A bit hidden behind hedges, easy to miss. Parking is gravel, but firm-ish. Motorcycles could use a foot or pad for side-stand. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Food good, and prices are acceptable. Tea & coffee lovely.
All round a nice dropin Cafe.
What a find! A fantastic cafe just off the main village high street.
Lovely breakfast and the coffee is good too. Dog friendly but clean and quirky. It’s obviously popular with the locals as some customers coming in were greeted by name.
Attentive staff and nothing was too much trouble.
We will be back!

Jordan & Will are very welcoming & they produce some fantastic food, the ribs & monkfish scampi were amazing. Can’t wait for the upstairs restaurant to be completed. Lovely decor & a warm friendly atmosphere.
Friendly staff, but VERY pricey! It cost £4 for a tiny tub of whelks! (Coke can for scale). The whelks were not particularly nice either. I wont be returning in future.
Best Iskender I’ve eaten in the UK, very big portion and absolutely delicious! I ordered the same thing 2 days in a row, it’s that good. The staff is very friendly. Very chill atmosphere with cool decor.
We wanted a light meal.
I chose crayfish baguette
But I requested it as a cocktail with the bread on the side.
The barman replied that wasn't possible. I challenged this & asked whyever not? Same ingredients just served a different way. I didn't want all the bread, I wanted the choice to have less bread. Eventually he conceded this might be possible & spoke to the chef who of course could cope with this variation
Well, I loved it here…..I had the Seabass in cream and brandy, it was amazing. My wife had the vegan risotto. We started with the usual olives and breads…fabulous ….they lest us alone to chill until the mains came which I liked a lot…no rush to get us out, no main courses sitting around waiting …
Cheap house red was fantastic and a double expresso to keep us awake during the support bands (definitely needed in this case)..
All in…£60 odd…..we will be back….best Seabass I’d had for a while…
The Owl is a pretentious disaster with its ridiculous ‘no babies’ policy. Families beware: they’d rather you starve than let your kid coo. Loud drunks? Fine. A baby? Unacceptable. Hypocritical, soulless, and awful. Zero stars.
