Tasty food reasonably priced. Good waiter service too! Good could have been hotter.

I’ve been here a cupple of times now and and am very happy with the service and food all the food is freshly cooked and is very tasty and good and the service was excellent staff where very nice and friendly would highly recommended this place for lunch and dinner

This review based on 2 home delivered pizzas. Sadly really disappointing. Ok they came nice and hot but half an hour before due. Worse, they were soggy, undercooked with below expected quality of flavour.

Delivery time was actually good. And the pizza looked great. But was downhill from there. Was just about warm, and the mozzarella hadn't melted, it was that cold. As for the added smoked cheese.... Wasn't smoked. But wasn't much cheese at all. Although I appreciate the base wasn't meant to be a 'crispy' base, wasn't expecting it to be just dough. Probably would have been ok had it been cooked properly. £17 would be better spent on a larger and much better quality pizza from M&S, and you'd be able to get a bottle of wine too for the same price. Incredibly disappointed. No reply from restaurant - not poor, it's unacceptable service and highlights why eateries actually go out of business.

We saw Rustico's January offer : Lunchtime deal valid all day every day, so decided to go to Bexhill and after a walk along the seafront eat at Rustico. We arrived at about 12 minutes to 3. It was very busy and we sat outside. When we received the menu the lunchtime deal menu was not there. I got up and asked for it only to be told it was valid until 3pm. By then it had just turned 3pm. I pointed out that the offer on the window said 'all day every day'. Oh, that meant all day until 3pm. And was there anything we fancied from the main menu? False advertising to lure in customers? No thank you. There are plenty of other places to eat in Bexhill that don't use dirty tricks

We visited Rustico Bexhill for an early dinner before going to the De La Warr for a show. A friend had booked in advance but when we arrived the booking hadn't been properly recorded. We stood and waited for a while for them to rearrange chairs and tables. They were accommodating but we felt as welcome as a fart at a funeral. Most of my friends were happy with their pizzas but I had the lasagna which was not good, it tasted like a microwave meal. They were busy (hence the very visible issue with them squeezing us in!). We waited for a long time to finally pay the bill when we really wanted to leave. All in all disappointing.

I live in Bexhill. Eating out here in the town is generally terrible. The pizza here at rustico is good. Not the best I have ever had, but very good. As for the restaurant, it does lack any atmosphere. But the pizza is good! And there really aren’t many other places I would eat out or order from in Bexhill.

We ordered two Rustico pizzas, one gluten free. Both arrived quickly, fully topped, delicious doughy gluten free base. 😋 I've never tasted a GF base like it. One side salad was enough to share. Two Italian beers completed our meal. Would definitely visit more often if we were local. Both of the young men who served us were polite and friendly.

Absolutely love Rustico Bexhill. The food is always amazing and lots of choice. Great service, the Staff are wonderful and really ensure you have a great experience . Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely fresh pizza great service

Went there about 30th Sept 2023 Bruschetta made with pizza base, tomatoes almost non existent. Some sort of cheese on top. Awful !!! Lasagne seemed undercooked, top soggy. Obviously, won't be back Didn't know what was meant by street food, if that was it I don't recommend it .Large beer nearly £7

Genuine tasty Italian food at very reasonable prices.

Very good food and service. Lots of pleasant staff and atmosphere. Busy but they appeared to keep on top of things especially as they were dealing with people from an event over the road. Our food came out in minutes, fresh, tasty, hot.

We came here for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious. My 4 year old daughter is very picky but loved the pasta so much we had to bring the rest home in a doggy bag because she didn't want to leave any! (I had some too when she wasn’t looking!) The pizzas were amazing too. Our server, Jack, was so friendly and funny and made the whole experience perfect--you couldn't ask for better service! We will definitely come back!

Nice tasty food, food was served quickly but being hidden in the corner meant staff were focussed more on those that were more visible. I would eat there again.

