Tiger Garden in Wycombe

I had a take away from hear this evening and it is one of the best curries I have had. Really friendly staff, good service and great food. Definitely going back!!

I went here on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy. The service was good. The food was good. We had a lot to eat and we're in and out within 90 minutes so if you want a quick curry that is very good this is the place to go.

Average curry at above average prices. Chutneys at 6 pound each ( the stuff that used to be complimentary), chicken tikka and sheek kebab starters at 8 pound each ( and they weren’t large ). Food was luke warm too. the list is endless. Prices increase at this restaurant on a seemingly constant basis and there are much better options in nearby Wycombe for delivery services - Best avoid in my opinion

Not one to leave a review but kind of had to….. Drove over to tiger garden which is over a 30 minute journey for me. Ordered two prawn purees, each with three prawns in, £9.95 a portion. I called the restaurant they said they didn’t believe it and they’d need to ask the chef so basically called me a liar lol. The whole order came to just under £100 rest of the food is all good I don’t need to lie about there being only three prawns in each portion. He said if I drove back over with the two prawn purées to prove it he would refund me so another hour drive for there mistake which id also been slightly accused of lieing about. Been a bit robbed don’t even want the rest of the food because of the treatment service etc which is a shame was told good things about this place hence driving 30 mins to get the food. To also be shut down over the phone and spoken to quite abruptly is so rude especially after this is there mistake and was treated like it was mine and that I’d lied is awful service. I calmly said you should be able to have a conversation about this and let him know I was recording the convo he slightly changed his attitude. But it’s still not good enough

I ordered on Deliveroo and it was fast delivery and came super hot but the Korma lacked flavour but it wasn’t the worst I’ve had. I still wouldn’t get again.

Fab meal, was staying in Marlow for the night and thought menu looked nice. Booked on line. Lovely meal, friendly, attentive staff. Would definately reccomend

Food was typical Indian?? Food. A little better than the norm. Staff were exceptional. Busy place but we didn’t have to wait long for any request. 10% service was well worth paying for. A bit pricy for a what it was.

Went for dinner last night and found the food quite average and very pricey for an Indian restaurant. The mixed grill lacked flavour and seasoning.

Papadum and tray selection the best but my main lamb meal the worst I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. The lamb was just a few small fatty bits, which were tough and had possibly been reheated over and over, not nice at all. When I mentioned it to the waiter, after he asked me if everything was ok, he said it was the dish and the way it was cooked and I need to ask for a different lamb dish in the future - pathetic excuse.

Excellent meal, slightly more upmarket, but excellent choice of menu. Normal Indian staples, but specialities as well. Well worth a visit. Lovely decoration. Attentive staff.

We were placed next to a very noisy group of people (large group) when there were plenty of other options open. The lamb was tough, the vegetables overcooked - not sure if this was a bad night but they need to know that small groups are just as important as large ones.

Fantastic take away - quick and reasonably priced - excellent quality. There is a degree of choice locally and this restaurant definitely tops. The manger and staff lovely too.

INEDIBLE FOOD - Ordered via Deliveroo and I can only guess they cook differently for that service. The food was APPALLING it was swimming in so much fat it looked like they had thrown meat into a pot of boiling Lard! The rice wasn’t even enough for two, we had to cook a microwave rice! Have eaten in this establishment many times and food has always been great. £40 for two isn’t cheap especially when inedible. Will never return as there have completely taken the p**s

This was a take away. For a restaurant which is supposed to be award winning they do not care when it comes to delivery. We placed an order for the restaurant to deliver not one of the many of the apps that offer delivery their driver. Food cold poppadoms stale onion baji stale. When emailed the did not even have the courteously to even respond. Have used the for 2 years and it has got worse.

I booked a table online (via Google maps!) late on a Thursday evening for a table for two the next day at 1900. The waiting area was busy with people waiting for orders and it was nice to see they were having a drink. This place is perfect, a proper curry house. We got to sit in the back room and despite another table of 4 idiots (who were talking loudly in that way people used to talk 30 years ago, talking in a weird accent to the staff and attempting to pronounce dishes in a pseudo Indian accent) we enjoyed the atmosphere. Anyway the food was delicious, my wife is vegetarian and I got to sample her dishes, all really nice. Staff were attentive but not pushy. My only issue was with the mushroom rice being a small portion, but we will definitely go again. As we left the main restaurant was rammed and we were glad we got to sit at the back.

