Crowne Plaza in Wycombe

I stayed here to check out Marlow's great gastropubs and to get a taste of the English countryside without traveling too far out of London. This hotel is superbly located on the lake and has very peaceful views of the water as well as an excellent top notch restaurant. The staff from check in to the restaurant and the privately run fitness center (including a great sized pool, steam room and sauna) were so warm, welcoming and helpful. It is just a 20 minute easy walk to Marlow and a short cab ride to the surrounding towns of Bray and Maidenhead (I was on a gastronomy tour!). Rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable - they were also very roomy for standard rooms. Great value also. Would definitely stay here again!

Zofshan was absolutely amazing. The best massage I have ever had. She was so friendly and welcoming and put me at ease straight away. The actual massage was excellent and I feel like I am walking on air. I will definitely be back!

Been using this place for years, great place for a meeting, have breakfast/lunch also had some work and family stay - hotel is average for the price, food is the typical manufactured low cost hotel food, but ok and hotel but well located. they now have a new charging system for parking.. was intending to have lunch.. but the system is designed to trick you and forget.. so in a couple of weeks you get a nice surprise and a hefty fine.. generally you register on arrival this is on departure and I just know I’d forget after a good lunch with friends. we left and didn’t even manage to drink our drinks.. will never use again, pity these hotels introduce these parking systems to profit.. now in a nice country pub with plenty of parking!!

I live a 5 minute drive away but thought it would nice to book a spa night getaway, especially since I had enough points for a reward night. I was charged £23, the receptionist said it was an error and said she refunded it. It’s been 4 days since the charge posted, and 3 days since I’ve contacted the hotel about this and I have not received a refund nor a response. Also, if you are going to this hotel for just the spa, know that it’s pretty crowded. I was there for two hours waiting for the hot tub (fits only 4) and it never freed up. Sauna/steam room was also pretty busy with ~4-6 people in at a time, but the pool lanes only had 1-2 people each at a time so fairly open and it was warm Breakfast was awesome though! One star though because still have no idea what this £23 charge is and can’t get a response from the hotel.

My wife and I have had another wonderful experience at the Crowne Plaza Marlow. We came here 2 years ago for our 1st wedding anniversary and had an amazing experience. Therefore, we decided to return to for an early 30th birthday weekend away. Everyone was kind, polite and helpful. Food was delicious (we had an evening 3 course meal and afternoon tea) and the whole experience was just as outstanding as our previous visit. We travelled from Wales and the journey was well worth it! We will be returning in the future.

Me and my daughter went to the spa today for her birthday and I would highly recommend Zofahan her massages are incredible. It was the first time for me and I would go back 100 percent.

Lovely riverside location. Always fabulous staying here. The setting is great, fabulous pool area. The food and drinks not the cheapest and sadly the outdoor hot tub is usually not working....

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Marlow for a night and had a fantastic time. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. As I had Diamond status with IHG I was given a complimentary upgrade which was greatly appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. It was nice and quiet too, so I had a great nights sleep. The location of the hotel is around a 20 minute walk to central Marlow, or a 5 minute car ride. It might not be the most convenient location, but it is nice and quiet, and has a nice outlook. I stopped in their on-site restaurant for dinner on the night I stayed and really enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was also fantastic, with a great selection. I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Marlow to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Marlow.

We absolutely love it there. Mt kids love the pool and breakfast is amazing. We had dinner one night had chicken madras hotttttt. Staff all lovely and make it special for my family.

Great hotel. Very pleasant staff and very helpful. The restaurant for breakfast was fantastic and of great quality, plenty of variety. Superb room with plenty of space and complete with balcony. As an added Extra touch my wife was delivered via room service with birthday cake decorated with birthday wishes on the plate.

During my stay I had the most amazing Hot Stone massage with Zofshan . It was honestly incredible. Thank you so much for an amazing experience. If I come back I will 100% ask for you again .

The welcome started before I even got to the door. Lively, courteous staff. Brilliant English breakfast. The rooms are very large and well equipped. Hair dryer bit lication is weird as plugged in next to tv, not near a mirror for wifey. Overall though everything you would expect from a Crowne Plaza.

We had a long awaited Christmas girls weekend. The hotel rooms are presentable and spacious. The swimming pool and spa facilities are OK. The food, however, was very unpleasant. The dishes were very disappointing. Nobody enjoyed the food and there were missing items - but by the time they were served everything was even more cold and off putting. The waiting staff did their best and could not fault them. They were doing their best. When we filed a complaint in the morning, we were faced with resistance to apologise and the staff were utterly reluctant to compensate for the disappointment. We will never return nor recommend.

