The Castle Inn in Rother

Ate there last night as a birthday and anniversary celebration. The food was amazing, couldn’t recommend the duck highly enough. The vegan chocolate brownie and ice-cream sublime. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and any additional requests accommodated with a smile. Please visit, you won’t regret it.

Situated in the village of Bodiam opposite the castle this pub delivers very good food and drink at reasonable prices with varied vegan and vegetarian options. The quality of the food is outstanding and the service efficient and friendly. Lovely to sit outside enjoying the views of the countryside whilst enjoying great food.

Great food, great service. We visited during half term and had a great meal. Very veggie/vegan oriented. I would definitely eat here again.

I think I was expecting it to be a bit naff, but the location was lovely and I and my friends ate the hake with new potato salad and caper cream and it was really, really good. Staff were nice. I'd go again.

Huge portions lovely staff highly recommended. Great out door space to eat as well. Nachos with chilli were amazing as was the other food options we tried.

We stopped here after a visit to Bodrum Castle, the food was excellent, this was last year between lockdowns, our only negative was that the staff doing table service, ( outside) didn't wear face masks, not sure if this has changed

I emailed ahead to check if booking a table was necessary and received the reply "You can just turn up. No need to book". As it was a sunny day we arrived at 11:50 just to be sure of getting a table, only to find that the entire pub was booked out for 3 hours. The staff member on duty was scarcely apologetic and didn't even appear to believe me until I showed her their email. Been a few times before and it was pretty good, so very disappointed.

Family and friends meal after visit in the Castle. Very friendly atmosphere. Homemade amazing, great looking food. Yummy fish and chips, amazing steak burgers, delicious cheesecake. Highly recommend 👌 Bob

The food was fantastic. After a walk round the castle, we wanted pub grub but this was far beyond that! The crab Mac and cheese was stunning, as was the sea bass. Highly recommend!!

Lovely meal covid secure in garden, the waitresses were lovely attentive and friendly. The food was delicious I had the risotto with chicken best I’ve had in a long time. You can tell everything is homemade. The puds were yummy too. Very family friendly. We’re local and will definitely be returning

Stopped here for a meal after a lovely walk with our dog along the river at bodiam castle, which is opposite the pub. The risotto was delicious and the chicken cooked perfectly. Staff friendly and all the tables are well spaced out so you feel very COVID safe.

Superb food, great service, lovely atmosphere - cannot fault it! It is very rare to have such good food in a pub, but The Castle Inn is the place for excellent food, a very friendly welcome and sitting in front of a real log fire.

This is a great place! We often walk here for a meal when we're camping at nearby Park Farm Campsite. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the menu changes regularly, offering some GREAT veggie/vegan options. I had the crunchy tofu bao buns with kimchi on our most recent visit and it was delicious, and the vegan cheesecake is amazing!

after a view of the castle we popped in on the off chance for a meal, so friendly and welcoming, food was fantastic, we all had kids meals that were just ample enough for lunchtime, mac cheese, fish and chips, vegan spag bolognaise which was soooo tasty....and the garlic bread ballisimo!!! ,deffo was so tasty...Highly recommend after a visit to the castle......top notch!!!!Thank you and good value for money

Greeted by a friendly member of staff. Fabulous food at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. Felt comfortable eating indoors with their Covid measures in place.

Thanks to Covid 19, we were obliged to "Social Distance" and sit outside.Service was excellent from a young and cheerful team and the sitting arrangements allowed plenty of space.The Fish and Chips was excellent, as always, in this well-run Family pub which always has a welcoming atmosphere!

Had a lovely lunch with husband and kids, food served quickly, very tasty and a beautiful building. We then tried to order a taxi back to our accommodation, the basic rate was £15 and card not accepted. We needed a taxi as a grumpy 4 year old and a heavy 1 year old wouldn't walk. Then Robyn one of the very kind bar staff offered to take us in her car! So much appreciated. It just restores your faith in kind people and she refused to take any money from me. Safe to say we will definitely be back and this time take our car x

Good beer and cider on offer. Tommy Taylor's beer. Food excellent. Leek and smoked ham frittata starter was to die for, best chips ever, wonderful fried fish in beer batter, served on lovely plates, prompt and helpful younger staff, garden, and social distancing well organised. We booked for 4 people in Marquee but was warm enough on 10th September to sit in the garden. The toffee and banana parfait was like home made ice cream, decorated with toffee sauce with pieces of banana covered in sliver of crispy caramel. Divine. Burgers were very good and vegan food too. Loos clean. No masks on staff who served us outside and they may need to change that. But distancing organised well inside and hand sanitiser provided. No temperature taken. They had our contact details because we booked. Very close by the romantic Bodiam Castle (a ruin). Only fthing I would add is to provide more comfortable chairs outside and parasols on not days-possibly?

