Always had a pleasant experience at this costa. Staff are great, especially the man who works here. He always goes that extra mile. Coffee is always good 👍

Really liked it light airy despite being on a main road. Will use again

The barista made me a perfect dry cappuccino, but they made my porridge with hot water ( some Costas use milk, much nicer)

I notice a lot of reviews here are written by self-important idiots, I visit this branch daily and can't fault my experiences, staff are friendly and kind, there is a great atmosphere which brings customers back day after day and the food / drink is always impeccable. 5 stars from me, don't listen to the moaners who can't spell Bearsted...

Unfortunately another bad experience at Bearsted Costa. The staff do not it seem to have any customer service training. It's a mix of confrontational and unfriendly behaviour. This store stands out in the worst possible way. I wouldn't recommend going there

Not for the first time I found the young female staff both unfriendly, rude bordering on confrontational. The coffee was badly made and there was no knife etc to cut the cakes with. I just got a rude sarcastic comment about it. Hopefully won't be going back there.

Costa has good coffee and it's a relaxing atmosphere

Went to costa in Beardstead which is nr my daughters we ordered coffees daughter having flat white , myself had americano and granddaughter had a baby chino we all had cheese on toast which was yummy and coffee were hot was busy but enjoyed lunch there

Monday afternoon and a late lunch and coffees at our local Costa. Lovely warm welcome by our lovely ladies and the food and coffees were just right. Can't find a better place to while away a few minutes and relax!

Putting aside the creeping rise in prices at Costa, this store really destroys the ambience and environment that many who remember Costa in its earlier years promised. The current staff don't smile at customers. They don't engage in anything more than taking your order. There is no friendliness. This is my closest coffee shop and logistically it is well placed to get passing trade, and it shows in every sinew of it's operation. On my visit, tables were left uncleaned, and the table i chose, i had to clear the table and then avoid the crumbs on the floor and sticky coffee residue on the table. I ordered toast. I was told to take a seat whilst it was toasting. But when it is ready, they call you over to get it... it would take 2 seconds to bring it over (and they could pick up the used plates on the way back). The store hide the serviettes, so you have to ask for them. And they lock the toilet and you need to enter a code on the bottom of the receipt. You never know if the toilet is occupied until you enter the code and it doesn't open - but even then you wonder if you didn't do it properly, so then you try again and probably again. In previous visits i've witnessed the area manager discussing staff inn public earshot in the restaurant. I have made numerous feedback submissions on the Costa website, but they rarely reply. This really is an awful example of a Costa franchise. And that is in comparison to the Costa chain in general, which clearly after cornering the market is exploiting their position and raising prices (whilst removing sausages from the breakfast bap!). I for one have drastically reduced visits to Costa and now will stop completely. The amount i must have spent over the last 10 years at Costa is crazy, and i feel used. I imagine many customers do. Yet they get our trade - i guess stopping to get a coffee on the way to work, having somewhere to meet a friend or a quick business chat is what Costa relies on. We in this Country really need to see how these massive companies take advantage of people not keeping an eye on these 'pennies'.. as if they did they would realise in fact they are now lots of pounds and would have never let Costa get into this monopoly position that they are now in.

The store is great and the staff are lovely. However I came here for a coffee and to work this morning and there is no access to charge my laptop so I am having to go elsewhere. Very frustrating as Starbucks and other coffee shops have sockets that you are allowed to use to charge your laptop!

The coffee was OK but this Costa Coffee outlet in the Next store in Barstead, Maidstone is the worst Costa I have ever been in. I appreciate that it can get busy but no effort had been made to either clear the tables or sweep the floor. We certainly won't be going back.

The food and drink was ok but nothing special, service was poor with staff looking disinterested and making no effort to clear tables.

Shop was virtually empty. Service was quick, although staff member would not let me have key code number for the toilet until I had my receipt for the coffee, she said the code was on the receipt and she couldn't tell me what it was although I explained I was desperate for the loo.

Really slow and really rude - left in the end without ordering

The coffee is good (typical Costa) but the customer experience is decidedly average (also typical Costa unfortunately). If you’re a lone dog walker, get the app to order in advance or you’ll get told off for taking your pooch into the shop; there’s nowhere to tie them up outside.

The surroundings are a trifle worn looking but the coffee is very good and staff are extremely pleasant

Really rude staff. Asked if I could add something to my order and was told very bluntly “depends what it is” asked for one of the new iced whipped lattes and the girl rolled her eyes and gave a massive sigh. She then had to read how to make one. Clearly a big inconvenience to her. Won’t be returning!

Needs a refit come on Coca Cola sort all your Costa Coffee sites out the staff here are excellent.

Very busy but staff are good and service is as quick as possible at lunchtime. Relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy lunch.

Top quality A* service today as usual from the team at Costa in Bearsted who are every day face to face with Bearsted's very own chelsea-tractor driving middle-class militia. Respect.

Worst Costa I've been in, staff not friendly.

