Absolutely 5 star service by the lovely chap working today. The only reason I’ve scored 4 stars is there was no veggie main option on the kids menu. Veggie nuggets stored in the freezer surely would be a quick and easy fix? Well maintained kids play area. Food was good quality.
For several months now, the ladies toilets here have been an embarrassing disgrace. One or other of the two cubicles has been repeatedly out of use. The left hand one has had a broken lock for weeks, along with a damaged toilet paper holder. On my last visit, the seat was inadequately fixed. The door stop ( behind the door) has been broken for months. Add to that a dirty floor and you have an unhygienic facility that is an insult to customers.
On my most recent visit at the start of service, the courtyard area outside was covered in litter and debris from the previous day - very uninviting. Surely Winchester Cathedral can do better than this?
This was a terrible place to visit, mainly due to the elderly irritating man (?Fred) running it. He kept interrupting us when we were talking between our group (with his uninteresting stories about himself). I could not work out whether he was drunk or he was just a strange human. The food was not very good and the coffee was weak (despite being assured that it was the best food and coffee in the country!). Needless to say, I will not return!
Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Really welcoming and friendly. Nice to be able to take the dogs in, the food was Devine and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went on Saturday and went back for Sunday lunch because we loved the food so much. Highly recommend
Came in with friends for a pint and a chat, quite a few locals in, all very friendly. Three hand pulls on, plus three lagers. I opted for the Proper Job and it was lovely. Great atmosphere and dogs were welcome. I'll definitely come back when I'm next visiting friends nearby.
Asked for a cup of tea. Presented with a mug of water and a diffuser. No milk - had to ask for it. No sugar - had to ask for it. No spoon - had to ask for it. Disappointing. See no reason to return any time soon.
Pizza was good, but it took a while to get here. It was when they said it Would come so I can't really complain. That was around an hour after ordering.
The fishers pond is now my favorite pub, the view of the pond. Nick our waiter made the experience at the fishers pond a fine dining experience. A true gentleman. You could taste the love in the food knowing it’s not thrown in a microwave. The pork belly was to die for. I asked who cooked our meal and it was Harry John. He deserves head chef as I could not fault a single thing! I’ll definitely be returning for my Sunday roast weekly! Thankyou very much nick and Harry!
I see someone moaning about the food coming at different times. Our server warned us about this at the beginning it is made at different chef stations and comes at different times. This in my experience is common in Asian countries. Generally the food is...
Tienen un poco de todo en cuanto a la comida, desde papas al horno hasta tés en crema. Y puedes sentarte y mirar los caballos también. Todos son muy amables también
