Subway in Maidstone

UPDATE… This store has been run into the ground, the lovely staff members have all left, one very nice young man “sacked” for a pathetic reason. We now go to Sainsbury’s and buy large rolls and fillings and make our own. What can one say.... it’s a big roll with filling. Staff mostly friendly. Can run low on fillings towards the end of the day.

First subway for ages as been on a particular diet...very enjoyable

Been to subway in the morning after finishing nights shift at 7am, getting myself a veggie breakwich foot long and my Mrs a poached egg and cheese foot long. The lad who served me clearly wasn't in the mood maybe a bad start to the day, didn't show any enthusiasm making the sub sandwiches and nearly charged me £16! After scanning the QR Code to get 50% off any sub foot long which expires tomorrow, told him he'd charging me the wrong price, he complained the till isn't working properly and needs updating, rescans the qr code, he charged me again but from £11.99 to £8.99! He's done it wrong again, the veggie breakwich is £5.49 foot long and poached egg and cheese foot long is £3.79, add them together £9.28, and the qr code supposedly taking 50% off!! Should've been £6.54 or £7.39, I just paid £8.99 and left. Clearly this place is hiring young lads who only doing it for the money and don't care about the work. Need to hire better staff.

Went in today and was told there was no vegetarian option available. Not impressed and won’t be going there again.

Mess up the order every time When will you employ people with more than half a brain cell

Subway isn't what it used to be. It was always so fresh and everyone loved it but these days, it doesn't matter what one u go to, all the salads are dry and brown and the bread seems to be really hard.

Came in for lunch while on a day visit to a relative. Used to live in the village so thought pop in to see what it was like. Both my partner and I went for our subway favourite the Meatball sub. Walked back to were we where visiting and got stuck in . Not impressed on this occasion meatballs tasted like those canned ones you get in the cheap tinned section of a supermarket. Something you have at home to give children that's quick and Easy. Staff did seem new could tell they seemed abit overwhelmed and lost and only one staff who seemed to be on point.

I popped in to the staplehurst branch today and it was so refreshing to see such happy, polite and helpful ladies behind the counter. Their names were Sam and Tracy and they really made a huge difference to the usual subway experience. The little things make a big difference, thanks ladies!

Its the 1st subway ive ever been to that has told me i cant have any salad or sauce in my meal,because its from the set menu. The little woman seems to be a bit power hungry.

Appalling and inedible. Three young lads working there are clueless and disorganised. Tried to wrap the sandwich up in an undersized napkin by squashing it. Picked up each wedge individually and threw into box because too hot. Why not just tip them in from the grease proof paper?? Drowned the whole thing in mayo. Didn’t complain because in a rush and already been waiting 10 minutes. Never again!

Very poor attitude and delivery . Went today to get a Big Breakwich sub only to be told they have run out of sausage ? How ? It was 12.30 in the day . Was told “ didn’t get enough out “ as if that was acceptable . No real apology just a shrug of shoulder . Not the first time this has happened in this branch . The worst I’ve visited for speed , application. , stock and attitude . Very poorly managed and run

Drove round trip of 12 miles to get brunch for myself and wife . Looking forward to a Big Breakwich sub but told on arrival “ No Sausage “ in an abrupt manor by I assume the manager . When asked why I was told “ I didn’t take enough out today “ !! It was just gone 12 in the day just before a busy lunch period so why wasn’t stock available that early in the day . Twice this has happened at that branch now . I asked for a foot long with extra bacon only to be given a 6 inch sub to which I had to ask for another . Got home and the bread was hard and not the same without the right ingredient . Poor stock control , poor management and poor service yet again .

Saturday evening in Staplehurst, not exactly Kents highlight but can recommend this Subway, especially the sandwich artist, lovely girl working hard by herself

No atmosphere and terrible service. I wasn't even greeted by the staff. They just stood there staring at me? Got half way through my order before telling me they were out of chicken so had to reorder a different sub. Never seen someone make a sandwich so slow. To top it off, bread wasn't fresh and made such a mess eating. Will not be returning or recommending. Basic customer service/training needed.

Went in last night as they were closing, Perry and nathan who served us were absolute legends!

Lovely staff landed with an updated menu that is so expensive no one seems to be purchasing from them, Subway have surely made an error here. Sub of the day also gone. We deferred to Greggs, as did every other customer we saw whilst there.

Every time I try to use this Subway the shop is out of essential fillings!

