Rustico Battle in Rother

My wife and I had lunch in the Battle Rustico yesterday. The decor was very unusual but super effective. Our lunches were delicious and very good value. Emma, who served our food very efficiently, was really friendly and we enjoyed chatting to her. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Tom, the chef, was also very pleasant to talk with and prepared our food very well. All in all a very enjoyable experience and we shall definitely eat at other branches of Rustico.

Sadly no photo but we had a lovely gluten and dairy free pizza :) vegan mozzarella was good and the toppings were very bountiful!

Daniel was so helpful in arranging a large takeaway order to a house we were staying at the weekend. He also helped organise some very specific dietary requirements! Pizza was EPIC and HOT when delivered!

Tried out this little gem while on holiday. Great for a relaxed evening meal. My daughter and I both had pizza, which was delicious. All pizzas can be made gluten free as can some of the pasta dishes and staff were knowledgable about cross contamination. Service was friendly and attentive. We would definitely come again if we are in the area.

Very good place to have a quick bite or full meal. Decided to dine here after exploring the museum of Battle, and absolutely had no regrets with the food. Definitely have the lasagna; really good stuff.

Stunning fresh pizza! Staff were attentive, not pushy. We went midweek so it wasn’t busy. Very reasonable prices.

Food delivered cold but according to person on phone they didn't believe us as the box felt warm when he delivered it.. Rubbish phone skills and customer care. Was only after replacement food.

Sooo peaceful and calm place dogs are welcome,their vegan,vegetarian stuff pizzas,galzonies ,wrong spelling in thinks 🤔 everything is plenty and sooo tasty 😋 service is great too

Ordered takeaway from here which turned up cold.. When I contacted the restaurant to discuss the matter the person I spoke to told me it felt warm when he delivered the food and can't see a problem. Zero customer service skills.

Food was delivered cold. After contacting the restaurant the manager/delivery person pretty much told us he didn't believe it. He said it felt hot when he delivered it. Last time using Rustico.

Food was alright, not bad... but twice when ordering from this Rustico branch, they have forgotten my order. My husband's food is in the package but not mine which is such a nuisance if you only realise when they have left and have the hall of trying to ring the restaurant and tell them 🫤

Very casual restaurant with an affordable menu. Nice atmosphere with simple tables and retro decorations. We tried two pasta dishes and we found quantity/quality/price to be fair. There are mostly first courses and pizzas on the menu. The staff was organised and our order came quickly. The cannoli were a bit disappointing, we expected something a bit more interesting.

Fantastic place to have italian pizza in Battle. We had a terrific time with the family. The atmosphere was really nice and the service was superb. Quick, friendly, and super professional. The pizza was very good. It was one of the best I had so far in England. Of course, as always, it is all about personal taste, but the ingredients were good and fresh. I will go back for sure.

Brilliant service, very friendly waitress ,nice food , but the music was so loud I found it difficult to hear what my friend was actually saying, I found it very distracting, and felt like we were more in a bar, than a restaurant setting, shame really. Please turn your music down.

We've been going to Rustico for years. The whole ethos changed a few years ago with the new management and chefs.We've been countless times and whether eat in or takeaway it's fantastic. Our local is the place to go! We love it! Very child friendly but also nice for a quiet lunch date.

We had a fantastic lunch at rustico from start to finish. Our waitress, Nicole, was incredibly attentive, offering water to the table as soon as we sat down and bringing pre-chilled glasses with ice and lemon to accompany as a special touch. The food was delicious and Nicole was informative in recommendations of oils to serve with our dish (the basil oil is divine!). Overall a wonderful, well priced experience that we would highly recommend.

Stunning as usual. Let down by the size of the lasagne. I can imagine it was supplied by a catering company, not rustico. Having said this - the quality of the pizza and garlic bread was as always stunning. Thanks.

2 hours and 10 mins for delivery

We are regular visitors at Rustico and frequently bring our guests here who all absolutely love the food! We recently had a wedding and ordered a mix of 50 pizzas. Thanks to Nicole and the team these were delivered right on time (to the second!) and everyone (gluten free, vegan, etc.) was catered for. They were so easy to communicate with and completely recommend them to everyone!

Dissapointing. Starter deep fried mozzarella over cooked and served cold. Pizza was lovely.

Pizza was soggy and the potato gnocchi was cold and undercooked.

We were disappointed with taste of the food. We ordered from Christmas menu. Soup and gnocchi, rigatoni and pizza. Absolutely not tasty and not cooked well. We will not visit them again. Pizza had burn sides a lot and was soggy from the topping.

sadly not very good at all the Calzone Was cold and full of water. They then cooked a fresh one that was also very cold and inedible. Gluten free pizza was wet and microwaved

We held my daughter’s party here and the team were great from the start. They couldn’t do enough to help, communicated clearly throughout and were professional and friendly.