Started a stag do here and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were attentive and dealt with 20 plus rowdy, hungry gents really well.

Nice staff, nice location, nice atmosphere. The least authentic and the most westernised Indian food, not in a good way. Bright food colouring, weak watery Dahl, poorly spiced food.

Called in without booking and it was no problem midweek. Good food and service.

We booked a table on a Saturday a week before Xmas, we were put on a tiny table by a post that gave us no room to move, practically on top of a large group table. The service was poor and the attitude of the management stank. Food was thrown down on the table with no care. When we complained, we were told 'what do you expect its busy as its near Xmas' really? what sort of customer service is that. Food was OK but will definitely not be returning. When I got home and looked at my emails it seems they cancelled our booking 10 mins before we arrived!!!!

Dropped in by virtue of parking close and it was the first I came across! Very nice dupiaza if not as spicy as I've had previously, but a very good meal, friendly service and good value.

Worst curry for as long as I can remember - dismal pickles luke warm breads awful lamb, chicken and woeful paneer. Service slow and rude not replacing items that were sub standard. Only too keen to give us the bill and and get rid of us - Marlow needs a better class of Indian restaurant.

Very good food and excellent service.

I ordered a takeaway having picked menu up from outside the restaurant. After a mixed meal of some good some very poor dishes, I checked the price on the menu to find I had been overcharged. On phoning up, I was told that I had ordered from an old menu and shoukd check prices online. I then tried to do this but couldn't get anywhere with the website. Disappointing - especially as based in a lively town.

Great Indian restaurant, quality way above average. I live in outer London and despite the wealth of Indian restaurants there I struggle to find anywhere as good as Tiger.

It's worth noting that we have eaten here many times before, and it has been great, however the food has gone downhill. The service was functional, and the impression they gave was trying to rush us through. The curry was dry (for a dansak!) and even the lime pickle, tasted like curry powder mixed with water and a thickener. Most of all, we both were ill Friday night and rather than start the weekend on a high, this wiped us both out all weekend. Food and service has gone downhill, won't be eating there again. Time for a change.

Rude Behaviour By one of Staff Member ,we requested to change our sitting plan after we finished our starters before even they started to serve main course and tables were all clear but one of staff member rudely denied he said NO NO NO NO 4 times , cant do that , cant give you food there i was like you have chairs and tables out in garden all empty no customers except us but still denied Which was completely fine we accepted but how can you talk like this to your customers Never seen this kind of behaviour ever in addition to this he was constantly asking have you finished your food although we were eating our starters and he asked twice your main course is ready will bring in few minutes , it was like he wanted to get rid off us , To be honest he ruined our evening . Je suis vraiment désolée car Tiger Garden était un de mes restaurants préférés à Marlow soit sur place ou à emporter. Voir un précédent commentaire de ma part. J'espère que ce n'est qu'une mauvaise expérience passagère. Le cadre est toujours très bien et le jardin refait est très beau. Les pappadums restent parfaits, le paratha aussi ainsi que le lassi. Mais l'assortiment de tandoori était très moyen pas comme d'habitude ainsi que le saumon jalfredi. Des problèmes en cuisine ? Mais le pire a été l'attitude plus que cavalière apparemment du manager qui nous a rappelé de manière inacceptable que nous devions être partis pour 14h00...Nous sommes partis bien sûr avant l'heure fatidique (pas de dessert ou de café).

Wonderful food, excellent service.

