We are regular visitors at Rustico and frequently bring our guests here who all absolutely love the food! We recently had a wedding and ordered a mix of 50 pizzas. Thanks to Nicole and the team these were delivered right on time (to the second!) and everyone (gluten free, vegan, etc.) was catered for. They were so easy to communicate with and completely recommend them to everyone!

Dissapointing. Starter deep fried mozzarella over cooked and served cold. Pizza was lovely.

Pizza was soggy and the potato gnocchi was cold and undercooked.

We were disappointed with taste of the food. We ordered from Christmas menu. Soup and gnocchi, rigatoni and pizza. Absolutely not tasty and not cooked well. We will not visit them again. Pizza had burn sides a lot and was soggy from the topping.

sadly not very good at all the Calzone Was cold and full of water. They then cooked a fresh one that was also very cold and inedible. Gluten free pizza was wet and microwaved

We held my daughter’s party here and the team were great from the start. They couldn’t do enough to help, communicated clearly throughout and were professional and friendly.

The restaurant is rustical indeed, very nice and welcoming. Friendly and helpful staff, make us feel like home. Excellent food and drinks. I must mention the cheff which is Italian, and prepare italian recepies at high standard, very tasty as it should be the mediterranean food. Five stars with all my heart and highly recommended.

As always, great pizza with friendly and efficient service at good prices - we visit regularly.

We found this restaurant by simply passing. The smell coming out the door was amazing. We was greeted with fantastic service and really good food. The rustic Italian vibe was brilliant and Nicole was simply fantastic and really looked after us. Full marks

As a family of 3 we popped into the restaurant whilst driving through Battle (28.08.23) Must say, the food was fabulous and a great welcoming service. Would highly recommend and we will most certainly return in the future.

We were staying at a local BnB, and they recommended Rustico to us for a delivery. Unfortunately delivery took much longer than we were told on the phone and the food arrived cold. Such a shame!

Food and service both excellent, try the sparkling coffee!! Friendly staff. Loved the decor, great place for lunch or dinner highly recommend.

I have only one disappointment - that this is so far from our home! Food (evening dinner) was reasonable price, absolutely fantastic with pleasant staff. Not sure about decorating a wall with discarded doors but if that is the worst thing three people can think of it must be outstanding. The lunch deal looks amazing value but sadly schedules didn't allow us to try that. If you want to recreate the experience at home they even do merch!

Amazing as always, the lovely server didn't miss anything. She was kind, friendly and always on top of everything we didn't have to ask for anything because it was already asked if we wanted it perfect service! Food was amazing as always

Really great food, I tried the Rustico special and it was warm, delicious and just the right portion size. The chips went cold quite quickly but the pear juice was really nice, I would have like more though really! Amazing dessert (deep fried pizza in chocolate hazelnut sauce) and uber friendly staff, great with kids and joined in on jokes. Lovely decor, super clean toilets, and we LOVED the music! 10/10!

Best pizza ever and amazing front of house service!

5 stars. We loved our first trip to this lovely restaurant. It was a true Italian experience with the music and atmosphere. The pizzas were super yummy! We had various different intolerances to cater for and all were dealt with easily. Fantastic service with a smile and even better our dog was welcomed too.

Helpful and responsive service, it was quite quiet the two times I went in due to working in the area but we were late in the evening and were still welcomed and enjoyed the food.

Lovely food and staff. We had a great experience and would definitely come back again.

We went for lunch and it was delicious! The place looks very nice and the staff was friendly. There was only a waitress and we could see she was doing her best to make sure everybody was having the right service. Price was good, same with location, very recommended!

Atmosphere-arrived at 6 and quiet but by 7 was full up and good vibe. Meals good value and tasty. Take away option available. Can pre book meal for a specified time. Good, pleasant service.

Lovely meal. We rocked up at about 21:30 with a group of 6, and Rustico were happy to sit us for a full meal. Nicole was our server and she was very attentive, polite and friendly. The food was delicious and Nicole was happy to answer any of our questions all the while making us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!

We visited rustico over the bank holiday weekend and had a lovely meal. We arrived late in the evening without a booking but they were still more than welcoming. Nicole, our waitress, was fantastic and provided a great service, including being accommodating to one of our less hungry adult guests, who ordered a child's portion of an adult dish. Good prices too, it's lovely to have an authentic quality Italian along our local high street!