Pizza is quit unusual for our taste, it's La Terrona with Italian broccoli, parmesan cheese & thin gought, very tasty, light for stomach!) But was not hot, slightly warm! Salad was beautiful, fresh leaves, artichokes & eggplant large portions, I can't say that cannoli was the right ones, as simply cream but not the ricotta!( Coffee nice, hot & proper!) Recommended!!!

The food was very good and reasonably priced great service we were served by Izzie who was very nice and looked after us extremely well this was our first visit and will certainly be returning

Bexhill seems to have plenty of ‘Italian’ restaurants but we were looking for something with an authentic feel and found it in Rustico. Delicious food, good menu choice, good service and a fun rustic interior decor which is just like you’d imagine a village Trattoria should look. You can even buy the traditional enamelled metal dishes to take home, and the house wine is served in tumblers not stemmed glasses. Recommended.

Myself and my partner ate here, and it was fantastic! The pizza was very filling and delicious. The atmosphere was great too. Would change the glasses when it comes to the drinks but it is the only thing I would change.

This place has so much potential, but is run by young people who haven't got a clue what they're doing. Service is appalling, and they forget parts of the order. Half of the time, they're playing on their phones or talking to each other instead of tending the floor and customers. I think it's overpriced for what you get, and the pizzas are unevenly and sparsely coated with ingredients at times.

This restaurant presents itself as down to earth, basic but tasty food. For this reason, I suppose, red wine is served in a water glass and tin plates are used to add authenticity. Not a problem if the food is good but, sadly, it is only very average. My cheesy bites were distinctly low on cheese and after we had sorted out muddle with the order of dishes, our main courses were also disappointing. My lasagne had no richness of flavour which may have been due to a lack of meat. My companions chicken dish came with a salad which, whilst it had good points, was loaded with extra limp leaves to the point of exhaustion. We then moved on to what was a sort of rum baba, but lacking in rum (although the pastry was very light) and for me, a chocolate ice which has clearly come straight from the deep-freeze and needed a pick-axe to eat. I am not in favour of serving melted ice cream, but there must be a happy medium. Overall, service was quick and friendly (although I am not a "guys" sort of person) but the bareness of the interior does make it rather noisy. For the money, it wasn't bad, but I wish they could add a bit more flavour to the food.

Absolutely fantastic meal. After being in the business for over 20 years I find it hard to be positive about most places. But today was lovely, great pizza, staff we sat outside because of our bikes.

We popped in here a couple of nights ago for dinner with the kids and were very impressed. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive to the extent that even my 9-year-old remarked at how welcoming everyone was, so full credit to the staff! The food was also super tasty and fortunately came out nice and quick so the hungry kids were happy. We were super impressed with the pizzas that came out. All in all, a great experience and we'd certainly come back another time!

We went there for lunch and had a pizza and lasagna. The lasagna was the size of a child's meal and the pizza had hardly any cheese on it. When I questioned the waitress about the portion size she just shrugged shoulders. Service was poor as had to ask for some one to take our order. Its a shame as the food was great in the past and they are trying to cut costs too much.

We love Rustico's Pizzas and Pasta. Simply the best. Great service too

I like this place...I like the concept and the food. It makes for an inexpensive meal out in a great location. Italian restaurants can be a bit "samey" as regards their menus but this can't be said about Rustico...great pizzas.

Just had a lovely margerita pizza delivered to my house on nye. Lots of cheese tomato cooked perfectly. Delivery lady was super as well. Happy new year to all!

Tip top. Ordered takeaway pizza for everyone. They didn't cut it which was a bit annoying as hard to eat it whole especially in the van. Really good pizza though and nice staff. Restaurant looked cosy and inviting

A great pizzeria with very good service was made welcome even when it was busy. The pizzas were very rustic which was marvelous, plenty of chilli and cheese. Around winner.

