The staff make this place a wonderful experience. Michelle today served us and was kind and generous in her care. The bacon roll is okay - the staff are brilliant- that’s why we go back. Cakes are wonderful sausage rolls awesome.

Gillingham Anchorians Mini & Youth rugby club celebrated their end of season bbq and presentations today and Michelle at Boyces Bakery Rainham went above and beyond in helping to provide and very kindly slice nearly 500 burger and hot dog buns. She also arranged for them to be ready for collection at 6.30am on a Sunday morning. Cannot thank her enough for her help and ease of ordering! Thanks Michelle and Boyces Bakery Rainham. We will definitely be back! ☀️🏉

I have been a regular customer since they opened, however, my visit today and previously I’ve not been impressed! Having taken away the 2 sofas, and coffee tables which was a nice feature, to fill the space with far to many tables, so much so, it’s like an obstacle course trying to navigate your way through tables to get to to the toilet! I don’t have any mobility problems and I found it difficult, and when a lady with a walker tried to get to them it was nigh on impossible, people had to get up from their tables and physically move their chairs or hold their chairs out the way for the lady to get through, interrupting their lunch, not acceptable. It just looks totally congested now, bearing in mind also there are often prams there which with an already over congested area becomes even more so. Also, there are not enough staff serving, with the one or 2 ladies serving, who then both have to go away to make up the customer’s ordered sandwiches/rolls! So a build of queuing customers waiting to be served with no one there serving! There needs to be a better system, maybe a dedicated person or 2 just making up the food orders, another coffee machine so more then one person can be making coffee, there always seems to be at least 4/5 people serving on the takeaway counter, the staff ratio to each side seems in favour of that section! Seems sad the way it’s changing, certainly not for the better! Please go back to how you originally was, a much more pleasant environment to sit in and enjoy a coffee. Your food and cakes can’t be faulted it’s just the long wait and now the congestion too!! Just one other mention, your door, which doesn’t close and seems to be left open because of this even with a sign on it saying ‘please close’. So it’s always really cold in there!!

I've been a loyal customer to boycies since the rainham shopping centre one opened and gone at least 1-2 times aweek I visited on Friday 12th January 2024 for lunch and all I can say was how disappointed I was I had to clear my own table as it was dirty and had previous customers rubbish left on there were more tables with empty trays on than clean tables and it wasn't busy so I can't see why the tables were so dirty. Also since my last visit the prices have gone up quite a bit I know prices have to go up but it is now quite expensive to go to boycies for lunch especially when there's a greegs outside and a tesco that do meal deals I'm sorry to say boycies is out of my price range now so what was a weekly treat will now be monthly or not at all im very disappointed as it always used to be clean and reasonably priced its gone down hill.

I visited the coffee shop today, it was very busy with very few tables available. There was one very busy member of staff on duty dealing with ordering, preparing and serving. Whilst at least 5 members of staff were milling about oblivious to the coffee shop and the customers waiting to be served. I asked for another member of staff to help but was told “they did not like working in the coffee shop” Apart from the inconvenience of waiting, I was also concerned about the cross contamination that I observed, with staff handling money and then handling all the food, meats, and salads without gloves and without washing their hands. Not a good experience!

if you want stodgy old fashioned cakes THIS IS THE PLACE. IF YOU WANT UP TO THE DATE CAKES best try another shop

The soft rolls are getting smaller each week but the price stays the same make the rolls bigger again

Our 1st visit today met by a young helpful young man who gave help guidance and assistance on the hot curry and steak slices he advised you can reheat the snacks and purchase frozen ones too we then purchased cheese cakes with cream and long soft hot dog finger rolls he was very helpful and polite we left our shopping there while we continued shopping in the centre we recommend and will return for breakfast and coffee this bakery is also very well priced Thank you Cliff

Such a great spot for lunch. Went with my friend and our kids , the little kitchen corner is ideal for them. The roll was delicious and most of all the staff are so friendly. In particular Bobby, thank you and we will defo be back

Lovely bakery. I had a liver sausage roll which not many places do, but is a favourite of mine. Love that they have space for takeaway and a separate space for eating in. It was busy, but that's because it is popular. The queues moved quickly and it didn't take long before we were served food and coffee. Will be back.

Dirty tables had to clear ourselves very slow service over 20 minutes wait to order food to sit in and eat lady with an eyepatch served me she was very polite and apologised for the wait. Maybe they should have someone taking orders and someone else making them instead of the staff member who takes the orders it would run better I think.

Just had a lovely visit to Boyce’s bakery in Rainham. Great food and faultless service. Sue & Michelle especially were so helpful and kind and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Thank you 😊
