Good food and good services , highly recommended

Ate here on Saturday. Very busy but they managed to find us a table. Pizza was excellent, and pasta looked amazing. Service was faultless, and the manager even made a point of chatting to us as we left. Nice surroundings too. Would definitely recommend, and will certainly go again.

It was the worst pasta bolognese and garlic bread I’ve ever tasted . I will stick to supermarket products or better restaurants . The pasta was hard , the bolognese almost non existent and the garlic bread soggy and cold. I went one Sunday v recently around 2pm and felt so very sorry for the staff that had to dish me up this meal , as did my companion , that we didn’t have the heart not to tip them. We laughed that had we not been so v hungry we would have sent our meal back !!! We won’t be going again , and hope the waiters keep getting their tops as it’s not their fault if food is so prison cell .

Pizza was disgusting, soggy and missing toppings after a wait of a hour and a half for delivery, when I rang was toldit was busy, shouldn't take orders if you can not meet acceptable times. NEVER AGAIN WORST FOOD.

A Saturday evening and it took Rustico two hours to deliver four pizzas! They sent two texts delaying the delivery time with no reason as to why. When they did eventually arrive one of the pizzas had the wrong topping, none had been cut and worst of all they were all lukewarm. I wouldn't recommend ordering a delivery from this place unless you are prepared to wait ages for substandard food.

We had a great food experience at Rustico Neapolitan in Bexhill. Pizza base was so thin and all ingredients were fresh. I’ve built my own pizza and didn’t regret. Prices are so affordable. They have few tables outside and the restaurant is 5 min walk to the beach.

Really good authentic pizzas! Nice staff. We just popped in whilst on holiday and we were really pleased 😃 Highly recommend

Impressive lunch deal menu which offers great value! Lots of bang for your buck! Any negatives? Well if I was being picky, the cutlery was very cheap-feeling, especially the pound-shop special table knives! Definitely not aligned to the quality of the food!

I have such mixed feelings, from the outside it looks very inviting. The staff were pleasant and the service was very good. I ordered a pizza and it was very good indeed and my friend enjoyed her food also. However it veritably needs a deep clean, the tables were sticky, my cover only seat was so marked I didn't really want to sit down. The door leading to the toilets was covered in peeling paint, the toilets were clean. This is not a place I would choose to go again sadly.

Best Italian food we've ever had.We started with Panzerotto(deep fried cheese n potato croquettes),yum.Battilocchio(filled n fried calzone)yum yum and Arancini carne,oh my days it was so yummy.Then we had a Diavola pizza which my man devoured and loved,and a Calzone vulcano,which was stuffed to the brim with sausage,meatballs,nduja,cheese n sauce and drizzled in honey,I cannot put into words how nice it was.I have discovered that Limoncello works very well mixed with Prosecco.The staff were fabulous and we loved Rustico,we will absolutely be back.

Really disappointed in our Uber experience with Rustico this evening. 3 items were missing on delivery which the driver just shrugged about, and the pizzas were delivered upside down so absolutely decimated! Even worse, when we called Rustico, we were told it wasn’t Rustico’s issue because they don’t deliver the food. Honestly gross that they’re happy to take our money but don’t care after that. Such a shame!

Always a pleasure to have the occasional lunchtime pizza at Rustico, even outside in the sunshine weather permitting. Service is always amiable, competent and they will do their level best to fit you in if it's busy due to a concert over the road in the DLWP. The pizzas are simply excellent and great value for the quality of the ingredients.

Love this place...not your typical Italian restaurant...I love the concept and the food...good authentic fresh food...pizzas are superb.

The pizza was soggy and the garlic bread was stale and didn’t taste like garlic. This is nothing like eating inside the restaurant which was really nice. Won’t be ordering takeaway again.

Service staff were lovely but need to be trained on how to keep an eye on the tables they are serving. We waited ages just to get a menu even though they walked passed the table several times. Food was pretty diabolical. Possibly the worst Italian I’ve had in the area. The sad thing is, that despite the reviews, they don’t seem to be that bothered about improving things. The meatballs were really hard and needed a knife to cut them. Italian meatballs should be soft and just break easily. The sauce was flavourless and just felt like a tomato purée with little effort to add anything resembling a nice herby flavour. The garlic bread was so greasy, it was unpleasant. Didn’t bother with desserts. I wonder why they make so little effort to improve? The menu is very limited and it shouldn’t be difficult to keep a high standard. It’s my second time. Not enamoured either time.

Ordered 3 pizzas and 3 skinny fries. Order arrived minus the fries. Called Rustico - gave my details - was assured fries were on their way. NO FRIES. I mean, come in Rustico! The fries are NOT rocket science. The lass on the phone - who I called - could not have sounded less interested and then she lied. I don't appreciate being lied to. Very poor and I will NOT be ordering from you again! Should have gone to Trattoria who are endlessly reliable, unlike Rustico. Your loss.

