This pub is my local and the ales are fantastic but just a word of warning that there is no longer lunch or dinner served except for special events....

Nearly walked past this pub..apparantly sign had blown down and not been replaced and not sure whether it was open.Decor very faded with very few customers and no atmosphere.on the plus side the beer was good with a good range available.Place just needs some TLC and could become a go to venue

We discovered this gem when we moved to the area a year ago. It's a proper old fashioned Ale pub frequented by locals, no juke boxes or piped music! Long may it continue.

Vivimos cerca de este pub así que es conveniente ir si nos apetece una bebida. A menudo hay cervezas bien cuidado, pero no consistentemente. La comida es un poco limitado. Popular entre los lugareños.

when you first arrive its like something out of one of those horror films where the pub goes quiet when the stranger turns up, but don't worry, just mention your interested in beer, and everything changes, they are experts, you name it they know about it, and after a small number of Belgian beers (never heard of before) I was really enjoying myself..

Visiting for the weekend we saw adverts for a beer festival and dropped in. Very good beer and friendly locals. Not a large place but managed to find a seat each visit. Only thing I would suggest is publishing the prices of the beers as all seemed different and some very expensive.

Very traditional style public house tucked away off the main road and as a result frequented by loyal locals. Good beer, friendly service and good clientele who talk. No tumbleweed here.

By sheer co-incidence we had Sunday lunch here on the same day as Richard the Third's remains were taken to rest at Leicester Cathedral. I say this as this traditional Sunday lunch would have suited him and his ancestor Henry 8th perfectly. A beautifully carved mound of rare roast beef that melted in the mouth plus a lavish selection of roast vegetables, the crispiest roast potatoes, superb yorkshire pudding ( ideal for Richard of York!)and lashings of red wine gravy. The temporary silence at the table said it all. Just superb. Being greedy by nature, we all opted for home made puddings too which completed the meal perfectly. With a couple of bottles of wine the unbelievable price was £25 per head. This could become a regukar treat for us this most traditional of pubs which was delightfully snd peacefully infant-free.

This is a great old style pub, it's small and cosy with a great outdoor seating area. Lovely for a few drinks and the food is great - recommend the nachos! Definitely worth a visit, but be careful, it's only open certain hours!

I'm not a regular pub goer, but I do like the occasional pint or two - if it's really good beer. And it is! It's also a very comfortable place - no loud music or background noises. You can actually hold a conversation across the table! Dave the landlord likes to introduce 'guest beers' regularly, so it is a fine place for sampling a new tipple. The food is also good. Damn it, I should go there more often!

My favourite pub in Crowborough. No fruit machines or background music and a simple garden with views to the North West. Great range of beers and food available at certain times.

I visit the Coopers Arms fairly regularly and have never been disappointed by the beer; it's always kept to a very high standard. Black Cat from Groombridge is one to particularly look out for.I've also eaten here on a number of occasions and have also never been disappointed.

The pub sits on the west side of Crowborough and has great views to the north from the garden. Food is very good and Dave the landlord takes great pride in his ales. Often has guest beers and twice a year has a great beer festival. All in all a great place for pint and a chat with your friends just a shame I don't live closer.

Unfortunately, this dinner was a disappointment from start to finish. I would strongly recommend that the restaurant implement a staff training day, as the service was shocking, especially given the price point. For £17.95, I was served an elderflower fizz that was reminiscent of a Wetherspoons cocktail—no garnish, too much sugar syrup, served in a gin bowl with excessive ice and just a straw and stirrer. It took ages to arrive after we had to order at the bar, due to a lack of staff taking orders at the table. The barman who appeared to be working solo was clearly flustered and evidently required either help or supervision, as the drink quality, presentation, and wait time was just not good enough for the price. This was just the start of a series of disappointments. My partner and I were then shown to our table, which was in an empty second room. Whilst this may seem romantic, we found it rather strange, especially considering the other room was nearly full. It seemed like the seating should have been split more evenly. We were greeted by another waitress who seemed pleasant but was unfortunately uninterested and lacked knowledge of the dishes. When we asked for recommendations, she responded with, "I don’t know. It depends on your palate." Typically, I would have expected more enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu, but this was not the case. After selecting our dishes and a bottle of red wine, we waited. The food arrived fairly quickly, but the wine was nowhere to be seen. It’s standard for drinks to be served before the food, so this felt odd. When our starter was cleared, we reminded the waitress about the wine. She looked at us blankly before bringing over the wine list and asking which bottle we had ordered, as she had forgotten. When our main courses arrived, the wine still hadn’t come. Despite having pointed out the Cabernet Sauvignon twice, we were then informed it was out of stock and asked to choose another. I would have expected the waitress to know about the shortage, but we accepted the mistake and asked for two glasses of Pinot Noir, as we were already onto the main course. Having worked in hospitality myself, it is common knowledge that if an issue arises it must be rectified with a matter of urgency. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case here. It wasn’t until we had finished our main courses that the wine finally arrived—without an apology or explanation. Throughout the meal, we were also not checked up on - another standard practice of hospitality, which made it even more difficult to address the issue of the wine. When the bill came, I asked the manager to remove the wine charges. Whilst he agreed, I would have expected him to be aware of the situation and offer compensation without me having to request it. As for the food, it was fine but nothing memorable. I had the linguine, and my partner had the lamb. Both were enjoyable enough, but given the £30-40 price point for the main courses, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. We didn’t bother staying for dessert due to our frustration with the service. What was meant to be a special, romantic meal ended up being a major letdown and waste of money.

We love this pub, the team are always friendly & welcoming. The food is excellent, I would highly recommend a Sunday Roast which comes with lots of vegetables, excellent gravy & very generous portions. The pub is warm & welcoming with a lovely large garden at the back which is gorgeous in the summer time.

Always good beer and friendly welcome. As well as Harvey's Best and Old, there is often a seasonal ale on such as George & Dragon, or Easter Ale, etc.
