The best restaurants in Wycombe South East

Booked a while ago for a special birthday. We've been really looking forward to the culinary experience and having many Tom Kerridge books that have become our go to for superb recipes. Have to say we were disappointed on arrival,we didn't get that special welcome you would expect from a 2 star michelin establishment. The bar area was nice for a quick refreshment. After a pleasant stroll around Marlow we were shown to our room which was nice! Just nice,nothing more! On arrival for our evening meal we again sat in the bar area for a pre dinner drink. We ordered our 3 courses before being shown to our table which to be honest wasn't great,it was like a booth probably the worst table and very uncomfortable. I will touch briefly on the food which I would say was very underwhelming!! We are big foodies and like to eat out and enjoy good honest food. Have to say I'm surprised they have any michelin stars as the food was not at all what we anticipated,some elements were extremely salty and I know seasoning is key but this was too much,I look forward to your feed back on this and expect nothing more than it just wasn't to our taste!! We all agreed and being a birthday celebration the food was just OK and absolutely not worth the £175 per Person. All in all I wouldn't recommend which is ashame as this should have been a special treat.

Beautiful hotel. Bar food was lovely and all came fairly quietly considering we were a party of 9. Swimming pool was nice. Lovely setting. Great choice at breakfast.

Exceedingly disappointed after trying Malik's for the first time, and will be avoiding this in future. Not only was the service ridiculously slow with over 40 mins between courses, the seating was cramped, and the attitude of the head waiter towards other staff was unpleasant. The food is overpriced for the quality of what you receive, and food arrived over salted with so much ghee it left a bad taste for the rest of the evening. Considering we didn't have any drinks, over £100 for 3 people seemed a bit excessive for the poor quality and service. Not for us and overall an unhappy experience in a poorly run establishment.

Not impressed got given to things I didn’t order because they didn’t have it well call me then and tell me that don’t just guess what I want instead this has happened before and I have had a call from a different store

From the moment we stepped into The Crown we were given a lovely warm welcome! We took a table next to a warming fire which was much appreciated due to being -5 outside. Food was fabulous both choosing a main & dessert. Service impeccable. Really relaxed, friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again. Fantastic!

First visit since new management. Very warm welcome, perfectly kept beer. Able to choose from the full menu rather than just the lunchtime offering. The meals we had were superb with excellent value for money. We'll definitely be returning!

They must of been having a bad day because they are normally great but ordered last night took them over an hour after the delivery time they told us and when it finally arrived (after 3. Attempts at finding a delivery driver) the two tubs of coleslaw was missing ,no sorry for being late or missing items ,was just told by delivery company(Uber) they couldn't give me money back for the missing coleslaw because it didn't have a price ( but they sell it for &1.89 a tub) so I will probably not order from them again or use Uber because you pay extra for delivery and a service charge but they let us down

Feel like home,comfortable bed,very large spacious ,bright bedroom,cozy bathroom brand new fresh carpet,home made foods wich is delicious,cozy night with local friendly people,what do you want more,best break i had such long time,beautiful oldy country pub hotel ,middle of country ,just perfect

Good friendly Pub, large safe garden well away from the road. Serves food and large range of drinks.

Food took 30 minutes to come. Food was not cooked well. Nice employees but not worth coming here, except a lot better.
