I quite like the Dead Pigeon, so wanted to give this second venue from the same team a go - the venue used to be Barclays Bank, opposite the Cricketers pub in Rainham. Inside, I think I was expecting something a bit more quaint and pub-like, but the ambience was very much more like office space, all of which had been painted black and then had tables and a bar added - I suppose it did use to be a bank, so this makes sense, but was a surprise. There are lots of large screens in here showing sport. Good atmosphere overall. It works. The bar offers a good choice of beers - had a Hacker-Pschorr, which I havenāt had anywhere since I drank it in Bristol in 2019 (aboard Spyglass) - a decent choice. The food is the star of the show here - big burgers, loaded fries, onion rings, chicken tenders and the like. Very instagramable and extremely scrannable. We ordered a sharing platter - two lots of tenders, onion rings and loaded fries. This was loads of food, all of it gorgeous - one lot of tenders was garlic and the other buffalo. Decent chips as well and gorgeous onion rings. I love onion rings. Big and fluffy, but not too fluffy. Just right. The tenders were big, juicy and moist. I think next time I go Iāll try plain tenders and have a couple of the hot dips - the gravy and hot naga cheese were absolutely superb, but they didnāt go that well with buffalo.. š The burgers here look good - they do a tray where you have tenders, burgers, chips etc, but I think thatās too much for me. Iāll come back and try and burger though. Overall, good place for a meal - definitely recommended and worthy. You wonāt get a better burger or tenders in Rainham, thatās for certain.

Honestly is not great the food is bland and tasteless, the pies are not even cooked that well and they are pre made! Hand on heart what was completely shocking was the fish n chip shop staple the curry sauce! I am not over exaggerating it was the worst curry sauce I have ever ever seen and it was disgusting. I canāt explain how bad it was honestly it was chunks and very watery and clear and like vomit, floating in water, I took it back for another pot and they gave me another absolute abomination and said thatās how we make it and they charge Ā£1.00 - Ā£1.50. It tastes of nothing and the texture was beyond gross. You can literally buy a pot of curry sauce granules from aldis for a quid and get 10 servings and add hot water and itās delicious, it takes 20 seconds if that to make, why they donāt do this is beyond me, to have no care is sad, the dish looks like itās anaemic, but the sauce oh dear⦠And how the owners have no pride in the quality is beyond me Iāll never go back and neither will others in my family they have literally lost customers, the sauce is worse that Jordans knickers after a night out. The sauce was binned after one dip btw!

Ordered delivery, roll and two cream cakes. The ro was sooo fresh, the ingredients really fresh also had salad in roll which can be limp... But this was so delicious and crisp š the cream donuts were huge and sublime! I used to order sandwiches from a very well known chain, but after limp salad and stale bread gave up... Until I discovered Boyce bakery wow wow.. brilliant! My new fave š

Ordered a delivery last night the person took my card details and once he had taken my money he proceeds to tell me that delivery would be about an hour and twenty minutes because he only had one delivery. Surely it would be better practice for him to have given me that choice before taking my order, however it was delivered on time. Before ordering I asked if the meat apart from the pork was halal and was told it was. My sweet and sour soup unknown to me had pork in it. I rang to double check, same person asked the chef and said yes it had pork in it. My argument is when Iām asking about halal Iām a Muslim so surely he should have questioned my prefer for soup and asked āif I was aware there was pork in the soupā. His menu does not list the ingredients in any of the food so we are relying on him to inform us using his judgement, not calling back later in the evening as an after thought offering a replacement dish which fair play to him kind of redeems him to a degree as it was a kind gesture. My problem know is that I have a lot of food left over but can I trust this person who has told me āitās halalā to eat what I havenāt yet opened for lunch today? It beggars belief how quickly trust can be broken!!

I have used this cafe for a good few years. The food has now gotten a bit hit and miss today I got a pie and chips which I asked to be made sure it was hot. The centre of the pie was cold .I did tell them the food was cold so I could not eat it and I sent it back. When I went to pay they charged me the full price