We came across this pub purely by accident while out for a drive. Attention to covid guidelines was very clear. We were seated quickly, and food and drinks orders taken. We chose to sit outside on a pleasant day, with views of the local countryside. Our meals were very good, freshly cooked and tasty . Service was very friendly, with a genuine 'thank-you and good bye' when we left. Would recommend and return. Really convenient for a visit to Bodiam Castle, just opposite.

we had dinner here on bank holiday Monday. the food was terrific! there were so many vegan options and everything looked + tasted fabulous. service was friendly and pleasant. i would be happy to eat here again or recommend it to anyone else.

Great atmosphere and food for BH lunch. We visited with our daughter, son in law and 2 young grandsons. Service was friendly and efficient considering it was really busy . Our grandson (3) loved his first cheeseburger- just the right size and fish and chips were great too. We will return

Food is top quality and not dependent on how busy. Always accommodating, kids quirky appetites not a problem. Have been visiting for years and love the fact you know what you're getting. Such good value for money. Drinks not overpriced which is a bonus when you are eating good food. .Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 7. The food was very basic fish and chips was tasteless. Ploughman’s was very limited with only 1 onion loads of salad to fill the plate a slab of cheddar and a small slab on Brie and loads of pickle but no thought into the dish not worth the money and was very disappointed with all the dishes The menu was limited no happy The only good thing was the beer

We had two excellent meals here on our recent Holiday. The service and food was to a very high standard so we went back for another meal. There is lots of space and it feels very safe and Covid secure with you feeling uncomfortable. They do get very busy os wuold recommend booking.

We visited twice as we were staying at a local campsite with friends, we had a large party with children and dogs and had nothing but excellent service from the staff, lovely location, good COVID rules applied and the food and drink was excellent

Beautiful very big garden area with a gorgeous massive willow tree that has the river rother at the end. The staff and service us amazing I was very impressed. The food was really good and just a lovely friendly place to stop off for a drink or food.

With 4 hungry children from 9 to 14 the Castle In. Was perfect. The service was amazing with a wide menu and happy to make the small changes that make the meal perfect...as children do!! Great atmosphere, service and really managing this with COVID safety in mind. Thank you Castle Inn

We came into the Castle on the hottest day of the year, for lunch in a 13 person group of 3 families. We had booked, and there were some lovely outside tables ready for us, but as we had some young kids we asked if we could sit inside in the shade. Not a problem, of course. The pub was beautifully cool inside, and served lovely cold beer! The team there were very accommodating, polite, attentive and friendly, particularly Henry, who was particularly charming.The food we had was really lovely too, the fish and chips went down really well with several in the party. We brought a dog with us, and hadn’t asked beforehand if it was ok, but again - nothing was too much problem and Henry fetched some water for him. I couldn’t really fault our cost, and we’d definitely recommend it.

I camped nearby and attended the pub on three occasions. It is advisable to book a table to ensure you get a nice outdoor space, however, I was squeezed in on two visits by very accommodating staff. Due to the current pandemic they had changed their usual waiting practices and have now been equipped with Ipad's. This did lead to a bit of a muddle in orders coming to the table but everything was fixed and the food was excellent value even prior to the 50% discount. They are extremely busy and move as quickly as they can, so do bear with them.In particular Ross, Henry and I think Rebecca (blond lady with tattoo, sorry of name is incorrect) were great and made me feel completely at home and were more than happy to have a chat with quite a large group. The kids were allowed off to play in an adjacent field and our devices were continuously hooked up to their power.They are making the best they can in a difficult situation and in my opinion excelled. I was happy to continue going but alas my group wanted to expand their drinking base. I will definitely visit again and enjoy the river, castle, Sambuca and hospitality.

We had a booking for a large group & The Castle were amazingly efficient & friendly with their service & the food was great. I highly recommend it.