Pizza arrived early which was great, it was piping hot and delicious. Lady who delivered was very friendly and polite too. Excellent all round, will order again.

The restaurant is rustical indeed, very nice and welcoming. Friendly and helpful staff, make us feel like home. Excellent food and drinks. I must mention the cheff which is Italian, and prepare italian recepies at high standard, very tasty as it should be the mediterranean food. Five stars with all my heart and highly recommended.

As always, great pizza with friendly and efficient service at good prices - we visit regularly.

We found this restaurant by simply passing. The smell coming out the door was amazing. We was greeted with fantastic service and really good food. The rustic Italian vibe was brilliant and Nicole was simply fantastic and really looked after us. Full marks

As a family of 3 we popped into the restaurant whilst driving through Battle (28.08.23) Must say, the food was fabulous and a great welcoming service. Would highly recommend and we will most certainly return in the future.

Food and service both excellent, try the sparkling coffee!! Friendly staff. Loved the decor, great place for lunch or dinner highly recommend.

We were staying at a local BnB, and they recommended Rustico to us for a delivery. Unfortunately delivery took much longer than we were told on the phone and the food arrived cold. Such a shame!

I have only one disappointment - that this is so far from our home! Food (evening dinner) was reasonable price, absolutely fantastic with pleasant staff. Not sure about decorating a wall with discarded doors but if that is the worst thing three people can think of it must be outstanding. The lunch deal looks amazing value but sadly schedules didn't allow us to try that. If you want to recreate the experience at home they even do merch!

Really great food, I tried the Rustico special and it was warm, delicious and just the right portion size. The chips went cold quite quickly but the pear juice was really nice, I would have like more though really! Amazing dessert (deep fried pizza in chocolate hazelnut sauce) and uber friendly staff, great with kids and joined in on jokes. Lovely decor, super clean toilets, and we LOVED the music! 10/10!

Best pizza ever and amazing front of house service!

5 stars. We loved our first trip to this lovely restaurant. It was a true Italian experience with the music and atmosphere. The pizzas were super yummy! We had various different intolerances to cater for and all were dealt with easily. Fantastic service with a smile and even better our dog was welcomed too.

there appears to be a problem with Rustico appearing on Just Eat in Battle. I have to 'fudge' the post code to get Rustico to display. The actual post code for the Leeford Place Hotel in Whatlington is TN33 0ND. This is the 3rd time I've had to 'cheat' to get Rustico to appear in Just Eat...note the code I used is TN33 0XB... which I believe is the High Street in Battle. Hope this can be fixed.

Helpful and responsive service, it was quite quiet the two times I went in due to working in the area but we were late in the evening and were still welcomed and enjoyed the food.

Lovely food and staff. We had a great experience and would definitely come back again.

We went for lunch and it was delicious! The place looks very nice and the staff was friendly. There was only a waitress and we could see she was doing her best to make sure everybody was having the right service. Price was good, same with location, very recommended!

Lovely meal. We rocked up at about 21:30 with a group of 6, and Rustico were happy to sit us for a full meal. Nicole was our server and she was very attentive, polite and friendly. The food was delicious and Nicole was happy to answer any of our questions all the while making us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!

We visited rustico over the bank holiday weekend and had a lovely meal. We arrived late in the evening without a booking but they were still more than welcoming. Nicole, our waitress, was fantastic and provided a great service, including being accommodating to one of our less hungry adult guests, who ordered a child's portion of an adult dish. Good prices too, it's lovely to have an authentic quality Italian along our local high street!

We went as a large group of 9, they accommodated us straight away. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Can not recommend highly enough.

Love rustico and it was the first time I've visited the battle branch and I was so impressed with the staff. They were fab and so attentive and even let me and my friend stay chatting until nearly 10pm! Food was great too and I love all the quirky doors on the walls.

Really lovely staff, atmosphere and food.

Somehow they were quiet on a Bank holiday Sunday and we booked an impromptu table last minute! Where to start.. The Garlic 🧄 bread, delicious.. The pizzas, holy macaroni, mamma mia. Service, perfect. Price for two people, 3 Course meal with 2 alcoholic drinks, £65. We're going to become regulars! It's probably the best Italian restaurant in the south of England.

Absolutely amazing and authentic food! The Parmigiana di Melanzane and Bruschetta are to die for! The tiramisu was also one of the best I’ve ever tried!! Would highly recommend!!!

Our first visit, my wife Rosie and I - This is an excellent little Italian style cafe restaurant. It has a really warm and relaxing ambiance and the proper Italian family feel. Menu is interesting, Food is good, pizzas look fabulous, we chose a selection of small plates. Service was quick, attentive and friendly without being overbearing and prices pleasingly competitive. We look forward to going again