Much improved service since the last time we visited about a year ago. Waitresses were really friendly and helpful and specifically Nicole who spoke to us at the end. Lovely rustic atmosphere too and they are dog friendly 😍

Excellent pizza chain in Sussex, and the Battle branch doesn't disappoint.

We went as a large group of 9, they accommodated us straight away. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Can not recommend highly enough.

Love rustico and it was the first time I've visited the battle branch and I was so impressed with the staff. They were fab and so attentive and even let me and my friend stay chatting until nearly 10pm! Food was great too and I love all the quirky doors on the walls.

Somehow they were quiet on a Bank holiday Sunday and we booked an impromptu table last minute! Where to start.. The Garlic 🧄 bread, delicious.. The pizzas, holy macaroni, mamma mia. Service, perfect. Price for two people, 3 Course meal with 2 alcoholic drinks, £65. We're going to become regulars! It's probably the best Italian restaurant in the south of England.

Absolutely amazing and authentic food! The Parmigiana di Melanzane and Bruschetta are to die for! The tiramisu was also one of the best I’ve ever tried!! Would highly recommend!!!

Our first visit, my wife Rosie and I - This is an excellent little Italian style cafe restaurant. It has a really warm and relaxing ambiance and the proper Italian family feel. Menu is interesting, Food is good, pizzas look fabulous, we chose a selection of small plates. Service was quick, attentive and friendly without being overbearing and prices pleasingly competitive. We look forward to going again

Stopped in after seeing the Abbey. We loved it. Very friendly staff and great food. If we ever get back to Battle, we will eat there again.

Very tasty pizza. We came and grabbed ours to take away and eat in the van. Unfortunately they didn't cut it which made it which made it awkward to eat but we sorted it. Would definitely vist again. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.

Amazing pizzas, very pleasant staff.

Typical Italian fare at a reasonable price. Service was good, food arrived swiftly and was OK. Portion size for a pasta dish was on the small side. The restaurant is really quite dark and gloomy, especially on a winter's day. Quite cramped seating with tables really close together and a very narrow access corridor to the loos too. Have been to roomier, brighter locations of the same chain in other areas of East Sussex. Will stick to those in future.

avoid this place unless you want cold re-heated burned food that is inedible.our food for 8 come to £92.50. and was terrible.was promised a refund but did not get

Have used Rustico since they opened in Battle; pizza usually alright but of late delivery has been poor - always very late and then is miraculously ‘just leaving now’ when we call for an update. Hoping for a good alternative around here soon.

wrote to the manager 2 months ago to discuss the shocking experience. Clearly too busy to reply!!!! Never to return.

Excellent pizza. Glass of wine could be a bit better presentation. Served in the sort of glass I drank water from at school in the 1970s.

Great Pizza, but, Battle is not as good as the Bexhill restaurant. We asked to swap one of our toppings on our Pizza, Italian sausage for Olives, we were then charged £1.50 for NOT having sausage! Atmosphere is much better at Bexhill too. Next time we will go back to Rustico Bexhill.

This wasn't what we were intending for a Sunday night but we ended up at Rustico and so glad we did. Got a very warm welcome (inc dog), good menu, great food, efficient service and the staff were just so lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

Asked how long it would be for a pizza. Was told about 20min. Ended up waiting 50min. When the pizza finally arrived it was the wrong order. Minimal apology. Mediocre pizza.

1st visit will be back. Great staff & service, food very good and well presented . The deep fried calzone starter was particularly good. Great pizzas. Couple of minors stopped me giving 5 stars. Wine needs to be served in proper glasses not tumblers & no ice availiable. But on the whole an excellent time was had by all.

Staff a bit over familiar. Not great calling a female customer "love". Pizza was ok'ish salad inedible (don't know how they did that) Rum Baba horrible. Won't be going back.

Over done pizza ,not garlicky garlic bread ,opaque wine glasses ,very badly served and presented rum baba ,over familiar waiter ( called our guest " darling" Not great overall ,sorry !

Had our Christmas party here last night, 15 people & not a bad plate of food to be seen. Will definitely eat there again.

Authentic Neapolitan restaurant located on the main street in Battle. Good range of food for starters and desserts, but it would be nice to see pasta available for mains (not just on a weekday lunchtime). Pizzas are however, delicious. Great pricing, friendly staff and good location.

We had a takeaway as they were fully booked. I am coeliac and they had choices which was good. My grandson loved his pizza 🍕 😋