The hotel is a great value for money. We were impressed with the spacious room, the cleanliness standard and great breakfast quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to enjoy the spa before we checked out, hopefully next time. It did have the great combination of modern-relaxed and elegant vibes. Thanks for the great experience.

I used this hotel thanks to a voucher that included a massage, overnight stay, dinner and breakfast. Nice renovated room, some elements didn't fit, such as a very old telephone, a small plastic kettle that kept getting hot and didn't turn itself off. Unfortunately, there was no peace in the garden because there was an Indian wedding at that time and the music was loud. Fortunately, the room was located in another wing. Helpful and nice staff. The food is delicious Massage lasting 30 minutes, average There is an on-site swimming pool and gym

From the moment we arrived to the time we left its been great service…. We checked in early and was greeted with absolute professionalism, the lovely lady even sent up the sweet treats to the room… after chilling in a very spacious room, me and my husband brought some drinks and enjoyed the beautiful views out by the lake by far the selling point of everything, we went back to buy more drinks and met abhi who i must say is an absolute delight to talk with and a credit to the company…. Its the smalls things that make the big difference and he remember my husband been vegan and held him a menu for dinner. We went for a swim and hot tub and sauna the young lady on the desk (didnt take her name but lightskin was on the desk at 5/6pm)was so lovely and accommodating and credit to the company. We went for dinner and abhi talked us through recommendations and i must say dinner was 10/10… Beeakfast was ok sausages was little dry but everything else fresh and tasty. Overall this is my top spot for hotel stay and no doubt will be back esp in summer months. I hope abhi and young lady at the spa side are recognised for the above and beyond work

A wonderful hotel in every sense, calm and sophistication, and God willing, I will return to it for relaxation and a fabulous view. The staff are very friendly, especially the employee Mohieddin Muslim, who tells you the appropriate food and the hotel’s restaurant is special and has halal food, especially Indian.

My first massage at crown plaza has been a wonderful experience and very much needed. My lovely therapist Rubenilde was amazing and would love to come see her daily in ten years time.

Great stay at Crowne plaza marlow, received a voucher and decided to book this spa. The rooms were so clean, we decided to order room service instead of eating in the restaurant and was surprised at the quality and how nice the food was (usually room service can be hit and miss) and staff were very friendly. I had a lovely massage by Zefshan, thanks for your great service! I would say the spa area is quite sad looking, hot tub and pool could have a revamp and potentially have times children can swim as there was a lot of screaming in the pool during our stay. The spa has a lovely outside area if warm too! Thanks!

Hotel just been refurbished and you can really notice this fresh and clean look&feel. Close to Marlow high street, 30min stroll or approx 7min drive. There you can find some nice restaurants and cafes.

A quiet dull hotel with a small lake view at the back, near an industrial zone. After checking in we were told that we’ll be given a sweet treat at 17.30 but that came after 1hr, which wasn’t worth the wait as it was 2 small sweet cubes. Couldn’t use the swimming pool as it closes at 20.00. Dinner was rubbish if you choose from the British menu for starter there was Salmon in some sauce which was just a mouthful and main there chicken with stuffing and a bone sticking out at the end with a rectangular burnt piece of potato with some sauce but the Indian menu was very good which we had to pay another £40 as the British one was simply awful. Breakfast was good, it’s an open self service buffet with British fry up, tea, coffee, fruits, yogurt, croissant… Didn’t like the overall feel and stay at the hotel. Plus you pay £75 on top which they hold.

Absolutely outstanding service from Mandeep and Karim during our recent stay! Both were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. Their professionalism and warmth made our experience truly special. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for top-notch service!

I also had a very nice massage from Rubenilde, who I was going to review and give 5 stars anyway, but I was disappointed when she watched/made me input 5 stars and shout out her out in my review, in the treatment room (which I am now editing). This also explains why there are so many 5 star reviews for her below. This has left me with a sour feeling, though won’t affect the rest of my rating …

