I thoroughly recommend Waterstone's cafe in Maidstone. I am a coeliac and they always ask if anyone has allegies, check in their folder and show you. They use a clean pair of tongs and whilst they can't guarantee cross contamination, they take every possible care. The GF Cappuccino cake is delicious (just leave me some!!). I feel confident eating there and it is my favourite place to have lunch/snack in Maidstone.

First time we had visited for a while. So glad we did. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. We both had steak and ale pie which was very tasty and very welcome on a freezing day. Could only manage to share a dessert, orange and passion fruit cheesecake. Again excellent.
Don’t think we’ll be leaving it so long to return!
Absolutely shocking roast wouldn’t recommend someone’s cat to eat there stone cold I’m not even sure if they cooked the meat may as well of had a live cow lamb and pig on my plate SHOCKING DO NOT GO

Omg I have had Wendy’s for the first time the other day it was unbelievably delicious I thought I wouldn’t like it as I was trying new things out as McDonald was my go to take out now Wendy’s has has the top of the list for me and the staff was so respectful and it was so clean inside was definitely go more often now
I dont often leave reviews, but I feel this experience deserves one. We visited today, and our waitress ( I think her name was Shareen) was soo bubbly and helpful. She made my daughter feel included as she is very shy and my daughter even said she liked her. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was lovely and was brought out promptly. Great experience had thankyou. Will be coming again soon!
The food was well prepared, for the most part, but the portion size was inadequate for the price. We almost considered getting a fast food takeout afterwards.
Pork belly was nice, but tiny. The "gnocchi" was nothing like gnocchi that we knew, it was more like mashed potatoes little cylinders (4 of them!). Disappointing, as this was a reunion dinner with an old friend.
Visited one night, when stopping in town. It happened to be the quiz night, so many of the tables were reserved. We did manage to get a good table however. Foodwise, I had the mango chicken skewer, and my wife had the steak and ale pie. Both meals were excellent, and good value. Nice range of beers also. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and had time for a chat.
Anticipating a big Sunday roast the four of us didn’t have a starter. We ordered two roast chicken dinners and two chicken caesar salads. The latter were fine. However the roasts echo previous comments ie underwhelming, overcooked, especially the veg and pigs in blankets. The exception being the potatoes which were if anything a bit anaemic. “Gareth’s gorgeous gravy” didn’t live up to its website description, being too thin and served in a half pint beer mug! It’s only use was to try to soften the thrice-baked Yorkshire pudding. At £14 for the dish it’s reasonable value overall. A good roast comes in at £18-£20 these days so the saying “ you get what you pay for” appears to be true.
Phoned the day before and was told that we didn't need to book a table in order to eat, yet the following day we turned up and was refused food as we hadn't booked a table, even though we were told not to book the day before, wasn't able to book one there and then either, staff weren't accommodating and actually quite rude.
We ended up going to the fish & chips
Been using this kebab for a couple years and been lovely but tonight was a big let down, everything tasted reheated , the kebab was no where near as nice as usual, the chips they have obviously changed to cheap version than what they was using that taste like powder , didn’t add sauces to order and the chilli sauce that was on it was somehow dry , won’t be reusing for now which is a shame .
