Centre Cafe in Medway

In a rush for quick breakfast , this place seemed to fit the bill . The tea and coffee were hot but fairly tasteless . The toast was soggy with a something other than butter on it and the poached eggs were hard, the bacon was warmed through not cooked , so overall we were not impressed

I stopped off at this cafe to kill a bit of time. I ordered an Americano coffee, I don't take milk or sugar. The coffee arrived but once I tasted it I doubt very much it was a freshly made coffee. I'm not a complainer so I just drank it anyway and expected to pay around £1.50 for it. When I went to pay I was told the price was £5.60!! I nearly fell to the floor! I was so flabagasted I paid and left. That price was ludicrous! I've travelled the world and never paid that much for a cup of coffee! It's cheaper in the more expensive speciality coffee shops! Terrible and will never gi back.

The centre cafe is now charging £2 80 for a cup of coffee with a drop of cold milk. 50yards away is a very nice coffee shop with real coffee not from a tin which is£2.50. The cafe is now over priced

Went to centre cafe this morning poped in after having a hair cut. greeted by two really pleasant staff .had omelette chips and beans.wow what good value for money and cooked well 'would definitely go there again..

I eat in this cafe most days. They have just put up the price of the food. In the past few weeks 1st they forgot to serve me and i and got up and left. 2nd time they forgot my food. And today my food was just warm. Gone down hill.

We have visited this cafe on a number of occasions and all have been good. They offer takeaway. Large menu including all usual cafe meals. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

I eat in here every day nice clean cafe the food is good at a fair price. It seats 44 very tight when its full up The service is quick the food comes out just as fast. Nice staff all in all a good cafe.

Popped in to have a meal had sausage and mash & fried onions nice & hot very tasty good meal would go there again next time I’m in kent

A good no-nonsence get what you pay for average cafe. It's clean. Service is good. Only down side is they only take cash....no cards...which is a pain in the rear!

Great fry ups, friendly chef who recognises you and knows what you like. Plenty to choose from on the menu with a quick service. Very clean

The breakfast of Sausage, bacon, egg, fried bread, beans, bread and butter and coffee at £6.70 was not nice to eat and not value for money. Sausages were tasteless, bacon tasted fatty, egg was hard. Beans and fried bread ok. Over priced for poor quality meat. Went to pay, staff member asked me if it was ok, I said "No" and explained why. He replied "You no like" and still charged full amount for our meal . Not even an apology, will not eat there again.

Lovely cafe. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Lovely choice on menu. Toilets available. Central position in Rainham.

This is one of two grill type cafes here, the other Star Grill is larger but not yet listed. Far more people in here, and with nearly 50 inside, can be a tight fit, especially for trolleys and buggies. Quite a large menu, from which I very rarely ordered no.18 (Gammon steak, peas, chips and egg and a nice touch - a pineapple ring). The spaghetti boulognaise had chips and peas, which put me off, but they are flexible over all day breakfasts and serve you quickly at your table. No high chairs, but the only infant present was in full voice. Sauces on every table and the main was enough without a sweet. This is the café I remember from years ago, and you can sit at a few tables outside. The number system for menu seems to work well, like in a Chinese takeaway, but outside you may think the main offerings are sandwiches and baguettes. Phone orders are ready in 10 minutes. .Plenty of chips on most plates.
