The best restaurants in Wealden South East

Ordered a take away and having just moved to pevensey we had no menu or any idea it it would be any good. I phoned and asked for recommendations and dietary needs. They were very helpful and advised me on collection of what part of our meal I could not eat

Food was good, always enjpy the salad bar. I had the dirty bird burger. Was a bit dry but nothing a bit of the kicking Garlic sauce couldn't sort. Our server, a lovely lady called Sam, was lovely and made us feel at home by cracking jokes. She was super helpful and kind. A real credit to your business.

I should have spent my money on a tent, there would be more amenities. Shower did not work, flush on toilet sticks, window wedged open and single glazed meaning freezing room, couple of tea bags provided though no kettle, curtains didn't fit the broken window. Your car will nearly break upon entering the car park due to the crater in the road. Beer tasted like soap in the bar. Apart from that, absolutely brilliant.

Visited for dinner. The menu was very different from the one on their website, but still a good choice and great quality food, will ba back!

Wonderful place for excellent beer and convivial conversation. They don't serve food and have limited opening hours currently.

I’ve been to this place a few times now, when flying to and from Gatwick Airport. I’ve always been impressed by the staffs politeness and courtesy, going that extra mile. They are very dog friendly with treats at the bar, and water bowls provided. There has been a hansom, well behaved, and affectionate Australian kelpie dog there on a few of my visits. The rooms are reasonably priced have been consistently clean, tidy and comfortable during my stay. I would not hesitate to recommend The Plough Inn to any other traveller or patron.

We had a very special afternoon tea for a birthday celebration and the food and service was wonderful. Thank you We even left with take away boxes which was a real treat for later!

Absolutely incredible service throughout. Phones on a Sunday afternoon for a table booking of 18, no hassle at all, all booked within minutes. Very polite and friendly. Was asked if we could email over a pre order so they had everything in stock for our arrival and knowing was disappointed. Done this on Wednesday, due to eat on the Saturday. Manpreet called with updates to order and to check on how steaks should be cooked. Kept me upto date throughout process, very professional and also so friendly. Arrived yesterday at 4pm for our seating to be all done and ready, food arrived on the table between 4.15-4.30. Food was incredible, everyone enjoyed theirs, no complaints whatsoever from starters to sweets. Didn’t catch the names of the young lad and a lovely women in the restaurant, but both very nice, professional, nothing was to much effort. A real credit to the Buffalo Bills team. You should be very proud to have them. Even met the chef, nice guy, also very nice! I have to say, one of the best places I’ve been to eat in a VERY long time, that completely smashed the service, and food. You guys were awesome!! Thank you for making our little Pre Christmas gathering so enjoyable. And you will definitely see us in the near future. We all came from different parts including London and Crawley and it was so worth the travel. So thank you to all from all my family, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas. 🎄🥂

Booked for our double Birthday meal for Sunday Lunch, outstanding food, impeccable service (Fi and Dave working the floor were fantastic, totally on the ball) all in a welcoming, warm comfortable environment, like having Sunday Roast at home, but better, can’t rate The Brewers highly enough, 5* all the way.

we ordered a cheese pizza and it arrived as a ham and bacon pizza which our muslim friend cannot eat so we rang up to complain to see if we can get it swapped and we had a very rude manager on the phone raising his voice and telling us they couldn't do anything about it so we started to get a little loud back and the rude manager told us he will make a deal if we come to pick up the pizza he would make it for us if i could this place doesn’t deserve any stars

Awful food tasted terrible duck and pineapple was like stew with onions tin peas and carrots!! Char su pork so salty couldn't eat, special fried rice with prawns that were like rubber.