Ordered delivery so may not match experience going there but the meat on the cannibale was far too large with a paper thin base and 5.50 for tiramisu that is basically cream on sponge ( no coffee taste )

Always a handy place for dinner before a show at De La Warr Pavilion. I don't know why but DLW doesn't want to open its bar and restaurant early enough for a relaxed meal.

Lovely little place, serving delicious pizza with generous toppings 🍕 The staff are very friendly quick service, and they have lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and they let you customise the toppings so you can have your favourites.

Great little authentic Italian restaurant. A local chain with branches all over East Sussex. Food, prices and ambience all good. Four stars as found the customer service to not be ideal - they appeared to be understaffed. Have been to the Eastbourne and Battle branches before and had a better experience there.

We went here for dinner whilst visiting some friends and I've mixed feelings about the place! The food seems freshly cooked and authentic. The starters were fairly pleasant, so it was off to a good start. I was then expecting spaghetti and meatballs - to which I received a different sort of pasta, this was probably due to a misread by myself, however (and I hate to say this), it tasted like a ready meal from Tesco! The precious few meatballs I had were tasty, but I do wish there were more of them! I know this is a popular restaurant and I'm sure my opinion is just due to my ignorance of Italian food, but I have to be honest about what I thought! I was expecting a lot more for the price, especially after how well the starter kicked things off! The main also came out in a tin dish, which looked really nice but kept spinning every time I tried to pick anything up! I would recommend this restaurant as their pizzas looked incredible and the starters were really nice. Perhaps pasta just isn't their strong suite!

Came here 3 days ago as a family of 6 to celebrate my Aunty's 80th birthday. The staff were welcoming & attentive, able to provide us with an indoor table for a wheelchair user and the food was absolutely delicious, huge portions and reasonably priced. We may have outstayed our welcome, but at no point did we feel rushed or pressured into purchasing anything else. Thank you for helping us celebrate such a special occasion, I'm sure we'll be back - I know I'm going to order a collection now we're living in the area, what a great find!

Poor quality. Burned pizza and a very sloppy pizza. I'm English and I can honestly make a better Italian style pizza in my standard oven at home. Really disappointed

Doughy pizza and small lasagna. Terrible house red wine that was probably a reject from Italy. If this place has so many good reviews it begs the question what do people usually eat? And what's with serving chips with pizza? So weird. Not how madre used to make it! This is not a real trattoria. Avoid if you're looking for authentic Italian.

Did not enjoy food at all it came out like it came from the microwave and the waitress looked like she did not want to be there and it showed even being told they were out of glasses and gave me a small glass that was just bigger than a shot glass for my orange and lemonade which came out as a can of sprite and a bottle of orange..not happy.

The food here is incredible and the staff very attentive and friendly - really excellent. A good mix of vegan and vegetarian options amongst the more traditional meat options. Will definitely be going again soon and highly recommend it.

They only had 1 job to do and that was reheat a lasagne at which they failed miserably- it was frozen. Sent back, fresh portion arrived Stone cold so went without. Partners pizza was topped with previously frozen ingredients hence was soggy and wasn't hot either. Staff obviously don't care.

The best authentic Neopolitan pizza outside of Italy. We ordered a Margarita and a Pepperoni and both pizzas were fantastic. A non fussed tomato base sauce on authentic pizza dough, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. Superb would highly recommend

The staff were super friendly, warm, welcoming helpful, professional, and effecient on our visit. The food was brilliant too. Both myself and my partner as well as our young daughter loved our meal and time there and will definitely be going back.

This is pretty authentic Italian cooking at very reasonable prices. Not a huge menu of pasta but plenty of selection and pizza too. Wonderful. Updated: there are now several branches of Rustico. In my experience they vary a bit. All good, but noticeable differences in the cooking. Service always excellent. Occasionally very busy in the evening.

Lovely friendly staff and delicious food. Only down side is that the food gets cold quickly as metal plates and bowls that everything seems to be served on absorbs all the heat.

Really friendly & helpful waitresses. Great tasting food and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend! Did half size kids portions 👍
