so our total was a lot.

Delicious and tasty food in a cozy lovely place. We had a dish for two, which was a mixed grill platter and the portions were very generous, our group was 3 people and we couldn't finish everything on the plate. The lamb chops were really good, the ribs just tasted amazing, the hummus had perfect texture and their pita bread was very soft and delicious. We received great service from the staff as well, who even helped us book a taxi when we were leaving. Highly recommend it!

The welcome, the service the food in fact everything was excellent. very quickly served considering they were very busy. we found it really good value and generous portions. the staff were friendly and engaging. we shall definitely go back very soon.

Everything about this place was great. Food was outstanding and what an ambience even on a Monday evening. Only thing is we did have to wait a fair bit for the mains but apart from that couldn't fault it will be back!

I have been coming here for years and it’s always been outstanding food and service 😍😍 so flavoursome and the staff are so friendly and attentive! I really reccomend the sharing platters they are such good value and you get to try a lot of different things! It can be expensive but I truly believe this is reflected in the quality of the food!! You won’t be disappointed!

First visit to this restaurant. We went for a family dinner. Turned up without reservations but we were welcomed and seated. We ordered mixed chicken sharing kebab. It was delicious and very tasty. Service is fast could be more smiley and friendly. The food was prepared quickly. It’s priced reasonably. Inside is modern, clean and interior is airy. It has a nice small outside area.

I was recently treated to an absolutely wonderful 50th birthday meal by my beautiful girlfriend ❤️ I was seriously impressed with the food and service at this fine establishment. Well done zorba! Will be returning another time for sure.

Great food, cocktails, service and atmosphere. I will say I ordered their takeaway once which came and was disappointing so I’d avoid that. But the food is delicious inside, it’s maintained to a high standard. Staff are so friendly and honestly it was lush!! Always pop in when we can

We had a birthday celebration there. The food was amazing . All the grilled mats were juicy and so filled with flavour . Loved it so much I drove 1 hour 40 minutes from Surrey to buy some for the family

I've been dining at Zorba with friends since I can remember and it’s always been a fantastic experience. The food is consistently delicious ( the pitta bread is 10/10 ), good value for money and the staff are incredibly friendly. Today , I visited for the first time since having my baby. Although any new mum will know this can be daunting, they made me feel comfortable and welcomed, and their changing facilities are the cleanest I've seen by far .They always remember us and our orders, making each visit feel special. A special shoutout to the gentleman who always serves us ( due to baby brain I have rudely forgotten his name at this time ) – his kindness and attention to detail are top-notch. Highly recommend Zorba for great food and exceptional service!

Having tried all the local Turkish restaurants numerous times, I can honestly say the food is the most delicious, authentic and tastiest I have eaten outside of Turkiye. However, when having ordered take away every week for some months, the service absolutely lets this place down. The staff are surly, unfriendly and the price changes each and every time we order, despite it being for the same thing. This time we were advised no phone cash orders in case it is not collected and price quoted was £4 more than a few days ago. Sorry Zorba’s you have lost our custom now, despite us loving your food, your service lets the kitchen down :(

Been here 3 times and they never disappoint. Me and my GF travelled to Turkey several times and been eating at different Turkish restaurants around the area, our conclusion is this one is the best around the area. Flavourful food with big portions, reasonably priced with good service. Would come back again and again.

We stopped at Zorba for a birthday lunch today. The food was of excellent quality and absolutely delicious. We mainly opted for the lunch menu and there is a good selection of dishes available ( although one family member fancied the Lamb chops ) Freshly cooked and well presented. The staff were highly courteous and considerate. The restaurant itself is lovely. I opted for the Seabass and a plate of Tabule as I have intolerances and it was excellent! 100% would recommend Zorba to anyone looking for stylish Turkish cuisine. Great job!

Been a few times but the last time was just okay. They seemed to be a little unsure about gluten free, and as two of us are intolerant it doesn't put us at ease. Additionally, we ordered sides but they said they had to come as starters as they were so busy. The food itself though as always was very tasty just the service was a little off this time. The cocktails are great but a little pricey.

I had Shish chicken takeaway from this restaurant and enjoyed it so much that I had the same again later in the week. Absolutely huge portion with perfectly cooked rice, salad and flatbread. Sometimes you just don’t fancy eating alone in a restaurant and this let me have the same fantastic food but without any fanfare and in my own time. Charming staff were very helpful. I might even eat in if I’m ever back in the area!

Had an early dinner at Zorba last Friday, this was my second visit and we were extremely happy with our experience. We were feeling hungry, opted for the chicken platter and mixed meze, the food was excellent and the portions were such that we still had a good doggybag to take away. The staff were very welcoming and our server Fred was extremely helpful and made our meal feel special.

Nice food and good quality. But, the tables can be a bit wider for a grill. It's a bit congested for four people when they order a sharer platter and a couple of other items.

Wonderful family meal with our son who loves Zorba chicken. We shared a platter and it was plenty of food for the 3 of us. Delicious food, great cocktails, superb wine selection, and a wonderful atmosphere, all at a great price. The staff are also faultless, friendly and great with kids

Spot on. Wanted a decent Turkish and that's what we got. Happy wife, happy life... we had the lamb and chicken patter. More food than we could eat. Kids were well catered for.

The mixed grill was amazing! Also the service was really fast. Their cocktails are seriously the best in Tunbridge Wells. I especially recommend the frozen daquiri. Everything was delicious. We will definitely come again.

Second time here, a year apart. First time was brilliant from service to atmosphere, second time not so much which was such a shame. Especially as the bill was £250 (for 7 admittedly but £250 is a lot of money). Service was slow, only one small piece of bread per person with the mixed starter so asked for more took nearly 15 minutes to come and was then cold and hard. Then our main course arrived whilst still eating our starter so we had to stop while they dumped the main on our table which was full of our half eaten starter. Food was just ok. Really not good enough. We were an early dinner (5:30 so they were not packed and had plenty of staff). Training needs to be had. I am an experienced caterer who is always supportive of staff so I am not being critical for no reason.

First time visit. The starters came out very quick but had to wait ages for mains, which wasn't good. The food was very good though and the service. The cocktail menu was the best I have seen for a while. Would go back.

I had a takeaway orders which I ordered chicken liver that sent me the chicken liver pate which is not the Turkish I called them back I did ask this is not on the menu they just say sorry what is wrong?

Thank you to the staff for a fabulous meal! The food was delicious, well cooked and plentiful. I typically really enjoy Turkish food but our meal here surpassed my expecting. We will definitely return when we're back in the area. The only slight niggle is that it very loud (echo) so not great for quiet discussions. Thank you again, see you next time!

I went to zobra with my family. I had booked table for 19:30. Thay ask me to wait for table which took 25 minutes. We ordered while we were waiting for the table, however, after 45 minutes we received our food. They bought complementary bread and dips with main meal. We were just looking other people enjoying their meal. Food was avarage. Never again.

This restaurant is seriously the best Turkish restaurant in Tunbridge Wells by far. The staff are friendly and the food is superb. Had a mixed cold meze and the then succulent lamb shish. Delicious!!

I ate there today with my girls. The room was not very warm, so i did not get comfortable as i was cold. The lamb{ mean dish) was not warm enough and the meat did not have any taste. Chicken was good. Moussaka was good but did not have much aubergines but perhaps it is the way it is done! Share starters were not great..Conclusion: i don't think i am going to rush to go back to Zorba unless someone invite me.

Am not a local but popped in today for lunch on way to a family event. Friendly, helpful staff; lovely atmosphere; delicious food. What a pleasant experience. Try the baba ghanoush! Yum!
