Costa Coffee in Winchester

A perfect spot for a leisurely lunch. In fairness, this hotel has been part of my family's celebrations, gatherings, weddings etc (through multiple hotel owners and chains) since about 1973. We keep coming back. Excellent staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Sunday lunch 12MAY2024.

Fairly unimpressive.The kids were so excited and the decor is great but there seems to be some underlying issues. It was not busy as we came in early at 5pm. 25 minutes to get a menu, at least 8 items not available which was only an issue for adults, food arrived before our drinks which eventually arrived incorrect, food was decent though, we requested a menu again for desserts but after 15 minutes, no sign of it so we paid the bill and left for Kaspa’s. Seemed to be a similar story on other tables, eventually the people hearing the unavailable items just left without ordering. In hindsight, this probably would have been our best bet. Such a shame.

Absolutely appalling just shewed away by some old member of staff sayign NO DOGS at my old dad whilst I disabled woman with assistant dog CLEARLY MARKED on her leash refused entry. I SHOP HERE EVERY WEEK. never again!!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour from one of your more senior members of staff. As a vulnerable disabled woman I will be making a complaint and never returning. Absolutely disgusted by your Starbucks staff member closing the door in our faces. Entirely rude and literally ILLEGAL to refuse service and assistant animals. SHAME on you.

I met with my 3 bridesmaids to discuss all things wedding as i don’t live locally to them. From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully. With a wonderful atmosphere between the team and with us. As a restaurant attached to a hotel my expectation was low but we all came away smiling and feeling like we’d all been looked after ☺️

Wake for over 70, excellent choice of buffet food, and replenished when low. Chef could not have been more helpful. Thank you for your service.