Great food and great prices staff are really helpfull always do there best and more to help the customers. Even made my daughter a love heart pizza well done Andrea.

Had a really lovely meal here, the food tasted great. The only downside was the service, one of the meals came a while after the others and they kept giving different times for how long the food would take. Other than the service being slightly on the slow side, we had a very nice meal and would visit again

Tried Rustico for the first (and last) time with a friend and chose the turkey escalope which was inedible, like a piece of breaded cardboard, deep fried - no turkey. The staff offered to replace and I accepted, but it was just as bad, so I called the waitress again and the manager came and said I could choose anything else, but by then my friend had chewed her way as much of her meal as she could, so I declined. The food was the worst I have ever tasted in an Italian restaurant anywhere. True they only charged me for the wine, not for the meal, but that didn't make up for the disappointment of eating out. I can't fault the staff, they were very helpful, but don't go there for the food.

Rustico has always been great, yet last few times especially in this branch, staff is completely unbothered, pasta is frozen and warmed up in the microwave. Horrible tasting and very disappointing experience.

Dreadful food and service! Worst Italian food I have ever experienced in my life. Reheated hard pasta, soggy pizza and a mushy stale salad that looked like a plate of sick! Sack the Chef because if you can't serve a salad properly there is no hope at all for your business. What made it worse was having to wait 90 minutes for this rubbish, despite the restaurant being half full.

Worst "Italian" food I have ever experienced. Reheated over hard pasta, soggy pizza and a "salad" of mushy stale leaves with mozzarella dumped on top looking like something the cat spewed up. That was after waiting 90 minutes (!!!) because the "just eat" and "uber" moped take away pizza service takes priority to sit in customers.

I ordered chicken strips and chips for my son and the chips arrived stone cold. We waited about 50 minutes for our food to arrive and at that point the restaurant wasn't very busy. The pizza was OK, but notjing special and a bit burnt in places. I ordered lasagna for myself and was very disappointed, I would have been better off with a ready meal! I don't recommend this restaurant at all and I certainly won't be going back.

Went for a takeaway on Saturday night, and was rudely told to order on app. Stood there and tried to get on app, with no success. 10 minutes later I said to the guy.. I can't access the app. The reply was we are to busy to help go somewhere else. STAFF ARE JUST RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. And I told him that too. I will never go in there again, and I'm local, it's Monday and I'm still annoyed at his manner .

Very disappointed. Previously have only had pizza here which was good, but this visit we had pasta dishes that were so obviously microwaved prepackaged meals. They tasted awful, mainly because there was no taste at all.

Lovely restaurant, great service and fun decor. The frittatina are my favourite!

This review based on 2 home delivered pizzas. Sadly really disappointing. Ok they came nice and hot but half an hour before due. Worse, they were soggy, undercooked with below expected quality of flavour.

Delivery time was actually good. And the pizza looked great. But was downhill from there. Was just about warm, and the mozzarella hadn't melted, it was that cold. As for the added smoked cheese.... Wasn't smoked. But wasn't much cheese at all. Although I appreciate the base wasn't meant to be a 'crispy' base, wasn't expecting it to be just dough. Probably would have been ok had it been cooked properly. £17 would be better spent on a larger and much better quality pizza from M&S, and you'd be able to get a bottle of wine too for the same price. Incredibly disappointed. No reply from restaurant - not poor, it's unacceptable service and highlights why eateries actually go out of business.

We saw Rustico's January offer : Lunchtime deal valid all day every day, so decided to go to Bexhill and after a walk along the seafront eat at Rustico. We arrived at about 12 minutes to 3. It was very busy and we sat outside. When we received the menu the lunchtime deal menu was not there. I got up and asked for it only to be told it was valid until 3pm. By then it had just turned 3pm. I pointed out that the offer on the window said 'all day every day'. Oh, that meant all day until 3pm. And was there anything we fancied from the main menu? False advertising to lure in customers? No thank you. There are plenty of other places to eat in Bexhill that don't use dirty tricks

Disappointing seafood pizza - there was a weird tough ball (we think an eyeball!) on the pizza that was inedible. Put us off the rest of the food, after dissecting to find out what it was, unfortunately.

