The food was lovely and we were served by a waiter by the name of Bertie who went above and beyond for us to have a lovely evening. He was incredibly attentive and friendly, thank you!

Fairly unimpressive. The kids were so excited and the decor is great but there seems to be some underlying issues. It was not busy as we came in early at 5pm.
25 minutes to get a menu, at least 8 items not available which was only an issue for adults, food arrived before our drinks which eventually arrived incorrect, food was decent though, we requested a menu again for desserts but after 15 minutes, no sign of it so we paid the bill and left for Kaspaās.
Seemed to be a similar story on other tables, eventually the people hearing the unavailable items just left without ordering. In hindsight, this probably would have been our best bet. Such a shame.
I met with my 3 bridesmaids to discuss all things wedding as i donāt live locally to them.
From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully. With a wonderful atmosphere between the team and with us.
As a restaurant attached to a hotel my expectation was low but we all came away smiling and feeling like weād all been looked after āŗļø
Since moving to Bishops Waltham I have found some lovely local shops and enjoy a wander around the HIgh Street, This Sweet Shop sadly in the exception !! I have taken my GrandChildren in there several times as the concept is great - a mixture of traditional old fashioned sweets in jars / chocolates and pick and mix = Plus ice cream . Sadly the experience is completely ruined by very unfriendly / unhelpful staff who are appear to be irritated by children ...... After our last visit I have decided that I am no longer prepared to put up with rudeness in order to buy sweets for the kids !
I was inspired to write this review by seeing a Greggs eating numpty slamming the place for price.
Yeah, they're not cheap but you're paying for quality ingredients and an amazing product which is value for money.
For less than a fiver you're getting a huge sweet treat with complex flavours, a very satisfying, delightfully flaky pastry and a very satisfying and filling experience.
If you want a hit of sugar and bland white, air filled bread? There are cheaper options! You won't get a limp chicken pasty here.
If you want extremely satisfying bread made with high quality flour and an amazing crust?
If you want tasty, sweet pastries with a delicious zing?
If you love good food rather than ultra processed?
Then this won't bust your budget and will fill you up.
The venue itself is a warehouse with some benches other branches are much nicer.
We were staying at Forest Holidays so chose this pub for our Sunday lunch and we were very pleased with our choice. The choice of drinks was excellent and the food was delicious. We didnāt have starters as we were aiming to leave room for dessert-it was not to be-lunch was so plentiful and portions were very generous and all the food was very well cooked. A lovely place and we will recommend the pub to reception at Forest Holidays.
A nice welcome here today when we arrived for our Sunday lunch. Staff polite & friendly. Service very good. Food nicely presented & tasty. Really enjoyed it & would recommend.
Only thing that would have made it perfect was to be a little warmer in the restaurant.š