Booked a table for 2 for Sunday Lunch as we had been told it gets very busy, and yes it was. I chose the ham hock and leek macaroni cheese which was gorgeous. My husband ordered the mixed meat Sunday Lunch with extra yorkshire puddings and he wished he'd asked for extra pork crackling. The star of the meal was my husband's sticky toffee pudding which he said was the best he'd ever had. The price was very reasonable. The only thing stopping us giving a mark of 5 was that we felt a bit crushed in and my husband kept getting knocked by the people on the table behind. But overall a nice Sunday Lunch.

Lovely picturesque place right opposite the castle. Not a huge pub but it’s got a separate bar and restaurant area. The food was amazing and very filling. I am GF and there was a very detailed allergy book available and a couple of gluten free options however the chef was happy to adapt other meals for me. I had the fish pie which was lovely and then the most amazing chocolate cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream for pudding. If you go for anything go for the cheesecake. The service was friendly and we didn’t feel rushed or have to wait too long and even better was our dog was allowed in to sit with us for dinner.

We were told of this place by our host and we’re so glad we listened. The starter & main meal were first class, sadly no room left for a dessert. Beautiful

Absolutely outstanding food with a varied menu from pub classics to more unusual things like kedgeree scotch eggs (a must try one of the best things I have eaten) and monkfish tagine. I have had a variety of starters, mains and desserts, all have been excellent. The experience is made better by the wonderful staff who are always very friendly and will make you feel welcome. If we are looking to go out to eat we would be hard pushed to go somewhere else.To top all this off it is set in a wonderful location with Bodiam Castle just over the road, the Kent and East Sussex Railway nearby and a fantastic garden with stunning views. This is suitable for all parties, they even take dogs in the bar area with a separate restaurant if you prefer dog free.

After visiting this place three times now and 1st was for a drink with friends and family and the 2nd was a Sunday road with friends and family. Well today.. we went for a roast with some friends and they wanted to bring there dog, which we got told on the phone that “dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant” and after getting there a little early our table wasn’t yet ready. But we patiently waited for our table to be done which took seconds! But from there on it went down hill. We got shown to our table ( already having our menus) and then NOTHING. But a family walked straight into the restaurant “with their dog” and sat and ate.... We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. So we went up to the bar and ordered our selfs. Then our drinks came, but didn’t ask if we were ready to order, we then waited.... and waited ... we eventually had to order at the bar again.. After having our meal which I fact was lovely! Someone from our group then went to see if they could talk to a manager, To then find out there is “no manager, and no one here like one” So I thought I would put my experience on here, it’s a shame our last visits were great and this just ruined it.

We came for the Sunday roast whilst we visited the castle. We popped in to reserve a table and luckily we just got a table for lunchtime. We arrived at the stated time and our table was ready, we soon were seated and sorted out the drinks and food order. The roast dinners took a little while to arrive and there seemed to be a lot of other happy diners in the pub. The dinner came with two bowls of vegetables, enough for everyone to have second helpings. The meal was very enjoyable and we hope to return soon as a bigger group.

Very disappointing. We had popped in before about a year ago for a drink when visiting family and thought was worth another visit. This time we booked a table for a meal. Long wait on food and had to ask twice whether our food was on way. Very surly waitress.... When our food finally arrived it was not even cooked properly! My 10 year old wouldn't even touch his. It was Awfil. Very disappointing. Will not be back. Shame.

We are NT members so took the opportunity to visit Bodiam castle over the Christmas break. We love the castle but we also use it as an excuse to have lunch at the Inn. It was a glorious sunny day so pub was really busy. It is recommended at busy times to book a table especially if more than two people. We were lucky to secure a small table in the bar area which was comfortable and just enough out of the way. Lots of couples and families and dogs.There is always a good variety on the menu from lighter bites to main meals. I am a bit of a pub Fish and chip addict so had no problem choosing my option. My husband went for pie of the day which was surprising enough Turkey and bacon! Even though it was busy the food came in a reasonable time, no reheating here cooked properly. Good portions not too large. Where to start on review of fish and chips... lovely light batter, white fish and the chips were just right. I dont know how did it but the chips were chunky but not heavy or chip shop. Cooked to perfection and just enough. Normally i leave half the chips but not this time.The pie was nice as well served with bubble and squeak.Very reasonable prices for quality Good range of lager, beers, spirits and wine. Would recommend this Inn any time of the year. There is outdoor seating for summer and garden for kids and dogs.