Went in today and ordered a frostino… after I had already paid, the woman behind the counter told me there was no cream and was extremely rude and told me to deal with it. Disgraceful. Person in front also got told that they were getting it served in take away cups after they’d paid for eat in. He was rudely confronted too.

Not one of the best Costas, staff not friendly and tables not clean, convenient for a quick coffee but wont be returning.

Cups and teapots were dirty, and there was a hair on my cup. The counter looked grubby.Our toasties were only toasted on one side and soggy. The tables needed a good wipe clean and looked very old and needed revarnishing.The loo also was in need of a thorough clean,floor wash etc Definitely won't go back.

Not very clean, no hand gel, dirty surfaces. Tables don't get cleared quick enough. Terrible outside peeling decor. Had to take grandchildren into dirty toilets.

Lovely service, but need more staff on, the place was a disgrace tables not cleared, all the time we were there, the floor hasn't seen a broom for goodness knows how long. The table bases haven't been washed or dusted. For such a lovely place this was very disappointing.

Coffee Shop not interested in Walk in as admitted by Staff. In my hours lunch break I went to order a sandwich and coffee after 15 min of waiting I asked the counter staff if they would take my order. Her words to me were that she is unable to take my order as they must prioritise deliveries as they pay more. She also confirmed previous customer have complained but Costa is not interested and that I will be told the same. Really nice to know that Costa Coffee are customer focused and respect their customers. Walk in at your own risk or choose to pay more for delivery if you want a pleasant experience. I won’t be bothering to do either and will always look to buy elsewhere, where my custom is appreciated.

Spot on latte friendly staff efficient service

Grubby seating area, dirty trays. Tables aren't cleared. Toilets are revolting. Staff are too busy loafing behind the counter to do their job.

Absolutely disgusted with staff in this store! A year into a global pandemic you do not expect to see a barista remove mask, blow nose, pull mask up and continue making iced drinks! I had to ask her to wash her hands!! She was extremely surprised at my request! Manager stood there and didn’t say a word! Will not return or recommend!

Cheery staff, safe and very quick service! One of my favourite Costa's.

I had an unacceptable experience at this location. I have a bias because I worked briefly as a barista, however, the latte I received was unacceptable by every measure. I had to get someone else's opinion to prove I wasn't going crazy! They thought the coffee tasted foul too! I watched the coffee drip out of the portafilter, and I instantly recognized it looked too watery. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be that guy, but when I sipped the latte on the drive home, I realized there was a problem. It tasted overly watery as I expected, and it was really really bitter. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would've taken it back. I hope this location fixes its quality issues. The coffee I had was really undrinkable, and I'm not exaggerating.

Clean, spacious, great range of food and drinks available. Baristas are friendly, professional, hard working and keep waiting times to a minimum. My new go to Costa in that area

My wife and I had stopped off on our walk for a coffee at costa coffee Bearsted and we both thought that the coffee wasn't very nice .

Coffee was fine but the boy who made it seemed to be more interested in having a chat with the man in front of me in the queue whom he seemed to know. Without exaggeration it took 10 minutes as a consequence for me to get one coffee when there were only two of us in a queue! Poor service therefore

Good hot chocolate, plenty of choice but you had run out of muffins with 4 hours of the day left. I had a medical need for a blueberry muffin with my coffee and could have died.......ok not really 😂

Terrible service, terrible rude member of staff on more than one occasion, she even told me her name so I could complain about her. So I have complained about you not that I think it will make any difference to your extremely poor attitude, gloating about giving me your name and telling me to complain. Costa you need to get your act together and read these reviews about this particular store because it’s not a good advertisement for you. It’s also very dirty. This is the only Costa store I have ever been in that I will not return to. Such a shame because it’s so local. This used to be such a good one. No longer with these members of staff. Wish I could give you zero stars. Good luck.

Nice coffee shop for meeting up...

Onc upon it was my best cafe but now I am done. Coffee latte bought from various Costa Coffee I could not enjoy and threw. But lastly we bought Latte from Sidcup branch four of us became ill. What went wrong with this brand and quality?? What a shame.. No more Costa for me.

THE SERVICE WAS BAD> THE PLACE WAS DIRTY, tables not cleared and floor dirtyDrinks were served to the top of cup..no room for milk or cream. Order taken for two people and left with only one staff on duty as order taker cleared off for some reason.Will not ever use the place again.

Went for a coffee this morning and the service was good and staff were friendly but I was concerned to see some customers, "doing" each other's hair in the cafe. Not hygienic in the slightest!

Nice staff good location. Several people clearing there tables before sitting down but this is not the norm.

Overall a nice coffee shop, but guys PLEASE stop asking me if I want a CHARACTER BLEND, especially as you are going to charge me an extra 25p for it, if I wanted one I would ask. On a positive note weekend staff at this costa are very pleasant and a credit to Costa Coffee.

Excellent service, a team with passion and nice and clean

Less busy than most Costa's so much easier to get your order quickly! Located on the main road the A20 next to a Tesco Express petrol station with limited free parking outside. Usual Costa prices but always well stocked with cakes and snacks etc