Just been served by a young man (his first day). So polite and helpful and explained the new menu to us. Ordered two foot long Subs. Absolutely delicious! All the team at this shop were helpful, polite and friendly. The store was spotlessly clean. Excellent customer service received! Would definitely visit again. Thank you! 😊

Bread stale just crumbled and fell apart rock hard no stock and only allowed to pick 3 of the salad items no more for me

Wife's gets home. Entire sub falls out of its wrapper. Pretty sure lesson one is bagging up the sub

Didn't have 4 main ingredients in stock...used to be okay but seems to be running down already. Very poor. Double service without a smile to top it off

Absolutely shocking service , 15 min wait for backlogged orders ,poor handling of the food , women was wearing a ripped glove and handling the food with her bare fingers , not impressed, all seem very under trained or all go something wrong with them

I used to love subway but recently they have really let me down there workers are disrespectful and rude I won’t ever be going there again

8.45am Sunday morning, wanting to get breakfast and the store is closed. The lights are on and people are inside but there’s no notice displayed or information of revised opening times! Disappointing! Tried calling the listed phone number and no one answers.

Always closing early. You arrive at 20:20 and they're closed. Even tho they're supposed to be open till 9pm. My other favorite is spending 5 minutes ordering in the app just to be rejected before checkout because the store is closed... time wasters

Good service. Pleasant friendly staff and usual tasty subway, as always. Stupidly left my bag behind which I did not realise until an hour later when I had driven home.Huge gratitude to the staff who kept it safe for me (and the honest person(s) who handed it in) and saved my day! Extra Stars!

Great food prepared very quickly and with care. The best subway around. Courteous staff and the whole shop is very clean and hygienic. Well done!!!

The guys in this subway know what they're doing. All 5 breads regularly available. Friendly and efficient. And the subway is co-located with Gregg's so you can pick up a vegan sausage roll on your way out if you have regret at only ordering a 6 inch sub.

Evening shift crew are awesome. Food was bang on but no meatballs available any evening I have visited. Tip: go for the nachos. Yum.

Nice little treat. They didn't have all the salad today or lids for the drinks which was a shame but overall good service.

It's only what you would expect from a multi-chain sandwich franchise. Set inside the local Spar supermarket, there's plenty of parking available nearby. The service is friendly enough but the food is only OK, nothing exceptional. Reasonably priced.

It's pretty much what you'd expect from a Subway - formulaic bland food made to a set standard. You don't go to a Subway expecting great food so you're not going to be disappointed here. You'd be just as well grabbing a sandwich from the petrol station (or even better a sausage roll or pastie from the butchers). If you live in the village - just go home and make something yourself - it'll be better.

I tried this Subway because I hadn't visited one for ages. The food is ok, but it does taste mass produced. If you enjoy rolls or subs, it's reasonable value, but I wouldn't rush back.

I popped in for lunch and the food was quick and tasty. I was served by a polite young girl called Sophie and was in and out quickly. Best and quickest place to eat in Staplehurst.

Awful ( no stars if that was possible). The unbreathable stench polluting the atmosphere drives me to avoid adjacent premises as well. Surprised they don't fight harder to prevent them opening.

This is a Subway and they tend to serve the same menus so choice is uniform. However service and quality can vary between Subways. This one has been visited by myself on 5 occasions to date. The food has always been fresh and not too long to wait for it either. I've not had a bad 'sub' from here. Love the Italian BMT foot long on hearty Italian bread with plenty of salad. Parking is easy too - always a bonus when grabbing a takeaway! Well worth a visit.

Spicy Italian six inch sub with loads of salad - don't forget the jalapenas - and a cup of (good) coffee for three pounds. Fantastic, quickly produced and satisfying.

It might as well not be there , never have meatballs after about 3pm and a couple of times in the very rare amount of times I get subway they have said they have no bread ! Sort of defeats the whole point of a sub !

I visit the Spar store that this is housed in quite often, so decided to try the Subway. The selection was reasonable, with a good selection of rolls, but the food was very average. In terms of value, this Subway is reasonable, but in terms of quality of food, it's very average and certainly not memorable.

I am quite a fan of Subway as its quick and reasonable with a god variety of breads and of course fillings. I have tried a simply bacon roll at breakfast and eaten at various times of day. You can be healthy and pile things up with salad and have turkey breast which is nice and low in fat. I like to spice mine up with some jalepenos and a bit of the southwest chipotle sauce. This branch is small but always pretty clean and from what I have observed its clean and the staff wear gloves etc. Personally I have never had a problem with staff and I believe my expectations are fair given that this is a fast food business and not a gourmet restaurant.

Good food like all subways but nothing special. The customer service was excellent but there again it was my friend working there.