Ok it’s New Year’s Eve so just grateful they were open. I ordered Pizza at 17:56, arrived 19.30. It was tasteless but very salty, soggy and cold. Fries appeared limp and uncooked too. We ended up throwing most in the bin

Food came cold, the lasagne was still a bit hard and barely had any mince / meat in it. The chips were cold, soggy and tasteless. The pizzas weren’t very nice either. Wow Simply amazing pizza traditional and cooked to perfection A+++ service

We visited Rustico Bexhill for an early dinner before going to the De La Warr for a show. A friend had booked in advance but when we arrived the booking hadn't been properly recorded. We stood and waited for a while for them to rearrange chairs and tables. They were accommodating but we felt as welcome as a fart at a funeral. Most of my friends were happy with their pizzas but I had the lasagna which was not good, it tasted like a microwave meal. They were busy (hence the very visible issue with them squeezing us in!). We waited for a long time to finally pay the bill when we really wanted to leave. All in all disappointing.

I live in Bexhill. Eating out here in the town is generally terrible. The pizza here at rustico is good. Not the best I have ever had, but very good. As for the restaurant, it does lack any atmosphere. But the pizza is good! And there really aren’t many other places I would eat out or order from in Bexhill.

We ordered two Rustico pizzas, one gluten free. Both arrived quickly, fully topped, delicious doughy gluten free base. 😋 I've never tasted a GF base like it. One side salad was enough to share. Two Italian beers completed our meal. Would definitely visit more often if we were local. Both of the young men who served us were polite and friendly.

Absolutely love Rustico Bexhill. The food is always amazing and lots of choice. Great service, the Staff are wonderful and really ensure you have a great experience . Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely fresh pizza great service

Went there about 30th Sept 2023 Bruschetta made with pizza base, tomatoes almost non existent. Some sort of cheese on top. Awful !!! Lasagne seemed undercooked, top soggy. Obviously, won't be back Didn't know what was meant by street food, if that was it I don't recommend it .Large beer nearly £7

Very tasty garlic bread pizza and the gluten free chocolate cake was amazing

Usually, really good. Food tasted as lovely as it always does. My issue is with the Garlic Bread. It arrived HALF the size it usually is and stone cold! At £4.95 I expected it to at least reflect the amount paid for it!! Disappointed is an understatement!

Very good food and service. Lots of pleasant staff and atmosphere. Busy but they appeared to keep on top of things especially as they were dealing with people from an event over the road. Our food came out in minutes, fresh, tasty, hot.

We came here for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious. My 4 year old daughter is very picky but loved the pasta so much we had to bring the rest home in a doggy bag because she didn't want to leave any! (I had some too when she wasn’t looking!) The pizzas were amazing too. Our server, Jack, was so friendly and funny and made the whole experience perfect--you couldn't ask for better service! We will definitely come back!

Nice tasty food, food was served quickly but being hidden in the corner meant staff were focussed more on those that were more visible. I would eat there again.

Pizza is quit unusual for our taste, it's La Terrona with Italian broccoli, parmesan cheese & thin gought, very tasty, light for stomach!) But was not hot, slightly warm! Salad was beautiful, fresh leaves, artichokes & eggplant large portions, I can't say that cannoli was the right ones, as simply cream but not the ricotta!( Coffee nice, hot & proper!) Recommended!!!

Bexhill seems to have plenty of ‘Italian’ restaurants but we were looking for something with an authentic feel and found it in Rustico. Delicious food, good menu choice, good service and a fun rustic interior decor which is just like you’d imagine a village Trattoria should look. You can even buy the traditional enamelled metal dishes to take home, and the house wine is served in tumblers not stemmed glasses. Recommended.

Absolutely delicious...as per norm

Myself and my partner ate here, and it was fantastic! The pizza was very filling and delicious. The atmosphere was great too. Would change the glasses when it comes to the drinks but it is the only thing I would change.

This place has so much potential, but is run by young people who haven't got a clue what they're doing. Service is appalling, and they forget parts of the order. Half of the time, they're playing on their phones or talking to each other instead of tending the floor and customers. I think it's overpriced for what you get, and the pizzas are unevenly and sparsely coated with ingredients at times.

This restaurant presents itself as down to earth, basic but tasty food. For this reason, I suppose, red wine is served in a water glass and tin plates are used to add authenticity. Not a problem if the food is good but, sadly, it is only very average. My cheesy bites were distinctly low on cheese and after we had sorted out muddle with the order of dishes, our main courses were also disappointing. My lasagne had no richness of flavour which may have been due to a lack of meat. My companions chicken dish came with a salad which, whilst it had good points, was loaded with extra limp leaves to the point of exhaustion. We then moved on to what was a sort of rum baba, but lacking in rum (although the pastry was very light) and for me, a chocolate ice which has clearly come straight from the deep-freeze and needed a pick-axe to eat. I am not in favour of serving melted ice cream, but there must be a happy medium. Overall, service was quick and friendly (although I am not a "guys" sort of person) but the bareness of the interior does make it rather noisy. For the money, it wasn't bad, but I wish they could add a bit more flavour to the food.