We hired the back area of this restaurant and had an amazing time. The owner / manager was great and let us use the garden area as well for in between courses. All of the staff were helpful and went above and beyond for customer service. The food was authentic and award winning. I would certainly recommend and use this restaurant again

Incredibly quick service for a take away at 21:15 in the evening on a busy Friday. Ordered and left with large meals for two people within 10 minutes. Staff were very friendly and polite. Food was delicious

Me and my partner chose to eat in this restaurant which looked very welcoming from the outside. Upon arrival we was greeted by a waiter who showed us to our table. We was asked for drinks and everything was ok. HOWEVER, the tables quickly turned, for the duration of our time in the restaurant, all of the waiters was watching the football on a small Android at the bar area. The noise from the phone over powered the music in the restaurant and the service was terrible! Not one of the staff was interested in their guests. We sat with empty plates for 10 minutes whilst all of the staff were watching the match! When the bill arrived, we saw that the service charge was already added. Due to our experience, we asked for this to be removed. The waiters response was like we had just spat in his face! NO apology what-so-ever! It even escalated into an argument whilst we was trying to leave the venue. Terrible experience and really rude staff. Will not be returning.

Great place, Great staff and brilliant food. Great range of dishes which are very flavoursome, Food arrives quickly and is always very good. Never had an issue with anything i have ordered. Tiger Garden is decently priced. It's my new go to Indian restaurant.

Great food and always a friendly welcome from the guys...probably why we've been going for 20 yrs!

Second time in the last few months have had a very pleasant and filling meal here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and look after you very well. Their chicken jalfreezi is amazingly good and spicy with many vegetables and succulent chicken. The chicken biryani’s out of this world and well worth a try!

Lovely curry with great service

I visted tiger garden in marlow this week and was expecting nice Indian food because it said exotic Indian cuisine outside. When I went inside it looked good and it was big. When we ordered the food it looked like the waiter was not understanding us but we were simply asking for chicken tikka masala. It was overpriced, for only 4 drinks it cost £20. We asked them to take the water jug back because we didn't drink it and they ignored us because they looked quite confused. So overall it was overpriced and quite disappointing.

The restaurant was fairly busy for 8pm on a Tuesday, with several people looking like they were in the area on business amongst several couples. I got a bit of a shock when I’d sat down and looked at the menu (should have checked outside). A simple meal of 2 papodums with chutney, a lamb dish, pilau rice and a pint of Kingfisher ended up as £28. £4.50 for the rice gives you an idea and I’m afraid to say it tasted like it might have been microwaved. The lamb bhunon was nicely spiced but had no depth of flavour and I said this when I was asked if everything was ok - the waiter asked if I wanted it hotter but that wasn’t the issue.

We went to celebrate a birthday, it was a Saturday and was busy which was nice to see. However not met or greeted just told to wait to be shown to our table quite abruptly never felt welcoming. Service was ok but waiters were clearing up around us and over us as we were eating our food. We were also charged for drinks we didn’t have and when we questioned it the response was was very rude and unwilling to even check, we just paid for it to avoid the fuss the waiter made . Food was ok but we won’t be coming back!! Definitely not worth the £37 service charge which was added to the bill

Just called to book a table for our family of five, as we live in Marlow and fancied a change from our usual fantastic Indian restaurants. Gentleman picked up the phone and exclaimed “we have no tables until after 9pm, goodbye.” and put the phone down before I could even speak! Back to the other great restaurants and service we’re used to! 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good chicken makhani, rest of food average and overpriced

Food was nice. Service and attitude of staff left a lot to be desired. Generally, the staff were not engaged with us and were quite brusk (food thrown on the table, no conversation etc.). When we pointed this out to the manager at the end of the night, he gave us some chocolates to make up for it.

Great selection of food and it was quality. Staff were very friendly and service was good..... shame about the annoying Northeners who thought they were gods gift to the world on the table next to us "I only want a man with a great physique" aye right you poisioned dwarf 🤣🤣

Food was amazing and the staff are fantastic

The food itself was nice to eat, but after we got home on Saturday night my husband and I started feeling ill and then had a terrible bout of food poisoning all night and the next day (pretty sure it was the tarka dhal). We didn't eat anything else the same all day apart from the meal out so we know it was that. I have contacted the restaurant but haven't had any response so far. Just think it is best to warn others!