We popped in for lunch and it was very busy. The log fire was burning and the place was buzzing! But we found a table and very quickly our orders were taken. The fish and chips I had was perfect. Plenty to eat and full of flavour. The staff work so hard and are very efficient.

Stopped here for lunch on our visit to Bodiam. Menu was good and staff were friendly. They had a full allergens menu available and the chef came out to discuss options as well as needed gluten free. Opted for the steak burger with a gluten free bun which was excellent, nicely cooked with lovely onion jam and chips. Also had the hake burger with a salad rather than bun. Beer and cider were also excellent. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Right opposite Bodiam Castle is the Castle Inn. Really welcoming. A pint each from a good choice, then fish and chips. Really tasty and served quickly and with a smile.

We had lunch in August where we booked for 11 people. When we arrived the place was so busy, everyone looked happy and our table was ready like planned. Even though they were so busy, all the staff were happy, friendly and all looked like they were working hard. We got to the bar in good time, as there were many bar staff on duty. Our food was in great time too, and very very nice. This is a place to recommend and we will return again. Thank you for a great meal!

This is the perfect location for a wander round glorious Bodiam castle, then a well earned drink at a lovely pub. And we were lucky enough to be able to sit in their gorgeous garden & watch the sun go down...before heading inside for a fabulous meal. We were really well looked after & beautifully fed....the smoked haddock starter particularly, was to die for. And then to be able to bed down in our camper van in their car park....true happiness.

Had lunch here recently. The lady in charge was very friendly and helpful. There was a very extensive menu. I was surprised when my toasted sandwich appeared to be fried.

Called into castle inn for late Saturday lunch, very friendly welcome, lovely to see dogs in a pub. Good beer super lunch testament to clean plates all round and even with a picky 8 year old. Deserts were enjoyed also, lovely warm open fire just perfect would strongly recommend

As sleep deprived campers, we were on the hunt for a hearty meal close to our Bodiam campsite. The Castle Inn didn’t disappoint - they served us hot, filling and delicious food with a friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble - even a request for a sliced gherkin to go with my daughter’s fish and chips!

Friendly staff, nice selection of beers and the food was really good! Downside.. The wasps.. Not the pubs fault though!

Brilliant home made burgers, fish one a winner indeed.Chips and coleslaw delicious too. Staff and visitors made it a friendly and happy place to sit both indoors and out even though it was 4.30 pm. .

Enjoyed a lovely meal today. Was very impressed with the quality food and amazing service on a seemingly frantic bank holiday. Despite the mass of people, the food was quickly on the table and was the right amount to satisfy a hungry family. All delivered in a friendly, warm and inviting manner. Be sure to check the spectacular ceiling.

Work locally and pop in from time to time for a lunch time drink

The food was brilliant, the people were extremely kind, the setting is brilliant, a bit expensive but because of the Castle Opposite & the Kent & East Sussex Railway just down the road its a captured audience so i understand that, parking is an issue if your going by road but other than that its brilliant

Our annual walk from Hawkhurst to Bodiam with our neighbours brings us to The Castle Inn for a few pints and a meal.

After visiting Bodiam castle, myself and the family were looking for a bite to eat. As this pub is just over the road and I still had ample parking time, I thought why not. I wasn't expecting much as 90% of pub's just reheat food and call it fresh.

After visiting many local pub it was refreshing to go into this pub still looking like a pub... The staff were helpful and took our order at the table, the food arrived within 10-15 mins freshly cooked and hot.

Had a meal here on impulse while staying at a nearby campsite, They found us a nice table in the window of the restaurant which was almost full and nicely buzzy. We started with a baked camembert to share plus a portion of empanadas, little Cornish pasty shaped pastries stuffed with Mexican flavoured chicken and black beans - both delicious. The main courses of fish and chips and scallop, salmon and prawn burger were generous portions, but a squeeze of lime would have helped the burger which was a little bland. The coleslaw didn't seem home made but chips were nice. The cheeseboard was the biggest I've seen with 3 cheeses, biscuits, chutney grapes, apple and crackers. The ginger crème brulee was a disappointment however as underneath the sugar top it had curdled and was the texture of scrambled egg. It was removed from the bill without fuss. Service was charming but a bit haphazard, mainly young girls and very hardworking. We'd come back - especially if we were really hungry!

