We had a lovely meal here whilst holidaying nearby in Ventnor. My partner had the famous ‘life changing lasagne’ and I had the fillet steak - that was perfectly cooked! We only wish we’d had room for dessert. The staff were very warm and welcoming and we’d definitely visit again if in the area.

Dragon Pearl has always been our place to go for a Chinese Takeaway when visiting the island. Usually we would eat in but as there was only the 2 of us it was more handy to have a takeaway. We had chicken fried rice, chips, Chicken curry & bbq spare ribs & as always we were not disappointed. My husband is Gluten intolerant so we did ask questions on whether or not the chicken curry was GF which it wasn't but we still had it anyway & it was delicious. They do however have lots of GF options on the menu which other restaurants/takeaways do not offer so this is always good to know. Great friendly staff too.

We were staying in the area and looking for island fish and chips! Rainbows was in the local village, ideal located on the corner there is no immediate parking but can park nearby Fresh fish and chips reasonably priced, great curry sauce Only opened limited hours but not sure if that’s due to the time of year we were there Lovely friendly staff

On first inspection this lovely boozer looks quite plain, but I think there's just so much space it takes you a while to get used to. The barmaid was wonderful and cheerful. The bar is just around the corner as you enter from the High Street and there are tables available throughout. Walk through to quite a sizeable beer garden which would be ideal in the summer. The Guinness was excellent as was the Ringwood Brewery Forty Niner.

Lovely little boozer in the heart of Shanklin. Small pub with wonderful bare wood flooring, with a small bar that just promises fantastic nights out with the locals. These are the down to earth place you dream about - especially after all the bright any shiny [places in London and the like. The barman was cheerful and had a bit of a chuckle with a couple of the locals, including the dog that was determined to have a high table to himself. Excellent place. The Fuggle Dee-Dum was excellent as was the Guinness.

The food at this place is the worst I've ever had the pleasure in buying for instance the chicken and cashew smelt like it had been sprayed with furniture polish our Complete order went straight in the bin a total waste of money I wouldn't bover with this place !

Popped into Mr T when I popped back to Island. Now I've been going to Mr T since around 1990 and have got to know the owners well. It's aways great to pop in there and see if they are all well. Food and menus hasn't really changed at all over the years, you get what it says on tin. Great food, brilliant service and great to see the staff and say hello ago. Keep up the good work

We visited here for the first time on my birthday for dinner and we all throughly enjoyed it. It was hard to choose what to have from the menu as it all sounded so good, but I opted for the sweet potato and spinach lasagne. It was great they allowed us to change the garlic bread for potatoes and I was very impressed with the salted caramel cheesecake. The service was brilliant and we all enjoyed the experience so much we said it was one of the best meals we’d ever had and have booked to come again between Christmas and New Year, so I am looking forward to trying something else from the menu.