Cracking meal with friends when visiting Marlow. Following a mix up with another restaurant booking for Friday night I called up Tiger Garden at around 6 o'clock to see if they could 'squeeze in' 12 people at 8pm. Well how obliging they were on the phone, all sorted in a matter of minutes. We were travelling from Little Marlow and had a few problems herding our party together, I called again just to let them know we were on our way albeit slightly late. Again, not an issue. On arrival they had a lovely table set up for us near to their beautiful outdoor area, our table had plenty of room for all 12 of us. The staff were great and in no time we all had drinks and poppadum's with a selection of dips while we browsed their extensive menu. A selection of starters was ordered for the table and all of them very tasty indeed. I ordered off-menu for my main, a 'keema pathia' which was just perfect and no trouble for them to do! After settling up and heading out we were greeted by the wonderful staff furnishing us all with handfuls of Lindor Chocolate Truffles, and some great banter. Highly recommended and I for one will defiantly visit again the next time I'm in the area.

We had beautifully cooked food and served by friendly welcoming staff. I rarely leave reviews but this was the nicest meal I've had for a long time. Definitely reccomend and looking forward to my next visit.

First visit did not disappear. Food was very tasty and portions adequate. Washed down with a lovely cold pint of Kingfisher.

Food was really good. After a long time I had good tasteful Indian food. I tried grilled salmon. It was grilled very nicely and had balanced spices. Nan bread was soft and crisp. I will recomend the food there.

Really enjoyed the food although it could have been a little spicier. The service was excellent

It is ok. I was expecting something special so was slightly disappointed. My husband and I had a total of 6 dishes between us across starters and mains and just 1 of those dishes were something we would order again. I also felt service was just OK. Waiters did what you expect a waiter to do, but weren't amazingly friendly, but were also definitely not rude. An ok dining experience all round, just as well my date was with someone special.

Good food and very good service i will back again

We have used Tiger Garden over the years but maybe not again...We ordered for six in two lots, which was collected by my son in law....The mixed tandoori starter was dreadful... all items were cold certainly not freshly cooked: one small and tasteless sheikh kebab, 4 small pieces of chicken tikka and six tiny pieces of pakora - all weighing 158 grams for £7.95.... shocking.... we live around 400 metres from Tiger Garden so it wouldn’t have gone cold on the way home.... it was all dry, no coriander etc. The rest of the meal was OK but spoilt by the poor start.... hopefully a refund will be forthcoming otherwise we will be going elsewhere. There is now strong competition from Vassu!

Great tastie food with good service.

Food was good but the service wasn't great. You would ask for something and they would ignore or refuse you and so u would repeat yourself several times and then when they come back you can repeat yourself and finally get what u want. Very frustrating. I don't think I would go there again. Had better food and service in windsor and Cookham.

Waiters seemed hostile. Not very welcoming they were more concerned with getting us out before 2 so that they could close. Food was not spectacular.

Well managed and properly spaced tables for covid safety . The food was excellent , the service was quick and efficient . The staff were friendly and special bonus they had Tiger Beer . Regards Richard

This restaurant has had a few mentions on national radio thanks to a famous Marlow resident. As it was a quick walk from our accommodation we decided to try a takeaway. Excellent service and food. Prawn dishes can often be lacking in the key ingredient, not the case here. We were happy with the taste, quality and price of the food which is in keeping with the prices we pay normally.

Just had a take away from Tiger Garden, the tandoori chicken on the bone was not cooked blood was evident on all pieces of chicken it was quite disgusting. The prawn butterfly was dried up and hard.When we complained we were told to take the chicken and Prawn butterfly back to the restaurant which we did. They reimbursed us for the items we complained about, but the meal was ruined and we most certainly will not be ordering from them again

Food was average but massively overpriced, £1.50 for a popadum and £4.50 for a plain Naan. The coke and beer were flat and again massively over priced considering they come were literally just out of a 2l plastic bottle. Advertising a deal with £10 off per person outside but fail to tell you that it is "your job" to tell them their deals and promotions (doesn't state that on their board). When I complained the manager told me the bill had already been completed so if he was to honour it he would lose money, although found it perfectly acceptable for me to lose £20. At my request he did refund me the extortionate service charge they added which is a bit of a cheek considering the service was abysmal. Don't bother wasting your money.... much nicer places to eat in Marlow with much better service Edit: The response from the owner is a perfect example of the attitude from this restaurant when you are not satisfied with their "service"