We were able to walk to the pub from where we were staying and had an excellent breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday. On the Saturday we had a full English which was huge. Two sausages and two rashers of bacon and it tasted superb. On the Sunday, I had the salmon and scrambled egg, whilst my wife had the homemade baked beans. As per the day before, generous portion sizes and a fantastic flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful and the venue was clean. Definitely worth visiting if in the area.

So I went on an explore to find this pub. It was situated right next to Bodiam castle. It has outside seating which overlooks the railway for steam trains. A lovely old bridge to do some poo sticks with the kids. Plenty of open space & even a play field next to the field to kick a ball or play frisbee.

went to the pub sunday morning at 9oclock for breakfast,had the full English minus the black pudding,and wondererd if I could blag an extra sausage instead as themenujust said sausage not two.when the breakfast arrived I was prepared to be pleasantly disappointed as I so often am,but could not believe how lovely it was,an absolute joy to eat,great quality ingredients well cooked and served.thanks.

We were a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids) and went to the Castle Inn for dinner. Between us we sampled much of the evening menu and absolutely everything was delicious!! the service was great - very welcoming, attentive, and patient :-). We were served by Michelle who was lovely, but all the bar staff were equally nice. Then we went back for Sunday lunch the next day. Roast was amazing quality especially given the good price point. Also all served with truly fresh natural vegetables, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. We live 90 miles away but have decided that in time we'll make the journey back just for dinner :-)

Came across The Castle Inn whilst staying at Coopers Cottage. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a lovely large outside garden. Ideal for families and those with dogs.

After a visit to the Castle, which is just opposite, it was nice to have the opportunity to sit outside and have a well earned drink. The staff were pleasant and the surroundings were very comfortable. Although we didn't eat, the food looked very nice and was reasonably priced.

We popped in to this place a few times as we were camping about a 30 minute walk away. The first time we visited I went to the bar and staff behind the bar - 3 ladies - were trying to sort something out, but no 'I'll be with you in a minute' and when I did eventually get served after they kept looking round to check I was still stood at the bar there was no 'Sorry to keep you waiting' - I found them rude, we had 1 drink each and left. We decided to go back and give the pub another go, and decided to have a Sunday roast. I ordered the lamb and it was awful, so fatty and hardly any meat, I complained, I was told the chef would be informed and then nothing! No apology, nothing. It was £13 as well so not cheap. My partner however had the mixed roast dinner which is £14 and he did enjoy his, so it was 100% the lamb that let my dish down. This pub is very hit and miss, some staff are very friendly and happy and smiley and a couple of the others are not! We only visited this pub as it was walking distance and we could both have a drink each, if there had of been other pubs in walking distance we would not have gone back to this place.

Visited this Inn for a Sunday meal, whilst staying in the village. Beautiful setting, with lots of outdoor space next to a small river and the famous Bodiam Castle.

My wife and I walked along the river from our campsite 30 minutes away, so built up a good appetitte. We had a table inside overlooking the green and selected dinner from the menu. It came very quickly and was of good quality and quantity. I had the chicken wrapped in proscutio which was very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Popped in for lunch after visiting the castle and had fantastic time. All four of us had great food and would not change one thing. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area

Visited for lunch and had excellent grub - crayfish & smoked salmon sandwich, a brie and bacon baguette and a bowl of excellent chips - at a table in the garden. Huge grass area where the kids can play in sight of adults.

I've visited for lunch a few times over the years and have always liked you but last night's experience was even better than usual. The place looked very welcoming with candles lit on every table. The staff were friendly and efficient. The menu is well-balanced and interesting and the food was perfectly executed and beautifully presented. Top marks for everything and particular thanks for your vegan food. I had the best vegan macaroni cheese I've ever had and a really good chocolate and ice-cream dessert. So nice to be offered something other than sorbet. My omnivorous companions' nachos and fish and chips also looked great and were also well-received. Four very happy customers. Congratulations and thanks.

