Visited one night, when stopping in town. It happened to be the quiz night, so many of the tables were reserved. We did manage to get a good table however. Foodwise, I had the mango chicken skewer, and my wife had the steak and ale pie. Both meals were excellent, and good value. Nice range of beers also. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and had time for a chat.

Great food, great service and great price! Hannah was really attentive and provided a really friendly welcoming service!

The people and atmosphere is amazing the staff are nice and food is good. Would definitely recommend for others in the area.

Absolutely useless pub. There’s never any chefs apparently working. Food is crap and takes ages to come. I would 100% not recommend this place.

Popped in for a quick bit to eat, staff were lovely and at-tentative especially Jordan and Katrina. Food came out quickly and overall good atmosphere.

Fast service and hot tasty food. I was asked if my hunters chicken was ok and it was. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back.

The new management seem to have really turned things around. Much friendlier. Will defo be giving them another chance as the front of house team are really making an effort now. Shame the kitchen still has some work to do - although much improved, it’s not consistent!

Discovered the old manager has left and they now have a new one. The new one is brilliant nothing is to much for him. The food was lovely. Would definitely go again.

We booked for three adults and one child, they never seem to have the steak I want the past few times we have been, however still ordered and it was very nice today. Has been but hit and miss last few times we have been, last year the food was amazing early part of the year, noticed it went downhill from October, but was lovely last night. I hope when we come soon with a party of 15 everything is on the menu again and was the same quality as last night.

After 3 visits to the Feathers to enquire if a table was available for our chosen date and time, and following a complaint email to Greene King Head office, we finally received confirmation that a table was available. We had chosen the Feathers due to the Greene King menu options for our party of 15. Whilst Clare, the manager, was helpful on the evening, it was clear to see that the restaurant was short staffed. We thought we would be shown to our tables and drinks orders taken but it it appears you either do via an app (which was no help whatsoever) or order at the bar area - trying to remember 15 drinks was a challenge. Meals did come out and piping hot but due to being short staffed, meals were brought out in pairs. Cleanliness of tables/cutlery were in question and the crispy mushrooms for starters had clearly been cooked in stale oil. The rest of the meals were adequate pub grub. Male members of the party visited the toilets and returned horrified at the state of these as clearly not been attended to for some time during the day. We wanted this to be a special occasion for our daughter's birthday but we would not choose to have at the Feathers again.

Seriously the worst meal we have ever had when we eat out as a family. The staff where great and even the duty manager did all she could to help . The food was rank. Three out of the five meals we ordered , the chicken could not be eaten and had to be returned . Even when other food was brought out it was so greasy it could not be consumed . The cooking fat looked dirty and smelt. My wife had chicken legs and could not even be persuaded to taste them The restaurant was not busy yet we waited an hour for the food. I reckon it was not the regular chef who did the food but a stand in. We had been to the cinema and then popped in for a meal her after the kids movie. The chicken was seared on the outside but looked and felt like it had come from a cold fridge , as inside it was freezing cold. It had a strange looking coating on the bottom. Never have our children ,as one , refused to ever eat a meal when we are out. In fact they have never refused individually. All the way home they said they felt sick from the chicken. My wife kept saying she had a taste in her mouth from the chicken and felt sick. They need to sack the chef it was appalling , they clearly are not a chef . Only managed to get one photo as it was the taste and texture and temperature that was the problem as well as the presentation and quality of food. Plus with kids moaning it was too busy to take more photos . Sadly we cannot allow ourself to eat again at Green King Restaurants . We have used the hungry horse in the past and if the chef is not up to standard the food can be really hit and miss. Definately a miss here. We could have asked for a refund but it was so late and the kids where tired . Popped over to McDonald's on the way home to fill the gap.

Steak was pink .. ordered well-done Chips were cold Mac Cheese was luke warm Garlic bread luke warm Sent back and replaced with new steak and chips, this time hot and well done as originally ordered. Sorry guys but 2 visits was enough to decide that we will not be returning

I think the feathers has gone down hill since the manager Jody left. I think it needs bringing back up to standard all round we was most disappointed

I’d run a mile if you’re even considering this place! I don’t even know where to begin, quite inside maybe all of 5 tables. 40 minute wait for drinks which were pre ordered on the app, even had to go and ask for them twice! Over half of the menu was unavailable. The bbq wings had as much sauce as this place has cleanliness, far and few between. The food got delivered and we got told there was bits missing as they didn’t have it! Seemed as though only one poor lady was running around doing everything and sorting the issues whilst everyone else stood around chatting. Feel as though I’d of been better cutting up my money! No napkins, all the sauce bottles empty and the quality of food was shocking, cold and the steak was the driest thing I’ve ever seen!