Just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. My advice is to not go. Firstly, I have to say the room was spotless, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely, and we had a really nice dinner there. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and kind. The issue was the spa. My scheduled treatments were changed without prior notification, despite booking them together over a month ago. I was informed of this change at 9 pm the day before my appointment, which did not allow me adequate time to adjust my plans. The massage I received was not a proper massage but rather a mere application of cream on my back, which was neither relaxing nor therapeutic. I was not consulted about pressure preferences, allergies, or informed about the use of hot stones, which caused discomfort. The facial treatment was similarly substandard, with minimal actual treatment and a lack of proper skincare procedures.Moreover, some of the cream ended up in my eyes, causing discomfort and further adding to my dissatisfaction. The lady also had long acrylic nails which went into my eye. The spa facilities appeared outdated and unhygienic, preventing me from using the pool due to concerns about cleanliness and safety. Upon voicing my concerns to the manager, I encountered a lack of empathy. The offer of £25 compensation felt inadequate considering the level of dissatisfaction and discomfort experienced. I am deeply disappointed by the overall experience and the managerial response, which failed to address the core issues adequately. As a valued customer, I expected a higher level of service quality and responsiveness to complaints. I would like to do a special mention to Viktoria who was very understanding and kind, and empathised with our situation. I did see other guests complaining at check out, so this seems to be an ongoing issue. They try and get every penny out of you.

Great relaxing massage from Rubenilde

We will never be staying at the crown plaza marlow ever. My husband and I rarely go away and this was our mini break after a long time. We were there over the Easter weekend. We encountered so many issues. We had someone else’s blood stains on the bedding. My husband and I were out we then decided to come back to the hotel to relax and I could sleep for a bit as I wasn’t feeling too well. So i was just about to get inside the bed to sleep and he would go to the spa. I saw these blood stains. I physically felt sick. Now how can house keeping not realise when putting on bedding there are blood stains on the bedding and let people sleep in that? I called reception and they said I will get house keeping to sort it out. I waited and waited for 30 mins then called reception again. Kareem eventually came after another 15mins, obviously this wasn’t important to them. I said I thought house keeping was sorting this out he said no house keeping don’t work at this time. So why did the first receptionist say house keeping will sort it out. Do they not know when house keeping are working and not working. We never got a sorry from the GM or to say what they will be doing about it. To date we’ve still not received an email back from the hotel. We were given a superking size bed but a double duvet because they didn’t have anymore superking size duvets available. You’re a hotel do you not have spares. Now we paid for that room. We should be given what we paid for and not a double on a superking size duvet. The time that was wasted never got a sorry for that and didn’t offer us anything. So I basically paid for blood stains on the bedding, unprofessional staff, breakfast was disgusting, didn’t get to relax as time was wasted sorting out the bedding. Our break was a disaster. The spa was really not a spa. What an absolute joke of a hotel. I would discourage people staying here. I’m still waiting for an email.

Rubenilde gave a fantastic massage

One of the worst experiences I've ever had from the customer service desk. I spent £100 on massages which didn't happen because they were fully booked (then refused to refund me), they overcharged me on checking out then charged me double for a bottle of wine. After which they promised me that the refund of £55 would come through - it's still yet to arrive and there's radio silence on their side (convenient). Avoid this place at all costs - rude, obnoxious and have no idea what customer service is. The whole experience was a complete money grab - spa facilities are very poor, the hairdryer is wired to the drawer, the battery pack is screwed onto the remote with a £50 fine sticker attached to it, the iron is wired to the ironing board and they don't even provide slippers for the spa.

Customer service good food good location lovely my stay would have been 4star had it not been for the £75 deposit per night which I wasn't aware of before my trip so on arrival £150 was held on my card for the 2 nights the first night another £49 was held the second night they tried to take another £159 after talking to the staff and my bank there answer was its a new system and its a error and will all be refunded once check out its now been 5 days since they took the deposit and its still pending in my bank I'm not by any means rich so having these funds sit in cyber space for 5 days is a joke I won't be returning because of this what should have been a relaxing weekend turned very stressful as the money I took for spending money was untouchable thanks to your system error and 5 days on and I'm still waiting for the funds to be put back 😢

Very good and professional service. Rooms are clean and modern. Shower was tiny, especially for a Suite. There was no rain-head and water pressure was poor. Breakfast was of mediocre quality and very limited choice.

We went to the hotel for a spa break. The staff were fantastic- very friendly. We ate there - a great range of European and Indian food.

Lovely massage by Rubenilde! She was amazing and made me feel so comfortable. Food at the Glaze was good. Mohi our server was really sweet and made our evening really special. The rooms were clean and a really good size. Only problem for me was you had to pay extra to get the room service food sent up which I couldn’t understand the logic of. Room service means service in the room. I had to go collect it from the restaurant and carry a heavy tray up to my room. Otherwise a lovely stay.