Being just across the road from Bodiam Castle this Inn was ideal for Sunday lunch. Thankfully we had booked a table - the queues for food were enormous! However, it was a bank holiday weekend! We opted for a variety of meals from traditional roast to a fish burger. All were presented well and delicious. We didn't have to wait too long despite the enormous pressure on the kitchen from the large numbers of diners. A great selection of beers and spirits. There is a large garden with seating; great views of the River. Lovely place to be especially on a sunny day.

Popped in today for lunch with doggies, the roast lamb was yummy, hubby had the beef and was just as nice, the ginger creme brûlée was scrummy, definitely recommend this pub, and when u walk in, look at the ceiling...Amazing! Thank you

We were visiting the castle and decided to walk across to the pub for a bite to eat in the sun! Glad we did. Great beer selection, not just the normal selection you see elsewhere. We had two burgers and they were fantastic. The chilli jam really accompanied them well. Friendly staff, prompt service, good beer and food, great garden. Ticks all my boxes!

Very friendly hosts, we stayed overnight in our Motor home in their carpark. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal and a pint or two. Breakfasts are served on Saturday s and Sundays. Great location, directly opposite the National Trust Bodiam Castle, and not far from Bodiam Station on the Robertsbridge heritage railway.

We were traveling down to stay in Rye and wanted somewhere to stop off for lunch and be able to take our dog for a walk. Having read that there is a riverside walk on the door and the food reviews were good we decided to book a table and so glad we did. The food and service was very good and reasonably priced, and whilst we were there due to a sudden change in the weather, hoards of people arrived all looking for a place to sit and eat, fortunately we already had a lovely cosy table by the open fire.

This village pub is perfectly situated for its close proximity to Bodiam Castle just across the road. The pub has everything you could possibly ask for - a good choice of beers and other drinks, excellent pub grub, and very friendly and welcoming staff, not to mention reasonable prices. There is ample parking available, and even wi-fi if that is what you want! A most enjoyable prelude to our visit to the castle in the afternoon.

Our plan was, having taken the train to Bodiam, to get a quick bite at the National Trust cafe by teh castle. Unfortunately this proved to be noisy and witha very limited menu so we thight we would try "over the road" at the Castle Inn.

Went to Castle pub & restaurant after visiting Bodiam castle. Had a lovely meal. Best fish & chips I’ve had In a long time. Very good portions & cooked well. Homemade tartar sauce.

Finding ourselves on a weekend break which coincided with Mother's Day meant we called into 5 busy pubs before reaching Castle Inn. Expecting another 'we're full sorry' response, I was pleasantly surprised with, we can, but there's only tables outside. This was fine, as it was a lovely afternoon. We got drinks and went to order at the bar and the lovely lady behind the bar said as there was only 4 of us, we could take the small table in the bar area. Perfect! The pub was heaving, but our food came without delay and we all agreed it was one of the best Sunday roasts we've ever enjoyed in a pub. The nut roast was really tasty and I'm told the meat was delicious, particularly the pork crackling. Great service, delicious food and excellent value. And to top it off, immediately across the road from our next stop, Bodium Castle. Thank you!

Lovely meal this lunchtime. It is a regular place for us to eat. Always good service and good value. My wife suffers with Coeliac disease. They offer a good range of gluten free dishes but will adapt many of their dishes for her as well. Being directly opposite the Bodiam Castle a National Trust property, you can get history and have a nice meal as well.

This is our favourite go-to place for "girls' lunch". I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal here and the menu is innovative and changes regularly but also includes some regular pub favourites. Wendy is always most welcoming and dogs are also welcomed in the bar. Wonderful log fire in the winter and a very pleasant terrace outside in the summer. It does get very busy over the weekends but is a great place to visit during the week.

After visiting Bodiam Castle we went for lunch at this cosy pub around 1pm. Loads of room and friendly service. The food was really tasty and good value. Would recommend!

On opening the door we were greeted by a smile from the lady behind the bar. Asked us what we would like and straight away offered us to take a seat and she would bring our drinks over. Very nice coffee served. Spoke to us about the fire place. Although we were not eating a good selection was on offer. Nice and clean. Amazing painting on main bar ceiling. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited on during the trip a Castle near by. With just a couple of minutes to breakfast being finished we were lucky to order one! Food was amazing, decent portion,EVERYTHING cooked to perfection! Fantastic! Service brilliant. Thank you
